Love them! Chance did a cover up for me. I came with a bunch of pictures and ideas and word vomited it all at him for my sleeve AND he actually put my crazy vision on paper. This was just the first session and it’s already amazing. More picture to come after the next session. Thank you!! 💚

My cousins and I came for a group tattoo and each had such a good experience. We all had some different styles and placements. Both Chance and Sparrow took great care of our group, and we all love our tattoos.

Kris has done both of my forearms and completely delivered on both. Pain while getting tattooed is at a minimum and he goes above and beyond to make sure youre visit is as comfortable as possible. Hes provided consistent experience and is just genuinely cool dude. Will be working with him for a wrestling themed sleeve.

Howl tattoo is The only place to go for an authentically Unique tattoo. It was Completely completely worth driving four hours and an honor to have Andy Howl Tattoo an incredibly sentimental piece on my forearm and made my experience incredibly memorable. Absolutely worth the 4 Hour drive.

I went in to get a forearm tattoo from Sparrow, and I have nothing but good things to say about the experience. He was incredibly professional, as well as very communicative and helpful in discussing exactly what I wanted, while also giving recommendations on how to personalize my tattoo design for me. Constantly made sure I was okay and frequently reminded me that we could take breaks at any point if needed. The other staff I talked to were incredibly nice and helpful as well. Kris did this awesome piece. It was my first and I’m going back to get a complimentary piece done on the other leg. First of all he took my initial idea and made it doable with some collaboration. I had a fantastic time getting a tattoo today by Sparrow!! Such a kind and super-talented artist!! Such an easy process from the consultation to the actual tattoo. Sparrow took the time to see the designs I wanted and was very patient and accommodating when I wanted to add or change the sizing of the piece on my arm. Did a fair share of research and everyone was saying this was the best tattoo shop in Fort Meyers. Went in and had a rib piece done by Chance. Great experience the whole way through. He listened to my input and took his time with me to make sure the tattoo was exactly how I wanted it. I drove 2.5 hours to get my tattoo at Howl Tattoos, With Jay Gardner. I’m familiar with him because he tattood multiple family members that were also returning customer. I wasnt sure what to expect nor was i 100 percent on exactly where to put my piece and what details to include. But Jay Gardner put me at ease and did an amazing piece for me and i’ll definitely be back to get more work done. Very professional and i was very comfortable the whole way through. I went here for ear lobe piercings and had an amazing experience with Jazz. My friend and I are Deaf and once she realized this she was amazing working with me. When I am nervous I get giggly and talk ALOT, and she was so patient with that. I would definitely come back and refer anyone to go there.

Matt Lawrence is an amazing artist and great person. I came for my first tattoo and he was very patient, calming (I was a little nervous), and had some great insight on placement and style while still doing what I wanted. He is very good at what he does and from what I saw, so are all the other artists at HOWL. Definitely check them out if you need some new ink.

Sparrow did my first tattoo and it was the best experience I could have asked for. It turned out beautifully and the place was very inviting. He calmed my nerves but was very professional as well. The receptionists were both very nice and the piercer was really sweet. It took about 30 minutes and it was a very good price. If I lived in Florida, I would go here again and again!

Wow! Thats just one word to wrap up my experience with HOWL. My wife and I both got our ribs tattooed by Jay. He had a very gentle hand and was quick and does a GREAT job. Made both of us feel very comfortable as well. We both love our tattoos and I have an appointment set for my next with him. The shop is also VERY cool and clean.Update:Second tattoo has been completed by Jay and I absolutely am ECSTATIC with the outcome! This one was a coverup of a tattoo that definitely was not my favorite. It was on my right calf and it ended up a good size. Jay was a trooper and we completed this in one session. Again, would 100% reccomend Jay to anyone! He has a KILLER grasp on color and I couldnt be happier!

I’ve always loved Howl, there are great artists working at this joint. Michael Ippolito tattooed this rabbit (FranK) for me, another artists a few years ago worked on the jupiter tattoo (the “4”) and it has healed well. i will be returning, and I look forward to seeing future live events. shirts are only $20!

