This is my 2nd trip to Monsters Ink. It will not be my last!!!! Loco was amazing. His work is spot on. I cant wait to work with him again. Plus, love the shop....all of it. And I love the specials they do for different groups!!! Thank you from a teacher!!!

My wife and I both got tattoos today, it was a great experience. Good music, great people, fantastic tattoo work. Youll have to pardon my hairy back in the photos, but to let you know how awesome they are, Ill embarrass my half Sasquatch self...Chelsea and Dustin are both amazing. Chels did my wifes arm, Dustin did my back (it was a repair job on an old, ****y tattoo).

Brandon is the best! I’ve gotten two very different styles from him in the last month because he’s so light handed and detailed. I love the way that the shop gets together to make sure pricing is set fairly and approved with you before they start working. Awesome place, always an amazing environment, very clean. I’ve brought my mother in law and two friends here just to ‘convert them’. Thanks for taking care of us!

Went in last night to get a tattoo of my son’s birth flower to add to a piece I’ve been wanting to get, Chelsea is absolutely amazing! I gave her free range on this tattoo, just showed a simple reference photo and she made it come to life and made it exactly how I pictured all on her own. She is great at what she does and she is such a fun person to be around! I will definitely go back to monsters ink and will definitely be going back to Chelsea to help me finish the rest of my design! Thank you so much for all the help last night and making this tattoo so perfect.

Chelsea has done both of my memorial tattoos and she will be doing my sleeve! I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences each time I have been. I can tell you I will never be going to another tattoo shop or ever let anyone else tattoo me! She asked me about the stories behind these tattoos she laughed with me cried with me I love her they truly treat their clients like family!!!

Request a design for a Back tattoo to honor my husbands military service. I lost him 3 years ago. I gave Loco an assignment to create a back tattoo that had my husbands medals & service in Vietnam. I had the dragon and a horse on my back that he covered up for me only because I wanted one solid pc of work. Loco came up with 7 different designs and I fell in love with this pc so much so I started crying. I just did my eight sitting at 8-12 hrs a pc and I have one more to go. I get so many compliments when ppl see it and let me tell you that I am a baby to pain but Loco took care of me. I will never let anyone tattoo me unless its him. He completed one tattoo already for me & thats how I met this gentleman the shop is filled with such amazing artists so laid back and relaxing its like being surrounded by a bunch of family members. After this pc I already know of another one that I want. I trust Loco and I give him free range to create an original pc of work for me that no one else will have. If you want work done this is the man to see and this is the atmosphere you want when getting a tattoo.

Absolutely loved this place Jayy and Dustin did amazing work on me and my girlfriend! Everyone is very sweet there would recommend this place to anyone !

Weve been coming here for years and love the vibe of the shop. Monster does excellent work. Were so glad we no longer have to drive to Houston for touch-ups or new pieces. Very happy and highly recommend

This place was amazing! My wife and I came in and wanted 2 tattoos each. Luigi was quick to get them drawn and ready to go. He was incredibly nice and had the best music playlist going. The overall process was one of the best! Monster came in a few hours into our session and applied a cartoon stencil on our 11 year old to make her feel included. She’s gone to several appointments with us and this was the first time anyone has done that with her! Super cool guys, super cool place. We will be back!

I LOVE THIS SHOP. And I LOVE CHELSEA! So starting with the shop, it is a super fun shop and all the artists are really chill. I have walked into a lot of tattoo shops and felt intimidated but I definitely don’t get that vibe here. They’re all super fun and welcoming and make getting your tattoo way more fun than it already is. Chelsea is my artist. I’ve gotten three pieces so far by her and she is just an incredible badass woman. Love supporting women artists but she’s also just SO talented. And SO sweet. She makes you feel so comfortable and like you can actually speak up regarding your wants and needs for the tattoo which is awesome. I’ve definitely felt at times in the past with previous artists almost like anything I may have wanted or changed I was like bothering them. Which isn’t the energy you want when it’s something permanently on you. So I 10/10 recommend monsters ink and the homie Chelsea.

