I have received quite a lot of tattoos from Taylor and he does a killer job all around! He’s super creative and you’ll be stoked with the finished result!

Writing this review for my artist Taylor who I highly recommend ! He takes time for your design and listens to you for size and placement . He will not rush you from the start . Most importantly , he makes the whole process comfortable and enjoyable ! You can put on music that you like and take breaks if needed . He has done a majority of my sleeve and I’ll keep coming back to him time and time again . He has made the tattoo process comfortable , fun , and he’s an outstanding artist overall . Go see Taylor !!!

I’ve gotten three tattoos done by Taylor at True At Heart. He is such a kind person and an amazing artist. His attention to detail on smaller parts of tattoos is amazing. He has such great ideas and really spends time connecting with his clients.

Paul did an awful job and then blocked me when I told him I didn’t want him to try and fix it after he sent me a mockup of his “fix”. He did not finish the last little bit of my half sleeve and kept my deposit. Complained about his divorce for 5 hours. Very unprofessional.

Personally I won’t ever go anywhere else. I love everyone here, and the atmosphere is chill. I go to Paul Hernandez for all of my work, not only is he just a cool guy but he makes sure you’re comfortable and happy with his drawings… and the aftermath… incredible!!! He works quick and efficient. I love all of my artwork by Paul.Someone even told me once “your tattoos almost look fake because they’re so perfect” I’ll take it 😂

I have a full sleeve and it was all done by Ryan Christy from True At Heart Tattoo/Raygun Tattoo. Ryan first of all is amazingly talented. He is super chill, family man and really listened to my ideas throughout the entire process.He suggested some colors that I would have not originally chosen as part of my arms story but am so glad I listened to his recommendations because I am THRILLED with how it turned out.I get stopped at least once or a twice week with people commenting on my sleeve. If you are looking for a solid artist, ask for Ryan. He is the best!

I love this place, Paul is a great artist, Ive said it before I say it now. He did a cover up on me and my daughters first tattoo, he doesnt disappoint I highly recommend him for your tattoos.

Called them up wanting traditional with a custom twist, Tim answered the phone and happens to be the perfect guy for what I wanted.Came in Yesterday and from start to finish it was a textbook experience. The crew makes you feel very welcome and answered all of my care concerns and tattoo questions. It was a pleasure working with Tim, and putting trust in him to iron out an idea and create a masterpiece has left me more than happy.Thanks again guys will be back

I was looking to continue my traditional sleeve, and Tim Arthur was recommended many times by friends of mine! He got me in the shop quickly, was insanely detail-oriented when it came to the design (and happily applied last-minute ideas I had in the waiting room) and I couldn’t be happier with the work.Plus, he was a blast to hang with the whole time and I hope we get that surf sesh in soon!

Awesome place. I got tatted by Jordan and he made me feel so comfortable getting my first ink. He had great communication, quadruple checked everything, and conveyed exactly what I wanted. This place has a great atmosphere as well.

Cannot say enough good things about my experience at True at Heart. I was in town for business and happened to walk in and speak with Tim Arthur. We were able to set up an appointment for myself and three friends for later in the week. Our appointment was on time and professional. Tim worked with me on a custom design. He was open to my ideas and provided ways to make my design come to life. He took almost 30 minutes to design my tattoo and make sure it was exactly what I wanted. I never felt rushed or like I was annoying him. This is the 8th tattoo I have but my first with Tim. It was by far the best tattoo experience I have had. I absolutely love my tattoo and the work is spot on. Would highly recommend Tim and True At Heart. Looking forward to more tattoos in the future!

True At Heart Tattoo is an exceptional franchise stacked with talented artists who take pride in their work. Jon De Anda the owner is an amazing artist and is a true master of his craft. What I love about this place is they invest in you as much as you invest in them. I have been working with Jon and his ability to add life and fluidity to stagnant old tattoos is uncanny. True at Heart tattoo in Dana Point is the place to go if you want a tattoo done correctly and want a place with good vibes. I have been tattooed by both Tim and Jordan and I couldn’t have asked for better tattoo artists! They are both professional and extremely talented! Tim has done 3 pieces for me and his attention to detail is fantastic. The shop itself is very clean as well! I will keep coming back for more and highly recommend this place!

