Everyone in the shop was SUPER friendly with really great work. I had the pleasure of getting tattooed by Cookie Lee, she did an amazing job. Not only did she exceed my expectations with my tattoo she made sure I was as comfortable as possible, while also being very knowledgeable, walked me through the process and made sure to also go over the importance of after care with me. Harley is incredible. Simply beyond incredible, compassionate, kind, funny, and extremely professional - she made my most painful piercing the best experience Ive ever had with a piercer. Once you walk in, the atmosphere consumes you and you instantly feel welcomed. Harley walked me through everything, let me change my placement multiple times, told me the details of the piercing and aftercare process, and even gave me some candy and a drink. Harley was amazing, 10/10.

Shiloh is awesome. I went into Julius Star recently to get my first tattoo in nearly 13 years. Shiloh took her time with me and made sure I was super comfortable. Even turned on my favorite music 🙂 Her work is nothing short of incredible. I’m so happy with this piece. Pricing was very fair as well and I’ll definitely be back for more from her. Went in today and got my daughter’s nose pierced by Harley Chivers! She is amamzinng! Very thorough with what she was doing went through each step with her before she did it! She was very helpful answered all of our questions and after the piercing was done she went through all of the cleaning process with my daughter as well! We will definitely be returning to get more piercings done by her!!!!

Spent the day with Vinh getting my first tattoo done. He was an awesome guy who does amazing work. Everyone at the shop was incredibly friendly and helpful. I can’t say enough good things, I will definitely be back, too-notch.

Great shop! I came to get my tongue piercing downsized a couple weeks ago and was taught everything I needed to know about how to care for it and about sizes for whenever I shop for other tongue rings. I came back again today because I lost the ball to my piercing and was able to get it replaced within 5 minutes. Very lovely people and cute dog!

Got my nose pierced by Harley yesterday and it was an amazing experience she was so friendly and professional I usually have really bad anxiety when stepping out of my comfort zone but she made me feel so welcomed and explained everything in detail so I knew what was happening and when. Just left Julius Star for a piece with an artist named Vihn. It’s hardly rare I take the time to leave any review, but when I say this was the best experience by far. I mean that. Communication was 10/10, professionalism 10/10, creativity and what Vihn came up with was absolutely beautiful. Extremely knowledgeable and 10/10 for being so sanitary.The shop itself is beautiful as well. They have coffee, candies in the waiting area. Feminine products in the bathroom. Clean and friendly/cozy environment. 10/10Will be seeing vihn and coming back for more.

I had my rook pierced today. Harley was very comfortable to talk with in general. She has a great personality and customer service while keeping me informed throughout the whole process. I will be going back for my other ear.

My 6yr old daughter had her ear lobes pierced by Harley two days ago. Our experience was fantastic! Shiloh and Harley were great with her, kept her very relaxed, and explained the process in kiddo terms so she felt at ease. My daughter and I went in for memorial tattoos. They got us in the next day. We already knew what we wanted and sent them the pictures.Ethan did phenomenal job! He did a great job drawing them up. The staff is amazimg as well. They offered us sodas/water and coffee. It was cold in there and they gave me blanket. I already have my next appointment set up.

Shiloh Allan is the bomb. My daughter and I cannot be more pleased with what she did for us today. Not only did she do a beautiful memorial tattoo a few weeks ago but she took the best of care today and provides quality care and work. Awesome vibe and great place! Harley pierced my 6yos ears and was SO knowledgeable and easy going about the whole process. She was also great about hyping up my daughter and explaining every step and process. She also explained the difference of using labret studs and the benefits that could be gained.

Vinh did an outstanding job on my tattoo! He took time understanding what I wanted and tweaked it as he went along if I wanted it a little different. Would definitely go back to him again.

Harley was awesome, I went to get a new septum ring and she was so patient with me! Showed me how to switch the ring out myself, wrote down the dimensions for me, and gave me her card Incase I ever have any questions. I will definitely be back!

