Had a GREAT experience today! Super comfortable atmosphere. Tattoo is freshly done. One of the least painful tattoos I have ever gotten! Travis was awesome for my husbands first tattoo as well.

I have been going to Mike for years and have always been nothing but satisfied. Always a great time and experience and the tattoos he produces are nothing but amazing. Hes always wanting to make sure you get exactly what you want and that you will be happy with it for years to come. He is a great guy and an amazing artist

I hesitated posting this because i actually got this tattoo done a few years back as a birthday present to myself when i turned 18. i believe a family friend told me the tattoo artist that did this design is no longer with us, but i could be wrong. i got this tattoo in 2021 and immediately knew it wouldn’t stand the test of time. aside from the fact that this tattoo has been the only one that excessively bled out of the 13 i now have, i didn’t sign any paperwork (red flag but i also had never had one before), no id check and this was done in 3 minutes. i just wish i would have done the appropriate research before making this decision because ive had to look at the blown out bits for years with some other artists not wanting to fix it because it wasn’t theirs to begin with 😔 i loved the environment and the other artists were so nice but unfortunately the quality is far from what the result was supposed to be (thin & dainty).

Husband had his first experience today and really liked the work. Thanks Greg for making his first great! We shall be returning.

Travis is amazing at what he does, and has been so helpful in helping me pick colors and placement for my artwork. The entire staff is wonderful and I absolutely love the atmosphere! 10/10 would highly recommend!

I’ve met A LOT of people who tattoo but very few that are artists. Mike is amazing at what he does, today he completed a cover up that left everyone else shaking their heads. My big blob on my arm that I’ve hated for 2 years is no more and I’m in love with what he did. He is so pleasant, respectful and professional and I would 1,000 times over recommend him!!

Met with Mike with an idea for some ink. He was fantastic. He gave great suggestions and answered all my questions. Will be scheduling the 1st of a few sittings shortly.Mike absolutely nailed my tattoo. Great artist and one hell of a man!I highly recommend him.

There are three other tattoo artist available as well if Mike is booked up, such as: Travis and the tattoo Legend himself, Greg James and David James.Walk-ins are welcome Monday- Thursday from 10am to 6pm for Mike and Travis.Inquire with Greg or David for their pricing and tattoo hours. Greg james and David will be tattooing now, on SATURDAYS, starting at 11 am to 6pm: asking for pricing.Dont call the shop because youll most likely get the answering machine, just come in and check the list at the front counter or with the artist for availability for your ink therapy session.Make sure to put your name on the list, it fills up fast, so you can get tattooed. Make sure you eat b4 you get inked.Its worth the drive to Elizabeth city. Enjoy!

Awesome atmosphere, great tattoo artists and reasonable prices. They did have one chick there that messed up my daughters own design and Mike said he would fix it. Thank God shes not there anymore. And I recently got my son a tattoo for his birthday, and he loved it! I definitely recommend going here,. You wont be sorry.

Amazing atmosphere mike makes you feel at home. Helps you every step of the way and always makes you feel comfortable about what you are getting and the whole process. His work is amazing but if you dont believe me stop by and talk to him your self he will win you over with is personality and his art work. He truly is talented.

I don’t even know where to start. Mark was my artist and he was very nice and friendly, but I am very disappointed with how my butterfly tattoo came out. It’s filled with shaky lines and it’s not symmetrical at all. My cousin and I wanted to get matching butterflies, but we both were very disappointed with our results. Now I have an awful tattoo on my body and I have to figure what to do with it. The snake came out much very and I’m happy with it. However there is still many imperfections with both tattoos.

Love this place and weve been only once. They take walk ins and make you feel welcome. The place is very clean and professional looking. Id recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great tattoo!

Mike was able to touch up and really smooth out some lettering from a previous tattoo. He also did this cardinal as a to my daughters December birthday, very, very pleased with the work, professionalism, and dedication Mike provided. I would recommend him 100%

Mike and his team are absolutely incredible! Very fair prices, top notch quality and attention to detail, and they make you feel very welcome and at ease. They are well worth the drive from Hampton Roads, VA to save a boat load of money and be treated as a valued customer rather than just another paycheck!

