Tainted Skin & Who Dun It Piercing Salon

Got my cartilage pierced by the owner a couple of weeks ago. Came in one day to see if they took walk-ins but they were all booked up, so I made an apt. Super smooth process. Owner was a cool guy and ran through the process quickly but also made sure I understood what he was telling me. He took the time to help me pick out a better piece of jewelry for another piercing that I have. Ill definitely be coming back to see how the tattoo side of the shop is!

My fiance and I both got piercings here by Colt! He was so sweet and very informative. Very clean and professional. Fast service and reasonable pricing. Colt was so caring and seemed like a really genuine guy. 100% would go here again!

Had 2 tats done when they had the original place by jewel, very clean, great service. Went to the new location to get a tattoo with my son. Very rushed. Went back a month later for the free touch-up to make sure it looks good. Sorry, artist is gone. Can someone touch it up quickly? No. My artists cant touch up someone elses work. What? Its letters, not some detailed artistry..... janky. Wont be going back.

I highly recommend this place for piercings. I brought my 6 month old baby to get her ears pierced and the experience from start to finish was amazing. Jon explained everything perfectly from prep to piercing to aftercare. The place is very clean and professional.

For anyone who goes in, I dont think this place is very ethical as I had seen on their Facebook page of a baby that got pierced at their studio. Now its probably a hot take, given most children get their ears pierced at Claires and that is just wrong. Its better to get done professionally than getting a jewelry punched into your ear. But bottom line is it is EXTREMELY unethical when piercers (people who consider themselves as Professional Piercers) pierce babies when babies cannot even consent!. It is known in the tattoo, piercing, body modification community that children cannot consent, let alone a baby cant consent.

I definitely found my favorite place to go to get my tattoos! Matt absolutely kills it every time!! Great line work beautiful shading and I get nothing but compliments on the work hes done for me! This place has such a great environment and I cant imagine going anywhere else😁😁

Had to get my dermal removed for my job, Called in around 1:00 they got me in the same day around 3. John is very professional and informative about the process and what aftercare is needed, definitely will be back.

I love this shop so much, if there is one shop that carefully selects artists and trains apprentices to consistently create amazing artwork and translate it onto skin it’s Tainted Skin. I’ve gotten tattoos from Kaitlyn, Matt, and Lily and couldn’t be happier. Kaitlyn has extreme attention to detail and proportions, Matt’s bold line work is impeccable, and the way Lily shades her tattoos brings every piece to light. The atmosphere is phenomenal and when you’re in the studio it feels like you’re just hanging out with friends. Everyone is so kind, welcoming, and professional. Furthermore the prices are extremely reasonable for the high quality of work and most of the artists will work within your budget to get you something that you truly love. 5/5 stars

This is the second tattoo I’ve gotten done by Matt and I would highly recommend. The atmosphere is amazing, everyone is kind, and to top it off Matt is not only talented but fun to talk to. Call and request a tattoo from him, you won’t regret it.

I got my conch done by John, he is very professional. Ive gotten lots of piercings done from other artist and I will never go anywhere else. John makes you feel calm and easy about the whole process. 10/10 would highly recommend

I can’t begin to say enough great things about Jon. Aside from being a super nice and friendly guy, he is incredibly knowledgeable. He answered my questions and gave me thorough instructions on how to properly care for my daughters’ piercings. He also told us how we could reach him if we had questions/concerns after our appointment, which I really appreciated. He’s obviously done this for a long time, and his experience and professionalism made me feel confident in choosing him to pierce my children’s ears. I would recommend him 100 times over. And if I ever work up the nerve to get my nose pierced, I know who I’ll be going to see!

Brought my daughter here to get a piercing. Luna did such a great job with her and myself. She went above and beyond with a question/situation I had. She walked my daughter through every step, went through jewelry with her, explained she will need to down size the post after a while, went through every step of after care (even updated her on old piercings) and took care of an issue we had from somewhere else. Highly recommended from me

Ryan did such an amazing job on my tattoo... I showed him a picture of a Mario Brothers tattoo that was kind of the idea I was going for... I told him the only things that I needed changed was I wanted Luigi instead of Mario and that I wanted a red mushroom instead of the green one that was in the picture... I told him as far as everything else it was completely up to him he had free rein to do whatever he wanted with it... I couldnt be anymore impressed with what he came up with!!! The 1st picture(Mario) is what I showed him... The 2nd picture(Luigi) is by far one of my most favorite tattoos that I have and it always will be!!!

