I visited while seeing my family that lived close by to get my daughters ears pierced. Unfortunately we were not able to do so since I didnt have her birth certificate since she was underage. I totally understand and the guy who was there was super nice about it. Please do your research if you plan to bring your kiddos here. I had a piercing done a few years ago and they were amazing which is why I brought my 12 year old there to get her ears repierced. As much as they would love to take money for people....they did the right thing and turned us away. I appreciate that they want to ensure that a child coming in with someone they say is theirs will not get pierced until they ensure the childs safety.

Mike is a BEAST! He done two tattoos for me. He has an extremely creative mind. Also, his artistic skill-set is unmatched. When he mocks up the tattoo it will not look very impressive. But the vision he has in his head is amazing. I would label Mike Steffien as an enigma. HE Mad Skills3/31/23 Mike done it again. The details on this last tattoo makes no sense. This man has some serious skills.

I got my first tattoo ever here with Luis (Loui) to honor my dog that just passed. I hate needles and Im grateful to had Luis do my tattoo. Not only it came out perfect , but he showed much empathy and patience. Thanks Luis for all you did and great work.

I love Mystic Piercing. Ben always does my piercings and jewelry changes. He is very gentle and quick with it. He is very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend them to anyone. He and Mona are the best!

Super clean and sterile... i got my industrial piercing last december and Ive had very few problems with it. My piercer, Mona, was super nice and overall very helpful during the healing process. Prices are fair, jewelry is high quality.

Friends and family recommended Mystic to me, and I’m grateful for it. Piercing here was quick and easy, even as a walk-in, and Ben’s chair-side manner is fantastic! Very straightforward and knowledgeable about piercing aftercare, and pricing was pretty good on top of that. My daith piercing was $60 for the piercing itself, the jewelry, and added bonus of being able to return once it’s healed to swap out for jewelry of my choice, but there were other packages and jewelry that ran cheaper. And of course I can’t leave out the complimentary popsicle (yes you can choose what flavor). I’ll be back!

Mike is a true artist and a true professional. The before and after photos of my coverup job speak for themselves. The shop is not overly fancy but the work is top notch and that’s what matters. Very reasonable pricing as well! I highly recommend Mike for anyone looking to get a quality piece that they’ll absolutely love.

Went to purchase some earrings for my piercing, saw them on IG they had a special. Once there I was informed that there wasn’t a special on the earrings, and the piercer was not there to do a service.

UPDATE...03/02/22So I went back to get my nice pierced and lucked out and got Ben again! Per the norm he was quick, efficient and knowledgeable. He even matched my new nose jewelry to my septum jewelry! Ive had my nose pierced twice before and this was by far the best experience, minimal pain and extremely simple aftercare. Im estatic about my piercing!03/03/21Theyre just phenomenal! Had my surface tragus done today and Ben was absolutely awesome. Thorough and efficient, Im in no pain and I love my piercing. Oh and you get a popsicle😍😍😍

My daughter and I took my grandson down to get his ears pierced. What a great experience! I dont remember his name but the guy who did the piercings was great. Very personable, obviously knows his trade well and gave us the pros and cons of gun piercing vs. needle piercing. Although more expensive we went with the needle piercing. It helps that I have had both types of piercings and prefer the needle piercing. He was very specific in explaining after piercing care. We paid for the piercing package where we go back in 12 weeks and the bars will be replaced with titanium studs of his choice. The shop itself offers lots of different types of piercing jewelry. The shop is clean, neat, and sanitary. If you are into piercings I would definitely recommend this shop. They also do tattooing so check them out, you wont be sorry!!

The receptionist is extremely rude. She answered the phone with an attitude, I asked her what was the availability for a piercing she said they were booked today, put me on hold and then hung up.. I called back and another young lady picked up the phone and I heard in the background “ talk to her I’m not doing it today” if you don’t want to work… QUIT!

Horrible time, i come in at 7:00 knowing they close at 8 and they said there piercer wasn’t there. Also i went in on Wednesday thinking they were open because it says on their website but they were closed.

