This is my second piercing at Black Pearl and I highly recommend them to all my friends. Ray is so kind and welcoming. I’ve walked in both times and was in and out within 30-45 mins. Will definitely be back!

I was introduced to the shop by my stepdaughter. Her experience has always been great there and recommended Daniel. For her birthday I facilitated matching tattoos for my wife and her daughters. Daniel did an amazing job with the artwork and the way he worked with them. It was my wives first and one of her girls first. That day I arranged my birthday present to myself, a Jeep tattoo. Daniel is an artist and a professional. The shop is awesome, the environment is professional, clean and energetic. The music playlist is so eclectic I would go there just to listen to the playlist.

My Rising first grade daughter had a wonderful experience getting her ears pierced. The shop is clean the people are friendly and Ray was amazing with her! After the piercings, She never once complained about her ears hurting. We are very satisfied with her results and would definitely recommend.

I had lost my pericing for my monroe on a trip in Puerto Rico. I went there to get a replacement. What was unexpected was they did it free of charge! Im planning on returning this week to get my nose pierced. I recommend them!

I came in as a walk in to get a piercing and Ray got me in right away. I was initially interested in double forward helix piercing but Ray told me it wouldn’t quite work with my ear so I went with a different option. He was professional, precise, friendly, and quick. Will be going back for future piercings!

The piercer Ray is awesome, he answered every silly question I had about different piercings with no judgement. You can tell he has a lot of knowledge and experience. I didn’t really even know what piercing I wanted when I came and left with a sternum piercing I love!

Very friendly staff. My artist Daniel was running half an hour late for my appointment, however he listened to what I wanted and discussed everything with me before I made an appointment the end of May to get my dragon tattoo done. We are only doing the outline at that time and will schedule then to get the colors done. There prices are reasonable too. I paid $60 as a down payment.

Got my lip pierced by Raymond, piercing looks great, I love it! He informed me on how to take care of it and when to switch the jewelry. He did a great job.

I came to this shop for a tribute tattoo for my late father who just passed two weeks ago. The staff was friendly and attentive, and I did not wait long for my consultation.I worked with Greg who was awesome. I showed him a reference photo of my dad and his tattoo that I was copying. It was simply We The People in the classic lettering, scaled down to fit my small arm.That was Thursday, and he fit me in the next day (today) first thing, when I was aiming for Saturday to have my brother get the same tattoo since hes coming into town that day. They were able to book him a spot for Saturday to work with our schedule on such short notice, so that we could essentially do it together.Greg was professional yet totally in his element and great to talk to.He worked quickly and delivered excellent results, Im very happy with my new piece of art, and I feel like a part of my dad is always going to be with me now.Thank you guys!!

Greg did my tattoo and it was amazing!!!! I made an appointment two weeks prior to getting it done, went over with Greg some pics I had brought in and he came up with an unique design. Hibiscus and plumerias with a tribal design intertwined. I was in the chair for 4 hours getting my shoulder tattoo. My biggest yet. I have smaller ones but wow. What an awesome artist. Greg talked me through everything and even freehanded some once the placement was made on my shoulder. I LOVE my tattoo and have gotten SO many compliments on it! The detail and coloring are amazing. The staff was great!!! I will definitely be returning.

I wanted another tattoo and came here on a friends recommendation. As soon as I met Greg, there was no question, he is my guy! We talked a good bit during my consultation before showing him what I wanted. The tattoo I wanted means a lot to me. I go in to have it done and Greg is so professional, funny, down to earth, and made me feel very comfortable. He did a FANTASTIC job and even added a bit more to it, making my tatt perfect! In a couple weeks I come back for my color. I HIGHLY recommend coming here and seeing Greg! I will definitely be back!!!

Ray was awesome! My daughter and I pierced our nostrils, shes 14, he was patient, funny and put her at ease. It was also fast and relatively painless.

We took our 9 year old daughter to get her ears pierced last Saturday and we could not have been more pleased. Ray made her feel as comfortable and calm as he could. Of course there were tears but he made sure she was ready before each ear and we were in and out with both ears pierced. We highly recommend Ray.

