Got my nose pierced here today by Matt and the assistant/front desk check in was super knowledgeable and friendly! Matt made sure my piercing was absolutely perfect! Thanks for an amazing piercing and your kindness and expertise today!

Went in due to needing help putting my daith piercing back in. I got helped right away. Before I knew it my piercing was back in! I am so grateful for them taking me so quickly as a walk in! I would go back to them for future piercings and tattoos.This place is super friendly and kind!

Asia is AWESOME! My first visit was to cover up the scar on my left shoulder. Asia was able to camouflage it with flowers/leaves, she also tattooed stars on my right ear. I had such a good experience, I returned for a second time, to get the heart and butterfly (its a week old and still healing). I will definitely be back for more. I honestly think you cannot go wrong with any artist here. If you choose Asia you definitely wont be disappointed. 03/11/24 I added a bow to my leg and touched up the ribbon on my butterfly (both covered with Tegaderm). Stay tuned....

I suffer from severe anxiety so I was always too nervous to get a tattoo but the staff here is so sweet and kind making my first tattoo experience flawless. I had my tattoo done by Star and it blows my mind that she is only an apprentice (her tattoos look like she has doing them forever!). I had a custom of my cat done and it is exactly what I was envisioning only 1000x better than I imagined. I’m so happy with my experience here, my artist Star, and my tattoo. I would absolutely recommend coming here for any tattoo or piercing needs!

I came to get a nose piercing almost three weeks ago and I am still so in love! The healing process has been a breeze, Ive had no problems at all. Matt had a great energy, he was funny & made the process comfortable as it was my first piercing. The Reef was recommended by a friend that has been here many times for tattoos and piercings. I plan to come back to downsize my jewelry in the next few weeks & for more piercings in the future.

Got my first tattoo done here with Ken as the artist and it was fantastic. Ken was super friendly and made sure I was doing good during the entire process and did amazing work. Highly recommend coming here for tattoo work.

Welcoming atmosphere, walked in for a revamp on an old tat was able to get same day service (which is a plus). Cowboy was my artist and did a good job on my old tat. Can’t wait to see the end results after it’s healed. Looks much better than when I came in😉

The staff here are all so friendly and been so helpful and funny! I have severe anxiety with social situations, but theyre been amazing and super patient with me. Its wonderful to be able to walk into a place and always feel welcomed and greeted. This will always be my favorite place to go for piercings or tattoos. Everyone is great!

Came in to see Cowboy for a couple tattoos and he did not disappoint! He was very attentive to my preferences as far as sizing, font ,and placement! He made sure I was 100% happy with how everything looked. Not only did he do excellent job with my tattoos but he also provided excellent customer service! Definitely recommend this place. Took my daughter here to get her ears pierced for the first time for her 10th birthday. The place is very clean and friendly. Peter was awesome with my daughter and she really liked him. She did get scared and we didnt get the second ear done the same day and Peter could tell she wasnt ready for second one to get done and didnt press the issue, we paid and left . So my daughter the next day got the courage and wanted to get the other ear done, but this time my wife took her. Peter was again really good with them and thank you to the customer in front of them to let them go ahead of her which made things even better, Peter hooked it up and we now have a happy girl. Thanks! Well definitely return in the future.

I went in today to ask for info about getting my nose pierced and everyone was so great and helpful that I decided to just get it done then and there. I had been looking up places to get my nose re-pierced. I had a previous piercing done at another place in Chicago about 4 years ago and had to remove it because it became infected. I was hesitant about getting it re-pierced and it not lining up with the small scar I had. It took me about a year to grow the courage to finally walk into Reef. I regret not going in sooner. The piercing artist, Jesse, was amazing. Jesse walked me through the whole process and explained everything in great detail. Again, my biggest concern was getting it pierced in the same spot as before. Everything went extremely well and I’m so happy. It has been about 4 weeks and I have had no issue. The parlor and washroom were clean and the staff were so nice and comforting. I would definitely go back!