Monsters ink is an awesome place to get your tattoos done!!! The vibe of the whole shop is really cool and everyone working there is chill so it’s easy to get comfortable and feel welcomed. These people are amazing! They take walk-ins! I had a group of 3. 2 of us got piercings and all 3 got small tattoos. They are all super sweet and super fun to talk with. Plus their cats are adorable! Looking at Courtneys beautiful artwork, Im glad we got to work with her. Thank you for the great experience!

My son and I had a few piercings done about 3 weeks ago. Was an amazing experience I decided to get another one a week later. We will be going for more soon.

Jay did my first tattoo ever and was an excellent artist to have! I immediately came in the next day to have my second piece done by him as well. The line work has healed beautifully, and he made the process very smooth and efficient.

Ashley did amazing piercing my baby’s ears almost two months ago, and I talked with john about a tattoo, and he said he would do it but when contacted he was no longer doing tattoos so I hit up the shop and they said to come in and they would do it, Luigi was there got the design done perfectly and did a great job!! So regardless I got what I wanted and it was an amazing job done by a great artist, I’m always mentioning to my friends to go there and get their piercing and tattoos done!! Great service, great laughs, great talks! Felt like family!! I’ll be going to monster ink tattoos for all my piercings and tattoo wants!! 👏🏼👏🏼🧡Thank you to the monster ink family!

Went to MonstersInk tattoo off 1488 today for there $25 flash deal. My boy Jayy is the man who tattooed me. He did an amazing job, his line work is super neat, he’s light handed. We have good conversations. Would definitely recommend goin and checkin in him. I will 100% be going back to him. Thank you Boss

5/5/2024… I got the opportunity to work with Javier on this beautiful piece that I have been wanting for a while. He was super sweet and he constantly made sure I was okay. His line work is beautiful and the shading is amazing! He did such an amazing job and I plan on going back for more big pieces

Brought my wife in here to get a few piercings. Called ahead to see if they accept walk-ins and Cameron was awesome on the phone. Short and sweet conversation.When we walked in we were greeted and one of the artists tried to pull a quick one on us about NOT DOING PIERCINGS. Lol. But Cameron was right there and got up to greet us. She talked to my wife about the piercings she wanted and answered all questions we had. All 3 piercings were done in under 5 minutes. Cameron walked through every piercing and what to expect and kept everything calm and cool! Definitely the smoothest piercing experience.! 100% cool and down to earth. Kept my wife comfortable & talked through after care with us. Great job Mrs. Cameron! Will be back for the other side, Im sure.!

Did both tattoo and piercing. Customer service was phenomenal and the artist know what they are doing. Will definitely be returning and recommending to others. Lokote did my tattoo and Chelsea did my septum piercing. 10/10 service!

Went for their Friday the 13th special. They did a very wonderful banana. My artist was Luigi, although I think handlebar suits his mustache better. He was calm, cool, and collected, personable and funny. His lines are very very clean and coloring on point. I also wanted the Ozzy special and the choice of faces weren’t the best but boy did Luigi do a great job. We meet halfway on the first face since he wasn’t supposed to make changes but with less material being used and a quicker turn around time it made sense. He surprised me on the second face and took a chance, I could’ve hated it but he was quick at gauging my style and knocked it out of the park. I loved it. I would highly recommend this place, haven’t gotten to detailed stuff here but Luigi was definitely the lightest hand I’ve had. Like butter over the skin. Well worth the matching gratuity I chose to give. As an artist I’d say he’s a great asset to this establishment and his table side manners are on point.

Luigi was great!! Loved the atmosphere, my son loved the cats!! He was able to get 4 tattoos done when we walked in. Was definitely a great experience for my sons first tattoos! Will go back for all of ours!

