This post is a month overdue!! Heath did a tribute armband tattoo for me. It is PERFECT! This guy is the best!! I got a tattoo in Rome, Italy and thought I would never find anyone as talented... Well, Heath is the one. Do not go anywhere else! Thanks Heath for my tattoo... It is amazing!

Heath did an amazing memorial portrait of my dog. He was friendly, informative and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. From the consultation through the tattoo I was impressed! I can’t recommend him enough!

I was looking for someone to do a photo realistic tattoo of all the places I have been to and Heath did not disappoint!!! He listened to what I wanted and worked with me to find photos that would best showcase these places. Hes willing to sit and work as long as you can handle it. Each session for me was an average of 5.5 hours. This piece turned out way better than I anticipated and has healed wonderfully. Heath is my go to artist from here on out!!! He is worth the money and the wait.

What else is there to say about Heath and his work that havent already been said? This guy is the real deal. Heath is beyond knowledgeable, and hes just plain unbelievable at his trade. From the consultation down to the final sketch, he was nothing but open, and patient. And when it came time for the piece itself, somehow he managed to make the finished product 100 times better than even the sketch looked. All I can say is I wont be going anywhere else in the future when it comes to getting an A1 tattoo.

About a week ago I had my third session with Heath, he touched up two older tattoos for me and did my left arm half sleeve. I highly recommend Heath as a tattoo artist because he is honest, humble, extremely talented, attentive, and thorough. I have had tattoos done at other shops but the work done by Heath has by far been the best. Heath is in high demand so the wait may be a little longer than most shops but it is well worth the wait. Heath is open about his availability upon booking. He takes the time to understand what you want, crafts the tattoo, and carefully places it in the perfect location prior to beginning tattoo work. The actual tattoo experience is great. The shop is clean and has a TV set up with Netflix and YouTube to help pass the time if it’s a big tattoo. The quality of Heath’s work is exceptional, the aftercare instructions are thoroughly explained and I believe his aftercare instructions helped provide a quick healing process better than others that I have experienced. Heath is very honest and up front about the entire tattoo process, he explains all of the steps and makes sure to keep his clients comfortable during the tattoo process. I would highly recommend Heath for your next tattoo.

Heath is such an awesome artist! I’ve been wanting to cover up an old tattoo on my wrist for a long time, but wanted to find the right artist. After seeing Heath’s amazing tattoos, I knew he was the one. He is very professional, clean and I like that he is very honest about the tattoo and gives you his many years of experience on what will look the best. He took his time and was very gracious with my suggestions/changes during the tattoo. I wanted to add a memorial symbol for my dad and he integrated it into the tattoo in a very thoughtful and artistic way and I love it. I LOVE my tattoo and highly recommend Heath. Absolutely love Heath. Today my wife and I finished up our second tattoo each done by Heath. He is not just an amazing artist but amazing person. TLDR: He runs a fair and sanitary shop. He also makes sure to put his best work in every session. I was appreciative of his reminders and constant communication before, during and after my appointment.I got a half sleeve done with Heath that was absolutely amazing. As a stocky 65 guy it was a lot of surface to cover. Before it was completely finished I was getting compliments on it.Heath made a point to involve me with the design process even when I granted him artistic freedom. This guaranteed that I would get a tattoo that I absolutely loved which I did. He even made a point to show me him cleaning the area and opening his one time use needles, so I had absolutely no worries about sterilization even during a pandemic.Before my appointment he made the pricing and process very clear and gave me the opportunity to ask questions if I had any. He kept me informed leading up to to my appointment as well as automatically sending me reminders, so there would be no way for me to forget.Finally, after finishing my tattoo I was given clear after care instructions. Heath took care of me and kept me informed during the whole process. His pricing was more than fair especially for his quality.

Heath is an amazing artist and I’m so happy that I found him for the floral piece I wanted for my kids. He was super friendly and made the environment very relaxing. He is a great guy and I really enjoyed the conversations we had which helped me get through the 10 hours of work I needed done. Heath does amazing work. The booking process may be longer than most shops, but its definitely worth the wait. I wanted to get a memorial piece for my mom who recently passed away. I brought some ideas to him and he was great to work with through the whole process. Heath ensured that everything fit together just right on my forearm. He was even able to fit me in to start the tattoo on my moms birthday, which really meant a lot to me. I will definitely go back to Heath for more work in the future.