2 piercings on impulse, and they got us right in as a walkin. My kid was nervous but the staff did a great job. Its rare when a tattoo shop can make a firstimer feel at ease. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing staff! I didnt get the tattoo, my wife did. But it turned out Absolutely AMAZING. Highly recommend this black pearl, just please do yourself a favor and if you have children; there are no children allowed. (This was not a deterrent, just an fyi) The other option is body piercing at black pearl. Which I have heard is amazingly professional as well.

Ray is such a doll. Honestly. Ive gotten piercings at so many places and only ever went 1 time and then never again, but Ray is so nice and helpful. He doesnt drag the experience out, doesnt over explain anything or make me feel like Im just like Im just a transaction. I would recommend him over and over. So far, hes done 4 of my piercings and he will continue to do all of them. Much love to black pearl.

I’ve been going to Tattoo World in Fayetteville for All my tattoo work. This is the first tattoo my wife and I have had outside of TW. Our artist at The Black Pearl was Paul and he was AWESOME! Did a fantastic job on both our tattoos. Priced perfect! Atmosphere awesome! And done in a very timely manner! Clean! And the list goes on!!! Thanks to Paul and all the staff at Black Pearl.We will be going back!!!

First tattoo for me. I showed them what I wanted and they said they would need to make it much, much bigger. So I “went back to the drawing board” to find an alternative. As my friend and I were looking on our phones for alternate ideas they keep bugging us to fill out the legal paper work. We finally got our tattoos. The artist was nice enough but really gave us no instructions on how to care for it. We looked up online ourselves for instructions. In the end, after doing more research I realized the original tattoo I wanted was a “stick & poke” technique that apparently they don’t offer. Knowing that now makes me hate the big chunky tattoo I ended up with. Pictures are: what I wanted vs what I got. I guess it’s my own fault for not doing more research ( and as you can see the lines aren’t evenly spaced for some reason)

Hana did such an amazing job!! Linework was tight and it was an great experience. Will comeback again.

I had a wonderful experience at the Black Pearl Tattoo Company. I had called ahead asking if they were taking walk-ins for piercings (as I wanted my third lobes done) and I didnt just get a yes, but a very delightful of course we are! Upon arriving, everyone there was extremely nice, warm, and welcoming. I cannot express enough how comfortable I felt with the piercer and the atmosphere of the facility. The piercer, Cassidy was very patient with me and took the time to make sure the placement of my piercing was exactly where I wanted it (even if I had asked her to change it three times). She also thoroughly explained the healing process and expressed if I had any questions to come back and/or give them a call. She also made sure I was feeling okay before leaving the room. I did not catch the name of the man at the register as I was leaving, but he doubled checked and made sure everything went well and I was satisfied. He too reiterated to call them or visit if I had any problems or questions. I would 100% recommend the Black Pearl Tattoo Company and would definitely go back!

I went in to the shop today for a belly button piercing and I had an amazing experience. The piercer talked me through the process and happily answered every question I asked, while easing my nerves about getting the piercing done. I also had a consultation about a tattoo cover up and the artist, Greg Robinett, was completely honest about the process and what needed to be done in order to completely cover the old tattoo. I could not have been happier with my experience. I would highly recommend going to this shop.

Ray is AMAZING! He pierced my Dad’s ears (he has been wanting them pierced for YEARS, he finally did it after he turned 63) and he wears his earrings proudly. Ray did a phenomenal job, he was professional and courteous. I highly recommend Black Pearl for all your piercing and tattoo needs. The shop is CLEAN and they work hard to keep it that way. I have been going there for many years. Awesome bunch of folks.

The crew at Black Pearl are fantastic! Very clean, professional and friendly! I trust Ray with my piercings and took my daughter to get her nose pierced by Ray. It was a great experience, he explains everything going on and is patient and very accommodating. I’ve been tattooed by Greg Robinett here and not only is it a beautiful custom design but he is very light handed tattooer and it hurt a lot less than any other one I’ve had. It’s also healing up amazingly well. I love the other artist Daniel’s work and plan on getting tattooed by him sometime soon. I highly recommend Black Pearl for piercings and tattoos!

I’ve been here for multiple piercings and I’ve had a good experience each time. Their piercer is so sweet, fast and makes sure you feel comfortable. Clean and also the shop is so cool, and the music is cool too. The only place I’d go too 🖤

I would give 0 if I could. Sent them an email to inquire about getting a babys ears pierced. It was a very polite email simply asking for information. Their answer was: Absolutely not. How rude and unprofessional. Will definitely check any other tattoo shops before I go to this one for any other service ever again. I recommend you do the same, theres too many tattoo shops in Raleigh to be dealing with disrespectful people who dont value what a potential customer could mean for a business. BYE.