Came here maybe a month or two ago for a quote on a back piece. Person tattooing greeted me, but never gave me any quotes. Only stated I couldnt afford it as itd be thousands to thousands- out of your budget. I never stated a budget for myself. They were busy with another person but encouraged me to ask while they tattooed the customer. Never gave me straight answers, and it felt more discouraging like unwanted rather than hopeful. Im just glad my friends like it here!

Im turning 50. have had multiple piercings, few tattoos and this IS the best tattoo shop Ive ever been to in my life!!!!! will be going back. Thank you, Chelsea Nichole!! 😍 theyre so beautiful!!!!!

I went in about a month ago and got my vertical labret pierced and i thought it was crooked because it was healing and swollen but i decided to go back in on friday to get it checked out. keep in mind that she charged $75 and i tipped $5 because i’m a broke high school student for the initial piercing ($80 was the total). i got there and she was like yeah this is a quick fix and then she told me that “your lip could’ve moved around in the clamp it happens” trying to blame her mistake on me?… and then turned around and tried to charge me $30 for a mistake she made? so this piercing would’ve cost me $110 total. i’m all for paying someone their worth, but this was not worth it. i thought that was insane. i didn’t get my money back until my mom called and questioned her. they look like a good place for tattoos but definitely not piercings. anyways that’s just my experienceEdit - I added the after photo and there is a visable scar that is crooked since y’all wanna be petty and can’t own up to ur mistakes like grown adults

Do not recommend this place. I came in to get this tattoo just touched up. (Original artist is out of state) The orange was extremely faded and I just wanted it filled in solid. After that session, it was very splochy and not solid color. Went in to get it fixed (again).. And all the owner said was yeah orange is a B****... but had it approved for someone else to try again. After that session healed, there arent even straight lines anymore, and STILL SPLOCHY. Super disappointed!

I had been traveling back to memphis for my tattoos but decided to give monsters ink a shot and i’m so glad i did!the studio was very clean and everyone was super friendlymy friend & i walked in for small butterfly tattoo, they worked with us until we figured out exactly what we wanted. tripp did a great job and the whole experience was solid!will be back (prob too soon) for my next one!

Was told $100 after wards then its $200. Was referred to buy my work college but no will never go back. They just ripped me of.

Chelsea did my nose piercing. I was not given an option on jewelry. L post. Different gauge than what I was told. I had constant issues on the healing process despite me following after care provided by Ashley to the T. Ashley was very kind and worked with providing additional advice via text (would actually give 3.5 stars because of her efforts) and checked my healing twice but when I finally asked if I could just get my jewelry changed out (I felt the type of jewelry was actually contributing to it not healing well) - I never received a response. Ended up getting it changed elsewhere and fortunately, its healing amazingly.----------------------------------------------------------------------Response from the owner3 weeks ago:I’m sorry I didn’t respond to your satisfaction as we were traveling. However, I have responded to every question you have ever asked. Healing is different for everyone and we tried to work through the entire process with you. You could’ve came in any day and we would’ve taken care of you as stated many times.----------------------------------------------------------------------3.20.24 Okay, you were traveling. If a customer was having ongoing issues with healing and reached out I guess my expectation would have been to find a way to get that customer assistance even if you werent personally able to provide that assistance. A simple, Hey, Im out of town but so and so is at the store and is available to assist. I did come in to the store, 2 different occasions. Additionally you told me I had a keloid. A keloid doesnt just go away. So telling me to try putting toothpaste on a keloid didnt even make sense. I did it because I was trying to follow your advice but thats where I had to make a decision that was best for me and elected to get assistance elsewhere. Thanks.

Had a small piece done by Luigi, very well done and Luigi was excellent at helping me tweak the design I had in mind, shop was clean and well maintained - love this places vibe.That said - the owners are absolutely top notch and responsive. I reached out for information and they responded quickly and informatively, very engaging in the substance of the conversation. Very down to earth crowd here, very much so people friendly and oriented business would not hesitate to recommend anyone check out any of their artists.

I got my ear peirced here. The staff was super friendly. He communicated a lot during the process and afterwards. I felt really comfortable there and I already miss the inside out cats.