I was introduced to Heath by my daughter and several of her friends (My Girls). I watched him tattoo the girls and was extremely impressed first with his sterile environment, his technique, his conduct and his eye for detail. From concept to finished product, Heath delivered! I walked in with a few images and a general idea of what I wanted, and he was able to turn it into an amazing work of art that I will be happy with forever. The tattoo is only a couple weeks old now, but I find myself constantly looking at it and smiling. I’ve already begun thinking about what he can do for my next tattoo!This was not my first tattoo, but it was the first time not having an exact picture of what I wanted and leaving the design up to the artist. Call me a control freak, but I will fully admit that I was hesitant to have to walk in and make a final decision on a design I hadn’t seen the same day I was to get inked, especially for a tat as big as I got... Heath was great about taking my inputs, and was not afraid to give his expert advice on certain things, which I really appreciated. In researching tattoo shops I came across iron heart tattoo and saw all the glowing reviews Heath got and thought wow this is great but can it all be this good. I decided to give it a chance in the hope that it was and I am so glad I did! Heath was amazing!! I cannot say enough positive things about him. Being a young women I was nervous about how comfortable I would feel in a tattoo shop with just one artist but as soon as I walked in I knew I made the right decision going to him. I immediately relaxed as soon as Heath and I started talking. Let me just say something first. I have got alot of tattoos. Ive had them all done by different artists in both Australia and the US. Im pleased and happy with every tattoo I have. Ive been very lucky and have never had a bad tattoo experience.Heath has done my last two tattoos and he, is by far the best artists, person and tattooist Ive had do any work on me. He is up front, honest, fair, open..... his work is second to none. He takes pride in every tattoo he does... as if he was going to wear it himself. Heath is a master of his craft. He is very professional without being too uptight. The lighthearted conversation and varying discussions made the whole process more comfortable. He is very knowledgeable about the whole tattooing process and measures to be taken to prevent much of the pain.My first tattoo, a large rib piece, was not nearly as bad as Id been led to believe, in large part because of Heath. He gave me preventive measures for the process to dull or remove the pain and his aftercare suggestions have resulted in a much better healing process than many Ive seen.Heaths work is fantastic. He varies in style and has a wide range of capable art. His color usage pops and looks very good. I will update with how the blending looks, but from his portfolio, I expect nothing but the best.I will gladly go back to Heath in the future and pass along anyone looking for a tattoo to his shop.

I first met Heath when he still worked at his previous shop. He was the only person there I would trust with my skin! His amazing talent and hard work has truely paid off! I got my first tattoo from Heath 2 weeks ago and the whole experience was great! He took the time to get to know me and made sure to tell me everything that he was going to do. He is very clean and he is very gentle when giving a tattoo. He doesnt dig into your skin which made the experience great! If I get another tattoo Ill definitely be going back to him!

I just sat for my first tattoo with Heath and it was a great experience. He is a really nice guy, isnt pushy with tattoo decisions, and aims to please. So far his work looks great, and spent a lot of time making sure the design was perfect. It was worth driving 45 minutes to come see him. The price is pretty competitive, and cheaper than most shops. I appreciate that he uses a time clock right in front of you. I only wish he had some more appointments sooner!!!!

Heath’s talent was everything I thought and more! I saw so many positive reviews here about this place and thought I’d give him a try. Today I just finished my whole ribcage! He was so respectful, and professional. He was great with helping me get threw the pain, since this was a very sensitive area. Knew when I needed small breaks but worked incredibly smooth to help me feel as comfortable as possible. Had great insight and ideas, which was something I was looking for in a tattoo artist! I am so happy with his work and definitely recommend this place!

