NEVER GO HERE, I had the tattoo artist named Carey. Worst tattoo Ive ever gotten. It looked like a child drew on me with a sharpie. Never go here. The lines were Shakey and the two sides that were supposed to match were completely different. Worst experience Ive ever had. The tattoo lines were way to think compared to the thing she drew up. I would give this place no stars if I could. If your going to go get a tattoo dont go here.

Needles was meticulous & our tattoos turned out beautifully!! Going back for sibling tattoos!!

The owner was very nice however the certain employee that completed my simple tattoo did not seem clean nor did the result come out good. She seemed very inpatient with my requests for the stencil and it is now bleeding and the lines are awful. I am not one to leave bad reviews but me nor the other two people I went with liked their final results. Not impressed Ms

The store is clean and well lit. Merch on wall displays or in the typical glass cases. Braytons station was clean and organized and ready for my appointment. All the guys at the shop were super friendly and fun to talk to, which makes the experience even better! Brayton was professional, yet friendly, and Im pleased with his work. A+ visit; definitely recommend!

Was not helpful very reluctant to show me cover up work just told me he did a couple and refused to show me other stride work or introduce me to them. I went out as quick as came in

The earring I had in my cartilage lost one of the little balls on the endShe put it back in for me and secured itVery happy as to how helpful they were

Great place, great staff!! They made my son feel comfortable with his ear piercings! Quick and easy! Awesome late Saturday night hours, and a great price to get it all done, with no appointment needed!! This place is two thumbs up, I plan to go back for more, when I can budget in some tattoo therapy for myself!! 😊

Skin mechanix is the best shop ever. You walk in and it’s clean and the artists are friendly and make you feel at home. Everyone jokes around. The artists listen to your ideas and draw up designs to your liking. Troy Nixon did mine and my sisters leg tattoos and it came up great. He definitely asked to make sure we were doing ok. We really love these tattoos. The artists are definitely amazing and most of my tattoos I got from skin mechanix. Will definitely be a return customer.

Skin Mechanix Inc. In Council Bluffs IA is an amazing shop with amazing artists. To name a couple, Troy Nixon and Owner Jose Thornburg. These 2 guys are the absolute best and really care about there work. They will go above and beyond to make sure whatever the client wants fro there tattoo or piercing it will be great. I have 6 tattoos and 4 of them have been done by Skin Mechanix. Never been disappointed with the quality of work as its done right the first time. Taxes are out so come down the Skin Mechanix to get some new ink.

Nefu reworked an old tattoo of mine for a fair price, really chill staff had a good time and was happy with the work.

My husband and I have known Scuba Steve for years! As soon as he was able tattoo, we booked an appointment. We wanted something to mark our 23 years together and our commitment to each other. Who better than a friend that has been there every step of the way.First impressions are everything! The shop is clean, decor is apart from the other shops, the staff is very professional and personal all on one! Had an amazing experience with Steve and everyone there.Looking forward to many more works of body art!

My friend and I were looking to get some tattoos and piercings yet every place we called was booked. We stopped here at Skin Mechanix and Troy immediately got us in for two tattoos each! Mumbles and Troy also took a look at bigger pieces my friend and I wanted and got us scheduled for two weeks later. They are very professional and super upbeat. Also, a huge shout out to Sierra for doing a wonderful job on our Daiths. Every artist here tonight was incredible and super friendly. I definitely will be back and recommend this parlor to everyone I know for ink as well as piercings!!!

Got a tattoo done on my hand by Rob. Amazing artist. Reassured me through everything the staff was amazing even had specials going on for tattoos while I was there. Everyone treats everyone like family and the place is so nice and clean and cool inside. Would highly recommend to anyone to go here. Great people amazing shop and wonderful place all around.

Jose is the absolute worst. Horrible work. Lines that either dont stay or scar. Poor color packing. Not one original drawing. Limited skill and refuses to fix his own work. Has no problem showing up at your place of business to tell you that you cant discuss how unhappy you are with your work. That he will sue your for slander. Hes aggressive, pushy and inappropriate with every female Ive personally seen him interact with.

Jose did awesome job. Was my first tatoo. Very professional and explaining the procedure.

The piercer did great! I barely felt any pain or discomfort getting my eyebrow pierced. Will be coming back for more piercings and tattoos!!

Jerrod is an awesome tattoo artist, the place is inviting. Felt welcome and he was patient with me with all my changes to the design last minute. Jerrod did great work. Manny gave me pointers on a new portrait and will go back to them to get it completed.

Super friendly! Worked with me on what I wanted since I didnt have it sketched out. They made sure it was exactly what I wanted when it came to the design, location, and colors. Joe checked on me several times as well, which was nice. Very pleased, definitely going there again. :)

First pic is 1 hour after line work …..horrible. I was told I didn’t sit still and I wasn’t taken care of so it looks different 🤣Ummmmm I didn’t move. And I pretty sure they look the same. funny how my other tattoos r perfect compared to this 🤣 2nd photo is 1.5 week later getting it redone somewhere else. Do ur research people. I was all excited and don’t go bc u have a gift certificate u won. I have every right to write a review I am told by a lawyer. Thanks👍

I have been with them since the beginning and I have 6 of the 8 from them and I will never go anywhere else, the atmosphere of friendship and how much they welcome you when u are there is beyond compare, if you want a great tattoo definitely go check them out, you will not be sorry!!!

I highly recommend going here & getting a tattoo from Troy. He has good customer service skills, made me & my daughter comfortable. And I am very satisfied with my tattoo.

Where do i begin, there are just so many terrible things about the... quality of this establishments work. No one with an appreciation for their own body would come here. Why? Why would anyone pretend like Skin machanix have any idea how to opperate a tattoo gun? The line work is about as sloppy as it gets.. everyone who gets work done here should be upset. Also all these 5 star reviews to boost the rating are clearly fake.

Place was clean and all the people who worked there was amazing and so friendly. I will definitely go back. I want two more tattoos. And some piercing. Will always recommend Skin Mechanix.

Horrible tattoo. Had a simple all black cross done and no stencil was used to make sure lines were straight and they definitely aren’t.

Monkey did a great job for what I was wanting. Got the job done quickly and did a great job with his art. Highly recommend

Went there for a piercing. Had to wait an hour and a half. But once we got back it was quick and love the results