My husband and I came in with a basic idea but no real plan to commemorate the birth of our first grandchild. My husband said something Texas and for my grandson, I suggested the state outline, our grandbaby’s name, and a heart over his birthplace. With this info Luigi built the perfect tattoo for us both. I COULD NOT be happier with the result. It’s absolutely perfect 💙

The lady that I talked to was very rude and did acknowledge me when u walked it ,and on top of that she said I have to have a birth certificate to get the piercing even tho I’m 18 with an id.

Highly recommend this place!! We had a tattoo party planned for my kids 18th birthday, days before the party the artist decided to ghost me and disappear with my deposit. I started scrambling and calling shops all over to at least get their tattoo they wanted. Being it was Friday the 13th every shop I talked to didn’t want to make appointments only come wait in line. That was not the case here. They understood my situation and worked us in with minimal waiting. The tattoo looks great and to me what they did meant the world.

Absolutely amazing experience thanks to Jon. He was able to consult the tattoos that my girlfriend and I wanted and get them done ASAP. The tattoos finished up perfectly and we’ll definitely be back for more!

Love the crew at Monsters Ink. From the minute you walk in the door til the minute you leave, you feel the love. I’ve gotten 4 tattoos in the last week and will every single one has been amazing. I’ve had the pleasure of J and Luigi doing my tattoos and the lovely Courtney doing my piercing and the whole crew is just awesome. Definitely worth going if you ever need some art done

Called ahead on a Saturday evening to see if a piercer would be avaliable and if I needed to make an appointment. Was told no appointment was necessary, and to come on in. Before even walking in the door, I was greeted by two different artists. I was immediately handed paperwork to fill out and seated. The piercing went without a hitch, and I was in and out in about 15 minutes. This included the time the artist took to go over aftercare instructions and answer all of my questions! Super friendly staff, super positive vibe all around. I will definitely be back!

We went here today as a late night, on a whim kinda thing and got to meet Luigi. Great guy, good conversation and chill environment. Got a couple of small tattoos with no issues and they came out perfect! Will definitely be working with this shop on finishing my sleeve for sure!

Absolutely wicked cool artists , I instantly felt welcome and relaxed in their shop ! Luigi took amazing care of me on my memorial tattoo of my brother, cool as hell to talk to during the work, i felt like i truly went to the right shop and the artists. I got to talk with monster and his wife, very badass couple sweet and respectful and informative. Asthetic of the shop is also wicked and cozy ! Highly recommend!

My son and I went in to get some piercings done. It was the BEST experience. My son was extremely nervous and they made him so comfortable. The most friendly staff and owner you will ever meet. Courtney pierced me and my mom’s helixes last night. The process was quick, and i have 21 piercings and the two that she did on me were definitely one of the least painful ones i’ve gotten. The staff is welcoming and we overall had a fun time! Highly recommend!

My son decided he needed his first tattoo so we started seeking asking our friends what would be the best place to go. We spent over a year discussing each shop/design and of course who would be the best to give him the tattoo. We narrowed the list down and then went out to visit the shops an speak with the artist. we had heard great things about Monsters Ink and after a quick visit for a belly button piercing decided this is the pace to send our son. From the design of the tattoo, the great and friendly staff and the environment they have created for each guest this is the only place to go. My son had the absolute best experience and came home so excited talking about his experience. He even said he rang a bell for his first tattoo and thought it was great. Luigi!Still my favorite, although the staff is growing and maintaining their quality work. Make an appointment and know that with the increase in popularity and that walk ins for various needs such as piercings and flash art, there can be a bit of a wait. Its worth it. Today, we got matching sister art with pet silhouettes.*********My second piece (Celtic heart/infinity symbol) delivered with care and expertise. I am a late bloomer getting mine late in life but with much celebration for all of it I have been and for all that I will become. Thanks for my beautiful art!