Heath is the most realistic and caring artist Ive come across in my journey of looking for great artists. He genuinely cares about your well being. Day one of getting my tattoo, I couldnt take the pain and started to feel like I was going to pass out, once he realized I wasnt doing to well he immediately stopped and stood by my side till I told him I was doing better and he allowed me to reschedule to get it finished a day later. Another thing I loved was that he treated you like the person you are and not like a rag doll.

I had a great experience working with Heath at Iron Heart Tattoo Co. Heath was able to fit me in on short term notice, and was able to give me exactly what I wanted. I even showed up 1/2 hour late to my appointment due to traffic, and Heath was 100% understanding.After discussing what I was looking for, my tattoo was drawn up right there in front of me. I was adding to an existing tattoo, and Heath was able to match the font completely, making it look as if the piece had been designed all at once.As for the tattoo itself, it turned out fantastic. Clean lines, nice solid blacks - Heath even matched the shading to bring the tattoo together seamlessly.Its safe to say, Ive found my go-to tattoo artist. Even though I live in Maryland, Ill be making more trips to Virgina to see Heath.

After I had looked at tattoo shops near me I stumbled on a piece of work that had been done by Heath while he was working at a different shop. When I read the reviews for the old shop it lead me here to Iron Heart Tattoo. I am so very glad it did! Heath is great, hes funny, cracks jokes, makes sure you are comfortable, and he sets a higher standard for himself and sticks to it. The piece he did for me is amazing, the price was worth every penny, the details are phenomenal! When I get my next tattoo I will definitely be coming back here! Heaths attention to detail and ability to capture emotion in his work is amazing. Hes incredibly personable and easy to talk to making the whole experience a fun process. I loved how much time he spent turning my idea and concept into something completely original and unique. There is no way I would ever consider going anywhere else for any of my future tattoos.

Heath was recommended by two close friends. I had seen the work he had done for them in person and I was already impressed. I showed up at his studio with a blurry photo of a photo that was my tattoo inspiration. Within the hour, he had not only captured the image I had in mind, but had made it into something even more beautiful. He drew a gorgeous black and grey calla lily piece for my rib cage. Throughout the drawing process, he listened to my ideas, but as an artist was also helpful and insightful in creating the entire design. His lines are clear and attention to detail impeccable. I was in love with it immediately, but after my touch up, it was even more impressive. I have recommended him to countless people and my best friend even received a full rib cage tattoo from him as well. Everyone is always shocked when I tell them the price, as well (although with his growing popularity, his rates may go up soon... book now!). Additionally, this was my first tattoo. Heath was great at explaining his process, reassuring me of sanitation procedures, and providing clear instructions for healing, as well.

Iron Heart is a great tattoo shop if you are looking for high quality work for a very decent price. Heath has done 4 of my tattoos including one good size cover up and he has surpassed my expectations each time. Heath is passionate about his art and it is refreshing to go into a shop and have the tattoo artist care more about the tattoo than the amount of money he can make on a client.

My experience with Heath at Iron Heart was really truly awesome. It was a busy day and he managed it all with efficiency and etiquette. We worked together on building my piece and he was very open to any and all of my ideas for coloring. It was a large work of art and he gave it his own flair all the while sticking to my desires and visions for the piece. It turned out absolutely stunning and all that I couldve hoped for. I went in for a consultation back in October. I was very impressed with Heath and his knowledge, his friendliness, and openness. He explained the entire process to me as it was my first time getting a tattoo. I was very satisfied and booked my appointment right then, for January 13th (which was a few days ago at this point). Met with Heath that morning, he walked me through the process again and was fantastic the entire time. Made friendly conversation, was reassuring during the process, and gave me breaks when I needed them. Steady hands throughout and I couldnt be more satisfied with my tattoo! Definitely recommend this shop!

Seriously love all of Heaths work. If you want to know how great he is, I let him tattoo my mother! He does such clean work. He takes an idea no matter how big or how small and works it until its everything you pictured. He takes the time to listen and create something truly custom. Could not expect anything better from artistry to personality. I recently started a sleeve at Iron Heart after never being there before. Heath was very personable and enthusiastic about my ideas. He took my many requests and brought them to life by putting an extremely realistic forest on my forearm. It looks like I printed a black and white photo on my skin. He was not pushy about the business and was more interested in putting a true piece of art on me that I would love forever. Serious props to Heath and his shop. I will never go to another artist.