I took my 13 year old son for his first set of piercings here. Everyone was super nice, welcoming, and professional. Jon, the owner, took his time in explaining the whole process to both myself and my son and made it an enjoyable experience for us. Id definitely recommend! Im sure my son will be back in the future for more lol. Thanks, guys!

Me and my sister in law went and got our noses pierced and Luna was amazing. Very friendly and the piercing barely hurt. Will definitely recommend her to friends. Great atmosphere as well.

The employees were great. Super friendly and answered all my questions. The only 2 negatives were that I almost bit the dust going to the door when I tripped on the cracked cement. And I havent been able to reach them via the email provided on the website or get a response from Luna, who did my piercing. I have had a lot of problems with my nose piercing stabbing the inside of my nostril, causing bleeding and pain, and was trying to get guidance on what to do. So I will be just going in to ask.

Matt was just wonderful. I asked for suggestions on a tattoo I was wanting. He came up with a tattoo of exactly what I was looking for. I love it . Everyone at Tainted Skin was very friendly and the place was very welcoming and very clean

Jon is the absolute best! I got my nose pierced here a little bit ago. Its healing so so well! I had my nose pierced before somewhere else and it didnt heal correctly and kept getting infected. My nose had not got infected once since Jon has done it. His attitude is amazing too. Such an outgoing and kind guy. Hes super informative and told me exactly how to take care of my piercing. Jon made this experience for me comfortable. He even held a tissue on my nose for a minute after it was done because I was bleeding and I was in some pain. Im going back here for another piercing and I will definitely recommend him to all my friends. Thanks!

My daughter had her belly pierced by Jon. It looks great and healed wonderfully. When she was ready to switch out the jewelry - he was very helpful in helping her find a piece that fit her style and personality. Always very polite and professional.I myself just had another tattoo done just a few months ago in honor of surviving breast cancer. My piece is BEAUTIFUL and I get many compliments on it.

First time customer…Was able to get a last minute appointment with Matt today for my tattoo. Wanted to have something added to a current tattoo and he did an amazing job!! Exactly what I wanted! He even corrected my previous tattoo to make it look even better! Very pleased! Will be back!

I went and got my nose pierced. I did this a few years ago at another location and then took the ring out. Well, I changed my mind and wanted it again. Luna was incredible!!! She talked me through it and explained everything. It was quick, easy, smooth. The other location did not do this. I felt like an inconvenience. Luna did NOT make me feel like an inconvenience. You can tell she likes and is good and what she does. She is phenomenal. Even opens up and shares a little about her to make you focus on other things.

Made an appointment for a piercing then had to reschedule. They were very understanding. The day of my appointment everyone was super helpful and welcoming. I had my nose pierced and Jon was awesome told me what expect and it went exactly the way he said. He also repierced my cartilage piercing. Everything was great. The whole experience rocked. Would recommend to anyone. And definitely am going back myself for more!!

Went for a walk-in on Wednesday for a nose piercing. Luna did a fantastic job!! I honestly didnt feel a thing. She talked through the whole thing, which made me feel more comfortable/less anxious. Definitely recommend seeing her!

I had their piercer Jon do two of my piercings, a tongue piercing and a high nostril piercing. Used good quality jewelry, everything was very clean, and my piercings have healed/are healing very well. Really impressed with how great the service is here. Definitely going back to Jon soon!

I decided to have a tattoo done in honor of my Swedish heritage. I went in wanting one thing and after speaking with Luke decided on something completely different. He is very in to and knowledgeable about the history of tattooing as well as Swedish folk art. He drew my tattoo design and chose the colors and I couldnt love it more. It is so beautiful! Luke is a true artist. He is really laid back and super nice, so if youre nervous about getting a tattoo, hes the guy for you. The shop is very clean and they follow all safety precautions. All in all a great shop and experience.Edit: Sadly Luke moved to Indianapolis. If youre looking for him at Tainted Skin hes not there.

My experience was absolutely AMAZING!!! 1st off, the Vibe in the shop is Great!!! Everyone is very welcoming and layed back. Cleanliness was EXCEPTIONAL throughout all areas!!I initially came in for a Daith piercing. I was nervous and had a bunch of questions. Tess was not only knowledgeable and professional, she was kind and compassionate as well. She gave me great tips and aftercare instructions and also made me feel like I could come back at anytime for further advise. She was AWESOME!!!While I was waiting, I spoke with Nick about a tattoo I wanted done with my hubs. Nick was receptive, energetic and completely engaged in the process. He even made himself available to draw up what we wanted and committed to doing the work this same evening!!!When I returned with my Hubs in tow, we also met the Amazing Angie! Nick did our drawing of what we wanted and did my Hubs tattoo while Angie did mine Angie was great!! She was inviting and really out going!! The quality of the work on both pieces exceeded our expectations!! 2 different artists for the same piece, yet just enough difference for it to work!!We cant say Thank you enough for our AMAZING experience!!! We will definitely be back and will be telling everyone how great you all are!!!!Thank you Again!!!