Thank you Jimmy for always being there for your customers, being patient, and willing to properly educate us on home care. I’ve been coming here since I was in Highschool many moons ago and wouldn’t trust any other shop to work on my teenagers! Shout out to Mona for always making my daughter comfortable and confident in her own skin. 🤩

Great place to get a piercing. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They make sure your piercings are healthy and healing well. My only thing is that the jewelry can be pretty expensive if you want something extravagant.

This place has really been disappointing lately. Ive been going to mystics before mystics was in crofton and they ran their business out of their home and doing festivals when I was 16.I love the piercers there Jimmy, Mona, Ben who have been so helpful and nice.However the customer service of the front desk is horrible!! Ive gone here three times in the past couple months to change out or buy jewelry and every time I am met with very poor customer service where they act as if they dont have the time to help me when its maybe 2 or 3 customers in the store waiting to be pierced or they are irritated with the questions I ask. Its really frustrating because I want to support the business and come here because Ive been coming for years but I just can not deal with the two ladies at the front. I hope they fix this situation soon or at least do a little customer service training to these women who are basically the face of their business because Im sure if they have been nasty to me they are nasty to most people coming in.

The best tattoo shop around Mike and Dave are absolutely awesome. Ive had multiple tattoos done here and love them all.

I got angel bites pierced by Ben about three months ago, and today i got a jewelry change after healing them properly. both visits have been absolutely amazing and i have felt so welcome. they do not skip on any safety or health precautions, and i can say from experience now that you will be in very good hands if you decide to visit mystic. they also sell a VERY wide variety of jewelry in a very wide variety of gauges, although if you haven’t been to a piercing/tattoo studio before, keep in mind that you will start out with a plain bar (or whatever the basic and safest jewelry option is for your piercing) for as long as it takes for your particular piercing to heal. overall, i don’t have any reason not to come back here for all of my piercings and i certainly plan to do so! (photos are from day of piercing and day of jewelry change which was today, day of piercing i had my septum ring out and just had a retainer)

My experience at this shop has been disappointing—to say the least. Ronie was initially very friendly and engaging in the beginning UNTIL the point where I asked him to make changes to the drawing that he drew on my hip. I was very specific in sending him the details about how I wanted my tattoo to look (via text, email, and even a powerpoint creation of the lotus dreamcatcher and feather tattoo I wanted). Ronie wanted to draw his own version—which I understood so I allowed him to express his creativity. The marker drawing that he drew on my hip turned out a little different from what I expected (it’s very hard to envision what the final version will look like if you don’t have an eagle eye for it) – in the end —I didn’t perceive how the feather would turn out having large gaps and spaces(first picture)….and clearly in the pics that I sent him I wanted my feather to be bushy and feathery (dainty and feminine--2nd picture))…instead I have what looks like a fishbone. Ronie and I discussed my concerns while I was still on the table and he agreed to make the corrections/additions to the spaces/gaps in 3 weeks after the tattoo healed. I verified that with him SEVERAL times that this would be done at no cost to me—and he agreed with me each time ( I had a witness there with me too)…but to my surprise after several attempts to contact Ronie (again via email and text and actual calls to the shop)—he now would not come to the phone and I learned via the young lady who answered the phone—there would be a $150 charge to me to correct this issue. NEVER once was I told this by Ronie. At the end of the day fair is fair. His attitude was very rude and almost hostile when I asked him to make changes to his drawings. I get that artists want to add their own personal touch—but if I send a specific picture of what I want ON MY BODY—and you decide to add your own creativity—I am allowed to NOT LIKE IT and ask you to change it(especially if the ink gun hasn’t even begun yet). It’s very unprofessional to throw a temper tantrum if I ask you to make changes to a design on paper before it goes on MY BODY FOREVER. I have multiple tattoos and I have never been treated this way by a tattoo artist OR salon EVER….to make matters worse the shop mgr/owner Jimmie rudely cut me off when calling to explain the situation. I guess at the end of the day—customer satisfaction and service is trumped by greed and bitterness. I will never recommend anyone to visit this shop after the way I have been lied to and disregarded- unfortunately! I don’t even want to go back to them at this point—but I will tell the world about my experience there.

Sure a great place very clean and everyone is very friendly. I go see the artist Mike and have been for 15+ years. He does amazing work and would recommend him to anyone that wants a tattoo. I travel over 600 miles from Canada to get my tattoos done by him cuz thats just how great he is.

