Red Kirin Tattoo

I booked with Geovanna and she was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure my tattoo was exactly what I wanted. She let me take as many breaks as I needed and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. The whole experience from the time I booked, to the time I left was great. The shop was clean and organized. All of the artists that I met were super nice and professional. The guy at the front desk was very personable and welcoming every time we spoke. I will definitely be coming back to this shop in the future and will be recommending it to everyone! Thank you for an amazing experience :)

I LOVE red kirin tattoo! I went to G for the first time and she was incredible. She was very delicate and made me feel comfortable. The staff was super friendly as well. I got a very pretty fine line tattoo. It was a chill atmosphere like most tattoo studios which I like. I am looking forward to going back and getting more work done by G!

Geovonna did such a lovely job! I had high expectations and she still managed to surpass them. Everybody working there was a joy to be around.

Great studio but super disappointed in the fact that the owner won’t get the AC a fixed. It’s constantly 90° in there and I just cant imagine doing that to people that work for me let alone clients coming in and paying hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars for tattoos. It’s unbearable in there and it’s insane to me that it hasn’t been fixed. Great studio with super talented artists which is why it’s 2 stars and not 1. The rating is strictly the owner because of the lack of sympathy for his artists and clients.

Spending 4 days at SC and walk-in for a letter script. Have it with Austin, which is a great artist, and I loved the outcome! The atmosphere is good and the staff is friendly and attentive. Recommend them 💯 definitely will come back next time I visit SC again. Thanks!

Geovanna is a brilliant artist! My wife and I got matching tattoos in Hawaii and while hers came out flawless, mine ended up resembling more of a jail tattoo. When I returned home I instantly came in for a consult and Geovannas wheels started spinning immediately. When I came in for my session yesterday, she had a plan already and worked with me to tweak it and make it everything i hoped for! When she was done, it looked even better than her plan and I am still just blown away! Thank you so so so much!!!!!!!! Every time I look at it I get excited 😆Also the facility is clean, Geovannas ethical practices are flawless and she was very thorough in explaining after care. Couldn’t be any happier with my tattoo and experience! 100 out of 10 recommend.Please see attached before, during and after pics! Also please note that I got this yesterday and so some ink may be running making it look cloudy underneath the dressing. After photo doesn’t do it justice. It’s 1000x more perfect in person!

After being turned away from another tattoo place, we called to make sure they accepted walk-ins and were told that they did depending on design and were invited to stop in and slept them see the design. We were immediately greeted and directed straight to the artist, which happened to be the owner. He was able to provide us a price and printed out a sample we could look at to determine the size we wanted. He made it work for my niece and I and we are very pleased with our ink. They went above and beyond after hearing I was visiting from out of state, my niece who stationed out here.

Me and my cousin came as a walk-in and they made us an appointment for later that day :) receptionist was super friendly and chill, he explained the process payments and how things worked. I didn’t get my artist name but she was really nice and she did a great job. Atmosphere was great and relaxed.

I had a great experience getting tattooed by Alejandro. His work is amazing. Him and his wife were so sweet and the whole experience was great. I found Alejandro through instagram and drove 7 hours from Tennessee to get these done by him. I will definitely be back!!

I absolutely LOVE this place. I’ve gotten all my tattoos from them and they’ve always done amazing work. My latest was done by Vic and he was extremely focused the entire time and when my sister needed a break he gave her all the time she needed until she was ready and even made sure she had a snack so she was good before continuing.

I mean, youd think when someone is at the shop chillin before their listed hours of opening at 12, that they would just sell me a small tube of numbing cream vs making me wait 30 mins. Its not like Im ordering something from a restaurant or its a corporate business establishment... its a tattoo shop. My brother in law owns one and wouldnt turn someone down if he is at his shop at the time. Just saying... Not pissed and not one to complain... but Ive got nothing better else to do then to sit here and wait to buy something...

Had a cover-up session with Geovanna today. It was amazing!She reached out beforehand to make sure I liked the design she was working on. The day of, she was very precise in her design layout and color approach. The care she took in making sure I was comfortable and happy with the piece was above and beyond what I expected. I already booked my next session!Overall, the shop and its team have a great vibe. Very casual and considerate. Enjoyed every aspect of getting my art!

I needed to get a tattoo to memorialize my son, who was an Army Ranger and passed in December last year. I read reviews and called and spoke with Solomon who walked me through the process. He set me up with Alejandro. I met Isaiah as well, Alejandro took the time to comfort me for my loss, etched out a plan and we proceeded.I could not be more happy. Everyone in the studio was amazing and made a hard day so much better. The tattoo is amazing and they are amazing too! Give them a call.