This was, hands down, the best Friday the 13th event Ive attended. The people, the atmosphere, the no-stopping attitude of the staff. I got out at 6 am, and regretted nothing. Made friends, got a tattoo I love, couldnt have asked for a better way to spend my night. If yall think leaving a one star review because of your own ignorance is okay, then I dont respect yall. I was a little nervous when I walked in the Monsters Ink tattoo shop because it had been 20+ years since my first tattoo. I was now looking to get a cover up of my first tattoo but I wanted something really cool but I wasn’t sure what it was yet. I sat down with the artists at Monsters Ink and they were super patient with working on a lot of options trying to help me find what I was looking for. We finally landed on an awesome rendering that looked amazing. I showed up for my appointment and they killed it. The tattoo turned out even better than the rendering. It took 2 sessions to complete the tattoo but I am very happy with how it turned out. I highly recommend giving these folks a shot, I will be going back to get some more work done.

Unwelcoming place. Walked in trying to get a tattoo and no one came up to talk to me and my group and then completely judged the placement I wanted. Would not recommend this place at all, especially because you’re the one coming in paying them to tattoo what you want. Go to Ink injections on 20920 and get your moneys worth.

I can’t recommend this place enough! came in for friday the 13th tattoos and it was packed (as per usual) but i’ve never seen such an efficient and kind friday the 13th staff at a tattoo shop before. the artists went above and beyond by staying past close to make sure everyone got their tattoos. we also got to visit with the sweet shop cats that was just the cherry on top of our amazing night!

Place is a joke. I went in for the small $50 tattoo just off a whim. I walked in and started filling out the paperwork and the guy in the front right said Ill be with you in 30 mins and i said sure no problem. Multiple people started coming in, which is expected. I waited an hour and a half and went back to the same guy and asked which tattoo artist would be helping me. He looked at me right in the eyes and said I didnt even see you walk in. I even told him what he was drawing and tattooing an hour and a half ago. And he said oh sorry its going to be another 2 hours. 😐And to reply to your message below, how do you know what day I went in? I didnt write this review the same night. Good try to cover yourself 👍🏼

Cool crowd. They stayed open late to accomodate me and my wife. Luigi(sp?) And Courtney held it down with good conversation, some laughs and an overall professionalism that was inviting and refreshing. I got a Texas on my neck. Price was competitive, and the awesomeness of the piece far exceeded the cost. Totally recommend this place. Especially if u catch a night that these 2 artists are there. You will leave grinning ear to ear. Just like i did.

A couple months ago I got my right nostril and first holes pierced at this shop. I had a super easy healing process and was super impressed with my piercer. Today I went back and got my left nostril and second holes done by a different member of their staff and had another really great experience. They were super kind and it was a super easy experience overall. Also a great bonus is that the vibes of the place is amazing. The atmosphere is awesome. Also the hairless cats loki and luna are super sweet and were the best emotional support ever for the piercings. I love this place and will definitely be back for more soon.

This place is amazing! Took my ten year old daughter here to have her ears pierced, and everyone was so awesome! They are super professional, sweet and know exactly what they are doing, and are just very cool people. They did a fabulous job. I highly recommend Monsters Ink!

This place is amazing. My tattoo artist was Luigi and he did an amazing job. The environment is nice, not dirty. Went in as a walk-in and they were able to fit me in. They’re super kind and helpful. Overall just an amazing experience.

We showed up for the Friday the 13th flash sale, showed up at 6pm & got our “numbers” at 7pm.We were told we’d get a phone call when it was our turn, then turns out they scrapped that plan hours into us waiting.So unbeknownst to us, we had waited 6 hours, and didnt know we could’ve checked in ahead of time like others.Once we got inside to check in we had to PRE-PAY for the tattoos, yes- PAY before getting them. So we did. We were told maybe 40-50 mins wait time for us, since they were apparently close to our number. ( when talking to others waiting, apparently they never got numbers- or was able to check in before us therefore skipping the apparent number line )We waited almost 2 hours after pre-paying. We ended up just leaving once we realized we wouldn’t have gotten seen till after 4am.If you’re going to plan a huge event and showcase it everywhere; prepare. Very unprofessional event and unfortunate seeing the owners leave before 4am, so we had no one to ask about a refund.Edit: adds onto unprofessionalism with that owner response stating they looked at the camera to “see who I was” and say they called- when I never called, spoke to anyone on the phone, or even got a call 😂

