I have 2 Tattoos done, both by Marley one of the best Arts I have ever seen. She is Excellent, Positive and Professional. Blue Gorilla is the best In the State. I would give 100 Stars if I could. Just an update. I got two more tattoos done by Marley again they are awesome. Couldnt ask for anything more

Last week I had a consultation with Marley. It went great. I explained to her that my daughter was Native American, and we are going with something that represents her tribe. I told Marley, I realize I would be taking her creativity away from her as an artist because people in this area, although can do “TRIBAL” designs do not know “TRIBE specific designs and artwork. During the consultation I told Marley that the front had to be exact. But, the backside of the arm, she could add the flower we designed, leaves and the vine as she wished. She noted this on paper the day of the consult. Marley AGREED in doing this and sounded so grateful that I had created everything on paper for her. She asked if she could keep the paper to show other customers and even said she “wished everyone would bring something in like we did” I was so excited to have found Marley and to see her so excited to do this tattoo and that we had so much detail for her to work with. Right down to photos on my daughters arm with the design on it so that Marley would know how the front was to be laid out. My daughter and I spent 3 full hours just to lay the design out on her arm just the way she wanted it to lay. I thought this would save the artist time if she knew who we wanted it laid out. ALL Marley had to do it place the flowers and dragonfly exactly where we wanted them. The Marley just needed to contact the vines and add leaves. But, Marley wanted to completely rearrange the direction of the flowers and the way we wanted them to lay. Every time she tried to put the flower in she wanted, I told her that wasn’t the direction and tried to show her. I touched my daughters arm when doing this and got yelled out about contamination. Then Marley began arguing that I needed to draw it and how I was taking away her creativity. Yet, during the consultation she knew this an agreed to it. Then we were told she would not do the tattoo so we left. I am beyond angry. Before leaving she told me that her rates were $200 per hour and she did not want to take all the time up laying out the design. But, had she laid it out as show, she would not had to spent time on that. She also quoted me during our consultation that she would charge about $500 to do my daughters tattoo and to add a couple of the flowers to my existing tattoo. She said we would be that a total of 5 hours. So, the $500 quoted jumped up to $1000. I am beyond angry!!! I want others to beware.

Me & my bestfriend went for a walk in today. They immediately got us with someone. the atmosphere was amazing & the staff was even better. everyone was so nice and welcoming. buck did our tattoos & he did wonderful. he was funny, easy to talk to/get along with, and he took the time to talk to us about our tattoos and the placement- along with things we didn’t know prior to going into our session. 10/10 overall experience. would 100% recommend!!! will definitely be back if we’re in town:)

My best friend and I came in for a walk in. The staff was awesome and made us feel very welcomed. Buck did our tattoos and he was super helpful and took the time to discuss the placements of our tattoos and. He was easy to talk to and fun. He did an awesome job. I will definitely visit again if I’m ever in town again.

I wanted to add my grandchilds name to an existing tattoo on my back. They accepted walk-ins. Had me in and out in no time. Buck did an excellent job matching the existing pattern! I would recommend this place. Friendly, professional, and clean.

Go see Marley!!That girl can draw and has such great ideas in her head. Shes more than happy to work with you and even make sure youre as comfortable as can be while back with her. Her presence is light and kind and shell have you in and out before you know it!! Then you look down and BAM exactly what you envisioned is now perfectly on your body. Always a great experience with her.

My wife got her first tattoo on Monday and she absolutely loves it! Danger was her artist and he made her feel at ease and comfortable. He did an amazing job getting her exactly was she envisioned.