Love Alex’s work, hes done a good amount of my tattoos and is always meticulous about the details. i just went in for my touch ups and now it looks even better when it was already looking great. overall, i love this shop and its very welcoming. you can tell everyone there loves their job

I had work done there before… and I love to support Black owned businesses. The work was great, so I went back a second time. I gave my $100 deposit but the owner fired the artist that I signed up for and felt comfortable with. He then tried to push me off on another artist. With work as big as I was getting I didn’t feel comfortable and asked for my deposit back. He refused to give my deposit back, despite firing the artist I felt comfortable working with. Shady business practices, which is unfortunate… especially since being a Black owned business. The owner then tried to pass off giving back the refund by stating he gave it to the artist and to work it out with him. When I paid the deposit I paid the shop and not the artist. It shouldn’t be the customers responsibility to hunt down the artist to get their money back, the shop should honor the fact that the customer paid them and not the artist directly…

I just had a tattoo completed at Red Kirin Tattoo Studio in Goose Creek and highly recommend this shop. I chose this shop because I liked all of the work that has been posted on Instagram by this studio as well as the recent positive reviews. So I decided to go in as a walk-in with an idea for tattoo that memorialized my 2 dogs that passed a way recently. My tattoo artist was David. @dwtattoo86. My idea was super basic and David said he wanted to work with me on this. He sketched out an idea as we discussed it and asked me to bring in their actual collars so he could recreate them and make it as personal as possible. I love the idea he came up with and am so incredibly happy with it. I think most other artist or shops would have just done what I asked especially as a walk-in and I may have regretted it down the road. I could not be happier with the results. David was very kind and considerate throughout the entire process. He is very talented, personable and made it fun. The entire shop was a lot fun and very friendly. Thanks so much.

Being from Myrtle Beach, I just didn’t want to get a tattoo here locally. Nothing against these shops. Just my gut said nah. So I googled shops not in Myrtle Beach. This was the 3rd shop I came across and I didn’t look any further after looking at the shading coming out of this shop. Shading is my favorite look on a tattoo. I took a shot in the dark and drove 3 hours to see victor. If I could describe him in 1 word it would be professional. If I could describe him in 4 words. He.is.the.answer. I put full trust in him and didn’t look the entire session but just observing the shop and talking with the owner and other artists. Great vibes. Great work. Well worth it. See you all next time, fellas !

Called to see if they could get us in for 6 tattoos to commemorate our good friends wedding a few days before. They immediately told us to come on in. Isaiah was so accommodating and made sure everybody was comfortable and confident that he would get us taken care of. 10/10 if I lived in the area I would be a regular!

The environment was nice and everyone was friendly and down to earth. Isiah is the da bomb 💣. Had an old tattoo years ago like over 20 years old I wanted covered up. Isiah did such an amazing job! You can not see my old tattoo. The cover up looks beautiful! Since my tattoo was on my back and I had no one to change my dressing; I went back the next day and Isiah changed my dressing. Any questions or concerns I could call the shop or stop by. Wonderful customer service! I would definitely recommend Red Kirin tattoo.

I got my first tattoo today with Isiah and it was amazing. Everyone there has an amazing personality. Isiah is so talented and really quick with the tattoos. Prices are also really reasonable and cheaper than most places.

I had Ebany and my husband had Isiah. We absolutely loved them! They did such great work and were extremely personable. It was my husbands first tattoo and he was walked through all of the steps. The shop makes sure that you see everything being sanitized or opened and makes you sign off that you saw it. This is the only place we will be coming!

I love this tattoo studio. It gives off good vibes and appropriate time management to service. Ive gotten my first tattoo here and the person who was doing my tattoo was Isaih, he is the owner of many tattoo shops around Charleston. I can Definitely appreciate his affordable prices and very informational talks that helps you keep your mind off the pain when your getting work done. Ive been talking to Geovanna over Instagram about a tattoo, she was able to fit me in when I came on vacation. The process was smooth, her art is fantastic, and for a first experience, I couldnt have asked for me. Highly recommend!

Came on on a Thursday afternoon for a walk in and ended up getting my tattoo done by Alex. Super chill guy who has a nice vibe and great work. He ended up doing an ouroboros on my left shoulder and I’m super happy with how it came out. He spent about 45 minutes drawing up something after I game him a reference photo. As for the shop itself super cool welcome area with an Xbox and tv while you wait and the style of the shop is very coherent and looks good.

Stopped in today as a walk in, didn’t get a tattoo. Two artists were too tired or lazy. Was quoted 200+ for one inch tattoos, nothing intricate. Again may have incredible work. Not for everyone. Was willing to wait seemed professional. I will never pay 200+ for 30mins work.

From the moment I came in to book an appointment I was taken care of incredibly well, super talented artists here who do all kinds of work. My artist was Alex, I gave him a picture of what I wanted and he made it real. Couldn’t be more happy to have gotten my first tattoo here, highly recommended.

My friend and I celebrated the World Cup by getting tattoos with Alex and we’re so happy we did! Another friend of ours got some work done by him and we were impressed at how crisp his line work was which is what made us choose to go with him. The shop is super clean, everyone is friendly, and Alex is a good conversationalist while he’s working. Finally found my go-to artist in South Carolina!

Have had 2 tattoos done here, both turned out great. Walk-ins start around 5 for smaller tattoos, bigger ones youll need to set up an appointment. Just go in and theyll get you set up, its a 100 dollar down payment towards the tattoo when you set it all up. I got both my appointments within a week.

