Just wanted to show some love from Minnesota. We were down for vacation, and made a quick last minute appointment. The guys were totally awesome and hilarious. Will be hitting this place up with an appointment next time! And getting some dank work done!

Byron is the absolute best!!! I was so scared to get my mid-ear pierced, and he was so patient, funny, and calming. The piercing did not hurt at all because he is such a pro. 11/10 recommend Byron!!

Bryons really the best piercier I met. Im new to piercings and had a issue with the barbell on my lobes I got from another place. I came in to get them taken out and to get alternative jewelry for them. Hes extremely kind and reassuring. He answered all my many questions and my ear healed up wonderfully. I came back for several more piercings afterwards and hes my go-to guy for piercings. If I have any issues with them, I feel comfortable enough to come back and ask for him to take a look. Twice now my ears looked messed up to me, and his recommendations healed them perfectly. Hes extremely knowledgeable and will work with you to get the look you want.

Byron is a 10/10 piercer. he is so chill and funny and nice. he really knows how to pierce ears and noses. he is good at distracting you from the pain. highly recommend.

Skylar did an amazing job! Justin did my best friends Ariel tattoo. She took her time, made me comfortable & produced the best tattoo that I currently have. The prices were reasonable but the work is top notch. Look forward to seeing them again 💜

The place is very clean + friendly + inclusive. Most importantly, the artists are well-qualified, thoughtful + talented. The artist we had was experienced + willing to meet & work with my son several times in advance of the tattoo simply to design + perfect the artwork. You wont go wrong choosing this place.

After the end of the first day of our beach vacation, my daughter realized the bead had come unscrewed from a newish rook piercing and was panicking. It was a few minutes before 10pm when she called and the shop was closing. Byron stayed late to help her, put her immediately at ease, and switched out the jewelry. She loves it…said it was the best experience she has had with a tattoo/piercing artist, and if she didn’t live 3,000 miles away she would definitely be back! Thanks Byron for turning what could have been a very disappointing evening into a great vacation memory!

Came in jan 3rd to get my eyebrow pierced and it was the best piercing experience i’ve ever had. byron the piercer was super kind and talked me through it, and the girls that worked there were hyping me up the whole time telling me i looked good and did a great job. if i ever want a tattoo or another piercing, i’m definitely coming back.

I absolutely love this shop! A friend of mine recommended this place to me a few years ago, and I’ve been going here for my tattoos ever since. I usually do walk-ins and have worked with Austin and Phillip, and they were both awesome; I would also feel comfortable with any of the artist there! They listened to my wants/needs for every design I come in with, and offered great advice to help with finalizing my pieces. The shop is clean and hygienic, and the atmosphere is also great and welcoming. Definitely recommend!

My friend got a septum piercing with Byron, and I got a tattoo with Austin. Incredible service, incredible work. They were so friendly and fun to work with. Austin listened to me about what I wanted, and my tattoo came out better than I could’ve hoped!

Very clean shop. Just stopped in and saw Cherry for a cute little elephant on my wrist. She did a great job and had a super light hand. She explained the placement and even though I didn’t want it the traditional way. She understood and gave me exactly what I wanted. I would definitely recommend.

Byron did an incredible job, his attitude and confidence make you feel much more comfortable, I did two piercings with him and I would recommend him if you are thinking about getting any. Great experience and location!

Went in yesterday to see the piercer and had the most fun experience. Everyone in the shop was so friendly, and I was immediately put at easy by the overall attitude. Byron did an absolutely fantastic job with my snakebites, and never once made me feel bad for being nervous, or for making noise during the piercing itself. There have been times Ive gone into shops and immediately felt intimidated, but that wasnt the case here. Byrons bedside rapport was immaculate and I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking to get any kind of piercing. I definitely will be back.

