Beautiful space, very educational and talented staff, convenient location. Barbara, Michael and Noelle are the best. Their facials are the most amazing ever because they are medical grade yet pampering. Their personal and targeted recommendations are spot on. I’m 51 years old and my skin improved within one week of my first facial. If you are looking for a truly therapeutic experience and regime, please give Skin Med Spa a try.

I definitely went out my comfort zone when my cousin made an appt for me. My sister normally does my Botox, but she’s in Denver and just had her second child. I worked in the cosmetic field for 6 years and have been getting Botox since 23.Mike was the provider who treated me. He was thorough, professional and knowledgeable. After listening to my goals, he recommended I try Jeauvu. I got injected Monday and I can see the results today Thursday. He did AMAZING. My results are so symmetrical and I cannot wait to continue seeing him

Skin med spa changed my life! I’m so happy I started coming here. I started November 2023 doing the weight loss injections and have lost almost 60 pounds! I want to lose another 50 and will keep coming until I reach my goal. After 4 years of struggling with my weight and diets that never worked this has helped me feel like myself again mentally physically emotionally. And I can’t thank them enough for giving me my confidence and my life back!

I felt welcomed the moment I walked in the door. Their front desk reception was polite and courteous. Mike and Barb were exceptionally educational in preparing me for my RF. At no time did they make me feel rushed and answered all of my questions. They made me feel relaxed and the process seemed like a breeze! I highly recommend them for your mednspa needs!

I had an OxyGeneo facial done here a few months ago. I decided to try a second OxyGeneo facial at another establishment about 2 months later and realized I overpaid at Skin Med Spa. The service at the second establishment was not only cheaper by at least $50, the overall experience was much more luxurious. Unfortunately, I would not recommend facials at Skin Med Spa. I have not tried their other services. This review is only for facials.

I cannot say enough great things about this place! I started coming here over a year ago for laser hair removal. Barb has been absolutely amazing every single time! I recently tried their newer laser machine (the Motus) and oh. My. God. I cannot believe how easy and painless it is - literally NO pain!! The staff here is so sweet and never ever pushy about any other services. They really listen to your questions and make recommendations that will actually work for you. Prices are reasonable & the location couldn’t be more perfect. I will most definitely be a lifelong customer!

I have been going in to Skin Med Spa weekly since April 2023 for semaglutide shots. The pricing is competitive and I have appreciated the care I get from Barb and Mike when they administer my shots. We do monthly weigh-ins, retake measurements, and go over any side effects I might have been feeling that week. If youre looking for help with weight loss and want some weekly guidance and accountability, this is a great option.

I had filler done 17 months ago and it looked good at first and then my lip had a bubble so I kept calling and the receptionist kept telling me to massage it. Fast forward I spoke with mike and he provided me no options or solutions to my problem. I just wanted my lip to look better and I feel like he blew me off. He told me that the filler was too old like it wasn’t his problem even though we know filler can last much longer than average.

Great service, they added me to their schedule on a moments notice. I live in Chicago so I really appreciate it. This will be my new place for fillers and jeaveau. Barbara did an amazing job, I really love my filler and can’t wait to come back for other services.

This Spa is truly a great place to receive treatments. They treat you like family. They are honest in their work. It’s unfortunate in today’s world that people, such as A T, are allowed to post false accusations of businesses for their own benefit. Even when their English is clearly lacking. And clearly they are out to get everyone since they’ve gloated about having a doctor’s license revoked. So unfortunate that businesses can’t screen their clients prior to giving them treatments. That would be the day that businesses refuse clients who are clearly menaces and untruthful.

Let me start by saying - Im terrified of needles and get very anxious before appointments like this! Barb is literally the best injector ive ever been to. She did an amazing job on my lip filler, all while making me super comfortable & relaxed! Such an amazing team & i will definitely be returning!