Fat Mike was extremely patient & had the best bedside care I’ve ever experienced at a tattoo studio. My tragus piercing was almost painless, he took his time and made sure I was comfortable- I appreciated that so much!

AMAZING SHOP. I’ve been to so many places in this area and honestly outside the city this is the best studio around. The artists are funny and kind and there is a really good vibe. My daughter and I went here to get her helix piercing and the entire staff was so nice to us the whole time! We’re from out of town and Kelly gave us her social media so we can keep in touch just in case. Incredible customer service and just all around good people! I’m blown away by the quality and patience she had with us! She could tell my daughter was nervous so she held a conversation and helped her feel better about it. The piercing looks amazing and was virtually painless. Very clean facility as well and definitely will go back next time we’re up here!

My daughter got her FIRST ear piercing done by JESSE! AWESOME SERVICE!!! Jesse gave her VIP service and consistently sought consent by asking all of the necessary questions throughout the process. Cowboy was great! Took the time to find the best placement and took care of my preferences. He had great ideas and additions to make my idea greater, but didn’t push anything too hard. Was lucky to find him on a walk-in situation and can’t wait to keep going back.

Absolutely amazing. I got my Septum piercing done and he was absolutely fantastic. Very attentive and made sure i understood what I was getting, how to properly care for, and healing process details. This place was a joke was told it would be a 1 1/2 hours give or take a little bit which is no problem go and kill some time get back there after a hour and start waiting after 2 hours go by a group of people bypass us then another lady walks in so i’m paying attention and he tells her it will be at least 2 hours before she can in but she says she has a hair appointment in a hour all of sudden she’s in front of and guy tells me another 45 min i was dumbfounded how this place operates after this 2 people walking in and skipping in line ended up taking 4 hours to get a simple nose piercing so just be ready to wait or have a excuse since apparently having a hair appointment let’s you walk in and out when people are already waiting over 2 hours and he has no problem with skipping around to suit his needs if he knows someone or however this place operates very unprofessional will never go there again! all he had to do was be professional and straight forward instead of playing games

Great place, I got my lobes and helix pierced by Matt 2 weeks ago and Im so happy with them! Matt was very knowledgeable and talked me though everything he was doing. Havent had any problems with my piercings.

From entrance to exit, The Reef Gang was professional, courteous, helpful and friendly. Personally had a tattoo done and the whole experience was perfect. The team listened to what I wanted, explained their role and their protocols to ensure a clean and safe experience. The shop is well maintained, very clean and totally professional. I will not visit another tattoo studio after working with the amazing team at The Reef. Excellent business all around - give them shot, you wont be disappointed!

This place is great! My friend and I went in to get my nose pierced and had the apprentice Kelly do it and she was super nice! The piercing master stayed with her the entire time and walked her through it to make sure it went well. They both answered all of our questions and most importantly didn’t make me feel bad for being a fainter! They made sure I was comfortable which helps me not faint. Also, Kelly wasn’t comfortable doing my friends belly button piercing and was very upfront and honest which was so appreciated! If you want somewhere that you know the people are nice and 100% trustworthy, come here!

Peter did an AMAZING job on my septum piercing!! I got dizzy and he immediately handed me some water and a sugar tablet. Asked multiple times if I was okay and was super nice and professional the whole time I was there!!!Totally recommend and will definitely be going back for future piercings!

What can I say nothing but top notch! I brought my daughter in today to get her ears pierced 4 on one side. Installed a earing on each side that were old closed up holes took a little time but were successful. Very meticulous, very careful about being sanitary, a extremely clean and neat establishment. The owner Matt and his team are wonderful. I will be there to get my first tattoo soon. Cant thank you enough for understanding the special need in taking care of my daughters piercings. I just came in to get my nipples pierced, and Emma was so amazing! There was an apprentice there watching and asking questions, and she knew all the answers in less than a minute. Very clean and comfortable. The piercings hurt less than a cartilage piercing, and I truly believe that is because Emma knew what she was doing. 10/10 would recommend this place. I am so so happy!!

