Ricks Tattoos

10/10 experience today at Rick’s. My tattoo artist was Bricks and he was both professional and respectful. I came into the shop liking different parts of two different drawing inspirations, and with his creativity and expertise he crafted a beautiful and unique tattoo for me. Bricks is the real deal while also being very kind and genuine, and we are already talking about my next big piece. Thanks to everyone at Rick’s for being awesome! Cant wait to come back.

I lost my brother in war and wanted to remember him by tattooing his name on my arm, a very simple request and they messed it up. Now my tattoo has blown far out of the lines, and it looks constantly bruised. I went back a few weeks later and spoke to the manager. She told me there wasnt anything she could do about it and that is the risk you take when you get a tattoo. I will never go back there again, because of their unprofessional and callused behavior.

Absolutely love this place! I have been going here ever since I moved to America and I could never see myself at another tattoo shop. The people are so nice and funny and they really create an amazing environment. If you go regularly and get to know them they will also get to know you and always ask how youre doing which makes it feel very homey and comfortable even when getting stabbed by needles (which is always worth it). cant wait to go back for my next tattoo already and hopefully get a piece from every artist there because every single one is so talented. (most artists speak both english and spanish if thats a worry)These are just a few of the many beautiful pieces I have gotten: (the match by Bricks, the moth by Keani, the shark tooth by Rob, and the sword/dagger by zeus).

My first tattoo went really well, I walked in with a friend around 6 to get a small matching set and we were both out by 7! The tattoos we got were really tiny and I’d recommend making an appointment if you want anything bigger or more complicated but I had a great experience. I’d definitely go back!

Had a wonderful weekend with my niece and great niece. We visited Ricks and all got tattoos….they are so beautiful. The artists are amazing and so helpful. We now have a memory that will last us a lifetime!

I’ve been back to Rick’s 4 times and been tattooed by Troy each time. He’s been very professional and does great work, I’ll definitely continue going back. The entire staff is very friendly and very helpful. Head to Rick’s if you’re considering a new tattoo.

The girl on front desk should learn some manners and pay attention to her personal hygiene 🪥. I got an attitude for asking why am I charged before the procedure? This is my second time here and first time I paid after the procedure as usual, I guess. Simple question made the girl on front desk🤯. Goshhhhh

Zak and Ben are such great artists (Ive gotten my tattoos from them, Im sure everyone else there is amazing.) Half my tattoos now are from this place - the prices, quality of art, and vibe of the place all keep me coming back. Absolutely recommend!(P.S: if youre looking to save money, a permanent piece of art on your body is probably not the place to be looking for something cheap. Quality wins!)

I went to Zak a couple weeks ago for a walk-in tattoo. He was extremely professional and able to draw up the tattoo I wanted. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a tattoo. This is a great shop!

Hands Down Bricks is one of the best artists in the DMV!!! Extremely creative and very professional!

I came in with a request I was not expecting to be fulfilled and they came through! I wanted a small white cross on my wrist. I came in knowing why it’s a bad idea for most people and I came in still wanting it. They explained the problems with getting a white tattoo and especially getting it that small. This was my first tattoo and after it was done they even gave me instructions on how to care for it while it was healing. They were super quick and knowledgeable. Seeing some of the tattoos that they were doing on others they have some extremely talented artists. Could not recommend them enough.

Hands down the best experience I could have ever hoped for! My Mama has wanted a tattoo for years and she finally found THE tattoo to tell her story. I did my research before choosing Ricks. Amy was an absolute delight and patient as my Mama explained her tattoo and worked through her nerves. Amy answered all of our questions and the design was breathtaking! Amy took my idea and used her creative gift to give me what I was looking for. I will be a repeat customer!

Zak was AMAZING! one of the best tattooing experiences ive had. the lines are clean and i was so happy to have Zak for my first traditional tattoo. Kriszta did amazing on my boyfriends line red panda tattoo! she is truly very talented and even though shes an apprentice, shes going to make a very good tattoo artist. if were ever in the area again, we will definitely be coming back for more!