I walked in at 9:58pm and was greeted all went well took my design and and all but unfortunately they left me sitting there for and hour and a half and one of the tattooist incorrectly put Roman numerals and was fired on the spot. Gad I been served Id be happy but I was left sitting and confused if I was even wanted there. I left at 11pm... No tattoo...

This by far is the best place in Texas to get ink done. The owners are amazing to their customers. They treat you like family. They are honest and fair. They only place I will let out permanent ink on me. The artists do one of a kind work. They listen to you and don’t try to talk you out of a design you want. They work with you and help you find best placement. Trust me! You won’t be disappointed.

Unprofessional, unethical and a general bad experience here!Summary - THEY canceled my appointment the DAY BEFORE and still refused to give me any part of a double deposit back. And then treated me poorly and hung up on me.Keep reading for details...Initially, I gave this place 3 stars based on the first interaction I had with them.. but I now have to change it to 1 star.Initial consult was supposed to be with Monster but he pushed me off to someone else for who knows why and didnt even tell me directly.. I thought it was very rude and unprofessional but I wanted to give the other artist a chance. He drew something up, we made a few changes and I put down a large deposit and we made our first appointment. They didnt like my 3 star review and canceled my appointment the day before we were scheduled to start! I told the artist that it was unfortunate but I would come and grab my deposit the next day and they said ok. The shop (manager?) called but I had left my phone at home while out to dinner. The lady left a message and said I understand you have questions and to call her back. I didnt get to my voicemail until after 9pm And I didnt really have questions, so I never called her back. I drove out there to get it but they refused to give it to me. So I left. Several hours later, The shop (manager?) called me and said, Monster could do the tattoo or we could go our separate ways but the deposit was non-refundable. I asked even tho 1. I told them 3 times I didnt want Monster doing it cause he was the one who was rude in the first place. And what difference does that make? 2. I paid double what a normal deposit usually is.. and 3. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO CANCELED THE APPOINTMENT ON ME!? She still refused.I told her I would have to change the review and all she said was Haters will make us famous baby and HUNG UP ON ME! I then text the artist if I could have the sketch since I paid extra onto the deposit but then SHE called me instead and told me to stop harassing her artists! I was shocked to hear this.. I wasnt aware I was banned from texting him ever again or asking about the sketch she never mentioned anything about.Lesson to me - never leave any stars until you are completely done with services for any business. 🙄And for them - just how do you wanna become famous?

I have been wanting to get my daughters names on my arm for a while, then decided to get a silhouette of me and my daughters from my oldest daughters wedding with their names. I was concerned with finding the right place because this tattoo had to be perfect! After researching several places I decided to go check out Monsters tattoo in conroe tx. When I explained to the artist named TRIPP what I wanted he said it would be easy. He started drawing out the picture I showed him. His drawing on paper looked great and my daughter liked it so I trusted him to draw it on me. This is my 4th tattoo and by far the best! TRIPP does outstanding work! He’s very detailed and takes pride in his work! I am very pleased with his work and my wife and daughters absolutely love the way it looks and that means everything to me. I’ve got at least 6 fine line single needle tattoos from Tripps everyone of them have turned out flawless. Been itching for my next one but haven’t been able to find him since he left his last location so when I heard that he was back in the Artist chair I naturally got excited and called up all my girlfriends. Chris and Ashley are stand up people. I travel over 5 hours to have work done. Clean shop, clean lines, but the work is just filthy 🤪. He can take your idea and bring it life. Chris is award winning and those awards arent no participation trophies. Their work isnt just a tattoo its a work of art.