I’m not quite sure where to begin but please take my review for CONSIDERATION from someone who have been getting tattoos for several years now. With my chest completely covered, right arm sleeve 3/4, to small tattoos all over my body which I got in California from top world known tattoo shops as well. After being located around Northern VA area over 2 years ago, I struggled to find the RIGHT artist. I spent months researching and calling multiple shops until I found Heath. I was worried that his schedule would be fully book and have no time for me. But actually Heath was more than humbling and caring when working with my schedule. Heath was very professional when we met and had consult. He has been one of the most honest artist I have ever met. Heath was straight forward with pricing, helping create unique original ideas, and making the clients feel comfortable. I encourage you all to look over his Instagram,Facebook, and other porfortlios. Even those don’t really speak the caliber of an artist he is. After seeing past work from Heath, I knew he was the one. Heath and I have not done any previous work but seeing his portfolio alone I could tell he was one of the top artist within 500 miles of VA area. I committed my whole back to Heath. AGAIN WE HAVE NOT DONE ANY WORK BEFORE MY FULL BACK PIECE!! We worked over 35+ hrs together as we fully completed my back piece. Unbelieveable isn’t even enough to express the outcome of this tattoo. The sessions were so calming that I didn’t even realize the tattoo pain. Heath was very down to earth, easy going, and even makes you laugh while you feel the pain! The vibe from Iron Heart Tattoo studio is nothing like any other. Closed private studio with zero distractions from loud music or people walking all over the places like in street tattoo shops. Heath made my simple tattoo idea come to life and now I am a walking piece of art. I promise you, you won’t find a better artist, shop or even a person within the VA area. This isn’t a fake review or something Heath asked me to do for him. This is a honest genuine review from a client who have been getting top of the line work from other artist in the past. Please understand there’s a difference of quality between $300 to $700 tattoos!! YOU decide the work of quality you want walking with you for the rest of your life. If you pick Heath, I promise you that you will not be disappointed. And if not, then that is your lost and more openings for me to get more tattoos. Originally I gave Heath a 3 star rating since he has great line work but lacked originality. I changed my rating to 1 star since he chose to discredit me as an artist, insult me as a customer, and not own up to his mistake of copying a great deal of an image on my tattoo. I gave Heath many references for my tattoo but he used about 90% of an easier image he found online. I did not write this review till months later because I was busy with my life. I have re-written my review multiple times based off of Heaths responses.The gist of it all was this:I was one of Heaths customers who was dissapointed to find out my tattoo piece was greatly unoriginal. As an actual artist, not a self proclaimed artist as Heath calls me, I enjoying having unique tattoos inspired by art thats transformed into something original. Unfortunately the tattoo Heath gave me was basically an image he found online, colored in, with a different face on it.I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants unique original work. If you want slightly modified art or an image stamped onto you, Heath would be your guy.

I was referred to Heath after seeing his amazing work in person on a friend. I am very pleased with my decision to have him do some fill-in work on a piece I already had on my chest. Heath is the consummate professional and a truly gifted artist. Heath is running an A-1 establishment! And Tommy is a top-notch artist. My siblings and I have attempted to get a shared Tattoo for years but getting us all in one place at the same time was challenging. We finally managed to do it and the artist at another shop where we made an appointment fell ill. Best thing ever ... for us. We found Iron Heart. They were booked of course but invited us to come down and speak to the Artist. In route, Tommy called us back and said his appointment cancelled and asked that we send him the artwork. We were impressed with the professionalism. The studio is welcoming, intimate, clean, and the atmosphere is serene and fun. Tommy walks you through every step of the way, provides suggestions and was extremely patient even when busy. Many walk ins and both artists take time to address them. I was especially impressed when the how honest they are about what each other is best skilled in and who would be best for the art install or with scheduling. Clean lines, excellent fill and three very happy customers later.. We will definitely return and recommend Iron Heart to friends and family.