Zak was so amazing! I was a walk in and got my first tattoo. I was super nervous and he truly put me at ease. He made me feel super comfortable throughout the entire process and made it super quick and easy! I could have asked for a better first experience!!

I walked in with no consultation and was taken immediately, Ben Krist did my tattoo and was awesome. In and out in 30 minutes with a sweet new palm tree tattoo on my forearm! Highly recommend!

Rick’s tattoos did an awesome job on my tats and my boys cover up. I had Troy do my tattoo and everything came out perfect and quick. The gentleman in the front taking the people information was cool. Over all good experience.If you are wondering how much they charge, they go based on a “Hand size comparison” chart, which starts from a small tattoo, the size of half a palm would be $100 & then it go up from there as the size gets bigger. Ex : $150, $200, $250… etcThis spot has parking and it’s cash ONLY. So bring a stack of money 😂.

Rick’s Tattoos is awesome. Zak Warren did a fantastic job on my first tattoo EVER, and I absolutely love it. And Zak. And Rick’s. Best experience I could have imagined. (And since I took 41 years to get my nerve up to do this, I’ve imagined a TON.) I could not be happier with it. The lines are beautifully clear and crisp, and the execution is exactly what I wanted in every way. I love it and will definitely go back when/if I ever decide on another one.My husband had a similarly great experience with a more senior artist there, Ben Krist. His tattoo is a larger and extremely intricate geometric line design, with overlapping circles and tons of detailed symmetry that required serious tattoo artist skills to pull off. I actually thought it was crazy to even try. But Ben did it perfectly. These guys are good.I don’t have personal experience with the other artists there, but all seem to get rave reviews across the board. You can call ahead to discuss artists and appointment options if you want, or just walk-in anytime and sign in at the desk (just like you might do at a nail salon). I know I asked them lots of questions, on the phone and in the shop, and they were very helpful and happy to answer them every time. (Or at least they pretended to be happy, which works just as well for me. :))Yay for Rick’s.

I’ve gotten three of my five tattoos here—two small relatively simple walk-ins and one pre-scheduled bigger piece. I am VERY happy with the bigger piece, it is my favorite of all of my tattoos and I frequently get comments on how beautiful it is. The other two are good, as well though both have very minor little errors (one has a slight smudge/bump and the other which is mostly a circle, is not actually a perfect circle—one of the sides is a little thicker and protrudes a tiny bit) BUT these are super small basically unnoticeable things that no one besides the person who has them on their body all the time or maybe a tattoo artist would even notice. I will mention that once when I was in there, I talked to one of the artists about a touch-up on one of these minor errors I saw and he told me that they would do touch ups on pieces they originally did at no cost which is really nice. Haven’t gone back for that because I don’t really care that much lol but it’s good to know! I would say that if you want a simple easy quick walk-in and are okay with the possibility of tiny almost unnoticeable glitches, this is a good choice. I definitely recommend it for bigger pieces where the artist has more time with the idea beforehand to plan it out. All the artists I have worked with there are really friendly and talented and it’s a comfortable, easy, fun place to be. Pricing is very reasonable too. I definitely recommend it and will likely go back at some point for another piece.

Amy did a beautiful cover up Sunflower piece on my back. I was very pleased with the tattoo, and she seemed very nice. She told me to contact her once it was done healing so we could touch it up. She never contacted me back. Its been a few months now and still no response. I planned to come back here for my future art, but customer service is really important. Overall the tattoo is great, besides needing some touching up. She was nice and professional when doing my tattoo.

I have gotten a few tattoos at Ricks. All of them were done by Amy X. She is great and the work looks like it did the day it was done.I also have gotten work from Troy Brett, he just like Amy is an amazing artist and does great work. Everyone there is great and they are all willing to help with any questions you may have. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a tattoo or piercing.update from my 3 year old review-Everything is still fantastic, two half sleeves working on full sleeves by Troy and everyone there is still as fantastic and friendly as the first day I entered. I loved my Ramones tattoo of Dee Dee! Troy did a great job, a punk rock enthusiast as well. Played some great Ramones songs through the whole experience so it was a fun experience. He has a punk rock band too so I’d check em out. Cool dude. If you want a music tattoo, cartoon style I’d recommend him. He was psyched. Thanks Troy!