Blue-haired Brittany is awesome!! Super accommodating consult and excellent execution. Her line work is exact and clean. The shop is nice too! Skylar Meadows did an absolutely wonderful job on my tattoo. Making sure that I was feeling alright throughout the entire session. I recently got tattooed at stroke of a genius by Britt with my best friend. Britt did an AMAZING job!! I cannot stress enough on how beautiful and happy I am with my tattoo. My husband & I won’t go anywhere else for tattoos since I found Phil & Justin! We both had cover-ups done, my husband got a portrait of our son, & even some filler pieces. One of The Best Tattoo Shops around. Ive had work done here before and its my best piece to date. Next will be my most ambitious piece to date and I couldnt have picked a better shop. I love SOG in Deerfield the vibe is really relaxed and chill, everyone that works there is super nice. I had an amazing experience being tattooed by Skylar Meadows. She created a tattoo I’d been dreaming of for years and it came out even more perfect and beautiful than I even thought it could. I have another appointment with her Saturday. She is so nice and does everything to ensure your comfort during the process. Her passion shines through and the way she talks and thinks about color is incredible. I highly recommend getting tattooed with her if you can!

This place is my home away from home. My work is done by Justin Stephan and he is the true definition of an artist. His work is exceptional! He is an absolute professional with attention to the smallest detail which makes my tattoos really stand out. I am literally complimented on a daily basis by complete strangers admiring his work. I have other tattoos from years ago done by other people and cant wait for him to cover them up with his designs! I went in to get my belly button pierced, was greeted right away by Skylar and was put at ease the minute she started talking to me. She was super professional, knew what she was doing, and made me feel not as anxious. I just got a tattoo done here a couple days ago and it was a great experience and I loved my piece. Bruno took care of me my tattoo came out great I love it! he was extremely gentle and over all I loved his vibe and made me feel very comfortable. I’m definitely going back to him for more pieces.

Had the most amazing tattoo done by the most amazing artist, Valerie! I got it on my upper ribs, this is my 7th, I was nervous of the pain due to area. I honestly could not feel when she was doing it. She was so gentle and it turned out better than I imagined. I plan on seeing her again soon and I highly recommend her. The shop was clean, my sister & niece had tattoos done also and the guys were just as amazing.

I was on vacation and got a tattoo by Hallie. She was AMAZING, very professional, and kind. She took her time with me and was very patient. It was my first tattoo in 10 years (my second tattoo ever) and I was pretty nervous but she made me feel completely at ease. I am so in love with this tattoo that I got as a memory and tribute to my dear friend after she passed away from cancer.

This place was awesome. Brittney Lincoln did my tattoo. I had never heard of this place and looked it up because I am on a vacation in the area. I am so happy with how this turned out! Not only was Brittney extremely nice she did a great job of listening to what I wanted. I walked into this business today excited to get a piercing and for my husband and I to look into getting tattoos. We love to support Deerfield Beach businesses since we live here and that’s why we looked into this place and it seemed that they had good reviews. As soon as we walked in, we were not even greeted even though we said hello. There were two guys at the front. Neither of them spoke and the one told me that the other one said “ok”. I guess he meant that the other guy said “ok” to even talk to me. It felt like we were being judged for not being fully tattooed or pierced. Both my husband and I were extremely disappointed and we decided to walk out. They unfortunately lost what would have been two reoccurring clients.

Clean shop, professional artists, and impeccable work. I’ve had two pieces done by Skylar, her lines are flawless! Whether you want something minimalist or something realistic she’s your girl. She takes her time with you and makes sure you’re 100% comfortable with the placement and sketches without making you feel bad if you keep changing your mind. Can’t wait to come back, see y’all soon!

This is such a great shop. Hallie did an amazing job covering up an old tattoo of mine with an awesome octopus! Shes very talented and I couldnt be happier with my tattoo. I spoke to someone on the phone a few days ago and said I could call back today before I came in. That person was super nice! But the person I spoke to on the phone today was awful! He made fun of me over the phone and said the name of the tattoo shop was actually something else like ?!? Very unprofessional. I was excited to get a tattoo here today after looking at a few other tattoo shops but how can you trust a place that says there tattoo shop is actually a different place?! Super sketchy