I had a tattoo of my exs name on me, and I wanted to get it covered up. Shiloh was phenomenal. Shes from New York and really put a lot of care into making sure I was happy with the design to cover my current piece. Shes a great personality the great addition to that team. All of them were super friendly, they had stellar service, and they have the cutest mascot for the tattoo shop named Blue! If I wasnt moving, I would absolutely return anytime for my needs. Aaron did an absolutely amazing job with my first tattoo. The shop was super clean and had a very chill and relaxing atmosphere. I went in for my consultation with a very rudimentary idea of what I wanted and Aaron turned it into something fantastic! I cant recommend this shop or Aaron enough! Looking forward to getting him to do another one for me!

My favorite shop in the area full of wicked cool unique artists and great crew. Shiloh and Harley are the only artists and piercers I’ve personally gotten work done by so far they have high attention to detail, super clean sanitary, and just make me feel so comfortable. I’ve had no problems with healing or anything with my tattoos/piercings just make sure your keeping up with correct aftercare they explain to you. Definitely check this place out.

My daughters, their friends (with their moms), and I recently got our ears pierced by Harley at Julius Star Tattoo Gallery. Harley is absolutely fantastic.I got my 3rd set of ear lobe piercings and she was flawless. Her personality is great, and her technique and manner is wonderful as well.She also pierced my 15 year old daughter who is also neurodivergent. She calmed her nerves, made jokes, and explained the process in a manner that was clearly understood while answering all her questions. My daughter didnt even flinched when it came to getting her 2nd set of ear lobes pierced.My 10 year old daughter got her ears pierced for the first time. While filled with anxiety, Harley took her time to build rapport with my daughter and help her feel at ease before beginning the piercing process. She explained what everything was and made sure my girl was completely comfortable and understood what was happening before proceeding with the piercings. Harley was gentle with each piercing and my little girl left with a big smile and shiny new earrings in her ears with her very first piercings.Harley did a fantastic job with our family and even pierced more of our friends with us as well. I did a walk in with Shiloh and she was absolutely amazing! I did two piercings with her and she walked me through the whole process with great detail and care. She even helped me out when I got lightheaded and weak after my piercings! She was like a loving caring mom! I loved the atmosphere of the studio and how welcoming it as well as Shiloh was. I’ll definitely be back in the future!

Not once but twice I’ve been absolutely amazed and speechless at how amazing my tattoos have come out, always coming out better than expected! Got my first tattoo done on 7/26 and a few weeks later I came back on 8/17 and got a second tattoo done. I will HIGHLY recommend seeing Ethan, he does phenomenal work. I will definitely be coming to see Ethan again for a 3rd tattoo in the future.Blue & Max are also amazing “assistants” who are very sweet and sure do like meeting new friends and getting in some loving❤️

Came back here to get a industrial piercing for my daughter. Sadly she didnt have the right ear shape for the (anatomy based) piercing, she had a backup plan just in case, which was to have the Helix done. The piercer, Harley, was VERY informative and helpful. Im glad she didnt just do the piercing anyway and let my daughter suffer later on. Weve had a wonderful experience here at Julius Star and will continue to have all my families work done here.

The staff is super nice and very professional. I mixed up my appointment date but they were willing to reschedule for me! Jenna is a wonderful lady and was super helpful. Ethan, the tattoo artist, did an amazing job and I’m pleased with the end result. Definitely will be going again to get more work done.

Mike did a phenomenal job with my first tattoo (Session 1 of 2). He takes his time to consult with you, welcomes your feedback, then executes flawlessly. He is very easy going, easy to talk to while tattooing, and makes you feel at ease. I cant wait to go back and add to it!

Dani was awesome! She made the experience pleasant and fun! I knew what I wanted but wasn’t sure how I wanted it laid out. Dani was very patient and took the time to go over different layout options. It’s like she knew exactly what I wanted! She did an amazing job! I brought in actual ink prints of my chihuahua’s paws, which couldn’t have been an easy task for her. The tattoo turned out way better than I imagined it would! Thank you so much, I absolutely LOVE IT!!!! This makes #10 for me, so my expectations of a tattoo artist are pretty high. I had the privilege of spending time with these guys at the Baltimore Tattoo Convention. What a talented, fun, and professional group of artists.The owner, Jeff, went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. Ive never experienced hospitality like this in a tattoo shop. He makes it feel just as much of a family as it is a business. Not in the weird, Im going to work you to death kind of way either.Aaron tattooed my hand while there. His linework is impeccable. That man means business when he has a tattoo gun in his hand. Im looking forward to getting more work from him.Shiloh also tattooed me. She gave me the biggest and most elaborate piece to date. We brainstormed for weeks to make sure it came out perfect. Her linework, shading, stippling, and knowing just where to throw white accents into an all black piece made this tattoo turn out better than I could have imagined. She has rights to my entire arm.Highly recommend this shop. The 9 hour drive I have from NY is worth the experience and raw talent. Thank you, guys.