Came in for a cover-up and honestly havent been more satisfied with a tattoo... Mike is amazing super nice, patient and just all around good guy..definitely coming back for my next. NO appointments if you want a tat get there early but well worth the wait..

This tattoo shop is absolutely amazing. If you stop by here, ask for Mike and he will definitely set you up. He has amazing prices for your tattoos, and he is not one to rip you off on your money. Hes open and honest and will definitely do his best to help you out. Hes an amazing artist, very patient with his work and will talk to you about anything just to keep any conversation going. It says they open at 11 and it is “first come first serve” and you sign up on a piece of paper, however they unlock doors before. Get there early. When I got there, at 11, multiple people had already scheduled. Somehow a group of people had an appointment with Travis. Didn’t know that was possible as “first come first serve” Waited couple of hours to get a call, never did. I went back inside and the owner said “I’ve been meaning to call you”, never got a tattoo as they were booked up, before they opened. Wasted my time.

1 year ago today, my brother and I got our first tattoos, in honor of my mom. Mike was fantastic, and did an amazing job. He had us wait, and made us his last customers, so that he could put all of his heart into them! We are so grateful!

How to start?Well Mike is not only a rock star tattoo artist, but her is a great guy. Dont know what outshine what, the size of the mans heart or his skills with that gun. Being from the Virginia beach area, its a little over an hour drive. You may ask if it was worth it? It was and I will be doing it again.Most the time when you get with a tattoo artist, its about getting you done fast as possible. He treats you like a long lost friend, the conversation just flows. Mike is seriously the best. My grandad has gone there for many of his tattoos and I have gone there for both of mine. His shop is very professional and very clean. He is also very popular due to his great work and normally operates on a first come first serve basis, that being said I advise you to be there as soon as they open to put your name on the waiting list. Mike made me feel extremely comfortable, even letting us take a break when it started to get to painful. He is a very busy guy however he does not rush through his tattoos.

Mike has done two of my pieces. My very first ink in honor of my late son and my third piece he helped me come up with incorporating a number of my favorite things. I dont know about his other artists currently but I can tell you his shop is clean and Mike himself is a super cool guy and a badass artist. I recently moved from La back to where I grew up and plan on having him do my next piece when money permits. Super proud of you Mike!

What a great experience! We were let in early and Mike explained the tattoo needle/gun to my dad and brother. Both were getting their first tattoo. Gave us history of the art and Mike was interested in our history. We will be back!

Best tattoo shop in Northeast North Carolina. Mike Omara is not your typical artist. His laid back personality will make anybody chill, and his artwork is amazing. Over 20 years of tattooing under his belt, and it shows!

Tat guy is incredible and polite! i felt very comfortable and then my tat didnt hurt! he was very gentle and very professional! found my permanent tattoo artist! Recently transferred to the air station and wanted to get my family crest tattoo so I stopped by. It is a first come first serve walk in. The guy Mike was overwhelmed with how many people showed up on a Saturday afternoon/evening. These 2 girls walked, one was obviously pregnant, and one of the girls new Mike. They immediately went in front of the whole waiting list. They both wanted matching fox tattoos and mentioned they were sisters. I was next in line and when they got their matching tattoos, Mike used paper towels instead of bandages which is a red flag to me and also he only accepts cash, which made me suspicious. I left soon after.

Been getting tattooed by Mike for many years. He is extremely professional and a one of a kind artist. His shop and staff are super clean. Would highly recommend you pay him and his staff a visit.

He did my late sons Tattoo October 2017 and I was very Leary on just anyone doing this because it had to be perfect ... I Highly recommend Omara because it wasnt just a tattoo for him, he took it personal and pride in his work... search no longer for the best. He tattoos with skill and respect ...