I had went here April 2023 to get my lips dissolved (due the years of buildup and eventually migrating above my lip) as I wanted to start fresh and seen good reviews on this place and it being so local to where I live. After being injected with new filler that Barb did, I noticed a bump below my wetline of my lips. I had told Barb this and she claimed it was due to my previous injections she had already dissolved (I knew this wasn’t true as I never had bumps here prior, and she dissolved the previous filler that was already on my lips/she had a fresh pallet to work on...but I wasn’t going to argue the obvious when I never seen this bump in 6 years of doing my lips until AFTER she filled them)She offered to inject more to even out my uneven smile, or dissolve and start fresh again. After paying for my lips to be dissolved and paying for product to have them filled, I chose to even out my smile line. Things did not even out, instead it left a few more bumps. I knew I would never come back here after this, and waited it out in hopes for them to dissolve in time on their own. They did not. Today (10 months later) I went to a very reputable injector and she refused to fill my lips over these bumps and dissolved them. She explained to me that filler should never be injected here as it will not disappear as I think and infact it will cause scar tissue, and said, “what did they do to you” and was in shock at how awful my lips were done. She told me she will be shocked if I don’t have scar tissue already, and I will know soon once the swelling goes down from her dissolving them. It’s a shame when I pay Barb to dissolve a minor issue, pay again to have them refilled for a bigger issue to arise, and now have to pay again at a knowledgeable place to dissolve them again. Despite all the positive paid reviews (they offer discounts at first visits to write a good review-atleast they did for me), I would suggest to pay attention to this one before choosing your next injector.

Have done laser hair removal with the Motus which was so easy and pain free! I have also done a series of cool peel and other skin treatments which have been nothing short of amazing. I have gotten so many compliments on the notable differences. As someone that struggles with adult acne, this makes such a huge impact!

I dont live in this state, but Neurotoxin is crazy expensive in my home state so sometimes when I travel I look for a good place to get my occasional fix - since I get both cosmetic (eyes and forehead) AND functional (masseter muscles for TMD) botox, it can easily run about 1300 dollars every 4 -5 months. That gets expensive!As a health care provider, I am actually trained in giving neurotoxin but dentists are just not good at accurately doing the facial toxin and most RNs arent great at administering the masseter toxin. No matter what, its never quite right.At this facility, the APRN (sorry forgot her name) was very trained. She knew her stuff probably more than anyone Ive seen over the last 15 years for this procedure. The other thing I liked, was unlike the other locations, she chose to fill up about 10 tiny syringes instead of just having one big one. Why I asked? She said that the first poke or two is always ok but it always hurts more with each poke if you use the same needle because it gets dull after a few insertions. MIND BLOWN!! That makes sense! So this was BY FAR the most painless botox experience of my life! That extra step made the process so much better!! So for that reason, I wanted to leave this review.My session was $1000 but its about 300 or 400 dollars than I am used to. This was at $13 per unit with a $60 dollar discount from the vendor (I needed a lot).

Ok legit Barb and Mike are the best. I’ve been coming here for the last 3 years and Barb always places my tox in the perfect spot every single time. Never have to get it retouched. Mike has been laser removing my tattoo and is super sweet and kind- I’m a huge baby and he always numbs the hell out of me first. I look a lot better since I started coming here. Just try them. Id give Skin Med Spa 6 stars if I could!Michael and Jennifer are consumate professionals. Theyre both very knowledeable, skilled and do a great job. They listened to me and were also realistic, balancing my expectations. I made a few trips to Skin Med Spa to treat some pigmentation on the bridge of my nose that was caused by a pair of reading glasses leaking dye from the frame. Yes, this really happened. Ive been trying to get rid of the pigmentation ever since. Closest thing to compare is trying to get a tattoo removed.Prior to visiting Skin Med Spa, Id been to two dermatologists in Naperville & Northbrook and was treated with a laser at one place and got a steriod prescription at another. Neither of them helped much. Skin Med Spa combined a chemical peel with gradual laser treatement to lighten the pigrmentation considerably, Both Michael and Jennifer were cautious in their approach, something I appreciated greatly. They explained that the darker the skin, the harder it is to manage pigmentation something that sounds contrarian but isnt. I much appreicate their effort, and the thoughtful and results oriented approach to my pigmentation issue. Thanks Michael and Jennifer!