If you are getting a tattoo from Buck, just say no. I got a tattoo from here that is absolutely hideous. I scheduled my laser removal 2 days after I got the tattoo. I got a sunburst which was a bad design on my part but the execution is what really makes it awful. Lines are blown out. The lines are incredibly thick and no line is even. One line wasn’t even fully filled in. They are all wobbly and blown out. How can you tattoo and not be able to execute clean line work? As soon as he was done tattooing I pointed out a few questionable spots and I was told that was just my skin raised and irritated that the lines being uneven made it “organic”and if I needed a touch up to come back in 2 months. If I was to get a touch up, the lines would just become even larger and farther from what I wanted.Edit to add 5/23: after 13 laser tattoo appointments still working on getting it off

I’m not one to leave reviews but this time I just had to, I’ve gotten tattooed by marz numerous times and was in the shop getting tattooed by another artist when I heard this lady with her daughter giving Marley the hardest time of her life while she was being completely patient trying to get their tattoo drawn on while she kept drawing and redrawing for her daughter while her mom knocked over her set up and was touching the daughters arm the whole time and just heard marz tell her to just sit in the chair and to not touch her arm and that she can wipe off and draw it on again. And she did do that with this lady giving her absolute hell. Finally she said to just reschedule and to draw on what she wanted and she’d clean it up since they couldn’t find a common ground. Not once did she quote them 1,000 she said her hourly which doesn’t include drawing time from my experience getting a wrap around vine from her. My heart broke as I watched her run out the back crying because the lady threw the piece of paper at her and was yelling and walked to the front with her black eyes (that she came in with) and just made a scene because Marley just set a boundary it’s uncalled for so that’s why I’m writing this. Go get tattooed by Marley, her work is always nice and she’s super nice. Also any tattoo shops should avoid that lady at all costs she is impossible to please

Awesome place. Im happy I waited as long as I did to get my first tattoo. The staff was superb.. The artist Chandler understood my idea and vision and only made necessary changes to make it work without taking the essence of it. All and all, this Tribal Design means a lot to me and took me 3 years to put it together and I couldnt have made a better decision. Thank you guys.

Jacob is the most incredible artist. I will never be tatted by anyone else. His fine line work is unmatched. So thankful to have found him.

Tim’s work is the most playful and fun exotic stuff I’ve witnessed. He’s the best creating artist I’ve seen in my whole time with tattoo. I recommend him and his shops entirely to anyone I want to have a great tattoo. Love him!!!!! Love his shop!!!

A terrible experience from start to finish. Buck didn’t follow any direction on what was asked or shown. He repeatedly pressed so hard into my leg the needle would stall. After thousands of dollars and multiple years it is finally gone. Will never return to blu gorilla in goose creek.

I had a great experience at Blu Gorilla today! J.J. was super patient and did several different stencils for a small script tattoo I wanted. He took lots of time to get it exactly where I felt it looked best and made sure it was semetrical with my other tattoo. Everyone at the shop was super nice and welcoming. Id definitely recommend J.J. and the studio!

Was not impressed with the greeting. The vibe has to be there and we didn’t feel it. Hubby and I wanted to get some work done. Had talked about it for a while and decided to go for it. We stopped in and no one seemed interested. A woman named Bre came out and I started talking to her about what I wanted and she made me feel like I’m a complete idiot and she acted as if she had NO IDEA as to what I was talking about. She just looked at me blankly. I wanted flowers on my upper right arm. I have one there now and I wanted to add a few more to it. She told me to just email her and she’ll get back to me.As we were in the middle of the conversation, a man was leaving and they talked briefly and it came up that she was going to be gone for 2 weeks. Not once did she even mention that. I wasn’t wanting to discuss and book weeks out, I was wanting same day or soonest - not 2+ weeks from then.Needless to say, we left and went elsewhere. I’m tired of stuck up vibes. You’re about to tattoo something permanent on me .. customer service, personality, and good vibes are a must. That’s part of the job description.

Buck did my tattoo of a lotus flower and crescent moon. It holds much meaning to me and it turned out just lovely!! Will definitely recommend to others and be returning for any future additions!!!

My wife and I went here for the first time about a year ago to get matching tattoos and saw Brendt. Hes a great guy and does great work. Today I went back to see him for something else and he came through again! Highly recommend!