Ive now gotten two tattoos at Ricks and Ive always been happy with my experience. The prices are extremely reasonable and both tattoos have come out better than some Ive gotten at other places.My husband and I got tattoos on Valentines Day as a walk-in and we were able to be seen relatively quickly. Zak, while being on the newer side as far as experience goes, only a few years under his belt, he did some incredibly clean work. His lines are perfect and it was awesome seeing how much dimension he was able to achieve with his shading.My biggest problem with this place is parking. My husband drives a big truck and when there isnt available parking in the tiny lot behind the building, it is difficult to turn around to actually leave the lot. However, being in such close proximity to DC, it isnt enough of an issue to ding this place for it. I will certainly be coming back for more.

Went in for my septum piercing and wow! A lot of work has been done to update the shop. The staff was so friendly and extremely nice. Blake did my piercing and I just had a great experience. He explained everything, the room was clean and welcoming. Highly recommend them. Ive had several tats done here and Amy (one of the artist) is working on drafting my sleeve now.

Cant say enough good things about this shop.. every artist in this shop is very talented - Ive been tattooed by 3 different folks here and always loved the result. If you want to get something small, just walk in - they take walk ins and if they cant fit you in, theyll help you schedule an appointment easily. Dont waste their time and they wont waste yours! They have tons of awesome flash if you simply want to pick something off the wall, and theyre flexible and creative with your requests/whatever you bring them. If a particular artist isnt able/interested in doing your request, he/she will find someone else in the shop better suited for it. You will be in good hands as soon as you walk through the door. This place has a great reputation for a reason - I would trust any artist at Ricks, even sight unseen, given their standards for quality. Ive gotten 8 tattoos (and counting) here.

Awesome experience, great staff, great art and will 100% be going back to Keani for my next tattoo. went at 10 on a saturday morning and had no wait for a custom tat! definitely check this place out for a safe, quality, beautiful tattoo!!

Absolute killer tattoos here. Make an appointment, period. Troy has done all of mine and my wifes and now my daughters first. His work is exceptional. Lines, points, etc. You wont be disappointed.

It was a really clean environment. Everyone was very professional. They had lots of tattoos and jewelry to choose from. We were lucky to have the owner himself do my daughters nose piercing. He was AWESOME! He was very informative and answered questions. He told us what to expect and to call if we had any questions about the piercing. Over a week later my daughter was nervous about the healing process. She called and good an immediate answer. They werent even bothered by her inquiry and told her to call anytime she had any concerns.... The most comfortable experience a mom can have! Thanks guys!

Everyone was very nice, my tattoo turned out exactly how I wanted, and they are thorough with the initial consultation and the aftercare. I couldnt be happier about my experience. The piercing studio downstairs is also stellar!

I love my first tattoo. The process was really easy from appointment scheduling to designing to the actual inking. Zak Warren did an amazing job and I’m so happy. When I decide to get another one done, this is definitely the place and person I’m going to.

Never had a bad experience!Been coming to Ricks on n off since 2005.Usually I have the pleasure of dealing with Amy(crazy popular artist!).This time around, had a pleasant chap by the name of Ben.Did a star cluster on my left wrist.Im very pleased with the work he did.He was very personable. Very pleasant. I would definitely consider him in the future for a possible next piece!

Really disappointed in Ricks today. This was the 4th tattoo I’ve gotten there, 1st for my daughter. We won’t be back. Waited 4 hours with minimal interaction from staff. Should have walked out at the 2 hour mark but had been panning this for a long time and daughter was home from college for the weekend. Finally got in the chair and the artist was led than pleasant and acted pretty put out. Disappointing.