I have been here for my daith and nose piercing. My sisters have come for other piercings and I cannot express enough how amazing they are here. They generally care about their clients and the piercings they do, theyre not just trying to make a quick dollar. I will never go any where else for any piercings!

If I could rate higher I would. They pierced my daughters ears for her and it was wonderful they talked her through it and put her really at ease. They made sure we both knew proper after care also.

I had Ryan and he made sure the tattoo I wanted was sized right, in the exact spot, and the handwriting was on point. Very clean and really nice people. Also a very good price!! I’ve already recommended them to my family and I’ll recommend them to all my friends:)

I drove over an hour to get my brother’s first tattoo and gave him a rough idea of what he wanted. Nick drew up a beautiful tattoo!!! He even touched up one of my current tattoos while I was there! I will never go back to any of my local shops! Worth the drive and the money! Thank you Nick!

Very unprofessional, poor customer service. I walk in, the person at the front desk says its best to call and make an appointment...I call to make an appointment and she says best stop in and youll need to make a DEPOSIT for an appointment. The artists work looks average, but I pick the place because of location...close to home. Could not get an appointment made and grateful that I didnt waste anymore time, especially reading some of the other reviews about their finished work. I saved up $2K for my new art and gladly will provide to different shop/artist.

I would never do a walk-in appointment at this place. They do not seem to care about you or what you want done. I went in and it wasnt busy but I wasnt helped for a good 45 minutes. Once I was helped the artist couldnt even listen to me without having a side conversation with someone else. He did not care about what I wanted and had to draw it about 9 different times. It still didnt come out right and now its blending together because he did the lines way too close to one another. I will never go here for another tattoo and I definitely will not be recommending it to anyone. Hopefully I can get my tattoo fixed because it means a lot to me. I cant believe I even was nice enough to give that guy a big tip! HORRIBLE!

I just got my tattoo done by Alan today and I LOVE it! He is such a friendly guy and his artwork is amazing. I got a simple tattoo and wanred a specific font to go with the saying. However, he gave me some great advice and showed why that font wouldnt look to great in the future. Alan helped get the finishing touches for it and helped me pick a good shade of red. Again, I am extremely satisfied!! Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and knowledgeable. Tainted skin has such a great atmosphere and I will be coming back for more when im in town again! I would highly suggest getting an appointment. I was a walk in and was very lucky to get mine done. It got busy fast, but in the future I will be making appointments.

I have always heard amazing things about Tainted Skin. I went in yesterday to get a tattoo, my 3rd. I was a bit skidish because my 2nd tatoo, from somewhere else, didnt go as planned to put it nicely. I walked in when they opened without an appointment. They fit me in as soon as they could. I told my artist Nick about my concerns. He was calm and patient with me. He teased me a bit to lighten the mood. He did amazing. He made me feel more at ease about the tattoo and it looks great! I highly reccomend Tainted! And I HIGHLY recommend Nick! Thank you!

I go for the piercings mainly, but they do such a good job, I love all 16 piercings I have recieved from them. They heal fast and have never gotten infected! I highly recommend going here for all your piercing needs including jewelry replacement, care education, and of course, a quality piercing. Ive gotten double and triple lobes, tragus, conch, cartilage, industrial, triple helix, belly button and nose; I love all of them and they always look great.