I came to Heath with a custom idea for a half-sleeve. This dude completely and totally nailed it AND gave me his own ideas for the piece, which really brought it to life. I had the BEST experience EVER with Heath. He was very professional and made me feel super comfortable for my first HUGE piece of work. He helped me custom design it and he hand drew it out for me. My first impression of Heath was he is passionate about what he does. What I GREATLY appreciated about my experience with Heath was his sacrifice of his personal time to squeeze me in his schedule at last minute. I went in for a cover up on my left shoulder a few days ago. This was at the new Ironhearttattoo shop. The space is clean, relaxing and welcoming. It is a true one on one experience without the distractions from your typical shop.Heath did a great job putting together my ideas into a half sleeve piece. It was supposed to be a two day piece but because of the complexity and the detail Heath wanted to put in it to make it perfect we didn’t finish after the two days. He then came in on a third day (on his day off) during an ice storm to finish the main piece. He killed it! I couldn’t have asked for anything more and I look forward to finishing the second part in the future. I won’t be disappointed with the work that this guy does. It’s truly art.

I got a lord of the rings themed quarter sleeve done by Heath. His attention detail and tattooing ability are top notch. He took the time to talk through what I wanted and made slight tweaks/changes to the desired design so that the image portrayed in the tattooed exceeded the image it was drawn from. Extremely happy with the end result. I would recommend getting a tattoo from Heath to anyone.

Heath is an amazing artist. He did a cover up on arm that many artist, even a few famous ones, turned down. It was literally a life changing tattoo, I was always very self-conscious of it, I never wore sleeveless shirts, now its all I wear, I LOVE showing it off! I can not thank him enough. He turned my arm into a piece of art that everyone compliments!! But not only is he a great artist, he is super friendly, very professional, and makes you feel very comfortable. You will not be able to walk in and get a huge piece that day because he takes the time to draw it right and there are other people who have already recognized that this is the place to get a quality tattoo done.I got a sizable piece on my shoulder and chest that was based on a watercolor drawing and was happy to have found someone that can tattoo with that style. I cannot believe how well it turned out!Considering how much color was required for it, its amazing how flawless and quickly the 2 sessions have healedI wish I could give more than five stars because I absolutely love my tattoo.If you are looking for an extremely high-quality tattoo and realize that cheap and good do not go together in the tattoo world then Heath at IHT is the guy to go see.

Heath is genuinely kind, but his business practices leave a lot to be desired and I question the legality of his business. I booked with Heath after reviewing his Instagram and speaking to him on the phone last October. My appointment was supposed to be in April but COVID got in the way. I recently sat with Heath for two days. The understanding was $165/hr, $400 down payment per day. Discount to be received on the day of if cash were paid, to make the total an even $1100/day for 7 hours of tattooing.In the weeks leading up to my tattoo, it was very difficult to speak to Heath on the phone or get him to reply to my questions about my design, but understandably, he is a one-man show and has no assistant. I almost cancelled my appointment and decided to go with someone else, but I didn’t want to be out my $800 deposit. As of the day before my tattoo, I still had no design; however, we finally connected the day prior and he indicated he would work up the stencil in the morning prior to my arrival.To summarize my two-day experience, I was at Heath’s shop, which is the back room of an art store in a warehouse, for about ten hours per day. Of that ten hours, I was tattooed about 5 of those hours per day. I clocked him to the minute on the second day and it was shy of five hours. The remainder of that time was filled with smoke breaks, lunch break, conversations, and quite a bit of downtime. Even while the machine was running, Heath was texting on his phone. On Day 1, he had a friend stop by and went outside to talk with the friend for 20-30 minutes. I was happy with my work after Day 1, but felt like I was overpaying for his work. I was not as happy after Day 2, when I felt like he again wasted a lot of valuable time which could have been spent actually tattooing me, since that’s what I paid a lot of money for. He assured me we would get much farther on Day 2. I’ve also since discovered several small mistakes in either my line work or shading, which makes me disappointed. We did not get as far as he said we would.I spoke with Heath after Day 2 and conveyed my concerns about the actual amount of time spent tattooing and he was defensive, stating he doesn’t charge by the hour? He still indicated the payment should be in full, and that other artists would have taken 25-30 hours to do what he did in 11, which I don’t believe is accurate. I also learned during an earlier conversation on this second day that Heath has allowed his tattoo license to expire purposely, since he believes the health department is a joke. It should be noted that it is criminal in Virginia to operate a tattoo business without a license.I tipped Heath much less than I was armed with, and only gave a tip to preserve a future appointment, if I chose to re-book down the line. After careful consideration, I will not re-book because I feel Heath misrepresented himself as being above board and did not honor his end of our contract for 14 hours of tattooing. I question Heath’s ethical business practices, and I think he purposely does less than he is able to accomplish in order to keep people coming back and paying great sums of money. For that price, I should have received the agreed upon hours of tattooing with no mistakes. The tattoo studio was not prepared in advance of my appointment either day, and I felt as if I was paying for Heath to talk and to set up his work station. On both days, we did not begin actual tattooing until several hours after I arrived. What was meant to be a positive experience became a worrisome one, and I’m disappointed.If you’re on the fence, continue researching your options. Also, the back room was dusty, had bugs inside which weren’t really bothering me, but which I didn’t feel should have been there for a sterile environment. Now I’m in the predicament of attempting to find an artist who can finish another tattooer’s work, which I believe is going to present a challenge.