Review Edit: I really felt like I needed to update my review. Before, my ***** rating was directed completely towards the artist and not the business itself. Because the artist is no longer affiliated with BG, my previous rating no longer applies. Prior to my initial review I was torn. On one hand, I liked the artist, demeanor, artistic ability, and execution of those abilities. On the other hand I was extremely unhappy with BG as business.After doing my homework, I narrowed it down to 2 artist. I called BG 1st to set up a consultation. I was told to just stop in Mmmkay.. I asked if there was a certain day or time that would be best, for the following week to just stop in. I was told these days @ any time. After hanging up, OW did I mention it took 4xs/2 days before someone actually answered the phone? Anyways after hanging up, my confidence in moving forward was a little disassembled. I explained I was wanting 1/2 sleeve, possibly a sleeve and felt like I was being blown off!!! Like I wanted a name or a fuc&•πg heart or something. 10min walk in $hit!! Idk abt you, but I want 10min of somebodys time before I sink $3000-5000 into ink!! I also feel like if Im about pay $3000-5000, maybe I should be treated like, ow idk, like you want my fuc√ing business!?!?Anyways, I shook it off and just chalked it up to poor front desk help. I can totally relate and have had to deal with that myself.The following week I just stopped in and was a little turned off. For being voted best in Charleston and having been in business for a while, I just expect, idk better. Its a tattoo shop I know, but I have been in shops and I have been in back of the building biker shops. This was just a step above that. Just run down.I stood there for about 10min before I was even noticed. Then some dude walks up and ask who are you here for. I told him and he starts looking at a computer. 1. I have no idea why he was looking for my name considering the artist I was there for was at convention. YEP had been and was scheduled to be oot the entire week!!! 2. I told him I was just stopping in to discuss what I wanted. After 5min of looking at the computer, confused, he says I dont see you on here. REALLY!! WELL NO $HIT!I left with absolutely 0 intentions of going back! There were other artist I was interested in and lack of organization or maybe it was a holier than thou attitude I was just completely turned off!!!Ultimately the artist replied to an email I sent around the time all the his was going on. Because his personal response was professional and apologetic, I did go back.Not every experience or place is like this. I just didnt want people who are new to tattoos or are interested in getting a large piece, like me, to be disappointed by the initial struggle and frustration youll probably encounter here. The reviews are based on the artist, not the business. The business itself leaves much to be desired. Sorry BG, but you did not make it easy for me to give you my money. You even made me question weather or not I should go forward with getting the work. Not cool.

I had an appointment for 2:30 with Dan! I was an hour early and he had two walk in appointments ahead of me. Perfectly fine with me - I was early!Of course it ran overtime, but I would want him to take his time and be precise than to rush and try to get to me faster!He was fixing a 5 year old tattoo and adding on.Very light touch! My friend and I went on my birthday for a small walk in tattoo. The girl at reception was very polite and helpful. Our tattoo artist Marley was excellent she was very professional and made us feel comfortable and our tattoos were awesome!

My tattoo turned out far beyond my expectations!! I went into the shop and spoke with Dan, letting him know what I wanted and he drew up exactly what I was describing. He didnt rush through the tattoo at all and it turned out beautifully. I absolutely love it. Would definitely recommend Dan at Blu Gorilla if youre looking to get any type of tattoo!!

Started as a new walk-in client looking for an artist that could place my own original design permanently.Tristan was patient, extremely helpful and communicated well during the consultation and we scheduled an hour session the next morning to make it happen.I brought my own sketch, he quickly upgraded it digitally and presented me with the finished outline, ready to begin placement.He patiently applied it twice to appease my desire of perfection, then we shared some silly icebreakers in conversation while he prepared the work space safely.This helped to lighten the mood and I was assured to see the care and attention to safety details, the welcome distraction from the impending tachycardia. ❤️‍🔥I cant say enough about Tristan, he made my dreams come true at Blu Gorilla GC!