My favorite place for microneedling and I have seen really big improvements in my complexion and general face skin health after those. I’ve gone to Skin Med spa for Botox and laser hair removal, the new laser is pain free! Mike is very informative and friendly and I loved the results! Just one visit and 95% of the hair was gone and I’ve been back a second time for Botox because it did take some years off my looks. I’m going back for my second treatment of hair removal in a couple of week.

I went to Skin Med Spa on a friends recommendation and Im glad I did. Just turning 30, I found my skin looking not as good as it once did. If i could give them a 10 star i would from the time i walked into the door i was attended to . someone who works in a plastic surgeons office i would highly recommend med spa the staff was friendly and there for support in the process i had botox and lip filler for the first time and the best thing about it was i only used .5 of my filler and had the option to come back if i wanted to have more to my lips in 2 weeks instead of waisting the rest of what i payed for. This is my second visit there my mom and I had a great experience. We both got fillers and Botox done. We are so happy for the results. Barbara was so professional and made us feel comfortable during the visit. And most importantly I love my new lips, very natural and I feel beautiful.

I had the best botox treatment which I love! The jeuveau was even better than botox. It was my first time doing it and I can’t believe what a difference it made in looking more youthful. Barb was so patient with me and answered all of my questions. I know I can be a little high maintenance so it was nice that Barb was so friendly and understanding of all my questions. Hi! My wife went to Skin Med Spa and had such an amazing experience! She wanted her decolletage worked on. She had severe sun damage and the skin texture was bothering her. The staff knew exactly how to make her happy. They were able to do a procedure called hyper dilute radiesse to stimulate collagen and a CO2 laser (cool peel) right after! She is so happy! Thank you!

As a guy, it’s still somewhat taboo to get aesthetic treatments. I have had the opportunity to get treatments by both providers, Barbara and Mike. They are both extremely knowledgeable and talented, and made me feel tremendously comfortable, and not to mention the fact that they have the best and most expensive lasers. Hair removal so painless with their device, and it only took 5 sessions to see Total hair reduction. All of this, coupled with the fact that they are better priced than the competitors around the area is a no-brainer to come and visit these experts for your aesthetic needs!!

I stumbled upon this when looking for a a tattoo removal place. It was the best random find! I am a nurse and cleanliness and knowledge of treatments is extremely important. Not only does this staff take time explaining all treatments, but they really care about their patients. The spa is beautiful and I am actually getting my other skin care treatments and couldn’t be happier!!! They are the best!

It was my first time and I had very little information on Botox, lip fillers, etc. They were SO nice, welcoming, and did not make me nervous at all. They answered all my questions without me needing to ask them, they were NOT pushy, and it was a clean environment! Reasonably priced as well!I am DEFINITELY returning for more service & I’m so excited.

The spa was so modern and clean I could eat off the floor! Got the Oxygeneo facial done and my face is still glowing a week later. I’ve been looking all over for this type of facial and this med spa is the only one in the area that does it. I just had a 35% tca peel done with Mike at Skin Med Spa. I cannot tell you how amazing my experience was! There was no discomfort whatsoever and almost felt like I was getting a facial. I have Irish skin and usually turn beat red after peels but not this one! I had zero down time. I cannot wait to see my results. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!

