I contemplated microblading for 3 years, I finally decided to do it after a friend recommended Amanda at Beneath the Service. I cannot believe how GREAT my brows look now, and most importantly (to me) how natural they appear! Amanda has a true talent and we should all be so lucky to benefit from it! She is absolutely lovely. I cannot recommend her enough. Worth every penny!

In addition to being super skilled, Amanda is a great human. She listens, takes her time, and ensures her clients are happy. I can’t believe how natural my brows look. Although it’s only day one for me, I have no doubt I will have great long term results. Amanda equipped me well and provided great counsel so I can take care of her gorgeous work. Now I have to schedule a treatment for something else so I can go back and see her again!

This was my first time for microblading and I was a little nervous, but Amanda and Roseanne made the experience great. Their professionalism was truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in they took the time to explain the process and answer all my questions which immediately put me at ease. I wrote a review last week but Im not sure if it posted so Im writing another one.WOW, just WOWI couldnt believe how beautiful and natural my eye brows looked after Amanda completed microblading!I went in for a consultation bc I have been on the fence for a couple years on whether to get my eye brows permanently tattooed.Amanda was so informative and understanding on what I wanted done and my concerns.She genuinely loves what she does and she is so great at it!I felt such a connection the first 10 minutes of talking with her.I ended up going thru with microblading that very same day and Im so happy I did!Amanda didnt try to put pressure on me at all bc im sure most of you have had experiences where that happens.She was very patient and took her time with me.I absolutely loved talking to her and her mom!They are both beautiful souls. I really liked how they both are into hollistic approaches when it comes to their work and thier every day lives.I told my dad I was thinking about getting microblading done and he thought it wasnt a good idea but once he saw my eye brows, he was very impressed on how natural they look!My mom loves them and wants to get hers done along with many of my friends! I told them all about Beneath the Surface Skin Studio!I also took my daughter to a birthday party for a friend of school and I wore a hat. This was my second time at Beneath The Surface. I’ve had my brows done and then a touch up 2 years later. I really like this place! My brows held up so well and I honestly didn’t need much of a touch up even after two years. Messaging with Amanda before my appointment was super helpful in figuring out what I needed. 10/10 would recommend.

This was my first time having microblading done on my eyebrows and they turned out amazing! Amanda walked me through the entire process, what to expect, and aftercare. She was very nice and my eyebrows compliment me very well. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Amanda and her team are THE best in the Pittsburgh region. I had microblading done years ago and needed multiple laser removal sessions which were done with Roseanne first. She is an absolute sweetheart and so wonderful to be around. She was so caring and communicative throughout the process of each of my appointments, they went by like a breeze and I genuinely looked forward to my time there. Next Amanda took over and gave me the best brows I could have asked for! She was done much more quickly than my past experience and more importantly, what she does is truly a work of art. I just had my 6 - 8 week touch up Microblading appointment with Amanda yesterday and I am so happy with my brows! Brandi did an amazing job on my eyebrows! Her and Amanda were so nice and welcoming I felt like I was just hanging out with the girls for the afternoon- I had a great time. They both are very knowledgeable and Brandi is very particular about her work and it shows. I did a lot of research on salons and would highly recommend this one. I wish I could give Amanda & Beneath the Surface Skin Studio 10 out of 5 stars (but it only goes to 5). I had work done with another artist previously, and this experience was far superior. I had both laser removal of old brow, and microblading completed and am obsessed with how my brows look. If you’re on the fence, Amanda is your girl!! Do not hesitate to call them with any questions or concerns ahead of time. The work is amazing, and I promise you won’t regret it!

I loved my experience at Beneathe the Surface! Amanda did my micro blading and she was so personable, kind and excellent at what she does! The atmosphere is professional but not sterile at all!!!! She saved my eyebrows! I researched multiple studios and this one was highly recommended and it’s true!!!! If you are hesitant don’t be!!! Received a few sessions of laser removal with Rosanne for my old microblading - great experience and turn out! I have received so many compliments on how natural they look. I am a very frugal person, but this service was well worth the money spent. I went back for my touch-up earlier this week and had the same level of service. I originally had my eyebrows microbladed and shaded by Amanda back in June of 2020. I was absolutely THRILLED with the results and wished I would have done it sooner! Yesterday, I went back for my 9+ month touch up, and once again, I am amazed at what a beautiful job she does! They look so natural, and the shape and color are perfection! Amanda and her crew are all so talented and true professionals. I am so happy with my brows, and in my opinion, it is well worth the investment. Not only does it save me lots of time getting ready in the mornings, but I also get to wake up every day with beautiful brows!