My son and his friend went in as walk-ins and were seen by artist, Paul Z. He did awesome work, and we couldnt believe he has only been tattooing a few years!! He was very friendly and professional. One tattoo was an American traditional of friendship hands and one was a funky skater tattoo (Toy Machine). The colors were bold and line work tight! Chris the shop manager was awesome, too, as were all the artists we met! Clean shop and I would get tattooed by any artist in the shop! They are all awesome! Cant wait for my appointment with artist, David! Prices were fair also!!! They dont gouge you, but set fair prices for great work, which will keep us coming back!

This was my first tattoo and I cannot say enough about the cleanliness and professionalism of the Blu Gorilla in Goose Creek. I had been planning this for some time and knew the idea of what I wanted. My artist, Brent, took exactly what I wanted and somehow made it even better! Brent far exceeded my expectations! Christina is the most professional tattooist I’ve had. I’ve also never had a woman tattoo me and can I just say it’s an entirely different experience. I can’t even describe how much I loved her, just kidding I CAN. She was gentle, and her line work was impeccable. 10/10.I’ll try to remember to update this with a photo once it’s healed.

Went in today for an appointment with Christina and left extremely satisfied. I asked her in December to sketch some SpongeBob and Patrick designs for me and my bestie as a Christmas gift. Let me just say, she delivered the goods! She sent me the sketches in a timely fashion and in time for the gift. Today when we arrived, she was professional, relatable and made sure I was in a comfortable position the whole time. Not to mention the quality of the tattoo and her handiwork was of course the best part of my experience today. Amazing work!! Excellent artists and very nice people!! Paul did my tattoo and it is amazing. I wasnt even sure what exactly I wanted, but he took my basic idea and made it spectacular. He also told me itd cost a specific amount, then after we got done actually charged me less. Id definitely go back again, and I recommend anyone who wants a tattoo come here.

A month or so ago, my husband and I called in to book an appointment. The gentlemen took our names, gave us the emails to send our designs to and took our deposit over the phone. We emailed Brent our artist and he confirmed that our designs would be ready on the date we had scheduled. We show up on the day of our appointment and we were told we didn’t have an appointment set up. The women at the front desk who is the manager becomes very rude and starts trying to blame us for the mix up. We explain that we spoke to a gentlemen who took our info and said he had scheduled our appointment for this date. She brings over Brent and starts saying that he never sets up an appointment with out a consultation. He then tries to say he never received our email with the designs. After we show him the email, he magically remembers our tattoos but he had already had another appointment set up. At that point we were very annoyed and disappointed because they are supposed to be the best in Charleston. We then start talking about rescheduling our appointment and again the manager at the desk is very rude. Brent then states that normally we don’t set up appointments on Saturday but I guess we can. We ask if Sunday would be better and promptly get told no by the manager. So we go with Saturday because we had no option. Brent then without an apology says that it won’t happen again.We left the shop and after talking, we decided to cancel our appointment. When we called to cancel, the manager again very rude and snarky about the situation stated we would not get a refund. We then ask to speck with the owner. She stated she would give our info to him and he would call us in the next week or so. To date, he hasn’t called us. Overall, they need customer service training. When you mess up, as a business, you need to try and make up for the error. You should never make someone feel like they do not matter or that they are bothering you by being in your shop.

I got my first tattoo done here yesterday for my 18th birthday and it was such a good experience. Brad did an amazing job and was super nice and helpful! He made sure to remind me to focus on my breathing and talked to me throughout to distract me which I really appreciated. I will definitely be coming back for another one soon!

I can not say enough about Jose! Not only is he extremely talented, but he is super patient and takes each tattoo personally. This was my 6th time getting a tattoo done and he blew my expectations out of the water. My sisters got their first tattoo and he was so reassuring and took his time to make sure they loved it and knew what to expect. What a great experience. The desk lady, Jessica, went out of her way for us as well.