I have been coming here for 6 years since I got my very first nostril piercing! Ray has always been clean, kind, and beyond professional and has always treated his customers as though theyre friends! Hes quick and very professional when it comes to his piercings and tries to make it as painless as possible. In the past 6 years hes done maybe 10 or so piercings on me, and every single one has been wonderful and nearly painless 😁 I have also gotten every tattoo on my body here and always leave happy! Greg is my go-to guy now and his line work and detail is amazing. The artists always try to work with you to make sure you get what you want and are happy with, and make suggestions on the tattoo you want so itll hold up over time, I suggest listening to them because every time theyve made a suggestion to me they were absolutely correct. I cant recommend this place enough!

I got my cartilage piercing done here a while ago (sadly I had to take it out it got infected about two months afterward) anyway Ray was the one that did my piercing and he did a really good job, my mom took me to get it done and she agreed. He was gentle, he talked me through it and he did it very quickly and painlessly. He was very friendly, funny, and helpful. I would definitely recommend going to the Black Pearl. I am most likely going back soon to get my nose pierced!

I went in this past week for my appointment to have my nose pierced by Ray. Ray pegged that I was nervous right off the bat and was really kind about it. He explained the process, made sure I was happy with where he would pierce my nose and explained what aftercare should consist of. He was thorough in answering my (million) questions and went into detail so I understood the “whys”. At the end, I was given his card which listed the aftercare instructions and a card for the studio as well in case I had any questions or concerns down the line. I was in and out of the studio within 10-15 minutes altogether including filling out the paperwork and the piercing itself. I’ll definitely be back in the future!

Ray did an amazing job with piercing me yesterday! I emailed to set up an appointment, everything is super clean, and they are going above and beyond to keep everyone safe as we re-enter our new normal. Ray kept everything professional and kept me distracted with conversation. Definitely will be going back!

Ray was extremely professional when I scheduled my daughters nose piercing. He educated me on what nose rings work best for teens. When we came in for the piercing he was respectful and on time. He in top notch in my book. She now wants her belly button pierce. See you soon Ray.

I was experiencing an awful migraine one afternoon. So many friends encouraged me to get the daith ear piercing to relieve the migraines. Suggestions were made by many to go to Ray at blAck Pearl. He was sanitary, quick and did an excellent job. Ray did his best to calm my nerves and make me laugh!I’ve had this piercing now for over three years and would definitely go back there for piercings!

My daughter and I have both had multiple piercings done by Ray. He is, hands down, the best piercer I’ve ever worked with. He explains the process thoroughly, is gentle, kind, and clean. He takes his work seriously and the care for his customers shows.

Got my first ear piercings and my wife got 3 new ones and a nose. Simple and straightforward process. I think a lot of the rude reviews are people who are sensitive snowflakes. These guys are just doing business and not wasting time coddling folks. Going back for more holes soon.

If we could give Ray from Black Pearl 10 stars, he would deserve each and every one!! Our 13 year old daughter got her nostril pierced today, and Ray was beyond excellent. He answered our questions with actual explanations, and did not make us feel uncomfortable for asking. During the procedure, he made sure she knew everything that was going to happen, and kept her calm and relaxed (I wish I could say the same for myself!!) He gave her breathing instructions that she said really helped, and she even asked if it was done, what do you know....it was! Afterwards Ray gave clear and simple after care instructions, as well as a card in case we forget!! We were very impressed with Ray’s professionalism through the whole process (20 minutes tops from walking in to walking out), we have a very happy daughter and her piercing is super cute, placed perfectly! Thank you, Black Pearl, for having Ray on your team, we will definitely recommend his services!!