Love this shop! I’ve been working with Bruno on my coverup project for about a month a half and everytime I see him- it’s such a great time and I definitely feel super comfortable around everyone who works there! Bruno has done an exceptional job on this project and I can’t wait to work with him on the rest of my ideas! He is always so focused and delicate. I love him! One of the best I’ve been to 💕

My fiancé and I got matching tattoos of our daughter’s birthdate from Skylar and we’re extremely happy about our experience with the shop and with Skylar. She listened to what we wanted without the typical artist attitude of “you can’t do this this and this” (as a reference, I have 15 tattoos done by 5 different artists from 5 different states). They were done in an appropriate of time, fairly priced, but most importantly : the work is perfect. Clean lines and flow. We’ll be going back to the shop and Skylar for future work.

Got my first tattoo here a couple years ago by CJ and it was the perfect first tattoo experience! Everyone in the shop was super nice. Yesterday, I got a tattoo by Skylar and she was awesome. Tattoo came out great and as always, a good experience at this shop.

I got my first ever tattoo today, now I am a huge baby that has the pain tolerance a low as physically possible ( I can’t even get a shot). But Bruno made the experience albeit still painful, worth every minuet. He stopped to let me breath when asked and even played around and made me laugh. Overall good place to come and a great staff❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I recommend.

I am going to be completely honest in this review. I went into Stroke of Genius at Deerfield Beach with high expectations because I researched the artist I wanted. I heard great things about him, and read many reviews and articles on him. When I sat down with the artist everything went perfect! He took pictures, asked me questions, gave me feedback, and then when it was time to leave he told me to email him with extra details. In the meantime he would draw up the tattoo. I sent the artist the email about a week later with the remainder of the tattoo designs. I did not hear anything back for about 2 weeks, so I decided to call. I called the store and he was not in but the guy assured me he would tell the artist I called. One week later and still nothing. I sent another email expressing my concerns and just wanted to hear back from them. A few days went by so I visited the shop. The artist was not there and the guy at the front said he would talk to the artist personally. After waiting another week I started to give up hope. I sent one last email in an attempt to connect with the artist, however no response. Here I am today, about 2 months later still no contact with the shop or the artist. I am very upset about this because I was looking forward to having this particular artist. I wanted the best of the best and I was willing to pay for it. Unfortunately this did not happen. If the shop reads this please pay more attention to your customers, I know you guys are extremely busy but its good customer service to email your clients back. Especially when I made multiple attempts for 2 months period to get into contact with you.

This shop and the people that work in it are amazing!! I’ve been getting tattooed by skylar for a while now and I’m not going to anyone else. She was unbelievably professional and took amazing care of me. She brought my tattoo to life in a way I couldn’t even imagine. I am beyond satisfied with my experience and with the work done. Eric and I went in on a whim. Eric had the itch it was 8pm. Rob greeted us w a friendly smile and took Eric right away. He had a simple all black request of a spec fish on his bicep. Rob did an AMAZING job. We have many tattoos from home made to several shop tats from all over the country and this guy is TOP. Very smooth lines not too deep. Just EXCELLENT work. Ive seen great work come from here and my personal friend and artist told me this place is great. I know they are capable of good work. A week and a half ago I walked in with my best friend and I was crying. Days before my little sister had passed and all I wanted was a simple sailor jerry traditional piece for me to have her with me.Two girls were sitting doing absolutely nothing when i walked in, one had blue hair. Im In tears mind you. I had a picture of my sister just for comfort. The girls made made me feel judged and unwanted. They looked at me like I had three heads as I threw some ideas I wanted. They played hot potato with who was going to get stuck with me. I couldnt believe the attitude. And they told me they couldnt do what I wanted. Tried to get me to do a simple silhouette. No. Lazy and rude.Most tattoos are memorials and are for healing. Im so disappointed with how I was treated. Those girls will never get my business and I will make sure everyone knows how I was treated in my most vulnerable state. Im a true local and this is not how we treat each other.Thankfully Jay Black 💗 has my back and helped me.

Justin Richardson is one hell.of an artist as much as he is a person. He has a steady hand and a great personality. Out of all the people in the shop I recommend justin hes just very good at making conversation as well as creating art.