Really not the best experience Ive had . They talked about how busy they were when the place was dead then brought the kid from down the street to even give us our tattoos when they already had two other guys there not doing anything . Then when we were done the guy almost forgot to even wrap our tattoos and didn’t give us any instructions except take the wrap off in an hour. Tat looks good

Absolutely the best place for tattoos and piercings as well. My daughter, husband and I have all got beautiful work done(tattoos) and both my daughter and I had our noses pierced as well. My daughter just went in for an industrial piercing, AMAZING!! Will only use Tainted Skin from now on!😊

The counter lady & the piercer are nice & professional when speaking directly to you, but my issue is that i ordered a nose chain for my nostril piercings in october 2020 & it is now april 2021 without it. initially they said 2 weeks for it. i went in 2 weeks later & their piercer told me metal mafia was on back order. i’ve gone in at least 2 other times to follow up & got other jewelry in the process, but they still don’t have it. they haven’t even called me once to tell me what’s up. if something is on back order from a retailer? then okay. not tainteds fault. i get that. but back order... for SIX months? highly doubtful. if anyone can order directly through that company, shipment of items must be consistent. there is no way 6 months is reasonable. & the fact tainted hasn’t called me once to touch base? they’ve now created a whole different issue. i’ve gone to tainted for 8 years, but honestly that’s 8 years too long. only 2 of my 20 tattoos from there i’m actually happy with. my first tattoo ever was from there & the artist i was talking to ab doing it cut me off & rudely said “i’ll pay you $50 to NOT get this tattoo”. a different artist for a different tattoo gave me a huge back arm piece with no color when i wanted color, then had the audacity to say “you never said you wanted color”. then i had to correct him & tell him “i absolutely did bc i couldn’t think of the name of this certain purple i wanted so i walked into your area & pointed out the color i wanted out of your specific collection”, & he says “oh yeah you’re right my bad” & that was that. said he didn’t have time to fix it. um. excuse me? screw that & screw you. i’ve had nothing but horrible experiences there. so i won’t be returning.

I went in today for a scheduled piercing appointment. The piercer opened up the building and took off his coat and opened up his room. I immediately could smell pot pouring out of the room and possibly him. It was offensive and distracting. I was asking him questions about the jewelry but then stopped and told him I was no longer going to let him pierce me. I was so looking forward to getting my piercings done but my better judgment told me to walk away.

The piercer / owner was super outgoing ! Very knowledgeable and ensured I got all the info and more to ensure a great recovery. Love the chill vibes

I came here to get my nose pierced and had an amazing experience! Edwin is the piercer here and not only was it pretty much painless (and I hate pain) I was able to come and get it changed, if I wanted a different one, for free I just had to pay for my new ring. Im planning on coming back soon to get my cartilage pierced and would definitely come back to get any tattoos I want to future

Went in for a quick lobe piercing because my old piercing never healed properly due to the usage of a piercing gun from Claires.Never get a piercing by the gun. Ever. Come to a shop like Tainted Skin. Trained professionals wholl make sure youre taken care of, have a good jewlery selection, and a solid experience.I do not know if they do children as each business may or may not, so do check with them in advance if youd like to pierce your childs ears.

I honestly would not go anywhere else to get anything done! The piercer is fantastic and so is that tattoo artist clean work and the prices are unbeatable. You will not be disappointed by anyone here or the service received.

My Name is Mandy & I got my Daith pierced on Aug 31. Tess did a really great Job! She really made me feel comfortable.

Took a trip up there two nights in a row to get some work done, nothing too fancy, but they couldnt fit me in. They say walk-ins are encouraged, but that didnt work out too well. It looks pretty nice inside. Ill be taking my business over to China Doll instead.

The guy who did my piercings was professional and made me feel very comfortable and explained everything thoroughly I would go to him again anytime

I walked in for this tattoo and I felt so unwelcomed. My friend and I were both supposed to get little tattoos but they told her that they dont do knuckle tattoos (where she wanted). Jake did my tattoo and in the middle of shading he hit my ear!!!! All he said was oops. I did not even realize until after he was done (I was in the zone) that he left a line on my ear. I tried peeling it off but it didnt scab.The tattoo itself is in a weird placing and I am not happy with how faded it is already. When I went to check out after watching my friend get her nose pierced Jake was already outside smoking and did not check me out (probably because he left a line on my ear) so Alex checked me out and I left pissed off. I got my ear pierced to try to hide the mark.

I had my nose pierced here today. They were so kind and very professional. Everything was explained to me. I was told first come first serve but at the time I went in there was no wait. Id honestly recommend this place to others. Thank you.

I don’t think this place wants business lol. I have tried MULTIPLE times to get a tattoo here and they either never got back to me or were incredibly rude when I did call myself or go in there. My advice - go somewhere where they actually want business.

Ryan rushed through the tattoo left me with bad scars on my arm would NEVER go back for a tattoo

My daughter and went in to have our noses pierced. John, the owner, helped us and it was such a great experience. We were both a bit apprehensive, but he put us at ease. He explained everything about the procedure and after care. He was so friendly and calming. Everything was very clean. I would recommend to everyone!