A lot has changed at this location the past few months but one thing remains the same and its the work Paul does. Ive been getting work done by him for years no matter where he is. It was hard to find someone new when I first moved because the attitude most artist carry but Paul is quite the opposite. He appreciates every single person and gives every tattoo his all. Hes well rounded in his work which is hard to come by. His custom work is awesome and everything in between. His results do not disappoint.

I won a free tattoo of a black and grey portrait of maleficent from José and am beyond impressed with his work! He is a master at what he does and his art speaks for itself. It was almost a 7 hour process but he knew how to work the needle to where I was never to the point of tapping out. The shop was super clean and everyone was super friendly. José is really down to earth and confident in his craft which made me feel comfortable from the start. I feel so lucky to have been chosen to get tattooed by him because now I can confidently say Ive found an artist that kills it at realism and black and grey that I can trust with many more tattoos to come! Ill be returning very soon for more work and give my whole experience a 10 out of 10!

I had four tattoos completed today 12/4 by Paul at the Goose Creek location and had a fantastic experience overall. I dont know what Paul gets paid but it should be more! He is a. Extremely talented individual with a great personality and very easy to get along with. He was extremely detail oriented and took his time to make sure it was right. I would strongly recommend Blu Gorilla Goose Creek!!!

I was visiting the area and decided to scope the tattoo studios. Was linked up with Paul as a walk-in and he was incredibly receptive. I came in with a vague idea and he was able to help me come up with a concrete image. Ive been getting tattoos for 6 years now and this has been one of my best experiences. Hes very talented, able to work with clients of different pain thresholds, and sets a very good environment.

Blu gorilla is the absolute best tattoo parlor in town, there artists are phenomenal. Chad (artist at Goose creek) is extremely friendly, and does amazing work, he has started my sleeve and Im completely in love with it. He is an amazing artist, and he is just getting started, the rest of the artists are just as awesome and the manager Chris is amazing, all the receptionists are awesome, and overall its an amazing store with amazing people who do amazing work. I cant say enough about this place.

Jeremiah did my tattoo, he was friendly but made a small mistake on my tattoo. He fixed it, but it took some convincing as he thought I was someone else calling. Overall, customer service was excellent. $120 seemed a little high for this, but love it nonetheless.

I just got a tattoo by Chandler and it’s completely amazing! He did a perfect job and was super fast. He was super nice and easy to talk to, and actually knew what my tattoo was from. Love him, most definitely will be coming back for more!!!!

My first experience with this shop was yesterday for their 13th anniversary & $13 tattoo event and I can’t wait to come back for future tattoos! I can’t say enough about how accommodating they were for all the people who waited in line, they made sure to fit everyone in and were so nice and helpful despite how late it was and how long of a day they’d had. I love my tattoo and I’ll definitely be back again!

My wife got a small tattoo that had a lot of detail in it. Chris did a remarkable job. His line work looked incredibly delicate and fine. The shading he added enhanced the art. The tat also healed incredibly well. I think I have found my new artist.

This shop offers professional services in a clean environment that takes COVID-19 seriously. I was recommended by a family member and the artist Brent. I wasnt disappointed. I made an appt to discuss what I was looking for. I wanted a piece that memorialized my recently lost son. When talking to him, I saw ideas forming as we talked and he said he had an idea and would draw it out. That impressed me. I asked if we could use my sons heartbeat which I had and he incorporated into the piece. I paid a small deposit and scheduled. When I went back a few days later, what he visioned was brought to life and I couldnt have be more pleased. Not knowing, he used colors that were my sons favorite that made the piece even more special. He had a gentle hand and made sure of my comfort all through the appt. They price was amazing for the art work that was done. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this shop and this artist but in saying that, there are also other very talented artists there as well. I will be back to this shop and Brent for more work. Thank you Brent and Blu Gorilla for the amazing work.

I can not say enough about the staff at Blu Gorilla! Everyone there is so friendly and helpful but most of all there is Jose. He is AMAZING! I was having a bad day and in need of Tattoo Therapy. He squeezed me in between appointments even though that meant he would have to work late. He came up with the greatest cover up on the spot and it turned out Perfect! Please give him a call, you wont regret it. Jose now has a customer for life!