First this is a nice clean shop very professional and good pricing on tattoos. The work here I got is very clean and crisp my artist was very down to earth had a nice vibe, worked very fast and still gave Me a quality piece. The only negative which is not really a negative Im just an impatient person LoL when booking you probably looking at about a month wait for an appointment, really isnt that bad give you time to save extra money if you wanna add anything extra to your tattoo the wait is worth the quality of work this shop puts out.

I took my daughter for her 17th birthday 🥳 She got a nostril piercing. Fat Matt and all of his staff were efficient and friendly. I even learned a thing or two about clown fish 🐠Thank you Matt !

So far I have gotten 2 tattoos from The Reef. It is a very welcoming and comedic atmosphere where you can have an enjoyable tattoo session. I will continue coming here for all the tattoos I need. All the artists are very skilled, knowledgeable, and easy going. From what I have seen, The Reef will always put the best interest of the customer first and ensure that they properly understand the healing process and stop them from making any potential life-damaging decisions. I personally work with Rodrigo and recommend him for anyone looking for Traditional or Neo-Traditional tattoos.

Ive been to the Reef for tattoos and piercings and they do a wonderful job answering questions, are very knowledgeable, and want to make sure all customers walk out happy. They make sure you know proper aftercare procedures and are always willing to help out with problems. The staff is very friendly and want to make sure that everyone that comes in has a great experience both with the shop and with the work they have done.

Although I live about half an hour away, I will always come here now for my tattoos and piercings. Everyone is super sweet and helpful, making each visit very pleasant and fun. I’ve had my tattoos done by Matt and my recent piercing done by Emma and everything turned out great! I definitely recommend going here to everyone who asks me where to go because every artist here is amazing!

I cannot recommend this place enough. My sister and I both got piercings. Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable. They were able to answer any questions that we had and walked us through the process. The place was extremely clean. Took my daughter to get her ears pierced for her birthday! I had emailed ahead of time and the response was timely and just the info I needed to make a decision. Trevor was excellent and talked my daughter through the whole process. He did an excellent job and everyone was so nice! Highly recommended.

Would not go here for another piercing. Got my nose done here a little over a year ago and it was a nightmare. The pricing is ridiculous first of all.. came back there to get my piercing changed to a hoop and the lady put it in wrong. My skin grew around the piercing and they had to cut it out months later. At this point my nose kept getting infected. They did nothing for me. They said they can repierce my nose after they messed up putting in the jewelry but they were going to charge me another 60$?! I said no thank you and instead the lady stuck a taper needle in my nose and said that would be free. It was extremely painful. After messing with my nose for about an hour they couldnt get anything in anymore. My nose was swollen and infected. I left with no piercing and a painful wound. I never went back. Careful where you go to get your piercings done. This place is ripping you off and clearly have no idea what theyre doing. Also, be kinder to your customers.Edit: A response to you... my name is Juline DelPercio. Jules is shortened on here as a nickname. And it was over a year ago. I just now got it repierced at another shop and decided to give this place a review. Initially a man pierced my nose here. And he made me really uncomfortable and he was so rude. When I came back to get the jewelry changed and all of the following things that happened was done by that girl. She had colored hair. I will reach out and speak with you but honestly I dont see a point of that anymore. I wanted to make this review to warn people.

The owner and staff here are WONDERFUL! My daughter’s school made her remove her piercing, and since it was new it began to close. She was in tears... I explained the situation and the owner (Fat Matt) fixed her right up!The artists are knowledgeable and the shop is clean and inviting. Emma did an AWESOME job! I had a pretty good experience at The Reef. Went in Saturday to ask some questions and was greeted when I 1st walked through the door. My appointment was set for 1 oclock Sunday. After paperwork and setup she got started about 2 and finished a lil before 4:30. I love my tattoo. It was a great atmosphere with good conversations. I believe they were very knowledgable about their profession and they stay in their own lanes. I would definitely recommend The Reef as the place to get your tattoos. Thanks Emma and the crew!