This place well exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in the door I felt comfortable. At the ripe age of 40 I decided to get my nipples pierced and they look amazing. These guys are amazing. Very clean and nicely done shop with really cool stations. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly and vision is a true artist. Hands down the best tattoo shop I’ve ever came across. It’s an hour drive for me but SO worth it! The atmosphere there is so chill & laid back and everyone is so nice & professional. I have multiple tattoos but this was my first one done here & no where else even compares. I’ll be returning frequently from now on to get all my tattoos done here. If you’re visiting the outer banks and wanting to get some ink done, just DO IT and take the drive to get your tattoos done at Julius Star. My friend came to town from far away. We set up an appointment for both of us to get tattoos with Shiloh way in advance. She was insanely helpful during the consultation and during our appointment. She was so great. She did not make us feel bad if we asked to tweak the design or placement a little and she let us enjoy our picnic dinner while she tattooed us. We both love our new tattoos. I will be going back to her. Also the shop is clean and well taken care of and all of the staff are friendly. We were talking to everyone and even other customer while we were there.

The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Shiloh tattooed me and my sisters tattoos and was super patient with us as it was both of our first tattoos. She did amazing work and explained all the aftercare afterwards. She even gave us her card to call her if we have any further questions. I definitely plan on coming back here for any future tattoos!

Harley did an amazing job piercing my nose. She was knowledgeable, reassuring, and most importantly, even though the piercing part was quick, I am a bleeder and she stayed with me until it was completely stopped and I was clean! She went over after care thoroughly and lrt me know I can always reach out with questions, concerns, and jewelry changes when I am ready!

Came in to get my septum pierced a few days ago on my birthday, and the staff was so kind and helpful. Shiloh did my piercing, and she was super helpful and made sure I knew what exactly she was doing before she did it. She didnt make me feel like I was an inconvenience when I asked for clarification on aftercare, and overall she was such a huge help; so nice and welcoming!Plus, the establishment has a dog named Blue! He was so nice and just a big old sweetheart! I plan on going back for my other piercings and tattoos once my septum heals fully. :)

This is the cleanest, most professional tattoo shop Ive ever been in. Artists are great and the owners are absolutely wonderful people. Ive got a Masters Degree Organizational Leadership and this shop is run to the highest degree. 10/10 would recommend for a first timer or anyone looking to continue adding to their art!

This is the place to go for piercings!My daughter wanted to get her ears pierced for her birthday and I had been wanting to get a third ear piercing done as well, so we went to Julius Star and Shiloh took excellent care of us! Everyone from the check-in to leaving were friendly and made us very comfortable. When my daughter got nervous between piercings, Shiloh even ran around the shop with her to get her jitters out and let her ask a lot of questions.About a month after we had our piercings done, one of my daughter’s backings was stuck deep into the skin (not anyone’s fault - she is 7 and had pressed it too tightly with a rubber backing behind it) and Shiloh and her assistant quickly got us in to have it removed, cleaned and replaced with one that would be better for her. We got a screw-on pair of earrings that allow for space but are secured on. Both of us were SO thankful for their gentleness, expertise and help!

My husband and I went in to get initial tattoos on our ring finger and we had the absolute best experience! Everyone in there is so friendly and helpful! Donnie was the one who did our tattoos and he was amazing! He is so nice and he does awesome work! While I was getting my tattoo the owner Jeff even came over to make sure I was doing ok since it was my first tattoo. This establishment is top notch and we will definitely be back!

Sam was amazing and knew exactly what she was doing. The guy at the front desk was also very friendly! The establishment was very clean and they even had Blu (the dog) delivering water to customers! I Will be going there again!!