Brought my daughters in for ear and nose piercing and Mona was wonderful with them. My eldest was extremely nervous about getting her nose ring but Mona made the experience painless as possible and helped ease her fears. Definitely a great place to have any professional work done.

I’m new to the state and was looking for a new piercer. A friend recommended this studio and I think I found a new home! :)) the studio is comfy and the staff are chill. Mona did my nostril and she was an absolute delight! And yes, you do get a popsicle haha! I loved the overall vibe of the studio and I’ll definitely be back!!

The person at the front desk has abysmal customer service. They are the sole reason I will not be coming back. Rushing me through picking a piecing, not welcoming at all, and overall very unpleasant to deal with. The piercers here are wonderful, however when the first person I talk to in the building is rude, it ruins the entire experience for me and other customers as well. I will not be returning.

Ahhh i love this place! it’s very clean and professional, the staff are very nice, and its also affordable. i also like how you get a popsicle after the piercings. i have gotten 6 piercings from here, and they have always been correctly placed and heal relatively quick. i highly recommend this place!

Ben was awesome! My first pierce. Dont get it twisted. It hurts initially. Youll have that one big teardrop. But Ben talked me through and made me laugh. They follow sterilization protocols.

I have gotten about 3 piercings at this shop and Mona is the only person who has done my piercing correctly. The other two piercings both did not heal right and after going to another reputable piercer who I trust, I was told they were placed incorrectly AND the wrong jewelry was put in both piercings causing them to heal terribly and have to be removed. When I called to speak to the manager about the situation to see if someone could look at my piercings, the MANAGER told me “there was no way they could have been done wrong because the were about to have their own television show and why would they put a shop on tv if they couldn’t properly pierce people”. Did not offer to look at either one or anything just gave, as you can see, a incredibly weird and narcissistic response. Not to mention, when I went in for the second piercing, they initially tried to allow a apprentice to do my piercing w/out telling me she was an apprentice. It wasn’t until I was in the room and someone else came in the room with her to “oversee” the process that I realized what was going on. When I asked why would someone need to oversee, because that had never been the case before, that is when I was informed the female was an apprentice and had only pierced two-three people before me. I was not asked if this was okay or anything. So yeah, do not get your piercings here if you can help it. There are plenty of other shops that will treat you better and give you a much better quality experience.

My family and I came in to get piercings and had a wonderful experience. Ben was so knowledgeable and made us all feel at ease. I got my septum, nostril and lobes pierced. It’s healing up pretty great. I definitely will be coming back. Ben your awesome!!! Thanks so much:)

Nice, low-key spot. They were accommodating as I had to reschedule twice but they got me in quick! Ben was great! Very knowledgeable, friendly and takes his craft seriously. He made my daughter feel comfortable and explained every step during the ear piercing, which made me less anxious! LoL she wanted an industrial ear piercing for sweet 16. Overall good experience and would recommend them.

I love Mona! She is very helpful and friendly. She always makes me feel welcome and when my daughter got her first piercing she made sure to make her feel comfortable throughout the entire process!

This is the second time that my daughter bringing my daughter to get both sides of her nose pierced. So far I have no bad experiences and had excellent knowledge helpfully customer services. They made myself and my daughter comfortable. So that should tell you if a mother will allow the trust given to someone else when it comes to having piercing then its a great place to go.

Please get all of your piercings done here! This place was recommended to me by a friend, as she stated this place was clean and the service was great. When I came in, I was welcomed by the young fellow (did not catch his name), he was sweet as pie and had such a gentle voice. I was very nervous, but Mr. BEN lord lol, was very professional and efficient. Ben is the bomb.com! I received a tragus piercing and I love it! Thank you both for providing such a wonderful service.

I got custom work done by Mike and I LOVE IT. The entire process took about 2-3 weeks because he had to draw up what I wanted and it was SO worth it to wait so he could bring my idea to life. Its not my first tattoo but its been about 10 years so I was a bit nervous. Mike took great care, walked me through everything, talked through concept and design until I was comfortable...by the end of the initial consultation my trust was on 1,000 and I had no worries. He is an artist first which makes all the difference and took the time to care about the person getting the art. I highly recommend using him if you go - I know I will! Thanks to everyone and esp Mike. The entire experience was exceptional.