My second time coming to this location and I have to say I have had nothing but issues with front desk. First appt, I had called and asked if there was a grace period for being late as I was running 5-10minutes and was told there is no grace period and it would run into my appt time. Then when I had gotten there, was told something different. Second visit, I had called 2 weeks prior to move my appt to a different day and coming into my appt I was told I missed my appt (the appt I had moved) and that “it happens sometimes” but I was upset that I had to tell the front desk that it was a mistake on their part for not changing it and when I proved that I HAD called, then someone at the front desk went to go and see if I could be “squeezed in”, and would’ve had to wait Atleast an hour past when I was suppose to be seen. Upset that on their mistake, no one was wanting to take initiative to fix it, because I would think the customer deserves at least that??UPDATE: Going into the room, instead of a hello, how are you type greeting, I was met with a “oh, we missed you yesterday for your appointment”. Sounded passive aggressive in my opinion as I didn’t understand why it needed to be pointed out, esp when I had to clarify to Barbara that I did not miss my appt, the front desk did not properly reschedule it. I didn’t appreciate that encounter and made me feel unwelcome for the whole duration of the treatment. When leaving to make an appt, I told front desk the 25th and she confirmed that Saturday and I said yes. When repeating back to me the date of my appt she said “the 23rd” and I had to correct her and tell her “25th”. So these mistakes (if not caught) are what’s causing these problems. And not once was there even an apology.

Barbara is patient, attentive to my needs , while giving me her honest opinion on what would enhance my features!

My orthodontist had suggested I try botox for my TMJ/TMD pain. I was nervous but went ahead and tried it after reading good reviews of Skin Med Spa. Barbara was very kind, empathetic, knowledgeable, and patient. I had immediate pain relief. Its only been one day so far but the constant pain Ive been dealing with for the last few months is almost completely gone.

Went to downtown Downers Grove with my wife for sushi. Next door to the Sushi House was a new Med Spa … wasnt sure if it was open... I entered and found a nicely decorated, quant spa, not quite completed but they were very inviting. Nice staff, very informative … my wife asked if they heard of this facial machine... featured on the Bachelor . To my wifes surprise they had it. The oxygeneo, which I guess brings oxygen to the skin. So Christmas came early for Bridget … She was very impressed with her skin and happy with how it felt and glowed... I was happy that I got a present out of the way. Also, I was talking to one of the practitioners who specializes in Hormone Replacement - Low T … Ver impressed with his background on the subject matter... I will return to get tested... all in all an impressive place .. not cold, not sterile... felt like I was talking to friends... would highly recommend.

I had pdo threads done terribly in PA. started losing hope when calling around desperately trying to find someone fix these threads showing through my skin on my face but nobody wanted to go in and fix someone elses mistake. Let me tell ya at skinmedspa they were relentless in helping fix my problem. These are people who clearly care about their work and performance. One of the most important things when allowing someone to stick things in your face should be trust and I 100% trust them. Highly highly recommend.

I have had the best experience here. I have been to medspas all over the city including some of the most expensive ones and this is hands-down the best. They have always worked to accommodate me since day one and are extremely knowledgeable and professional.

This place is incredible and the staff is extremely friendly and really has the customer/patient’s best interest in mind. I went in on a whim to see what my testosterone levels were. I’m in my early 30s was feeling tired and not as motivated. I could also see my muscle mass going down and fat was harder to get rid of even though I ran about 20 miles a week. A short time after recommended trt treatment I gained muscle, lost fat, and have a better approach on life in general. Really I feel like I’m in my early 20s and this point. I was a professional mma fighter and suffered from a severe amount of concussions which caused my testosterone levels to be lower than normal. This is actually a common occurrence for football players and fighters alike long after their glory days unfortunately, but Downers Grove Skin Med Spa reignited my fire and I feel brand new. Schedule today you won’t regret it!!!

Bellafill , something they really pushed for, look into it , it has acrylic in it , I dont know what is in all fillers but no thanks, also I went for a special on botox which they insisted I needed more than what Ive been getting for almost 20 years , and never have I bruised from botox , until now , my appointment was 8 days ago and I took these pics today , I DONT bruise easily ( I cant add photos , sad because you should see)

I’ve been hearing from friends for years that if you get treated for Low T it will change your life. I finally decided to try it for myself. I recently turned 58 yrs old and sure enough I was diagnosed by Dr Mike as having Low T. After a series of treatments I can’t tell you what a positive impact it’s made on my life.