I went in as a walk-in and they took great care of me and the tat came out fire. I would recommend Jordan or Paul they are both stand up guys and great artists. I’ve gone back at least 5 times and love the experience more and more every time!!

Jordan and Paul are awesome. I have gotten 30+ tattoos between both of them over the last 4 years or so. I have referred anyone that asks me where I get my work done and they have all been more than happy and continue to return! Love this place!

I live in Los Angeles, a place that it littered with tattoo shops, but theres a reason that I drive all the way to Dana Point to get my work done! Ive been seeing Paul for several years now, & not only is his work impeccable, but hes completely open to whatever ideas I have, & always throwing in his suggestions so that everything comes out absolutely perfect! The rest of the guys in the shop are great too, creating such a welcoming environment that I look forward to my appointments just as much for the tattoo as I do for getting to hang out with good people. I cant even tell you how many compliments I get on my tattoos either. The only downside I could think of is that the shop & Paul are so far away from where I live! Maybe its time I move to the OC! Haha! Go here though! Ask for Paul & tell him Dustin sent you,but honestly you cant go wrong with anyone in there!

I have been going to Raygun tattoo for well over 7 years now, my artist is Ryan Christy. I have always felt comfortable going into the shop to draw up new pieces of art to add to my collection. Ryan has always worked very professionally and efficiently with me. I always enjoy going into the shop even if it’s just for a consultation, they really make it a good environment to be in. These guys mean business! It’s a straight forward tattoo shop, clean facility and welcoming atmosphere. I’ve been going to Ryan Christy for a while and he never disappoints. I give him my random ideas and he transfers it to skin using his rad artistry. He’s authentic and knowledgeable in his trade and has been for a very long time. Have been coming here for years now, all my work has been done by Craig Christy and he is beyond AMAZING. A true artist, awesome ideas, is patient, super talented, works with you on ideas, placement etc. Brougjt my bf here recently from out of town and Craig completed his sleeve, now he’s hooked! This place is so cool, clean and really got the beach vibes. Their tattoo artists are on the next level, I’ve got some amazing art on my body because of these guys. I’ve been tattooed at this location by John and Stuart many times! Nothing beats the ocean breeze, chill music, awesome burritos next door at the mini market and just the nicest group of talented guys you could hope for!

Ryan Christy and Craig Christy are talented artist that will give you an positive experience with the whole process from the art work to the healing of the tattoo. This place is the place to go if you want great service awesome staff and true art work I’ve had 6 tattoos done with Ryan christy and he’s my main man he’s very flexible with scheduling and returns calls and texts in a very timely manner his artwork is great the amount of time and care he puts forth is amazing if your not sure what you want he can sit down with you and go over and hand draw a draft to see if you like it he’s very professional and a awesome guy to work with I highly recommended working with Ryan. So I wanted a tattoo and started looking on Yelp at different places. I really liked the images they were showing. Very detailed and the shading was on point. My tattoo artist was very patient and thorough with my consultation. In fact my consultation took longer than my tattoo but dont get me wrong he really took his time with it as well. shaded it and made it exactly what I wanted. I felt bad because his 1st draft after he had put it on my arm before he inked it up, I felt was too large and I asked for it to be made smaller and he had to redesign it all over again. That says a lot and now he has a customer for life and I have another appointment with him on Thursday for my 2nd tattoo I can hardly wait and you better believe I will post a photo of that as well. Thanx so much Craig you rock!

This place rocks. It was recently remodeled, is clean and sanitary. I have used Ryan Christy to do my work for over a decade, and keep coming back to him. Give him your ideas and he’ll work with it and use his artistic skills to create a quality tattoo.

Hands down the best tattoo place in the OC! It’s hard to find real “artist” in the tattoo industry. Ryan Christy has done an amazing job on every tattoo he’s done for me. He even did a cover up that no one else would even attempt to do! Others told me to have it lasered first. Very talented guy. I get so many compliments on all my tattoos that he’s done. Craig and Ryan have been in business here for 20 years at least. As one of the most established tattoo shops in south county, they provide quality work and are really friendly and easy to work with.