Ive been here several times for tattoos and this is one of the only shops in the Lowcountry I will go to! Amazing staff who are extremely talented. Paul has done three of my tattoos and he is fantastic! I definitely recommend this location!

Paul is the s#*t just to cut to the point. Im so in love with my tattoo, and he drew it himself with 3 or 4 various references I gave him to combine. It only took about 2 hours and he played some dank tunes during my tattoo!! Definitely my new and permanent artist!!

This was an amazing experience! This was my very first time getting a tattoo and I found it very enjoyable. I went in the building and my first impression was that it was a nice and clean environment. It did smell like cigarettes and some sweet vapor or something like that, but it was not overpowering or bothersome to me and I kind of expected it anyway. I went the guy at the desk to talk about my tattoo and a appointment. (This was a Sunday) He seemed very nice and he help me with what I needed. I did think that maybe he could have tried to be a little less bored and a little more welcoming, but I understand how jobs are. He was able to schedule me for the next day. There was a mandatory deposit of 40$ and I considered that reasonable. As an artist myself, I know that deposits are important for the security of the business. The next day I went in for my appointment and met my artist, KC. I had my tattoo designed and drawn up beforehand and I gave it to him. He took it to the back to work on it a bit while I was filling out the paperwork. This is why I only gave four stars, so that people can see the honesty of the situation. He came back with a almost completely different design. I stared at it for a moment and gave it some thought. It had the key elements in it that I was looking for and so I accepted it. Though I would have loved my design, I liked and respected what he had made for me. It is important for and artist to put their own element in it to be successful. If your artist enjoys what he is working on, it is going to turn out great. It did, It is absolutely wonderful. I love it to death. He really was an excellent artist. For those of you that wonder about the pain, it was definitely there. (I got it done on the front of my hip) Yes it did hurt, but at the same time it kind of tickled. The vibration was really nice. There will be moments when you cringe and try really hard not to move, but if you meditate on it then there will be moments where it feels wonderful. For me there is no way to describe the sensation, though many have tried. It is a feeling all on its own. As for the healing process, I have nothing to say since I got it today. I will try to get back to you about it though. Until then, I highly recommend Blu Gorilla. Enjoy your tattooing experience!

Would give them more stars if I could. My husband and I have been to a lot of tattoo parlors considering he has almost 15 tattoos from all over the country. With that bring said, we are usually treated with boarder line disrespect (Im assuming because were young and look even younger than we are). This is the first spot weve been to that has treated us with nothing but respect. I have been literally turned away from places that thought what I wanted was too Pinterest. Paul was more than happy to do my piece and was so excited and proud of the result. As was I. Brent did my husbands tattoo and it couldnt have turned out better. Between the respectful artists, fun conversation, good music, and AMAZING tattoo work, I couldnt say enough good things about this blue gorilla.

Chad is at the Goose Creek location and he did an AMAZING job on my tattoo. Hes a super nice and friendly guy. He guarantees all his tattoos for a lifetime. His tattoos look so good and he takes such pride in his work. I will never go anywhere else to get a tattoo from now on. I highly recommend Chad to do anyones tattoo. I discovered Paul from looking at my friends tattoos at my school. I enjoyed the deisgns and the detail he put into them. Ive always wanted a tattoo so I decided to give them a chance.I spoke with Paul and he was really enthusiastic and friendly. It helped me solidify my decision to want to get my tattoos. He is very passionate about his craft. He added his own flair to the tattoos that I found on Pinterest. He is also very patient considering the location of my tattoos. (Chest area) I was really happy about my results and I plan on getting many more tattoos from him.

A year ago blu gorilla at this location was amazing staff receptionist everyone. I went in a couple weeks ago and was not pleased by the artists nor receptionist. I will never go into the goose creek location again. I wanted a tattoo and they tried to change the way I wanted my details to be more basic to the way I didn’t want it. Very sadden by my experience. Getting a tattoo should be the way you want to get it based on the fact it will be on your body.