The staff here is super friendly and professional. It was really clean and reasonably priced! I got a double helix done by Jazz and she was super sweet. She talked me through the whole process and made it a really comfortable experience. I love my piercing and cant wait to go back. I definitely would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a piercing. :)

Scheduled a small wrist piece with Sparrow. He’s an excellent artist - exceedingly calm and very professional. As a newcomer, I felt safe having my first tattoo in his hands :PThe venue itself is great! Kris Tirtel does more than work that matches the pre-work drawings, it turns out even better. Theres only a few artists Id ever allow to do work needed and hes one of them. If youre looking for Indigenous work or you want something with meaning instead of the normie media-molded fads of society, get work done by him.Whether its Nordic, Roman, Baltic, Keltoi (Celtic), Slavic or you want to converse on culture, mythology or life beyond politics and TV because you seek something more, the booth is there.If your work needs to say I dont want to just be marked with mythology. Jazz was amazing! I was having trouble removing my earrings and didn’t know what else to do. She took me right in without an appointment and took care of me in under 5 minutes. She was so personable and easy to talk to. I’ve gotten 4 ear piercings here and will definitely be going back if I decide to get another!

I had a tattoo here done by Erin, and Im absolutely in love with how it turned out. He was awesome, and was able to adapt to some last minute alterations. The details are crisp, including the super fine lettering, and the gradients in the tattoo are beautiful. Ive gotten plenty of complements, and many of my friends that are much more tatted up than I am were impressed with the quality and level of detail. Ill definitely be recommending him to others and returning in the future!

Ive gotten tattooed by three of Howls artists, including Andy Howl, the talented owner, and can honestly say that there is not an artist working there that I wouldnt happily pay to ink me. You just cannot get a bad tattoo at Howl.Not only a phenomenal tattoo studio, but a landmark art venue, as well, hosting traditional gallery art as well as performance and music.

Jay Gardner is a phenomenal artist. Very professional, great communicator, really puts his all into his art pieces. Jay’s station is very clean, and has a light hand when tattooing. I suggest going to Jay if you choose howl tattoo! We had our first session on a half sleeve kitsune fox. I am beyond impressed with the attention to detail and clean line work. After this is finished I will definitely be back to see him again!

Jazz was super sweet, friendly, professional and very informative! aftercare instructions was explained verbally and printed out instructions. She also made sure I was ok within the piercing process and afterwards. Also made sure I liked it. Howl was very clean inside and out, with great staff! Place that passes itself off as a punk bar, but bans local musicians with leftist lyrics from performing, because of the politics of their songs.. but plays kanye when his wierd antisemitism was blowing up all over the news... so thats was kinda wierd. Like I wouldnt think twice if I heard it anywhere else, but a punk bar specifically should be up to a higher standard. Comes across as posery.Also kinda weird policing of minorities calling themself slurs that have been used against themTattoos look good from the other reviews, Im just talking about the bar part.The vibes are just off for a punk bar.

Sparrow was my artist. Nice guy but I hate my tattoo. It looks like a child drew it and doesn’t look anything like the photo I sent. Getting it covered immediately. Was a waste of an 1 1/2 drive and money. Also, I had to wait over an hour to have it drawn even though I sent it days before. I’ve been to many tattoo parlors and it’s always drawn before I come in.

I recently got 2 tattoos with Jay and I am telling you, I couldnt be obsessed with his work. I was having a hard time designing a memorial tattoo for my grandmother who recently passed, and I just couldnt imagine anything that would be acceptable to honor her. Jay drew up something based on my ideas, and it blew my mind. He has such a light hand and was so easy to get along with. What an amazing asset for Howl tattoo to have. His work is amazing. These 2 pieces have by far been my best and thats because of Jay. I will definitely be booking more appointments with him.