Clean shop, awesome people, and great conversation while getting a small sprig of lavender for scar cover-up. I was a walk-in and it was my second tattoo, but Im definitely only coming back to here.Update as of 5/17: another floral watercolor design! Tara did the one from last review, and the other day Amy did a beautiful rhododendron. She pulled out this perfectly sized and soft looking design from my really vague ideas. Took some time to get there but she was persistent and flexible with me! Even with two different artists the pieces go together cohesively. These two pieces mean so much to me, this shop is truly the best!Update 4/2019: Another watercolor plant! Got their shirt this time too. Over the past year I continue to get compliments on my pieces from here.

LOVE IT HERE. I had Chauna do a simple deathly hallows tattoo on the inside of my hip. It was quick and painless. The lines are perfectly straight. She was incredibly helpful and friendly. I came in as a walk-in knowing what tattoo I wanted but not what size or where I wanted it. We talked about the pros and cons of all of the options. She was so sweet and understanding about any reservations I had. During the tattooing process she maintained conversation and we figured out that her main artistic interest aligns with my next tattoo interest. She showed me examples of that style and told me to contact her any time to start talking about it. I will definitely be going back here.

I had a really wonderful experience with Tara. She was very patient and very kind. We placed my tattoo about five different places on my back before I was satisfied with its placement - I was honestly very specific with what I wanted and she was very accommodating to all my requests. Shes definitely the friendliest person in the shop. I highly recommend her for any first timers or those a little on edge about getting your ink down.

Troy brett did all 4 of my tattoos over the past 3 months, such an amazing guy. was flexible with my design and put the highest care in effort into my piece, the whole studio was extremely clean and the front desk people were extremely kind and helpful. definitely going back for future tattoos

My dad and I decided to get matching tattoos, and we chose Ricks after reading wonderful reviews. When we walked in, everyone was very friendly and attentive, Chauna was our artist, and she was easy to talk to and very helpful, she sat with us and we talked about options and ideas. She tool her time and did a great job, we are very happy with the end result, we would definitely recommend Ricks to anyone looking to get quality ink work and friendly service. Ricks location is in an older building, making it somewhat of a landmark, but the building is in good condition and very clean work areas. although we were walk ins and were the last ones to leave, we werent rushed at all, well definitely be returning for any future body art work!!Briana and Antonio

I went in two days ago for my birthday because I really wanted a studio level tattoo rather than little stick-n-pokes and I had such an amazing experience! The receptionist was super kind and helpful with the questions I had, as it was my first tattoo so I came into a very welcoming environment. Chauna was my artist for the big day and she is an absolute angel, she was so sweet and she seemed so happy to be doing my first tattoo. She made me feel so comfortable and answered any little questions I had while she was working, her linework is incredible and she just made my first tattoo experience the best it could have been. Im currently saving up more so when I get my next tattoo, I can set an appointment up with her!

I have gotten four tattoos from Try Brett and I love them. Ricks Tattoo Studio is an amazing parlor, clean and organized. Each time I have been, they never fail to impress with the artistry, environment and service. great studio.

Even though some reviews might say its overpriced, from all Ive seen, its actually one of the best prices for the area. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The walls are full of designs for those that have an idea, but dont know exactly what they want, and their staff has a few amazing artists that can draw up what you have in mind in case you do know. All of the artists are excellent at what they do, but Ben was the artist assigned to me today. The work of art now on my body is perfect. I couldnt have asked for more. It might have been a little more than I was expecting to pay, but all in all, I couldnt have asked for more!

Been wanting to get a tat in memory of my grandparents but was nervous because it means so much (not to mention it’s been 18 years since my last!). They welcomed us and were very friendly. Amy made me feel comfortable and did a great job! Brought a tear to my eyes!

Amy and Chauna have both done tattoos for me here, and both are amazing! This place hires the best folks. They are safe and professional. Theres a reason theyve been around for almost 40 years! Highly recommend.