I went in 2 months ago to get my septum pierced. I was really nervous. Like, overly dramatic nervous. Their piercer, Pete, was completely patient and professional. He thoroughly explained the process before and during the whole experience. The piercing went without a hitch. I barely felt any pain during and the healing process has been basically painless too. Im very happy with it & felt it necessary to let the internet world know of my experience and the professionalism of their piercer.

I had a great experience at The Reef. I was a walk in and was greeted immediately. I recently had a miscarriage and was looking to get something done to memorialize this and help myself cope and move on. Baby Mat listened to everything I was looking for and looked over the little design I found and helped make it my own. He was professional and personable. He did a great job and was super nice throughout the whole thing. I’m already looking forward to getting another and will definitely be coming back when the time comes!

I had gotten my nose pierced 2 weeks ago at a different facility. My piercing came out tonight and I was not able to get it back in place. I called them and they took me right away when I came in. Kelly was AMAZING! She kept me calm, she got a new ring for my nose and was able to place a new one in. In my midlife crisis, they were able to save my nose! Small feet for some, but I am so greatful! I would recommend them for anything! They were clean, polite, listened to me, and most importantly told me how to continue care for my nose. Soem things that I was not told at the previous place. HANDS DOWN AMAZBALLZ!!!! THANK YOU!!!

He was quick and efficient he prepared me for the process and did it with ease 1/10 for pain, he also helped me with the placement I had a nostril piercing before and didn’t love it but also couldn’t figure out why and it was the placement, I love this one already! Went in yesterday for to get both earlobes pierced, and Peter was very professional and got me in and out. He definitely knew what he was doing, and gave me confidence in him doing the procedure. Highly recommend!

So they were nice and the place was cleaned but I wanted my septum and it came out super crooked so I took it out and I got my daith but it wasn’t even pierced properly. I was in there for about two hours so I really just wanted to go honestly. I’m not saying they’re bad people because they were sweet but I wouldn’t recommend going there if you are very OCD about your piercings. The female that did my piercings I don’t think she’s very good at them and she needs more practice. She cut mine down to $45 because of the septum mess up but now I have to take the daith out because it won’t heal properly and has a huge chance of of rejecting. For the price you pay you deserve it done properly.

Very clean and pretty establishment. I let the staff know beforehand that I have problems with passing out and needles, and they were amazing. I got my nose pierced by Pete. He was very friendly and spent a good 20 minutes with me giving me water after I almost passed out. 100% recommend.

I went in on Monday night for my first tattoo. I came in with an idea of a very basic design and told them where I wanted it. Jason took my very simple design and sketched out what he thought would work and I went with that! Also Jason and the owner Matt gave me the pros and cons of where I originally wanted it placed. I listened to their advice and I am thrilled with it! These guys are knowledgeable, the shop is brand new and CLEAN! Could not be happier.

I had a little wait before it was my turn, the owner Matt kept me engaged until Kinga was ready to pierce me. She was quick and full of information. Going back to get a tattoo done by Jason. Ive been to several tattoo joints and Ill be real, most places are filled with arrogant dudes who think theyre better than the general public. The Reef is completely different, the owner Fat Mike started it because he was sick of that and they excel because of this. Everyone there is super talkative and appreciate every customer who comes through the doors, the dude who did my tattoo has a great bed side manner, and theyre daily priced. GO HERE!!! THEY ARE WORTH IT!!!

My niece went to The Reef Tattoo shop for her 18th birthday and they showed her very poor customer service and body shamed her. She went there to get her belly button pierced and was denied due to being overweight. My niece is 5’9” and weighs 120lbs, the guy that was to perform the bellybutton piercing told her she was to “Fat” to get a bellybutton piercing which was extremely rude and broke her down to tears and made her self conscious about her body. I took my niece to another tattoo shop the next day and she was able to get her bellybutton piercing, in which I asked the question to the piercer that would be performing the task and in turn proceeded to inform me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with her body and he performed the bellybutton piercing with no issues at all. I asked him if her weight had anything to do with getting the piercing procedure performed and he said 100% absolutely not, as her body is as normal as anyone else getting the same procedure done with almost every customer he’s ever dealt with. So I highly recommend people to not waste the trip to The Reef in Frankfort, IL as they like to tell little girls that they are too “Fat” and cause them to believe it to be true. Very sad and poor business ethics.