I am so thrilled with my experience at Beneath the Surface Skin Studio! Amanda was absolutely amazing. The studio itself is beautiful, relaxing, clean and comfortable. My eyebrows were a mess, they were very sparse from years of plucking and one was way higher than the other they were a mess!! No more! She took hours with me! They are truly Amazing!! So worth every penny paid. I have my own thick eyebrows back they are perfect and it looks exactly like eyebrow hair!! I was so nervous to get my eyebrows done and to do something so permanent to my face, but I mustered up some courage and got an appointment with Amanda. I can not stop smiling at how amazing they look and feel so blessed to have found someone so talented. They not only are amazing, but she also made the process so relaxing and fun. Leyasa Young is amazing and did a fantastic job on my Eyebrows (microblading). I put it off way to long, but am so very happy with the end result! I have been following Amandas social media for years and I knew that whenever I decided to have my microblading done, I would want Amanda to do it. With their 20% off sale going on now, I finally bit the bullet and had my brows done. Is microblading worth it? YES! Considering the amount of talent and experience Amanda has, theres no going wrong when getting them done. I truly believe she has a magic wand. So incredibly blessed and thankful.

Lila did my powder brows and she is a perfectionist and very sweet. I was nervous since I never had anything like this done and she made the experience very comfortable. She took at least and hour if not more just to map out the shape of my brows which I didn’t mind at all! I didn’t feel like they were rushing me out to get to the next person. I loved that! I still need to get my touch up done and so I’m excited to see the finished product but I highly recommend. They only this I wish I knew was to stop using retinol which would have helped the pigment stick better the first time. However, she was confident that the touch up appointment will fix. Everyone there seemed to love what they do and they worked really well together to get a second pair of eyes on the clients brows. I’ve never been to a beauty place like that where the energy and collaboration between the artists was strong and genuine. Again I would definitely recommend Lila!!!

I did a lot of research on microblading services, and what convinced me to use Amanda at Beneath the Surface was a former client of hers told me how knowledgeable Amanda is about pigment, particularly in terms of good retention over time. It has now been about 6 weeks since I got my eyebrows microbladed, and I couldnt be more thrilled with how they look. The experience was positive, and the vibe in her studio was chatty and friendly. Amanda also provided a card explaining what to expect with my brows for 10 days following, and it was absolutely correct! The post-treatment expectations and care were very clear. I had the good fortune of getting a cancelled appointment at this lovely salon. I am from out of town visiting family and had the pleasure of having Amanda micro blade and soft fill my brows. I can tell you that I am absolutely ecstatic over the results! She designed and carefully outlined a template to follow which showed total professionalism. She took her time and made sure I was happy every step of the way which put me greatly at ease. I loved the fact that she gave me a mirror to check the progress which I loved. I Previously had them done 5 years ago by someone that did not do any of these things and merely just free handed the work. It was totally off the natural hair line plus the products she used did not take properly where I had uncovered blotches in the finished brow, of course I had no Idea what was going on. I give Amanda and her business a 5 star rating and plan to come back during my next visit for more services. You made my day Amanda!

Ive always liked the concept of microblading, but had been hesitant to book an appointment after seeing work from other providers that didnt look natural or realistic. Selina was amazing! I have never done anything like this before and was very nervous, but Selena took all of my nerves away and made it such a fun experience! She was very particular about the shape and made sure everything was perfect before starting. As she was working she went into so much detail about everything that she was doing as she was doing it and was very reassuring. She also gave me in depth instructions on after care and what to avoid. Because I have very light blonde features (eyelashes&eyebrows) I was very nervous of the color being too dark, but it came out perfectly! Just had a powder brow done by Lilia and can’t believe I waited so long to do this before, they look amazing!Owner Amanda Latham was extremely gracious answering all of my annoying questions before I booked, and she clearly knows her stuff. I had micro blading done at a salon in the city in 2017 that had faded after so long between my 2 brows, and she suggested I do several laser removal sessions with them before doing microblading again, but when I told her I was going to be taking professional photo and video for my work in the next several weeks & wanted my brows to look better for this, she offered the powder brow as alternative solution and referred me to Lilia who is her powder brow artist. I love the results! I’m planning to come back again when Lilia is back from overseas to get permanent eyeliner and a lip blush. I’m obsessed.I love that you can book easily online and they offer different pricing for the experience of the stylist (the newer artists are still guided by an expert, but it takes longer, hence the lower pricing). Amanda and her staff are all lovely and talented, and the space is very clean and comfortable. From what I can tell by comparative shopping, their pricing is also very fair. You really don’t need to go anywhere else in or near the Cranberry area for this type of service!