What stuck out to me right away is that they missed my call and reached out to me in regards to what my call was concerning. After I asked them if they take walk-ins they told me to come right in! The atmosphere of the shop was amazing and everyone was very friendly. It was my first tattoo so I was super nervous. Donnie did my tattoo and he gave me exactly what I wanted and was super nice the entire time! Would definitely recommend and would make the 9 hour drive again to get another tattoo from here!!

Ive gotten 5 tattoos from them. Theyre great these are the ones I got this week! But they did the coordinates above 2 years ago. 2024 and Ive gotten a few more tattoos but also piercings. Haley has redone my lobes. Ear cartilage, anti tragus and my septum done. Great work. Almost painless.

She took her time setting up with an exceptional attention to detail and let her know what she was doing each step of the way. Got my nose pierced here by Summer! She did an awesome job! Was very sweet and courteous. Not bad on the price either. I end up losing my ring about last month and I came back because I couldnt remember the gage and they were helpful again!

What can I say by far the best tattoo experience and I have several. Shiloh Allen is an amazing tattoo artist and we collaborated so well and she listens and has an amazing eye for details. For my first professional tattoo, I went to Julius Star. My wife had been getting some ink done there, and I was impressed with the attention to detail and artistic ability that Ethan Clemmer possessed in creating her tattoo. I asked him to sketch one up for me of Joshua 1:9 as I really see how that scripture appeals to me and is prescient for the times in which we find ourselves. Let me just say: He Nailed It! It’s better than I even thought was possible for me. I highly recommend this immensely talented artist. He’s very, very good!

Everyone is so friendly here! The studio is clean, organized, well lit, & full of interesting art. Plus, there’s a dog! Greeted immediately, helped as soon as possible. Tonight I was pierced by Sam. She explained the whole process, showed me jewelry options, & made the whole experience really pleasant. She was relaxed, comfortable, & extremely personable. I forgot she was a stranger. Highly recommend!And if you’re looking for new ink, I can’t say enough positive things about Aaron Mountjoy & his talent! Some of my favorite tattoos were done by him & I hope to never use another artist.

Got my septum done there Thursday night and it was a wonderful experience! Everyone was super welcoming right off the bat and all of my questions and concerns were answered. They were very clean, and professional, and made sure that it was ultimately my choice on placement even after educating me. They also sell a cleaner for the piercings right at the cash register so that was super helpful :) 10/10, will definitely go back for more!

Upon entering the two ladies that were in the shop were very friendly and kind. Sam (piercer) she was super friendly and helpful. I took my daughter there for her first piercing and Sam was very thorough in informing her of everything she was going to do before she did it. She made my daughter feel very uncomfortable about getting her first piercing. I’ve never seen any piercer that I’ve been to go through the explanation process like she did. That also made me feel secure in what she was doing. I would return for a piercing for myself and when my daughter is ready to get her left nostril pierced I would take her there again.

My daughter and I have been there two weeks in a row now. The first time was for my 16 year old to have her belly button pierced by Sam. When I say this was an emotional experience bc of the way Sam treated and talked to my daughter, I couldn’t ask for a better place or person. Sam made every step clear and how it would happen and made sure my child was comfortable. Even with me in the room holding her hand, Sam spoke directly to my daughter and the importance of consent and respecting your own body. She even gave her a little fluffy to hold. I was in tears at the end of it all. As we were checking out I scheduled myself a tattoo appointment for the following week, Both of my daughters names on my arms and one for myself down my neck. Donny did an AMAZING job on all 3 pieces. He found the style of fonts I was looking for, he was kind and made sure I was comfortable. I will never go anywhere else. So very thankful for this business and how they treat people. It’s inspiring.

We took our 4 year old granddaughter to get her ears pierced. Sam was so gentle and caring and understanding and even supplied cleaning the area that was pierced education. What a great experience. One of the tattoo artists Donnie even talked to us about a highly meaningful tattoo Im considering getting ready to get with the upmost respect. Our family of seven girls went to get tattoos together and they were so helpful and accommodating for our group. We did have an under age little girl that kind of wanted to be along with us so they gave her a temporary tattoo which was awesome. We all love our tattoos the work was so awesome.