I contacted one of the artists, Troy, via email for my custom tattoo (a circus tornado half sleeve). We scheduled an appointment about two weeks later when he had availability and he measured my arm and we chatted about what the tattoo would have on it. He didn’t have any openings til the next month which I was fine with, but then he emailed me an hour before the appointment to cancel and refund my deposit. I was extremely disappointed that he couldn’t find a way “to make it work”. I emailed him back expressing my frustration with the situation and asked for a recommendation for another artist.Was very disappointed as I had heard such positive reviews about Rick’s. I have since found another artist.

Amy and Zac are great. I havent had extended interactions with other members of the staff, but Im thrilled with the customer service, quality of work, and price here. The artists are talented and there seems to be a good balance of walk-in ready artists and scheduled artists. There is a real reason that this place is close to celebrating 40 years. I wont go anywhere else in the DMV area.

First time getting a tatoo and recommended by my sister! So glad I traveled from TN for this gem. I can’t remember my artists name, but he was wonderful! Calmed my nerves, very professional, explained the process the whole time and had a killer playlist! Definitely going back next trip up. THANK YOU!!

It was my 3rd time going to Ben and getting work done. Real cool dude and good art work. Clean nice shop and friendly people...but EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. I was charged $200 for a small black rose and A little shading on my leg. Ben told me it would take 30-45 minutes for everything....I know $100-$150 per hour is reasonable price...but $200 for 30 minutes of work is a RIP OFF. I will not be returning back...you lost a loyal customer.

I got my nosed pierced, by Craig, and he did a great job. I was pretty nervous and he did a great job of explaining the process, and getting me to calm down. I would definitely recommend this place to someone, and have a place in mind for any tattoos.I dont have too much experience with tattoo places, so I dont k ow if this is the norm, but its cash only. Theres a pretty good chance that I missed that note if it was on the site, but no need to fear...there is an ATM inside.

I had a really bad experience in this Place. Troy did a really bad job with my tattoo. On the picture you can see what I asked for vs what I got. When I send him a message on Instagram telling him that I dont like the tattoo he blocked me. I went to the shop and he assured that the tattoo was perfect. In addition the price ($200) was too high for 2in ×4in tattoo which took about 15 minutes to have it done. They refused to give me a refund or to give a solution to my problem. I would never recommend to get a tattoo with TROY!

It lived up to its reputation! I had a great conversation with my tattoo artist Bricks. He delivered on a great tattoo. I will be back in the future.

Troy Brett did my most recent tattoo at Ricks, and I know if I get more, he’ll be the only one who does them. He spent almost three hours doing half of my back in script, and it is as clean and fresh as the day I got it 6+ years ago. Great to interact with while being tattooed, and can tell he lives to do it. The best.

I’ve gotten several tattoos by Troy, plus a walk-in by Ben. Awesome shop, versatile artists, chill atmosphere, and quick, clean work. My tattoos from Rick’s always get the most compliments and I’ll be coming back for more!

I had an amazing experience today getting my belly pierced by Rob. He was sweet,funny and with a great personality. I felt so welcome in the store with the great customer service. Afterwards loved the hyped Rob gave because I was feeling nervous. Especially, the neatness of the store, Loved it and thank you!

Gotten both a tattoo and piercing here and had an amazing experience with both! Ben gave me a flower tattoo on my hip and was an amazing artist and gave me exactly what I wanted!! The piercer is so experienced and makes you feel so comfertable and talks you through the whole process! Such amazing people! High quality people, tattoos and piercings

All I can say is WOW!! I walked in and they took care of me right away and were extremely polite! This was my first tattoo and was supposed to match my older brothers, and it matched perfectly. They definitely deserve 5 stars and I would recommend them for anyone at any time!