If you’re in the Clayton area and looking to get some piercing work done, this is the place to go. Ray is professional and courteous. The first piercing he did for me, he explained how to clean the jewelry and I I’ve never had any issues with any of my piercings done by Ray. I will never go anywhere else for a piercing. I got my very first tattoo here years ago and from the moment I walked in I felt comfortable. Ray was up at the front and helped me with the paperwork and made me feel so welcome. I have been going here for a few years and having Greg do awesome Japanese style work on me. His work is totally top notch! I have experienced some ignorant people come in there and especially have seen to have ridiculous issues with the piercer. Poor guy tries hard to take care of people and some people are just ignorant of a tattoo shop and piercings protocol. Most likely, just ignorant period Health, cleanliness, and safety people! This isnt a fast food joint! Follow the rules, its really that simple and understand that things do happen. And to those that bash like the woman I heard call in today and not try to resolve the issue in a proper manner, SHAME on you. You need to talk to people properly and come to a solution with patience! Anyhow, Greg is the guy to see when you want great custom work. I promise you that you wont be disappointed with his attention to detail and expertise!

I have had several piercings by Ray and a couple of tattoos at Black Pearl. I was very comfortable from the initial conversation through the end of each process. I was told what to expect, I felt at ease and they explained aftercare. From the customer service to the work itself this is a top notch group.

I went in to get my septum and nose ring changed out (im not comfortable doing it myself because i fainted once from trying to change it out when it wasnt quite healed which is embarrassing as is). I called ahead to let them know about my situation and they seemed cool about it. When I walked in, the front desk lady looked bewildered when I told her what I was there for (and I called no more than 10 mins prior) and gave me somewhat of an attitude. The vibes were just really off putting and weird.The piercer made me really self conscious about my piercings, asked if he had done them, and when i said no, he said under his breath i know its crooked. Which to me was totally unnecessary and something i barely even noticed myself so why point it out? Appreciate them changing my jewelery out, but will not be going back again for any reason...

Just had my nose repierced by Ray and he was professional, very knowledgeable, told me which jewelry he was using (labret), since it was different from what the piercer used then in 2011 piercing (corkscrew). Gave great care instructions and will check in with him in a few months!

Got my septum done here. I had an issue with it staying in place when Id flip it up and I had an event to be at that weekend so I had to take it out due to the piercer not being in the shop to be able to take care of it. I had it for less than a week:( however I called the following Monday, he was super understanding about it & offered me to come back once it was fully healed within 3-4 weeks to get it repierced free of charge!😃 Second time around he gave me a smaller horseshoe & it stays flipped up very nicely when I need it to! I love it so much, its by far my favorite piercing😁 the piercer himself is very nice & keeps you calm through the process of piercing. Tools were all fresh out of the package & shop looks clean in general:)

I bought my daughter here to have her ears pierced for her birthday. She had been asking for a couple years to get them done. Ray ( if my memory serves me correctly as Im horrible remembering names) the piercer here was an absolute pleasure and absolutely amazing through the process. My daughter got scared right before it was time to have it done after a little calming and reassurance she was ready to have them pierced. This entire little episode Ray was so sweet with her. He kept letting her know if she changed her mind it was ok. He convinced her to let him put the little marker dots on her ears to see where they would be placed so she could imagine earrings there. Yup she was ready! He was great with her through it all. Im extremely happy with the amazing person Ray was and and future piercings hes who Ill be going back to see!

An amazing experience. 💯💯 Im terrible with names but the chick at the front/counter was really nice and the man that pierced my tongue was awesome too. Im definitely going back to change my jewelry, and maybe get my sons ear pierced!!! I recommend for sure ☺️☺️

Got a conch piercing last week, love it. Great place.

I got my nose pierced at this location. Ray did a good job with the piercing and gave me a “good quality” hoop according to him. However, he did not give me any information about the material my hoop was made of, or even the gauge of it, he didn’t tell me what complications could occur after a piercing either( I had no knowledge at all and I told him it was my first piercing) I had to do most of my research online. When I called to ask all the information he never gave me I got a rude and sarcastic attitude. Wouldn’t go back there again.

Overall just not the best vibe, they were pretty rude, narcissistic, and plus the piercer is constantly stoned. When I went to get a Christian tattoo (a cross) the arist (who does have skill) told me that my religion was false and to let him know when I realized that it was a mistake and need a cover up because “Gods not real”. Another issue I have is he didnt work with me on the design he just kinda wrote one up before I showed up, and brought out the stencil immediately, then he was talking about “youre here for my artwork, not necessarily exactly what you want”(how do you say no when they charge you $60 before your appointment) Another time I came in I was chatting in in the lobby with someone about their piercings, and the girl asked how much the septum hurts and I said “for some people its painless other people it hurts pretty bad mine was like a 7/10” and the piercer who seemed aggressive said “since he knows everything why dont you just have him pierce you” but again they do have skill but they don’t seem to have much respect for others beliefs.