Groovy and generous customer service, John especially, and everyone just seems happy with what they do and it shows in all of their work. She had previously been to HOWL a few years back on another vacation and had a tattoo done here. Based on her experience we went back and not disappointed! Thai was our artist - he was awesome! I loved his honesty about desired designs and was so friendly and willing to help alter and suggest new designs and locations. The entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable and made you feel comfortable. This shop is very cool and clean!! If Im in the area again, I will definitely make it a point to go to HOWL for another tattoo! We called ahead as we werent sure of availability and able to get in within an hour.

Great experience getting tattooed by Kris and my girl by Andy. Both have a really good vibe and made us feel comfortable. The gallery itself is very welcoming as is all the staff. Definitely somewhere I plan to return to for more work and recommend to friends.

Jazz was super sweet! I had lopsided piercings and she fixed them so they looked more even. I also received new cartilage jewelry. I had a great experience at Howl Tattoo Sorry it took me so long to get this review in - Im computer challenged . I had an idea of what I wanted for a tattoo and Andy drew a great design for me. The tattoo looks fantastic!! The entire staff was very friendly and made me feel at ease - it had been close to 40 years since my last tattoo and I didnt know what to expect going in there as an old guy. The shop was very clean and I enjoyed looking around at all the art and stuff in there. Ill be back down there in December and hope to get Andy to do another tattoo for me -Thanks!!

Howls Tattoo&Piercing is amazing!! they are overall a great shop to come visit by if your in the fort myers or cape area. They are clean and a friendly place. I went to get a tattoo for my first-time and my artist was Sparrow. He definitely is someone you should go to for your first and next tattoo. He is an awesome artist who created a design that I will probably love forever. I overall had a great experience with him as I was a little nervous about my first tattoo but he made me feel comfortable and even talked to me which actually helped me get through the tattoo alot easier. I was able to enjoy the experience at Howls and with sparrow and can definelty recommend to anyone looking for a tattoo.

Its taken me awhile to write this review, but here it is finally!On the last day of my vacation in Ft. Myers, I had my heart set on getting my first tattoo. I researched all the different shops in the area, reading reviews and looking at portfolios, but I really connected with HOWL because I noticed that the shop owner had graduated from SCAD--the same college I went to! I knew I had to go to this place. My best friends and I were walk-ins around noon who wanted to get piercings and tattoos, and Chris at the front desk was so accommodating and nice that he made us feel right at home. Our artist was GB and he did a fantastic job with my friends nose and cartilage piercings, as well as my tattoo. Id definitely make the three and a half hour trip back to get my next piece!

Sparrow did such an amazing job on my tattoo. It was my first one and he stayed a full 7 hours to finish it up. Thanks alot man it looks so good to.

When I arrived at my consultation I only had the general idea of what I wanted. Wonderful experience with Jazz here at HOWL tattoo and piercing. I got a conch and forward helix ear piercings and Jazz was so thorough with informing me of the process and aftercare. I was comfortable the whole time and my piercings look amazing!!

Got a couple small line work tattoos on my fingers by Matt. I was nervous about healing so I followed process to a T. Im a month in and already have to get them touched up by another artist in my home state. My experience wasnt necessarily poor, I just wish he wouldve outlined that expectation when I originally got tattood. Felt like I paid a lot just to have to get touched up immediately after healing.

Got my first tattoo today from Matt. I had been looking at many other tattoo shops around town and decided to get mine done from Matt at HOWL. He was extremely nice and helpful and he really takes his time and does his research to give you the best possible tattoo. I am thrilled with the way mine turned out, its better than I had hoped. Overall, I strongly recommend this shop to anyone. The place has a great relaxing atmosphere, a great staff, and most importantly great tattoos at a great price.

Ive gotten a tattoo from Kris and pierced by Megan on two separate visits, and I wont be going anywhere else ever again! The staff are all knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have. The shop is always clean and they often have crazy fun events going on, plus they serve alcohol. I trust that theyll always do a great job, no matter what youre looking for. I plan on bringing my little sister here for her tattoo when she turns 18!