Me and my best friend of 10 years spontaneously decided to finally get matching tattoos the other day. We decided on Rick’s because they had the best reviews and were close. When we got in we had to wait a while (which was fine because we didn’t have an appointment or anything). But immediately after being helped, we felt we were treated like dumb & naive kids. Our tattoo artist came over and told us the tattoo we wanted would have to be bigger than we initially planned. We understood why and were fine with it. He then asked where we would like them and said he’d be right back. He came back with a rough sketch and told us the pricing would be $120 EACH. But the tattoos we wanted were VERY small (2 inches tops and slim)... We weren’t looking to spend that much on such a small design, so we had to decide on a completely different tattoo than what we initially planned/wanted. We settled on a simple SMALL flower for our wrists. He told us he could do them for $80 each WITHOUT the shading, and $100 each with the shading. The shading was very minimal and by that point we felt like we were being scammed lol. We debated on leaving but instead just decided to spend the $100 each. I have a tattoo that’s 3x the size of the one we got, that I got for $60.. We are happy with our tattoos but the experience wasn’t all that great. We feel because we’re young (19 & 20) we were taken advantage of. Maybe I don’t fully understand how tattoo pricing works .. but a very small and simple design (with minimal shading, that took literally 5 minutes to do) doesn’t seem worth $100, EACH? It doesn’t seem right.

I have had five tattoos done by Ms. Amy, and every one looks as good as the day I got it, even the ones on my feet! She does excellent, excellent work, and if I werent so far now is the only artist I would ever see. I have heard good things about the other artists as well, but have only ever had a tattoo from Amy and she was just awesome. Go without fear.

Stopped by to see Blake and he was a huge help!!! Our sister had a crappy tragius piercing done with hoops and wanted to get new studs put in. He was super helpful picking out the perfect piece of jewelry for her sensitive skin. Then took his time replacing the jewelry to make sure it went in correctly. After he finished, he made sure she knew the proper care for her piercings to ensure they would heal correctly. Definitely going back to see him again!!

I had a sleeve done by Duong and some other work done by Rhiannon and I am extremely pleased with the work and the prices. I had some stuff done in Adams Morgan, DC, Cincinnati, OH and Cleveland, OH and the prices, service and quality of work was vastly superior at Ricks. I plan on going back and getting another sleeve done and I know the work will be amazing. I get complements all the time on how good the tattoos looks... 5 Stars for sure!!

I got my first tattoo here, customer service was great, fast and very professional. My artist was Tara M. Shes awesome, her work is top quality. The ink quality is great and it healed very well and fast.

Fantastic experience with Zak. Clean studio, my appointment time was respected and Zak was very helpful with making sure my tattoo was exactly what I wanted. Definitely looking to come back for my next piece.

They are some of the best Ink Slingers aroundTheir prices are fair and they are willing to negotiate. The more work you get done the better the price. Troy and Amy do great cover ups with American Traditional.

Went in at 1.20 pm( hours are 12 to 6 pm on Sundays), lady at the desk did not bother to talk to us until after 5 to awkwardly trying to give us a hint about making an appointment for another day( and walked out in the middle of the conversation when I was telling her that it would have been nice to let us know after 1-2 hours if that tattooers would be able to see us that day or running the risk to keep waiting and still not getting our tattoos done- has she said that to us, the whole experience would have been totally different! She eventually came back to us at 5.55 pm to ask questions about our tattoos, we found out that I could get one done but not my partner( because they were out of time). Tattoo artist came to talk to us and made an nice offer( or though I thought: offered to only pay $80-minimum fee for a tattoo--a few years ago, I got tattoos with them and was charged $60 for a bigger tattoo when actually that is what we would have paid anyway! Our tattoos were 2 inches on 1 inch and 2 inches on 2 inches( overpriced, much?). Of course when asked about a way to get in touch with the owner, the lady at the front desk wasnt sure of any way to get in touch with him. Tattoo guy overheard me, and asked why I needed to contact the owner, I did not want to have an argument in the middle of the shop until the lady shouted: He wants to talk to him because he had to wait and he is upset. Wrong: I had an issue with your complete lack of communication skills and your lack of professionalism. I was eventually given an e-mail address( probably fake) and got in touch with the owner via another social platform. Lets just say that our exchange was an extent of the unpleasant experience we had at the shop. While I understand him sticking to his employees version (apparently, their story is slightly different they did not see anything wrong with how the situation was handled-- I mean how many employees do you know would admit they handled a situation very poorly with a customer??) the whole customer service is very important to me speech didnt make any sense. Like I said on other social platforms, they will still get business regardless of the reviews posted online, but at least I will make some people aware of a not-so-smooth shop. Oh, well! There are plenty of professional shops in the DMW area.