Normally Me & My Boyfriend dont do the whole review thing but WE just had too on this one... Granted the customer service was on point but the PRICING was not.... Now I know its 2023 & prices r high but for two lil 2inch tattoos the price we paid was outrageous & it was extra for shade on mine, then they put my bandage on so fast,... later when I cleaned it, I realized that there was two lines on my Yin symbol that had no black ink @ all... 👎🏻 So for US... The reviews not so good.

This place is great! I brought my daughter in for her first earrings and I was completely impressed. The work was excellent, they helped my daughter feel comfortable, relaxed and welcome. The piercing emergency line is amazing! I love the fact that they offer follow-up help as well. This is a really good place to visit and get some solid work done by folks who know what theyre doing.

The piercing personnel are cool. Always a great experience with Mona! But not so much up front. We waited for nearly two hours (no problem), for my sons standard ear lobe piercing and the front desk personnel (didnt get her name) let the people behind us go first. When I asked her about it, she pretended she couldnt hear or understand me. What? How about you made a mistake - it happens. Dont pretend you dont comprehend. She was nice enough when we left though. Ill take that as a plus.

I love this place ! I ended up going to get a tongue piercing and I was scared to death! But I went to Mona and she talked me through everything she was great! I loved it I would definitely go back to her again she was cool! And the receptionist was a sweetheart! This place gets 5/5 stars.

I decided a while back to get a nose piercing and on a recommendation from a friend, I went to Mystic. Mona was my piercer. She was patient with all my questions and quite professional. I am quite happy with the placement and the quality of jewelry I purchased. Getting piercings can be risky business if you’re not careful, but Mystic is a clean, well-lit place that provides excellent service and it’s clear that they know what they’re talking about. They also make it clear that if there are any issues with healing they are there to help. Consistent aftercare is crucial for a piercing to be successful and they make sure you understand what that means and know how to get the supplies you need. Mystic is definitely a great choice if a new piercing is on the horizon for you. Oh and when you’re done getting pierced you get an ice pop which is adorable.Update: 4 years later I went back so my partner could get their ears pierced! Mona’s still an MVP. Mystic is the place to be!

Came here on October 20 for my 18th birthday and got my belly button pierced. Definitely had a great experience. Ben made the experience enjoyable for me along with joking with my mom. Definitely the best place I’ve gotten a piercing.

Ive had 5 tattoos and a few piercings done here. Every time, everyone was very professional. Its a very clean shop, and reasonably priced, especially for the area. Phil did a walk in for me, and Mike spent a long time designing the perfect art for another one. He also gave me a free touch up as well. I heard about this place from a friend who never goes anywhere else, and as long as I live in Maryland I wont either.

Mona has done 4 of my piercings over the years. Ive also gotten 3 more done at Mystic but ages ago. Overall, Mona gets 5 stars. If I could give her more than 5, I would!The shop itself is so-so with so-so customer service to the point where I shed a star. But, back to Mona because having a great piercer is of highest importance.Mona is not only easy-going and professional, but a wealth of information before and during the process as well as with aftercare. She makes herself accessible and has answered many a question for me, even when Ive contacted her before or after a piercing. Personally, I appreciate this extra level of assurance and its not something you can find at every shop. I have even brought multiple friends to her for work.I would recommend Mystic if you can get past the front counter. Just ask for Mona! Plus, shell give you an ice pop afterwards!

When I lived in MD I got all my tattoos and piercings from here. Never had infection. Flick was amazing.I dont think he works here anymore though. They have pretty good prices too. The tattoo shop in Annapolis mall is overpriced. So is orange. Dont go there. Make sure you make an appt though so they have time to trace out the design. I wouldnt get a tattoo from anywhere else. Mike did one of my other tattoo and hes really talented. Mona and Ben usually did my piercings. If anyone has anything bad to say about this place, its probably because they didnt follow proper cleaning instructions.

I got my tragus and my naval pierced by Ben, who right off the bat was very nice and humorous.During the piercing i blacked out and Ben took exceptionally good care of me, and made sure not to do anything until i was fully conscious. He handles my family and i very well. i will be returning in a few months for a forward helix. Ben and Mona are very good at what they do. I highly recommend!