I had been considering microblading for over a year and after tons of research, I booked with Erica based on her reviews and Instagram photos. She did NOT disappoint. My mom, Bridget and I are creating a combined post because we were BOTH blown away by Amanda’s abilities!!!! I went to her a year ago for my first microblading experience and could not believe how perfect my eyebrows turned out. I work in a very large and busy hospital where I am in constant in-person contact with others. Therefore, before I took this leap, I spent a great bit of time searching for the absolute best professional in this line of work. From the very beginning Amanda was exceptional, she was willing to work with my very inconsistent schedule to get me in as soon as possible. She is the kindest, most down-to-earth person I have ever met (which made sitting in the chair for a somewhat lengthy span of time go by extremely quick) she is very enjoyable to talk to and made me feel completely comfortable. She explained every step along the way and was very confident in her abilities (which in return, made me feel confident). She was very thorough in her explanation of pre and post care and even welcomed me to text/call her if I had any other questions or concerns during the healing process. Since then, I have gotten my yearly touch-up and was just as (if not more) amazed as I was the first time! I have gotten countless compliments on her work and have recommended her to several friends and family members (who were interested in getting their brows done as well). My mom went to her just a few months ago after seeing how wonderful mine turned out. Amanda gave her the same incredible and kind treatment, with exceptional results. For years now my brow hair has slowly been disappearing until I only had a few lonely hairs left. A co-worker had her brows done at Beneath the Surface and they looked great, so I made an appointment with Amanda. She did a wonderful job - they are shaped so nice and its the greatest feeling to wake up in the morning and there they are!

I loved my experience with Amanda from start to finish! The procedure was as painless as it could possibly be. The atmosphere was relaxing (she offered a blanket and played wonderful calming music). Though it’s a long process (because Amanda is literally a perfectionist and will spend as much time necessary to make your brows perfect) I did not feel like I was there for as long as I was. I had microblading done (I loved the results!) a year ago and a touch up in April. I decided I would get them touched up every 6 months because I like them a bit darker and 6 months was when they started to lighten up. Amanda suggested a powder brow when I went in last week. She explained that a powder brow would last longer on my skin type, which is oily. The results are fabulous! Love the powder brow! Very natural looking. Amanda knows what she’s doing, for sure!

Amanda did an amazing job with my eyebrows! I could not be happier with the results. I had been considering getting microblading done for a while. But was nervous to pay a lot of money for something that was going to be on my face for a very long time! I have sparse Asian brows and often fill them in and I’m honestly not very good at it and don’t have the patience. I wanted them to look filled but not over dramatic and way thicker and bolder that it completely changed my face. Amanda gave me the PERFECT fill and shape. I cant say enough good things. I was REALLY nervous about getting my brows microbladed and my nerves only escalated once I got in the room, much to my despair. However, Amanda was amazing. She kept me distracted and happy. The studio is very comfortable and feels more like a home than an intimidating studio. The procedure itself was nothing like I was expecting--only uncomfortable at its worst, but pain free for the majority of it. And as for the end result: my brows are incredible!! Naturally I have very straight across brows with patchy spots. My brows are now even, have an arch, and a much more even thickness and fullness, all while still looking natural with my face. I shopped around quite a bit before booking an appointment and I definitely found the best!

Erica took her time, listened to what I was looking for and did an incredible job bringing it to life. Kayla was incredible to work with - from her prompt responses during our online consultation through the entirety of the appointment. She really made my concerns and goals feel heard and delivered 100% on the results. I could not recommend her more for your microblading needs!The studio itself was very easy to find with plenty of parking. The space was bright, clean, and very serene.