My sister and I got matching tattoos for my birthday from Eb. They didn’t even last two weeks. She did let us know when we got them she couldn’t guarantee how long they’d last being on our finger but she let us know she would touch up for free anytime. Within 6 days my tattoo had completely vanished and my sisters was almost gone also. She agreed to redo them both no charge but the second time around the shop made us sign a waiver strictly related to finger tattoos and how they don’t last and there would be no free touch ups. I’ve met plenty of people that have tattoos on their fingers for over 10 years with just the normal fading. I’m writing this just 10 days after my second go at it with a picture of nothing on my finger. I told her several times while doing the tattoo I couldn’t feel it. It’s obvious she never broke the skin, hence why I have nothing to show for it 10 days and $125 later.

I had a great experience with the Red Kirin Tattoo Studio. Artist Isaiah did a great job interpreting my ideas onto his sketch and I am very satisfied with my tattoo. Great energy in the building everyone makes you feel comfortable especially wen your nervous. Not my first time in and surely won’t be my last.

Im from Atlanta and when I was planning on going to Goose Creek and visiting my partner for Valentines Day weekend, I decided I might as well get a tattoo while Im there. I had Katie do my tattoo and she was awesome to work with. I already had a design ready that I made and she replicated it very well and I was beyond stoked with the results. The shop itself was very clean and even the outer mural, which Ive never seen on a shop before, was super eye catching so you could spot it easily. Everybody was super friendly when I was there and they were super outgoing. Katie and I talked a good bit about whatever while getting the tattoo done and Id honestly say she seems like the kind of person Id go and get a beer with, which is pretty hard to say about other artists Ive worked with. If Im ever back in town, Ill DEFINITELY be coming back!!

I’m visiting the area and made a last minute appointment and Rache did my tattoo on my sternum. He’s absolutely fabulous and I LOVE the work he did for my tattoo. I came in with a drawing of my idea and he cleaned it up and made it better than I could’ve imagined. The line work is impeccable. I didn’t get any shading because I love the piece as is. I also had the pleasure of meeting Katie and her work is great as well. I would highly recommended Red Kirin to anyone looking to get a tattoo. It’s a wonderful shop with talented, friendly artists and I my expectations for my tattoo were exceeded.

Tuesday we walked into Red Kirin and spoke with Charles about our tattoo ideas and he loved them and wanted to draw them up and send them to us first before us committing to an appointment. We got the drawings later that night and were in love with how they looked. My husband booked his appointment right away for Thursday with Charles and we couldn’t be any happier with how the tattoo turned out. He helped design the tattoo with his awesome ideas and walked us through everything he did down to showing us the expiration date on the needles to aftercare. I’m in the process now of looking for my tattoo and will definitely go back to see Charles.

The staff was a joy to be around. Very Professional when dealing with clients and hilarious too. The staff made me as well as the other clients feel comfortable during the tattooing process. I was suggested by my sister to see Katie for my leg (shin) tattoo. Let me tell you, it felt so good opening up to her in our conversations. My tattoo was exactly how I expected it to be and she is so open for suggestions and little tweeks to the piece to make sure it is perfect. I will be coming back for more tattoos and fixing up my old ones.

Mary Lou did an amazing job on my organic dragonfly sternum tattoo. Not only did she make the experience really comfortable, it was like I was hanging out with an old friend. I just recently had a tattoo done here by Victor and the work is truly phenomenal. He paid attention to detail and took his time to give me exactly what I was looking for. The shop was also clean and all of the staff I met were friendly and welcoming! I really cant recommend the shop and Victor enough!

Absolutely fantastic, I had the pleasure of working with Vic, he did a full color sleeve on my left arm and I am very pleased. The shop is hilarious and does a great job of entertaining and Im glad I chose them.

I had Mr. Isaiah as my artist despite a later start, not anything he did wrong, the tattoo is amazing and really sentimental to myself. I love it 🥰

Great service from the minute we walked in the door. We drew a rough sketch of what we wanted and Mikayla ran with it. Our tattoos turned out better than we would have ever imagined. Great place!

I get compliments all the time about the fine line work. I have 2 amazing tattoos from 2 different artists. You will not be disappointed.

If I could give them 0 stars I definitely would, the slowest and absolutely most unprofessional place i’ve ever been in my entire life. I should’ve asked for my money back after the second hour of waiting for my 10 minute tattoo. Which was finally started an hour and a half AFTER closed.

I called and let them know I was coming and I got here at 8:30 called Multiple times, found the store locked and Dark and on top of that the man said he would let me walk in to help me when I got here and no answer, considering it’s Saturday and it said online and on the door open until 10pm. Very shocked and very unsatisfied. Drove 25 minutes for this.

My artist flaked... i gave a down payment. It non refundable i wasnt told that!! It was several days in between our communication. I just kept getting excuses on my no sketch yet. When i finally got a sketch, it was basically copy and paste on an ipad. You would think. They would send you a to scale but no.. definitely dont reccomend