Sam is one of the best piercers I have ever had. She is kind, and very funny. All the staff in there are very friendly and they will make sure you are taking care of. Yesterday I turned 65 and decided the day before that I wanted to get my first tattoo!I wanted to get a heart shape because I have a big heart for my family & friends. I went to Vision for this piece that meant the world to me and he didn’t disappoint me!! I lost my dad back and May…all he talked about was wanting to go fishing when he got back home from the hospital….unfortunately he didn’t get to come home!!! Vision’s work has to be the best I have seen come out from this small town! Highly recommend!! 10/10 for sure!!!

Thought I’d give the piercing a try the apprentice was learning I get that… however your supposed to watch and approve said piercings at the supervisor. Not only did the daith for me go wrong and blood everywhere and in my clothes but my daughter’s tongue piercing was so far back it was ridiculous she had to take it out. They offered for me to come back and have it done once it heals, nope!Tattoo side of the operation seems to be alright. The two different kinds of music both blaring wasn’t that great. Rotate playlists at that point.

Was able to get an appointment really quickly. Had scheduled with one artist, but Donnie took great care of me! Very professional and made sure I had no questions and that I was happy with the template placement before he started. He checked on me several times to make sure I was OK. Price was reasonable for the time and prep. I will definitely have him tattoo me again!

I came in to get a replacement ball for my septum ring and was helped super quickly, Sam gave me an internally threaded ball she doesn’t typically use but had on hand free of cost. Everyone at the shop was incredibly sweet and professional. A great environment and will be returning for a tat or piercing in the future, thank y’all ❤️

Ethan did an amazing job with my cover up tattoo, I showed him a reference photo and he made it even better! Sam pierced my helix on both ears, she did a great job at calming me down and walking me through the process. Sam did a great job, I came in to switch a belly ring in for a longer bar bc there was no room for swelling. Sam willingly helped me bout and went into depth of what would happen to the piercing if I had kept it in. She also went in depth and gave me some background about the jewelry itself. I definitely recommend going to her, she did a great job!!

The shop has a very inviting atmosphere, everyone there is kind and helpful and the owners Jeff and Jenna are totally awesome. Shiloh offered me a coffee, water, soda, even a blanket/pillow if I was chilly! She did an absolutely AMAZING job on my tattoo. She was extremely patient with me as I nit-picked all the minute details and made double sure I liked the placements/details, allowing room for additional work to be added in the future. I decided on a Sunday to go get my nose pierced. Cheyenne squeezed me in right in front of a tattoo she was starting! She took her time to clean the area well, explained everything about the process and care, and made sure the site was cleaned up completely before I looked at it. I would definitely go back to her for another piercing!

I got my lip repierced and Im so glad I came here to get this done! I was offered soda and water while waiting and everyone had such great humor. I got pierced by Sam. Sam was so careful and precise with me, which is so rare to find. She took time to make sure it was lined up perfectly so that I wouldnt get a new scar. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time instead of rushing the process. At first I was nervous, but Sam made sure I was calm and ready before she continued anything. Sam was amazing! She’s incredibly professional with a great sense of honor that helped ease my nerves. My stepdaughter went first, getting both tragus pierced. There was a bit of a struggle with the second but Sam took it all in stride ensuring it all went smoothly! I called Julius Star Tattoo around 4pm today my appointment was scheduled for 6pm. When I arrived I was greeted by two individuals before I got to the counter. The business was very clean, they offered me drinks while I waited. The individuals I spoke with were very professional, the atmosphere was very welcoming and the initial paperwork process was quick. Ben was very professional along with the young lady that assisted him during my piercing. The both of them made me feel comfortable and safe. Do Not Waste Your Money!3 months ago we went there to get a large back tattoo design done... 3. Months. Ago. This was going to cost us thousands of dollars to get his whole back done. Was ready to pay it. Paid 200$ down for the deposit and to get the design. Nothing.... I would not recommend going there. They had us sign something that we wouldnt get our deposit back because it would go towards our appt for the application of the tattoo. Real convenient that I cant get to said appt because we have no design. Still. 😡 dont waste your money on this place. We went to see another artist 2 WEEKS AGO in the area and they already have a design back to us and they are BUSY.

I went to get my nose pierced today. I walked in super nervous because I didn’t know what it would feel like. When I went to the back, Sam made me laugh straight away. She made me feel super comfortable and it helped calm my nerves. She let me go at my own pace and didn’t rush me at all. She talked me through the actual piercing and made sure I was okay along the way. After the piercing I started crying and she consoled me like I was her own blood. It made me feel so much better not only about the piercing, but also about other things going on in my life. Such a sweet soul.