Just lost my mom not long ago, wanted something special to commemorate her. Went in on a Friday afternoon and told her anytime before Tuesday would be fine. She said they could even do it that night I was elated. She took my drawing and my number. Waited Friday night, Saturday, and finally Sunday, I walked in. Dont know where my drawing went, she never called, the guy was nice but failed to realize that was my only drawing. They came highly recommended and this tattoo means so much to me. I just wish she would have never gave me options just to basically forget all about me. I have my Bachelors in Business, thats not how successful business are ran. Unfortunately, no matter how excellent the work is, they will continue to have these types of issues with a front end lagging.

Recently got some work done here. Jose is a true artist and worked with me on what I wanted. There’s a reason whenever you ask around town where someone got their work done the answer is always Blu Gorilla. The entire staff is super friendly and the overall experience is great.

Recently got 3 new tattoos for my birthday and they were all done by Chandler!! He is sooo talented and such a great soul! I will definitely be returning!! ***At the end of the healing process***

I will try to keep this short. My best friend had plans to come here for my birthday and get a tattoo with me. I waited till the last minute and didnt get an appt so i freaked out driving around trying to get an appt for two tattoos. I stopped in at Blu Gorrilla Tattoo in Goose Creek and was pleased to hear they took walk ins. I studied some artist and decided which one I wanted and took a chance showing up on Saturday. Brent is amazing. We had to come back Sunday, but he ended up moving appointments around to accommodate my friend and I before her driving back to Daytona. He took a precious picture of my dogs paw (passed away NYE) and made it into a forever piece of art on my arm. Amazing job Brent. I will be back for more. Thank you so much for your time and amazing talent. And my besties tattoo turned out perfect too!

I can not say enough about Jose at Blu Gorilla! As I am writing this.. I have the biggest smile on my face and my eyes are watery! Jose literally saved me! Two years ago I got a huge piece on my arm that was supposed to be the most meaningful tattoo since its for my dad and it turned into to be my biggest nightmare. I didnt show my arm at all for two years. I would wear baggy sweaters/long sleeve shirts even in the heat. I refused to show my arm because it was GOD AWFUL. Not to mention I got completely screwed over with the price I paid. Now, you get what you pay for. But, what i paid for was ridiculous.. everyone would even ask whats wrong with me. After being insecure and some days I would even cry about it my husband eventually told me to give one more chance. I refused to see anyone or even get another tattoo since I was terrified of the outcome. My husband started looking up blu gorilla and the different artists.. for a few weeks he kept begging me to see Jose and I kept putting it off. I was thinking for what?! I lived two years with this nightmare I minus well continue since nobody would want to work on the mess that was already created. One day I woke up and realized maybe its time. I looked up Joses work on facebook and instagram. I finally gave in and messaged him. While I was nervous and scared of what he would think and think he would push me away since its terrible work... He asked me to give him a call and send him a picture of my tattoo. When I spoke to him on the phone.. I was thinking either he will say yes or no. The worse could be he says no.. I mean I lived already 2 years with the garbage work. He was super sweet and understanding. Honestly, I never met an artist so sweet and understanding but yet thorough. He was straight up with me and told me he prefers not to do cover up or work on someones else piece. Which is 100% UNDERSTANDING. But he also didnt think twice about helping me out. He heard in my voice how upset and miserable I was about this piece. He literally even understood how I am a lady and what kind of lady wants to have bad work? He told me to come in person (Blu gorilla in Goose Creek). When I went in to speak to him.. it felt like I knew him for years because of how welcoming and sweet he was. As soon as he saw my arm his exact words were I need to help you out. I cant have you continue being ashamed of your arm. Within a few minutes he already had in his mind how he was going to help me and I knew I could count on him and trust him. I didnt second guess my self for a second. I let him use his imagination and figure out what he wanted to do. I didnt even tell him what I want. I just wanted him to fix my arm. We set up an appointment for 2 days after and a few hours into my session I was all emotional and nervous to be at a tattoo salon again.. since I never thought id be in one again. After a few hours.. All I could say is.. I started getting so emotional. I had happy tears in my eyes.. I could not stop thanking Jose and hugging him.He literally saved me! Now I can show my arm without a hesitation. My Tattoos look amazing. Its like I never ever had a bad work in the first place. I love Jose so much. I would recommend him a million of times without an hesitation. I will travel days/months just to have him do all of my work from now on. WITHOUT A DOUBT.. YOU WILL NOT EVER REGRET IT! JOSE IS AMAZING AND SO SPECIAL TO ME! My husband has an appointment with him in less than 24 hours and we are super excited. My husband who never shows any emotions at all.. could not stop repeating himself a million of times about my amazing work from Jose. His jaw dropped when he saw my tattoos. He is awesome. I had the best experience ever. Thank you Jose!!