I came in right at 9:30pm to get a ring after my piercing fell out during vacation. I had the pleasure of having Ben help me. Even though it was almost closing I didn’t feel rushed I told him what I wanted and he did a great job getting my hoop in with no pain. Very helpful, very friendly and a great sense of humor when I said I left my wallet in the car (I really did though.) Where do I begin.....First if I could give this place more than five stars I would, me and my fiance went here and we seen Mona she is EXCELLENT she handled us professionally and actually listened and talked us through our concerns. This establishment is clean and very professional and absolutely knows what they are doing the owner is also a class act and was in the military which makes him even more bada** I will be going here from now on and will travel any distance to have the experience I received from here! Initially brought my kid here to change out some jewelry, ended up booking an appointment for her to get another piercing. We were running behind a few minutes with the weather that day, staff still brought us in, and kept the business running smoothly. The piercer was nice and polite, clean, and laughed at all my corny jokes! Lol until I got hit with the mom im trying to work here. All in all a great experience and we will be back. They have a ton of jewelry for any piercing you can think of as well.

Ben did an amazing job on my nose piercing.He was very professional and communicated every important detail to me effectively. I firmly recommend coming to Mystic Piercing and asking for Ben. I was literally in and out within 5 minutes of being seen. Prices are extremely affordable.

I initially came to mystic for my belly button piercing in may, mona was incredibly nice and was really great with the piercing job. however, i came in today to get my jewelry looked at and some dude came in to check on it and was incredibly rude. i had a minor infection, despite cleaning it regularly— i’ve had 10 other piercings and this was the only one to give me trouble. the guy was incredibly condescending when it came to checking on my piercing, and hadn’t considered it possibly being a bad reaction to the particular jewelry or anything. all in all, while the piercing experience itself was quite pleasant, whoever that guy was kinda sucked. he spoke over me, acted completely dismissive, and i felt genuinely belittled by the way i was spoken to. i wish i caught his name, but i don’t think it was ben or jimi.

Love that they do walk ins no appointment needed, very small wait, and Catrina was very knowledgeable. Walked me thru everything step by step and explained everything so extensively that I had a total understanding of everything no questions. Overall awesome experience, awesome piercing def will be back for Catrina to put more holes in me! =)

Nice folks but I dont have faith in their practices or judgment. Of my 18 piercings the only three that have given me trouble are the ones I got done there. My most recent (and last) disappointment there was a rook piercing. An incredibly short barbell earring was placed and extremely painful. One morning attempting to clean it the jewel separated from the post due to the swelling. Frantic, I called the 24 hour care line and needless to say, no one picked up. 12 hours after the fact, I got a text response which was useless at that point.As a result, I had to try and sanitize piercing jewelry I already owned to replace the original earring as to keep it from closing and not to have wasted $65. A longer post was put in and was well until a few days later I noticed the beginnings of an abscess. I made my way back to shop for a third time. After going in for consultation I was given controversial advice on healing the issue and things got significantly worse. Thank you so much for disfiguring me and me paying you to do it. Never again.

The staff is always open to questions and have a great energy when you come in. Your health is their priority and piercings are pretty in and out.Hope this helps!

Honest to God this was the worst tattoo customer service I have ever experienced. My friend and I both came in on Sunday as soon as they opened to show the front desk and the artist our matching tattoo that we wanted and were told by BOTH people that they could fit us in at 5pm. They took down our names and phone numbers and said they would call us when we should come back. Fast forward to 4:00 when I receive a call to come back because they have an additional artist who is able to tattoo us. I drive 30 minutes again, to only be greeted by an unbelievably rude artist completely unwilling to work on us and a flippant receptionist who said “oh I guess I should have looked at your tattoo before calling you back,” as if we hadn’t already come in and personally showed them our tattoos hours before. Also missing in this unorganized and unprofessional experience was the original artist who earlier claimed he would stay late to tattoo us that day. In the end my friend and I were left with a waste of gas, waste of time, rude customer service, and no tattoos. Horrible tattoo parlor. Will never recommend anyone to go there. Wish I could give a zero-star review.

Piercing my nose was easy and relatively painless. Mona was very nice and professional. A little bit of wait time beforehand, but the actual piercing process was very quick. Would go back again.