I got my first tattoo done by Mike tonight. Im so happy. My tattoo looks great. The shop was clean and they had good music playing the whole time I was there. I came across Julius Star when searching for a place to get my first tattoo. All staff were welcoming and extremely nice. I called to book an appointment and they were able to fit me in that day even though they were booked. Mike was my tattoo artist and he did a remarkable job making sure everything was in order and my tattoos came out to be amazing. Btw, hes also hilarious!! I came in with a design I created and Mike was able to size it perfectly and make necessary adjustments. The whole experience was fun and comfortable and I will definitely be coming back for more! I went to Julius Star Tattoo shop today and absolutely loved the experience. When you walk in there is always someone there to greet you with a smile, and even offer refreshments. The setup is nice, and the shop is very clean. The assistant apprentice did an amazing job with my eyebrow piercing. He was funny, kind, caring, careful and made my experience as painless as possible. He even comforted my friend when she was freaking out. Lol. 10000000% recommend!! and I am definitely going back.Went back to Julius Star Tatto Gallery and once again the experience was amazing!! I came in just for jewelry and still had a great time. The owner Jeff was helpful and kind in every way possible, trying the best he could to make us feel comfortable. I plan to go back to get my chest finished and I know that the experience will be wonderful then too!! I strongly recommend going to Julius Star Tattoo Gallery, you will definitely have a great experience as well!

My friend and I went in for a nose piercing and ear piercing about 30 mins before they closed, not usually that person, but we didnt know, and they still took us! The piercer was nice, clean, quick and I barely felt any pain. They also gave us a discount for our piercings! Rewind to today, we went back so I could get a replacement nose ring and the owner gave it to me for free! Todays my birthday too! Greatly appreciate these guys! Will definitely be back!

Julius Star Tattoo is absolutely amazing! I went in for a walk-in tongue piercing and left with a great piercing and a great experience. Ben was super funny, helped me relax, and was very helpful with all my questions. The beautiful lady at the front desk was absolutely delightful. So very sweet and ready to help. She offered me refreshments almost immediately after making sure I was taken care of for my request. They also have so many different selections for jewelry! I will most definitely be back for my tattoo and piercing needs!

The staff is amazing!! Shop is always clean & in tiptop shape . SAM is the best to go to for anything . Shes done 3 of my tattoos & pierced my tongue for me !! Definitely will be back to see her for my next tattoo 🤞🤞❣️

Had my lip pierced at another studio a month ago but lost the ball to my hoop and it kept falling out. I went to Julius to buy another piece of jewelry to put in it. Sam, the piercer, asked me what was going on and we talked about different options for a replacement. She ended up changing it out for me. I’m happy she did because let’s face it, I would’ve struggled with it. Staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Will definitely visit them in the future.

Mad Mike did an awesome job on two of my tattoos I am in love with them. Danielle also killed my Alice in Wonderland tattoo. You want a banging tattoo trust me go to Julius Star worth it and you wont be disappointed. The staff is super friendly and nice. Clean atmosphere and they make sure you feel comfortable.

I absolutely love going here to get my tattoos. I just got my second one done by Mad Mike and it’s amazing just like the first one! The shop itself is always very clean, neat, and inviting! Everyone who works there is so helpful and nice! I recommend all my friends to go here. I’ve already booked an appointment to get my third tattoo there. I really feel like everyone there cares about my vision and also me as a person not just as a customer!

Had a tattoo appointment with Shiloh and it went super well. Not only is she a great artist but she also is super chill which made the appointment even more enjoyable. Definitely recommend going here!

They were all very nice and professional as soon as I walked in the door, offered me water and soda, and they were able to accommodate my walk-in. They were all very excited by the design I brought, especially my artist, Dave. He is very skilled and was very professional and his workstation was clean and hygenic. My tattoo took just over two hours and was a very reasonable price, and I love it so much, and the dog, Blue, was doing a wonderful job passed out on the floor.

We had Sam help us and she was not only amazing she gave us the BEST service. She took the time to explain everything in advance, including aftercare to include making sure I didnt accidentally hurt myself without thinking about how I do things now with my new piercings.