Ray was super knowledgeable and helpful through all the piercings he did on me. At least 10. He did the double piercing in my nose, pierced the other side also. Did my back dermals, when they came out earlier than expected he offered to redo them at no extra cost! Which was awesome, because anyone with dermals knows that sometimes they just pop out. Did a chest dermal lower than the other one I had because the other piercer told me I couldn’t go lower, but I could & ive had that one for years now. And multiple ear piercings, I’ve brought multiple friends to him because of how great of a piercer he is.

I have gotten 3 piercings at Black Pearl Tattoo Company from the piercer, Ray, and all have been absolutely amazing! Very professional, clean, and friendly. All of my piercings have healed quickly with no infections after following Rays advice. Great prices also. I highly recommend this shop!

Took my daughter who is 12 years old to see Ray for her septum piercing. He was very professional and made her feel comfortable. He explained everything to her step by step as well as the after care she needed to follow. I highly recommend Ray. He is a professional and very friendly and nice.

I’ve gotten 8 tattoos done at Black Pearl so far, and they are professional and friendly, and I have always felt comfortable putting myself in the hands of any artist there. Ray (the piercer) has pierced my nose twice, my septum, my conch, my lip twice, and my smiley. He has always been able to answer any questions I’ve had with a professional attitude. He most recently did my daughter’s ears, and she has sensory issues so I was nervous how she would react. But he was calm with her and explained each step to her, and she handled it wonderfully. I’ve never had any problems with his work that weren’t because of something I was doing (ie, playing too much with it or not cleaning it properly). I have had nothing but great experiences with this shop all around.

Professional, polite and very detail oriented staff. Very accommodating too. They work with your budget. Greg gave me the best tattoo Ive ever had.It is a cover up and it is EXQUISITE!! Virtually painless even after 4 1/2 hours in the chair. They do body piercings as well. Very clean place. Warm and inviting. You must get your 1st or next tattoo here. Greg has made me a permanent customer. Dont look or go anywhere else. Come here 1st. I wish I could give them 10 stars. I most highly reccomend.

Stopped by for help removing an old daith piercing. The shop seemed busy and I was still greeted quickly. The piercer, Ray, was professional and the whole shop looked very clean and well maintained. I would return here for my next piercing or tat.

I cant say enough nice things about Ray at Black Pearl. This is going to be long because I think Ray needs major kudos for working with a scared, nervous, and jumpy little girl.I made an appointment with Ray to have my 9-year old daughter, Betties ears pierced. Ray was phenomenal. When I made the appointment, I let Ray know that Bettie was pretty scared and nervous, but was insistent. She will admit that shes a bit of a wimp when it comes to pain, so I was pretty nervous myself about how shed react.Bettie started to cry as Ray was setting up. She calmed herself down and said she wanted to go through with it. Ray was very comforting and we both let her know that this was her decision and if she wanted to walk out, it was okay. She decided she wanted to do it. She was nervous and jumpy, even as he just marked the location on her earlobes. He explained every step to her. I think understanding the process helped. She asked about the metal in the earrings because wed talked about my sensitivity to nickel. Ray explained that the jewelry he uses is nickel free, so we were good to go.We had her talking and even giggling a little, then Ray pierced the first ear when she wasnt paying attention. She yelled a little, then started laughing. He got the earring in and she stood up to look at it in the big mirror. She took a selfie, then prepped herself for ear number 2.Ear number 2 took longer than ear number 1. I was constantly amazed at Rays patience and kindness. Bettie waffled and cried and was freaking out a little. I loved how Ray treated her like a person...speaking to her and really relating to her. He suggested that she watch one of her favorite YouTube videos to distract herself. He even gave her a stuffed possum to squeeze, and after what felt like forever, ear number 2 was done.Ray explained to Bettie how to take care of her new ear piercings. He was clear about keeping her hands off of them and told her shed need to wash them with gold Dial soap. Shes been cleaning her ears once a day in the shower, and theyre healing beautifully. He told her theyd itch a little as they heal, and they have been, but shes been awesome about keeping her hands off of them.Bettie was super proud of herself and has had nothing but great things to say about her experience. Shes been recommending Ray to all of her friends.It takes a lot to work with kids (and Id argue some adults who act like kids...), and not everyone is well suited for it. Ray is definitely a professional. At no time did Bettie feel pressured to hurry up and calm down. He was genuinely patient and kind and she adores him for it. It was a great experience all the way around. Id recommend Ray with confidence to anyone looking for a safe and great piercing experience.