I got 4 gorgeous stars on my back today. James was my tattoo artist and he was awesome!! His work is very clean and thorough and I appreciated him making sure I was ok with the placement of the tattoo before he got started and made sure I was comfortable during the whole process. My sister was with me and she got a butterfly from Phil at the same time, who drew it free hand first!! Very talented guys and I would recommend either one of them to my friends.

I went to Mystic Piercing to get a nose piercing and Ben was my piercer. He hit a nerve in my nose which caused pain in my front tooth and extreme bleeding. Ben was rude and unprofessional. He did not put my piercing in the correct place and he got into a conflict with my husband who was trying to clean the blood off of me. I WILL NEVER AGAIN GO THERE.

Got keloids from nose piercing here.. shop is dark and spooky looking. Will not go here or recommend to pierce nose here. Was notclear on how to post care. No go!

Ive been coming here since 2015. I didnt visit 2016 but I have visited every year . One of my good girlfriends introduced me to Mystic Piercing. Ben was my 1st piercer then Mona & Katrina, Dean & Ben recently did my last 2 piercings{left & right 2nd conch} along with my BFFs daith. I love it here.. its clean and professional and always so much fun when I visit.. All my ear piercings have been done by Mystic.

Mike is incredible! So professional, courteous, and communicative. He is extraordinarily talented. I will finally be getting the tattoo that I have wanted for so long. Thank you Mike for just being your amazing self!

My piercer Ben was awesome he can have my business any day but the customer service from the other folks could have been better . I went to get my rings changed I got no help with recommendations first of all second I stood and waited almost 45 minutes just to get my ring changed never again will I come here because now im going to change it myself they didnt seem to care about me as much as the girl getting three things pierced . Be very careful when coming here for tattoos. I have had amazing artists work with me in the past, but my visit on Monday Feb 11th was with Dave Natale whom I had not worked with before and it was awful. He was totally unprofessional.I went to the shop 2 weeks in advance to make my appointment. He looked at the picture I showed him, gave me a quote and got my appointment time set up. When I came in for my appointment however, he didnt remember speaking to me or that we had an appointment. He had not done any sketches or prep work for the tattoo at all. He in fact had me email the image I showed him, and then took about 3 minutes to create the stencil. That should have been my first sign to walk away from my deposit, but I went forward with it anyways.The tattoo is missing a lot of details that were included in the original image, the line work is bad and is blown out. The middle of the design isnt symmetrical like it should be. Its a mess.I take full responsibility for allowing this to be inked onto my body, but the artistic integrity is nonexistent and Dave should have put forth a lot more effort than he did. As an artist you should take every piece you do seriously and it was very obvious that he didnt care.I am already working with a different tattoo shop and artist on a coverup.

I had my first piercing here when I was 16 back in 2001. I’ve had just about everything pierced and re-pierced over the past several years. Although they’ve had change in piercers since the days where it was cash only, Mona is an awesome professional to work with.

Great tattoo from the artist and was very helpful, patient, and open with conversation. As a business, the poor facilities, drug paraphernalia and hung over/annoyed front desk employee lost you 2 stars. If you want to be a company known for great tattoos and piercings, do that. If you want to be a company known for selling pipes bowls and bongs, in a lack luster facility with metal tin fold up chairs, do that. Overall, this company does both. Just expect the basics and I’d recommend. Anything more, I’d recommend another parlor.

I came here with just an idea for a first tattoo, John sat down and came up with a fantastic design. I went ahead and had it done right then, John made the experience very easy and explained everything and I love the new tattoo. I will definitely be returning to have more work done and cant recommend them enough.

Phil did 2 tattoos this past Friday for me! He was very nice, funny, professional, & he has very light hand. I got one on the top of my foot and the pain was nothing like people described! I will definitely recommend him & I will return! Thanks Phil!😊😊

Just got my nose pierced here a few days ago and had a great experience. No wait and it literally took 5 minutes. It was clear the piercer knew what he was doing and made the experience quick and almost painless. Will for sure be returning in the future.

I got my second piercing (first navel, second daith) at mystic today and the staff has been equally kind, considerate, and quick both times. I couldnt be happier with the process and the result; the aftercare is very clearly explained and I anticipate no problems. I will definitely be going back in the future!