If I say I was nervous about microblading... that would be an understatement. I was so worried about the shape, the color, everything. My consultation was great and Amanda worked on shape with me then. She reassured me and prepared me well. A few days later, we made sure they were absolutely perfect before she began. I couldn’t be happier with the process. She even manual shaded the brows in spots that need more of a fill in. I’m just a few days post microblading and everything is going as planned. Right now they look super dark and bold but expected to decrease by 50%. Can’t wait for the finished product and I’ll be back in 5 weeks for my included touch up.

I spent weeks looking for the perfect microblading artist and I definitely found that with Amanda. I have had my new, micro-bladed brows for one month now and I love them! Kayla did a fantastic job. Her results are Instagram-ready. I wanted natural-looking brows that match the roots of my hair and that is exactly what I got. I have had sparse brows my whole life. Now I look at myself in the mirror and I can’t even really tell what is hair and what is not. Such a game changer!A friend told me the micro blading process was really painful, so naturally I was a little nervous. Kayla does three passes across each brow. The first one is done without a numbing agent, which was uncomfortable, but tolerable. The first pass takes about ten minutes per brow. For the second and third pass, she will apply a gel anesthetic. Kayla explained that numbing creams change texture of your skin and you get better pigment retention and the strokes are sharper without it.I will be going back to Kayla for my touch up in a few weeks. I can’t believe I didn’t get this done sooner. Just do it!

I am absolutely humbled to have been chosen by Amanda to be gifted a service through the “Phi Pay With a Smile” program. I have been without eyebrow hair for over 10 years on account of Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia which has had a severe impact on my self esteem. Where to even begin! From the first phone call with Amanda, to the last text thanking her repeatedly, was an amazing experience all around. My schedule was a little bit rough and she fit me in, in 4 days! I was very hesitant with the entire process but she assured me every step of the way I would get exactly what I wanted. And I sure did! Within the four days I was waiting for my appointment, I texted her twice to go over the process with me again and to reassure me it would look natural! She has 3 kids! And responded back to me within minutes! If you are a mom, with more than one child, this most times is impossible! There was one day that I was going to cancel, (shes doesnt know this, now she does) ;) but after speaking with her, I knew, she knew, what she was doing. She was so understanding and so knowledgeable I instantly felt comfortable. Not only does she do an AMAZING job, but she made me feel like I was one of her girlfriends! We chatted about kids, life and everything in between! 5 hours felt like 2! She changed my view on microbladding hands down! I cant wait to see her again for my touch up! On 5/18/20 I scheduled with Beneath The Surface Skin Studio. I was searching places online and found that you could schedule yourself on their website for an appointment! I scheduled myself for that following week. I knew that a lot of places were shut down due to COVID-19, but not knowing all of the services they provided and that they let me schedule online with one of their openings I figured I got lucky and they were open for business. I knew that a 25% non refundable deposit was needed and that if “I” needed to reschedule then I could still use that deposit towards another date/service. I could not go another date and I scheduled for that following week where my schedule allowed me to so I figured I had nothing to worry about. I also got that money taken straight out of my bank account and a confirmation that my appt was accepted by Beneath the Surface. Then an hour later I got a text from an associate at the Studio that “SHE” had to cancel due to COVID-19. I wasn’t shocked, but I figured I could look somewhere else due to the urgent need of my appointment. A week later I was checking my bank account and noticed that I still was not refunded. I knew about their policy, but “I” never rescheduled, they did. I signed the agreement because I did not have to reschedule. I never canceled, they did. Their website said they were open the day I scheduled, I got a confirmation email and they took my money out of my account. HOw can they accept money for a service they had to cancel and knew they could not provide?!?!. When I reached out to Amanda (the owner) she said there is no-exceptions. I argued my point that she rescheduled on me, took my money even though she knew they could not take me that day. How can a business accept money for something they cannot provide? It is not my fault that they did not update their website. This is misleading and stealing. After a couple of weeks of texting with Amanda she said that I could get my refund back if I took down my bad reviews and signed a document. Then a couple of days later she decided to take back her statement after I did what she said. She will not give me my money back even though she is in the wrong. They canceled and rescheduled on me, took my money even though they knew they could not provide the service. This company is very unprofessional and I would not recommend dealing with them.