I dont do a lot of piercings, but I needed to get my daith pierced for migraine prevention. Ray was awesome, explaining the whole process and postcare. Didnt make any promises about the migraines, but he was super helpful, got me in and out right away, and was super cool.

Worst experience!I only went to have my nose ring replaced because I lost mine when it fell out.The only thing I can compare it to is the Golden Spiral Studios in Greensboro. When comparing the two, the other one was careful to instruct me as to how to care for my piercing, it thoroughly cleaned the sight and sterilized the area that held the tools and nose ring. They also measured the thickness of my nose to make sure the piercing fit properly.The guy at the Black Pearl had me sit back, no sooner did I lean back had he ripped out the temporary ring I had in my nose and shoved the other one in. No cleaning or measuring. I am not even sure he washed his hands. He did put gloves on though. I told him it was my daughters nose ring and I wasnt sure it would fit. After he forced it through I had told him how much it hurt and that it felt like it was too tight and that it was throbbing.He gave me some quick excuse but treated me like I was too ignorant to understand.When yanking the temporary one out he left the backing I had put on it to keep it in place. I was in and out in just a few minutes. My nose was bleeding inside and he didnt even check or give me something to wipe it up.I would never go back or recommend it to anyone!

Fantastic! I had to come here because a jewel fell off of a dermal I received somewhere else out of town. He took time to explain everything and was empathetic and courteous. Sometimes those habits mean everything. Thank you! Love my new jewelry and my new my piercings!

Nice guys! I had a tattoo done by Greg, he drew up something very similar to the picture I brought in. Great artist, and he has a lot of experience. He got a lot done in the two hours I was there. Definitely good value for your money. Ill be back! Also he had a lot of interesting, funny stories to pass the time and keep my mind off the needles.

Local jewelry shops were unable to do ear piercings so I gave Black Pearl a call for my daughter. Staff was very professional and made her feel comfortable by talking her through the steps. She barely felt the needle and had little to no pain afterwards. Super clean shop. Some COVID restrictions apply (limit number of people inside).

I was sold H20 ocean spray for 10 dollars. I get home and try to use it, the can was half empty. I went in for a daith piercing, and the placement was very off and never healed right. I went to a different piercer and got it pierced with better placement, so the issue was not my anatomy. I got my nose and belly button pierced here as well, which went fine, hence the 2 stars.

Came here to comment on the overall rudeness of this shop, but all you need for proof on their lack of professionalism is to read their responses to other customers.Overall, there are much better options nearby to get much higher quality artwork and better piercers, but mainly this review is because they are rude and not sure who the guy is working the front but he is NOT an asset to your business, again, judging by other reviewers he has ran off plenty of people. A business can fail because of poor employees. Hope the owner realizes that before it is too late.In the end, I took my money elsewhere and got amazing tattoos and piercings this past week and I hope others heed the warning....I will just sit back and wait for the rude unprofessional reply back from this establishment. Because I expect no better from them.

Just let me say Rob Rutherford is the best artist Ive ever had. I have a couple tattoos all from different artist but Rob is different than most. With Rob its just not another tattoo its an experience. He will make sure you leave nothing but happy. The level of work he puts out is incredible. When your sitting in his chair you know you are taken care of. Hes man of many talents and whatever you want he can make sure its the best youll get. The shop is immaculate, clean and comfortable. Rob take pride in his shop and that makes his other artist give you nothing but a 5 star experience. You will not regret going to Black Pearl Tattoo Company.

If you want to feel comfortable getting a piercing do NOT go see Ray at Black Pearl. He was extremely sarcastic, rolled his eyes the whole time, AND raised his voice at me. He wanted to yell about me being sterile after not even washing his hands before my piercing. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. STAY FAR AWAY.

Ive been here a couple times to get piercings and was looking into getting a tattoo here until I ran into Ray and he was extremely rude when I asked about pricing. I will be taking my money else where and hope they find a nicer face for the sake of the company.