Great shop, full of great artists. I just got my second piece done by Troy and couldnt be more satisfied - his portfolio speaks for itself. Highly recommend both his work and the shop in general.

Walked in for a tattoo on a whim, knew what I wanted and where but not exactly the font. Troy drew it up and within 20 minutes I had the most amazing tattoo. Super clean & professional. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Everyone here was so nice, welcoming, and professional. I went in for a walk-in and Ben gave me a beautiful tattoo. The lady at the front desk (unfortunately i didnt catch her name) and Tara were very welcoming as well!

Came in to this shop a couple months ago to get my belly button pierced. Every other shop i went to, said they couldnt do it because I had a scar and that it would reject even if i used a titanium bar. Ricks is a well known and well established tattoo parlor in N. Arlington. The talent varies wildly from artist to artist, but you can be sure to find the best in the area for whatever style of artwork youre seeking. You can also expect to pay top dollar even for simpler things, as is to be expected with a shop with a reputation for premium work. The guys inside are usually nice enough, though they have a low tolerance for people with little or no tattoo experience, and they are quick to judge people seeking fad tattoos or people with ideas that are cheesy or arent logical for transfer to skin.The bottom line is this: for original art or complicated portraits or ideas you can be sure that Ricks will have an artist that can make your dreams come true (if the price tag doesnt kill you before you begin), or if you just want some lettering or you have something already drawn theyd still do a great job, but you can find a different shop that would cost a fraction of the price.

Been here twice & have gotten tattoos done by Chauna & Troy. Both friendly & are great artists. Ive always done walk-ins & the wait isnt super long & totally worth it. Deff will be back again soon!

Ricks is hands down the best shop. I come here every year with a big group of my friends and they are super accommodating, friendly, and do absolutely beautiful work. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for quality ink, especially American traditional work.

Great service. One of the few places that take walk-ins. A little pricey compared to Charlotte NC prices, literally triple to quadruple the price. Zak was attentive and patient with me. Would recommend.

Great experience with Zak. I came in with a some dainty text and he let me know that it would not age well (i.e. would eventually just blob together). He offered up a bigger size, restructured the text, and continually made sure this was what I wanted. 100% likely to return.

Waited almost an hour for them to tell us that they will give us a call back mean while they were having their lunch and taking a smoke break and this is that we came right when they opened at 11am as a walk in and they just kept saying who even has time for a walk in instead of asking the artist if they can and then just telling us upfront everyone is busy but they made us wait an hour for no reason and not even a drawing of what I wanted they really had no respect for peoples time waist of time and energy

Over price , over heard a lady wanting to get five thin words on the side her foot, said 160. Knowing that tattoo will fade and will need touch ups or thicker font. I went in to ask about a thin band around the ankle , the tattoo artist went to set up then ask another artist how much for a band and they said 300 , didn’t even look or ask the location. I have a band on my arm and didn’t have to pay 300. Over charging and not caring to look or ask

Dont know what threw problem is but everyone I talked with was friendly and made sure I was certain I was sure I wanted my tattoo. No complaints here. Great job. Great staff.

Very unprofessional. The only tattoo place that was doing walk-ins and had me waiting for 2 hours with out some much as a word to me about who was ahead of me or how long after 2 hours I asked how many people were ahead of me but the clerk told me we might have to let you go so I walked out

I got my wrist tattoo a bit ago and the artist seemed a bit rushed because 9 other clients wanted matching tattoos. My heart is completely wonky and its not shaded in properly. Honestly not worth it.

The tattoo artist charged me too much for a small simple tattoo. In terms of quality they are good but I dont think a small tattoo on the forearm should cost 300$. This is just ripping people off.