Getting a half sleeve / coverup done by Paul. Just got the outline finished and he did not disappoint. Going back in a few weeks to start the shading. Friendly staff and artists. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for a quality tattoo experience.

This is the second time I got the run around trying to make an appointment with them. There is time available from 7 to 9 then they call you back saying they cant do it .Update: Paul is the best! I got in with him eventually. He is fast and light on the needle! He did a great job

Amazing! (As an FYI collar bone and above is a no go) The shop was clean, organized, and well displayed. The outside doesn’t say anything about the actual shop. Service is friendly, accurate, and attentive. They listen to what it is you are actually wanting as far as design and sizing. Extremely happy with our experience 💗

If I could give 0 stars I would. Me and my friend had an appt and showed up early. The guy, I believe his name was Josh, asked us what we wanted and we showed him. He told me, ill show you how small I am willing to go. It was at least 2 inches bigger than I wanted and I did not want that. He said well I can make it smaller if you want it to look like a giant blob. Also, he said he wouldnt have time to do my friends tattoo because a girl that he knew, that he does tattoos on all the time, showed up at the same time as our appt. She did not have an appt. I understand there are walk-ins, but when we made an appt, dont shorten ours and literally say you cant even do one of them just because you have a regular come in. On top of that he was rude. Just because your friend walks in, and has a bigger tattoo that would make you more money, doesnt mean you shun the people with an appt and say the tattoo I want cant be done they way I want, and you magically dont have time for my friends tattoo. I guess that just means he is not very experienced. Went down the road to another tattoo shop, Rockstar Tattoos, and they did everything I wanted and just as small as I wanted it and did a phenomenal job!!! And did my friends tattoo which came out AMAZING!

This is my favorite parlor. Brad is the only person in this area I will let come near me with a tattoo gun. Theyre polite, clean, and always heal well (Ive gotten five tattoos there). I recommend them to anyone who asks me.

After being told by one of their employees I could come in at 11am on Friday for a walk in, not only did they blow me off but they didnt even give me the option to make an appointment to come back in to get the $60, 30 minute tattoo done. They just kept telling me to come back on certain days for walk ins. Their employees need to all be on the same page for walk in days and not give out false information.

The only shop I go to now. All the artists are very talented, Holly specifically is great to work with and incredibly talented.

Had a appointment sent up with Charles. I came n on my appointment n they gave it to somebody else n they told me we have to move u to a later day cuz the guy who took my spot came late. That is so unprofessional and rude n when I said I was going someplace else they said that’s fine . They didn’t even care that they were losing business. I wouldn’t go here for anything bad customer service n ppl . If I could give 0 stars I would.

I got a tattoo from Jeremiah and when I originally made the appointment I was told that it would be $120, by the artist himself. After he finishes my tattoo he then decides to tell me it will be $200. I just honestly felt like I was played.

Walked-in and they were able to accommodate. SUPER friendly and helpful staff. All around great experience.