The front desk person was not helpful at all when I came in and was very rude. It was close to closing time (about 20) mins and I explained to him I needed someone to look at my piercing because I was pretty sure it was infected. He turned me away saying the piercer was only open for his friend to get something done. Not good costumer service, go to Red Octopus its wayyyyy better

Quick service. Clean atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and professional. Catrina gave lots of good information and was very knowledgeable about her field of work. The only negative is that the place smelled like an old ash tray.

I went here for a nose piercing and really enjoyed interacting with the staff. Everyone is very knowledgeable, friendly and funny as hell. Even though its about 40 mins from my house, I dont mind the distance. They also have decent pricing and special deals for certain products which is really helpful.

Ben is so awesome. He was extremely patient with me getting my first real piercing. He talked and made jokes so I would be calmer. I felt completely comfortable and plan to go back to get more.

My sisters and I went on Saturday to get our first tattoos, and needless to say, we were terrified! James was our artist and made things very comfortable for us. We were all about to be together in the same room so we could cheer each other on! James had a very light hand and was quick. If I ever decide to get another tattoo, I will be going back to Mysitc and James.

This is the only place I go to get pierced. The staff is always friendly and extremely thorough with information. They make sure youre comfortable and knowledgeable. I have gotten 7 piercings from there and more to come.. Cant wait...

I wish I could give this shop 46000 stars because its by far the best shop Ive ever been to. I have 11 piercings and got only 1 done here but I know where Im going for the rest of them. Jimi and the crew are so kind and make the experience so warm! Nothing but love for this place.

Mike is an amazing artist he did a tattoo on my sons arm and it was incredible!!! Ten times nicer than the design we brought in he made the design better. Very impressed with his work.

Had wonderful service during my first visit in September, however, during my second visit to get my nose ring switched I was rushed out of the store with a ring that didnt even fit because the girl had to go see other customers. Absolutely terrible. They are able to wait just like me. Never going back. So sad one person can ruin it.

I went here to get a tattoo of a cross with a bird on it in memory of my mother in law, who recently passed away. I had never gotten a tattoo before, but it was a great experience! Phil is the tattoo artist who did it, and it looks awesome! I will definitely be back, and my wife already has him drawing up her next tattoo!

I went to Mystics to get my nose pierced. I heard about it from some friends of a friend of mine who had gotten their nose piercings done there. So I went & my piercer I believe her name was Sarah was really nice & funny & did a really good job. Everybody I know who has their nose pierced said it hurt but I dont recall any pain getting mine done and it was over so fast. Sarah did a really good job explaining all the dos & donts & how to clean it, and gave me a paper with directions & Jimi (the owners) number on it if I had a questions or concerns, but Im fine. Ive had my piercing for almost 10 months & I love it. I had no problems. Ill be back eventually for my belly button & a tattoo or two :))

I got my navel stretched. I also got a daith. Mona was very knowledgeable of piercing. The owner even was talking to us. You get a popsicle after your piercing. Wonderful customer service.

I think my tattoo was a bit over priced. QUITE A BIT!! Still need to go back for color and already paid too much. Bought a vape pen had to take it back. They exchanged it for me which was nice of them but I really dont want to go back to have my tattoo completed(colored). But not sure how someone will feel about completing another artists work!! I started to go to Red Octopus....but gave these folks a try instead. I inquired as to adding a small detail to my tattoo when I was to return for the color, I was told that would be an additional cost@! Wth!! Im just not happy... UGH!!!

Went before to get my tongue pierced and received great customer service, friendlyand welcoming staff who were also knowledgeable.Went back for my septum tonight (super empty) and everything was totally different. Barely greeted before stepping up to an empty front desk and the staff sat around for a second before asking if I was getting a piercing. After I signed the waiver I wasnt given any information about who the piercer was or how long of a wait it would be. The staff continued to play around walking in and out of the shop while I sat around watching tv, waiting for any news about the procedure. Nothing comes so I left. About thirty minutes later I receive a phone call from the piercer asking me if I was scared lol. She said that she was in the back eating her dinner and not even 15 minutes had went by, even though I waited around 10 before leaving. I told her that I wasnt given any information regarding wait times or piercer status.Had I know beforehand that she was on break or eating I would have waited with no problem. But idk if Ill go back now .