The younger guy with the long hair who does mainly all the piercings is very rude! With a very bad sarcastic attitude. I have 4 tattoos and 9 piercings, I went there for a carteldge piercing and he was rough to the touch and it hurt worse than my nose even did!! Plus they are outrageously priced. 40$ for one piercing when I could have went to the one not even 10 miles away and go it done for 10-15$.

I went to Black Pearl on my birthday to get a 3D butterfly tattoo done. I had my first tattoo done at this location 6 years ago, it was different owners then. When I went in I showed the guy pictures of designs and colors that I liked, to give him an idea of what I wanted. He gave me a hard time and said he will do it his way. He showed me a picture on his phone of a “3D” butterfly that he had done for another customer and it did not look good. I don’t think he knows how to do lifelike art. He also said he couldn’t do the watercolor look that I wanted. He then told me to find the person that did the art in the picture that I liked and have them do my tattoo. Nate was very rude and unprofessional. He drew up art that he wanted to do and It was not what I wanted. I paid him for the time he took to draw the art. I don’t want anyone that is rude and arrogant putting permanent art on my body. I walked out of this place and got my tattoo done at another shop and they gave me the 3D watercolor butterfly tattoo that I wanted.

My daughter and I have both had piercings done by Ray. He was professional and informative. We have recommended him to any friends asking about piercing.

Abt the most rude, arrogant tattoo artist I have ever been around. Greg is horrible!! If you are ok w getting subpar work but paying rude, seemingly heartless artists to do it then rock on!In response to cannot find paperwork, lets just say Im not surprised at the lack of book keeping. I most definitely have a tattoo from Greg that he said he liked so much that he kept the stencil. If you keep records the way you are supposed to there, should be able to figure it out.

Greg did a portrait of my dog today & it turned out 100x times better than I could’ve imagined! I’m amazed at how much it actually looks like her! I was nervous coming from a different shop but I will definitely be back (SOON) I can’t wait to book the next one 😍

The girl at the front desk is awful. Terrible first impression for this place. The piercers weren’t friendly really, but they were professional and we were happy in the end and that’s all that matters. If I hadn’t gotten a trusted reference to go here, the front desk would have made me leave.

Extremely rude. They recommend appointments and everytime I tried to call, all I got was attitude. Dont put appointments highly recommended on your Instagram then get pissed and refuse to schedule me one. Im not driving 45 mins on the off chance I might be able to talk to someone. Not my first tattoo, I have several, I have a general idea how things work. I also like how the employees and owner have reviewed their own shop. Nice work, guys.

Ray is an amazing piercer, very chill, professional and funny, doesn’t act like he thinks he’s better than anyone, was there when I needed help fixing a piercing I got somewhere else, does a good job, clean shop, has pierced me 7 times, and everyone in my family including my 7yr old daughter…only downside is the lack of parking space and the front desk woman is a little abrasive but I didn’t interact with her much…will always highly recommend Ray and will be going back soon

THE ONLY TIME I HEARD HIM SPEAK BESIDES THE QUICK RUN THROUGH AT THE END ABOUT SOAP AND THE DIRECTION WILL BE ON A CARD WAS WHEN HE WAS TRYING TO SAY RUDE COMMENTS ABOUT ME TO THE LADY THAT WAS STANDING THERE, I HAVE NO IDEA WHO SHE WAS OR WHY SHE WAS THERE BECAUSE RAY HAD SUCH A PROBLEM WITH TO MANY PEOPLE IN THE ROOM AND WHERE I WAS STANDING BUT I WAS STANDING AT MY KIDS FEET AND THE ONLY OTHER PERSON WITH US BESIDES THE KID WAS MY SISTER THAT WASNT ABLE TO BE IN THE ROOM BECAUSE AS RAY SAID IT THE WHOLE FAMILY CANT BE IN HERE! I UNDERSTAND ITS A TATTOO SHOP BUT THIS WAS A 14 YEAR OLD GIRL HE WAS RUINING THIS FOR! HER FIRST PIRCING SO SHE HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS GOING ON OR WHAT TO EXPECT AND RAY SHOULD OF AT LEST TAKEN TIME OUT TO EXPLAIN THINGS TO HER. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO COSTUMER SERVICE WHAT SO EVER!