I have an original piece by Heath that you can see on the BNG pictures. I am asked all the time who did my tattoo and refer all my friends to Heath. Great atmosphere, conversation, and sanitary.

I came to Heath with a rose design I had seen online. He had me go on the web and find a few pictures of real roses I liked so it would be unique and personal to me. Most shops would have just used a stencil or the photo I had brought in. His custom artwork, cleanliness, and ethics (clock stopped whenever he needed to take a quick hand break) are what will make me drive past the several tattoo shops on my way to Iron Heart.

I came to iron heart for my first Tattoo. Heath, the artist, came highly recommended by a few friends on Facebook. I contacted him by email and within a few days he had contacted me back to set up an appointment. The day had finally arrived and I was nervous, but he helped keep my mind off of what was ahead. He talked to me the whole time and the atmosphere was very friendly and clean. It was like I was just hanging out with a friend.Once he started I was fine, hes very light handed. I was fully expected to be in tears, but he glided across my arm as though he was writing on paper with pen. Before I knew it he was done. He did a great job. He listened to every detail I wanted and expressed it on my arm. Heath is very serious when it comes to the aftercare of your tattoo which is good, because this is a permanent scar so take care of it. Anyways before he started he said this to me Now you know these are like potato chips, once you have one youll want more and he was right on my way home I was thinking of what to get next. Check out iron heart you wont be disappointed.

Went to Iron Heart after doing alot of research on artist in the area. He came in on his day off to meet with me and then did everything before hand that he said he would. After covering up a local competitors mess that was off center and scared. I am more than pleased with the work done. He has anwsered any questions post tattoo that have arised. I cant wait to get in and get the rest completed and more in the future. Heath was an awesome guy to have conversation with during the session.

Heath did an amazing job! Everything was first class. We discussed what I was thinking of getting and he was able to draw exactly what I had described. I was in the chair for 4+ hours total but it seemed to fly and the tattoo came out amazing. I look forward to returning for additional work.

Do not recommend at all. I went to him for a huge cover up back piece first session cost me a 1k 2nd session cost me 700 for half day didn’t get very far at all for that kind of money. Then if you have the covid vaccine he will tell you hard to tattoo you because you have the vaccine and it makes your skin hard never heard of such thing. When I reached out to him to schedule a march appointment he sent invoice for 400$ up front I was not able to pay right at that moment due to unexpected financial situation he then canceled my invoice and sent me a rude email telling me how he worked for free getting me booked I’m a business owner myself and we all know it takes 5 mins to send a invoice I then texted him 3 times with no reply about him finishing what he started when you sit with him for a all day tattoo you might get 3.5 to 4 hrs of actual tattooing by the time he text all day and takes his breaks there by far better tattoo options then this guy