Ben was soooo great and pleasant with my VCH Piercing! I went alone (no support team) but he was really efficient, informational and most of all quick.I wasnt really scared; more nervous than anything. But Ben was very calming and although I did tense up, it was over with fast. A quick, hard pinch and done.The venue is currently under renovation but no problem...of course the utensils were new and the room area was very clean.My total was $85.00. (I got a special package; usually the price is around $60.00 for a VCH).Highly recommend and I love the popsicle they gave me after the procedure, lol! [April 2014]

Getting a genital or nipple piercing? Read on.First time: Came in for a VCH piercing performed by a piercer who is no longer there. Elayne Angel has a post on a botched VCH that I found during my research, but I failed to notice it was this exact shop. I was pierced at a 18g and with a captive hoop, when standard practice calls for a 10/12g and a curved barbell. It needed to be removed a week later due to infection. The piercer who removed it informed the gauge was too thin to withstand adult activities (would have ripped right out) AND the placement was too shallow, which would have resulted in migration. COST:$80.Second time: I returned because so many people had gone here without issue since my experience, and that piercer no longer worked there. Decided to shove needles through the girls. The piercings went super quick. Fast forward a bit and I began having migration issues due to the jewelry style used, which is the only style offered for the initial nipple piercings. While they can be healed with hoops, it takes longer because of the constant flipping and excessive rotation. It can also places undue pressure on the fistula, and the combo resulted in prolonged discomfort. I caught it early enough to save them, and as soon as they were changed it felt much better and sped up the healing process. COST:$30 for new jewelry, and $20 out of the window for their jewelry change offer.TL;DR/BOTTOM LINE: For genital piercings go to a place that uses updated piercing standards and proper jewelry for your specific piercing. And PLEASE do not clean your piercings with DIAL and do not use OINTMENTS on piercings. H20cean makes a great sea salt spray if you dont feel like making your own Soak.

Got my first piercing ever here, it was lower lip. Got my double eye brow, mymicro dermal mandubula, my septum, my ears and cartlige all done here. Props to Mona and the owner for doing most of the work on me!

Well anyway, the title of my thread says it all. Last month I decided to travel down to Crofton to Mystics like I used to always do to get my orbital don through my conch. Anyway, needless to say I ended up leaving with much more... Chris was the one who decided it was a good idea to instead of piercing me through my conch to give me the orbital that I had asked for, to instead give me a piercing that was the most excruciatingly painful experience of my life. He basically just fed me a bunch of lies, telling me that the pain that I was feeling was normal, and he continued to try and force this ring through my ear, and ended the whole experience by clamping on the most ridiculously large bead on to I guess hide the fact that he had screwed up. Anyway, I went down to Body Mod today down at the Annapolis Mall to get my double helixs pierced, and when Liz took a look at my orbital, she noticed that it was way too tight, and was basically gripping itself into my ear. So, she recommended that I get the ring out, and put 2 barbels in there and let it heal until I was ready to put the ring back through it. When she unclamped the obscenely large bead off the ring, her mouth literally hit the floor and couldnt believe what she just saw. She was literally looking at a hole that was going through the back of my ear, and into my head! Anyway, to make a long story short, she had to pull the ring through the other side, because the one through my head was just way too painful for me to comprehend. All in all I started off with Mystics, and I used to enjoy their work, but now after what I just experienced I have to sit back and wonder how and why someone would do this to another human being? Just to make another buck in a terrible economy? Or just to try and prove to the piercing world that an unhealable piercing could work to further along his own career. Anyway, after what I just experienced I paid 70 dollars for an orbital CONCH piercing, not a side of the head piercing. So, they just lost a very valuable customer, who definitely wont be going back there. Instead, Ill just go to Body Mod at the Annapolis Mall where the piercers actually still care about what products they put out. I forewarn all of you who decide to go to Mystics, that it maybe an affordable place, but is it truly worth risking your body to get the piercing that you think that youre getting? Because you might just leave there getting much more than you ask for. A night in the hospital, or worse...

First off I live 50 minutes away, called to see if they can do a walk in and they said that they could. I then drove all the way there at the time I said I would be there and no one in the shop knew what I was talking about and was then told they don’t have time for me. 2 hours of my night wasted driving for nothing.