Sparrow worked with me and did a beautiful job of incorporating my idea into existing work, while putting his own artistic spin into the design. I’ll definitely be back for more. Today i went in for a tattoo being unsure. Sparrow did my tattoos and did AMAZINGGGGG! I’m so in love with them. The fine lines were done incredibly well and the energy he gave off was even better. I had a great experience today with a walk-in piercing from Megan. She took time ahead of prep to talk about piercing options, check out placement and what she would recommend, and they had a beautiful selection of jewelry available. I was a walk in spur of the moment tattoo ( i was in Florida on vacation) and Kris (tirtel) was the artist that did my tattoo. He told me that he would get right to me after lunch and a cigarette which I completely understood as I didnt have an appointment scheduled. He drew up the tattoo and started within 45 minutes of me walking in.He is amazing! Gave me exactly what I was looking for. I got a sunflower on the back of my arm. We talked the whole time he has a silent machine which is awesome and he isnt heaving handed. Im in love with my tattoo and will visit him again.

I spoke directly with Andy Howl and explained the type of tattoo I would like done. He provided me with exactly what I wanted, and even exceeded my expectations with the artwork that he did. I not only will recommend going to HOWL Gallery/Tattoo to my friends and family, I will also go back there for any future artwork I have done. I just got my tattoo here today and it was such a great experience.. I got a lace garter around my upper thigh to cover a scar. It looks so great! Colin did an excellent job! Ive been tattooed at Howl a couple of times and brought many friends there. For the MOST PART, Howl is excellent. Andy is superb as is Steve and Lackey has his moments. All have a fantastic manner about them and are helpful when youre deciding on a tattoo to get or having one designed. Recently, I brought a coworker in to have a small ankle piece done and she got Chris. Hes lacking in personality, unlike the others and his artistry is rudimentary. He focuses on those tattoos that your grandfather used to get. What I find problematic though is that Howl takes great pains to have negative reviews removed from this site. Ive seen others here and they frequently disappear. Anyway overall the place is superb, just watch who you get, and if youre unhappy someone will make sure that nobody finds out about it.

I had work done by Thai Do and wow, what a great choice that was! I went in one day and we discussed an idea and he was so eager to make sure that it was exactly what I wanted and more. His lines are so clean and he takes his time to make it perfect. I will absolutely get more tattoos done by him and I would highly recommend him!

Cant speak for all of their artists but Kris was no good. Was getting a spiderman tattoo and he blacked out one of the eye lenses. When i said something about his mistake he first lied trying to cover himself saying thats how it looks in the comics. And when I pulled up an image of the character showing the white eye lenses he started on about how he was going to blend it. Im already going to have to walk around with his mistake on my skin but it was super frustrating that he didnt have the integrity to admit he screwed up. Thank God Medicine Man Tattoo slavaged his botched attempt for me and for a super reasonable price.

The woman at the front desk was extremely unprofessional, unpleasant and simply rude,we walked in,waited in front of her for over 5 minutes without being acknowledged,another customer walked in the woman tells them shell take care of them they said we were there before them she told them she was gonna take care of them first again without even looking at us. Ive never experienced such rude behavior, needless to say we just walked out.

The first place I stopped to check out was Howl, and I did not look any farther. When I walked in, the atmosphere was bright, clean, and friendly. The work done was wonderful, and the staff was very nice and friendly. I’ve ben into tattoo hops a lot in the past, and have always felt kind of intimidated, however that was not the case here. My nose piercing fell out and closed up, i went to go see jas, she told me to wait a month before getting it re pierced so i don’t have any complications. Uninviting, nonchalant, and unprofessional. If you want amazing, attentive, professional customer service DO NOT come here! The cashier/receptionist is rude and gave zero F#%@s that she made a scheduling mistake. instead of apologizing and fixing the problem kreakel (tattoo artist) and the receptionist dismissed me like it was my fault and offered to reschedule with a different artist the following week. I waited all week to get this done and to be treated the way I was is unacceptable in any establishment.

Great experience with Kris Tirtel, I ended up sitting for 4 hours on a half sleeve and he was extremely meticulous when it came to positioning and making sure I liked it. He was sociable during and had a wonderful attitude. I’ll be back in a few months for the upper sleeve!