Very clean and professional shop! It was kind of a last minute decision to go the day I did for my tattoo. I messaged Timmy from their fb page and he responded right away! I called ahead to get my septum pierced for my 16 year old daughter. I specified that she is a MINOR and they person on the phone said I did not need to bring anything. So we walk in and this goofy lady told us we need a birth certificate?? Such bad communication will never be coming back again.

Honestly I’ve been coming to this shop for over 4 years. I’ve gotten tattooed by almost every artist they are all wonderful and so professional I feel at home here I moved to Indiana and I still make the commute to come see Mathias and Emma Rios ! Also every piercer has been so good and focused always spot on where I want the piercing to be Peter is amazing !

Went here on a weekday late afternoon after calling about getting some piercings. Walked in and stood at the counter for 5 minutes without anyone acknowledging me (2 artists were in the middle of tattoos but a simple hi would have been nice) finally went and sat down and then saw a 3rd artist come from the back who also did not acknowledge me. Finally after about a half hour of waiting one of the older tattooist asked why i’d been sitting there and I told him I wanted some piercings. He went and got the piercer but I should have just walked out (stupid me). I got 3 piercings including a 4th piercing on both my lobes, the piercing on my left ear is evenly spaced and looks nice. The problem however is with my right ear. The hole is not as evenly spaced and looks like it’s being pulled into my ear. This is because the piercing out the back of my ear is too far back on my earlobe towards my skull making it look like my piercing was done by a first time piercer. NOT HAPPY AND A WASTE OF THE OVER $100 I spent on 3 piercings. Will never be back and will never recommend

Got my nose pierced here, and the whole process only took about 25 minutes!! Everyone there is super nice and they have a beautiful layout, with fish tanks and plants. Highly recommend!

I called and spoke with Timmy said I could come in to get my tragus piercing changed out (no charge). I ended up buying a new one; priced very reasonably. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. Very good experience.

I can’t say enough about Reef Tattoo and Marc!!!Marc did my tattoo today. I had sent him what I wanted and the colors and I could not be more happier!!! He went above anything I could imagine!! He also made me feel very calm yes I was a little nervous before going ( but that is just me).

Didnt put my nose ring in properly. I came back to ask can they fix. I was told the only way is to buy another one. Definitely will not come back. Went to another place and they had no problem doing it. Trying to make a sale but lost a customer.

Went in to get a nose piercing, they let me walk right in which was great. The piercer was very clean the whole time which I very much appreciated especially during COVID. Affordable, clean, friendly, highly recommend!

Asia is a very talented young lady, professional, clean, time efficient and sweet if I may add checked on me thru the process made sure I was comfortable and happy which I am glad I booked her.

This place is awesome. Went there for an ear piercing. Little to no wait, about 5-6 minutes got my ear pierced with no issues at all. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend this place :).

VERY unprofessional , I tried to contact two artist here because I’ve gotten work here before but by someone else and the two i reached out to were very unprofessional, I’ve reached out to them and i have been ignored for a month ... There’s no way If someone else who is Caucasian wants an appointment they reply right away but when I attempt to get one I get no response even after having a current client of there’s reach out they ignored the message about me requesting a tattoo. Now you have lost 2 current clients and 5 other potential clients that i was telling to come here... like I said very unprofessional.EDIT: They reached out to me and solved the problem.

Just went there recently my sister got her double and I got my nose pierced. The shop was clean and the employees were very kind. I had a great experience and would recommend the shop.

Got my Tragus peiceing in both ears done there. Clean and the guy makes sure you are fully informed as to what is going on as he is doing the peirce. Do no be afraid to ask questions. He can answer all of those as well.

Have been in twice now for a tattoo. Both times Marc tattooed me. The shop is very clean, staff and owner are very friendly and they do nice tattoos at reasonable prices.