My fiancé and I both got tattooed by Aaron. If you have any type of doubt of where to go I strongly encourage you to go to Julius Star tattoo studio. This studio is incredible and I don’t write this review lightly. I have been to several tattoo shops and never have I felt immediately welcomed from the very nice phone call from wife of this studio to tell us that we were more than welcome to come by sooner to get our appointments started to the very talented tattoo artist Aaron listening to what we wanted and being genuinely interested in fulfilling our wants for our tattoos. He is very light handed very professional and proud of his work and his job. He kept every conversation light and fun and did everything in his power to make sure you as a client is comfortable in every aspect. You can tell he truly loves what he does and where he is at. He is definitely a outstanding addition to this wonderful group of people. This studio is run by a great husband and wife ( I don’t remember their names) who are two of the best business owners I’ve had the pleasure of meeting as well as their shop dog Bluey. I live in West Virginia but I will save every tattoo I have for this shop because Aaron is such a talented individual as well as everyone in this shop. Julius star in Elizabeth city is amazing! I missed my initial appointment and even though i wrote it wrong on my calendar and walked in on the wrong day they got me rescheduled as quickly as possible. Jeff and the front staff are always there to greet you with a smiling face and a helping hand. Everyone there is always personable and friendly. They went above and beyond by calling me and letting me know they were running behind on my reschedule and made sure everyone who needed to be there for my appointment stayed late to get me finished up. Ben has been my artist for 2 tattoos here and I will continue to go back as both of his pieces are beautiful and high quality work compared to other shops I have gotten tattoos at. He also has a great personality and makes you feel comfortable for the whole experience. Very cleanly and professional all around. The whole staff always make sure you have refreshments feel welcome and are just really awesome people. Overall extremely satisfied with julius star and will not go anywhere else.

I would by far recommend Julius Star to ANYONE! They definitely deserve more than just 5 stars. They worked me in last minute and done an AMAZING job. I am in love with the work. Aaron is a phenomenal artist! This entire piece was freehand! The atmosphere was amazing and everyone was extremely professional, friendly, and very accommodating. I will definitely be flying back out to the shop any time I need work done.

I would just like to say, if you need a tattoo of any type, being a cover up or a first or just to get one in general, this is the place to go. Very friendly, inviting people, they take their time out to make sure you are prepared for everything and that you have all details regarding your tattoo. I got my cover up by Mad Mike and it was one of the best experiences I have had. I love my tattoo and it turned out better than I expected and it wasnt an easy one either but this man did a wonderful job. I came in to this amazingly themed tattoo shop off a burst decision to get an ear piercing. I had no idea that I would be coming back to the shop later that night to get a tattoo. I can not even explain to you how incredibly kind everyone is. Very outgoing and generous! I was talked through the whole mesmerizing experience. The BEAUTIFUL lady at the front (Jenna) was so incredibly sweet and helped us through the process whilst explaining the process of our visit. Jeff (the owner) was exceptional at encouraging our ideas and showed us an arrangement of options for what we could do! He was also so very kind and knowledgeable. Ben (the piercer ) was very funny and made the process of an ear piercing go by very quickly and in an extremely clean manner. We really enjoyed him! MIKE (the tattoo artist) stayed late after closing so that he could get to our whole group and was so fun to talk to!! He made everything so much less scary. This is honestly the best tattoo/ piercing shop that I have ever been in. I love the people and their work. Would drive 10 hours to come back here 😊😊😊 ALSO VERY AFFORDABLE!!

I got tattooed my Erin over the weekend and wow was I impressed! The whole staff and artists were so nice and very professional. They paid close attention to detail and made sure I ended up with a tattoo that I was happy with. The amount of detail Erin put in was phenomenal and I will absolutely be returning for my future tattoos. I highly recommend!!

The staff here are amazing. My daughter got her first piercing at 18 and they explained to her the ins and outs. We was welcomed and treated like family. They have a very sterile environment. I loved the care they put into each client. I cant wait to get the rest of my tattoos here.

I got my nose pierced for the first time and It was great. I walked in really nervous but Sam made me feel really comfortable. She talked me through everything and let me know how everything was going to happen. She makes sure everything thing is clean and safe to use. Sam is really nice and caring. I loved this experience and would 100% recommend.