This place is awesome!!!! Some tattoo places are just there to make money, but within 10 seconds of walking into Howl you will understand that they are there for their love of art. So much talent here in so many different formats... you are crazy to not come here for their amazing ink -- or something equally amazing to hang on your wall. These people embody everything that art is about and it shows. And they give back to the community! They are constant involved with events and things-going-on! You are blind if you cant see that these people care about what they do. If there were more stars I would give them without hesitation. :-)

I have now had two tattoos done for me by Mandalin and both were beyond any expectations I had. For both tattoos I had ideas for what I wanted and she took them and created a beautiful custom drawing for me. I am one of the most type A particular people and she worked with me to give me exactly what I was looking for. Truly fantastic service. Before I was tattooed at Howl last year, I had been to other shops, but now I need Howl to do my cover-ups because nothing compares to their work!! I will not go to any other shop! Clean and professional! The work is amazing and I will be back for more!

My husband and I decided to get our first tattoos August 2011 and after searching web sites of all the local tattoo shops we decided on Howl. We made an appointment with Steve (Bananas) who did an AMAZING job! Steve explained the whole process from start to finish and put both of us at ease. The only warning I could give is that it is ADDICTIVE!! I have since had four other tattoos done by Steve! He is always willing to spend as much time as you need for you to have the perfect tattoo and has often stayed an hour or more after close to finish a tattoo. He is very much the perfectionist! You will not find a cleaner, friendlier, or more reasonably priced tattoo shop around!

Went to one of the metal shows here a couple weeks ago and was surprised at how much fun I had! Definitely would check it out again. I know the tattoo artists here are fantastic along with the art around the gallery.

Youd think he painted it on your skin. Hes worth the wait to get in.The whole shop is amazing. I never stepped into a shop and got treated like a human being and not just a bag of money. The shop is clean, swank, hip. The art on the walls is indescribable in the best way possible. And the girls working up front? Their aint that bad either. ;) But seriously though, you will not find another shop like this in South West Florida and I really hope you take the time to to look around.

Thai Do is one of the best traditional/blackwork artists in Florida and this shop was smart to hire him. Thais tattoos are always so insanely vibrant in color and his line work is some of the sharpest around. Never seen him do any shaky lines. Have 3 pieces from him so far and am getting another next week. Get a piece from him now.

Sparrow did a great job I got a decent size piece on my arm and i couldn’t love it more. Clean line work and excellent shading. Definitely recommend.

Got my first tattoos done 7-18-12 by Steve Bananas at Howl gallery was a walk-in late in the day and Steve stayed 1.5 hours after shop hours for me. I really like the work he did and staff was great as well. Im going back for more

Got my piercing done by Jaz and she was such an angel!!! Made me feel comfortable with getting my first piercing done and I will definitely come back to get more done by her :) the place is also cool as hell

I got a tattoo a couple months ago, but it is a complete disaster. I wish I could post a picture of it but Im not able to. I got simple text on my inner bicep and it took 8 minutes total. But when it started healing, I noticed it looked funky. One of the letters is all blurred. Turns out the artist (BD) pushed too hard and the ink ran.. The lines are different widths. And its four letters long. its so miserable. I dont even trust them to fix it. Not to mention they told me $60 when I have my deposit and when I showed up for the tattoo they tried to tell me $80.

OMG!! AMAZING!! my first time visiting florida with my boyfriend, weve been wanting tattoos for a veryyyy long time but have never gotten the chance to actually go and get one..so while in florida i did some research and found the best tattoo shop in fort myers! and i definately agree with why it was voted #1. the atmosphere was so laid back. we are both tattoo virgins and were quite nervous and wasnt exactly sure as to what we really wanted. steve aka bananas accomadated us with ideas and help us find a design we liked. chris drew up a beautiful sketch for my boyfriend and steve did an amazing job on my hip tat. it was a pleasure getting tatted there. they had me laughing the whole time. Erin was also wonderful she reassured me that i would definately be able to get through it and to my suprise i did no tears! howl the owner checked in with us a couple of times to see how everything was going. im very very very impressed with this shop and the staff overall a truly amazing experience.