Dark Skinned? Didnt Turn Me DownI went in to get my first tattoo a couple days ago, and it was the best torture Ive ever received. I spend a long time figuring out the just of what I wanted and Heath was super helpful during consultation and on tattoo day. He answered every question I threw at him with honesty which helped alot. I have a darker complexion and during my search of a tattoo artist I was told by one that they were not comfortable tattooing my darker complextion, I assume they werent confident in their work or experience with my complexion. When I went to Heath at Iron Heart he didnt even seem the least bit worried and gave me great feedback (because I wanted red and he told me the best way to approach the color so it will look nice on me when it heals). He was super friendly and patient. Heads up guys, TATTOOS HURT, and I went pretty big for my first one. Im glad I decided to go to Iron Heart Tattoo. The art is beautiful, the atmosphere is nice, Heath is cool and I plan to go back in the future. ITS WORTH THE WAIT AND THE PRICE IN MY OPINION.

I just got my first tattoo. I am sooo happy I went here. I have been working on getting this tattoo for quite a while. I have researched places, artist, ink, and styles. I have , and email or called about a dozen locally known tattoo artist. Only three replied, I interviewed the three artist, yeah there work was great, but there prices where outlandish. Two of them where super snobs. It was a no go. A coworker of mine sent me to check out his guy. Hes cheep, fast and friendly was how he described him. WOW...I will skip all that craziness. Lets just say, why did it smell so bad in there? Heath, the artist at Iron Heart is has a nice clean shop, is a gifted artist, has a great personality, and most of all will talk you through it so you and he understand what you want done. He is very patient and listens to you. By the time I left, I not only had a new amazing piece of art, I believe I made a new friend. Go check him out. You will say the same.

I cant speak to Heaths abilities as a tattoo artist but his ability to manage his schedule and clientele needs serious refinement. I live a about 2 hours from his shop. I thought it was fantastic that he was willing to have a FaceTime consultation with me, which we did. Went great. He said was excited about my life tattoo which was right up his alley and would help build his portfolio. I followed up with him about dates as requested. Never heard back. Sent another message two weeks later. No response. Sent him a text. No response. Sent another text to which he finally replied saying I should come in for a consultation! I wrote back a few more messages reminding him of who I am and what we discussed. Even sent the pictures. Never heard back. Truly dissapointed.

I met Heath over a year ago and have gotten some cover up done as well as fresh ink. Also got an old tattoo touched up. He has always been very professional and done an incredible job. I now live in MD, but will still drive all the way to him before I go somewhere else.

My wife and I just spent the weekend with Heath in his shop getting very large tattoos. He tattooed portraits of our dogs on us so our mutts will forever be with us. Very positive experience, relaxed atmosphere, no shop drama (if youve spent time in a tattoo shop, you know what I mean), no gawkers, scammers, liars or back seat tattooers coming over to tell you what they would do if it was their tat ----no BS.in addition; Heath has a great chair side manner. Ive been tattooed by flowery hippy types who use words like namaste and only eat tofu and Ive been tattooed by gruff ex-con A-holes who take it out on me because they have to see their parole officer this week. I can honestly say; getting tattooed by Heath felt less like I was paying a guy to tattoo me and more like I was just hanging out with a buddy who just happened to be tattooing me. This a great case of looks good at the beginning once its first finished but If you have any issues good luck. I had some work done by Heath and had issues with fading and ink just not taking. So then you mention anything to him and he blows it off and just doesnt address the problem at hand. If you think you can get it done right the first time then good deal. But if not good luck getting anything touched up. But what can anyone say. 6 out of 8 letters stayed. Ill have to get someone to touch up the other thing on the edge of my hand. that didnt stick. As well as the spot the line And as well have pictures of the issues that can be posted to show the issues.

Tattoo artist here does great work but needs to lessen the amount of cig breaks he takes and doesnt stop the clock for. each break was average 20min+. If you want to take a lot of breaks stop the clock!I got my work done here a few weeks ago and has healed great and looks great. low stars are for the amount of breaks im paying for.
