Elaine was great, both customer service wise and work wise. She made sure I knew what she was going to do and when she was going to do it. She made sure I liked the placement and encouraged me to tell her if i didn’t. She was quick and precise and the vibe was great.

Got an amazing line work flower by the owner himself and I walked away the happiest customer alive. I get so many compliments on the tattoo, and it healed over perfectly. Finally found a tattoo shop that I fell in love with. Wanted more that I even went back late in the night just to get two more tattoos on Tuesday. The people there are great and have the chillest energy I have met. Both Eric and David are great artists. I will be going back to get a larger piece from Eric though.

1000/10. Erick made the original design much better and superior, great attention to details, and he made sure that I am 100% satisfied before I leave. Art N Soul is a phenomenal Studio. My wife and the mother of my two sons passed away 5 days prior to going to Art N Soul. We wanted a custom tribute tattoo in honor of our beloved. We were paired up with JS. He was professional, sympathetic, and patient. The owner was caring and attentive to our needs. The location is extremely clean and has great energy. JS, who is an incredibly talented artist, inked the piece that we wanted on my two sons and I exactly how we wanted. The focal point of the tattoo was identical on all three of us. I went back the next day for another piece and I have him working up ideas for another piece as a cover up. That is how impressed we were with this studio and its artists. I would recommend you look no further and make an appointment with them if you want a quality piece and great personal service.

Had a small time issue due to miscommunication, and David made sure I was compensated and left extremely happy. This studio has done 5 of my tattoos, and I love them all! Tee is the one of the best artists I’ve seen!

Receptionist was very kind, friendly, and helped with whatever was needed. Stephanzo was my tattoo artist and did an excellent job. Made sure everything was on point and that I was happy with my masterpiece!

Art N soul is an amazing tattoo shop. I took my son to get his first two tattoos and I added three more tattoos on my arm and hand. My son and I both got matching butterflies in memory of my sister who recently passed away. David made sure to listen and create the perfect butterflies for us. David was very friendly, informative, patient, professional, personable and caring! His wife works the front desk and she was so kind and friendly as well. Came in for a consult for a cover up on a tattoo and left with a great piece, absolutely in love. Had a few ideas of what I wanted but David helped me pick and design my tattoo exactly the way I wanted. Turned out great and will be back in a few weeks to add more! Definitely recommend, they are a nice, professional, upscale tattoo studio right in town.

My boyfriend, K, I had tattoos done the other day at Art N Soul. It was his first tattoo!Stephano did both of our tattoos and they came out great. I really liked his technique and the care he took to get us what we wanted because what I showed him was no where near as good as what he actually put together.The shop was nice and everyone working there was so accommodating.We are both planning our next tattoos already!

First time visiting this tattoo studio. I must say, its very clean and I was impressed nothing like the typical rundown cheap studios. From the first encounter with the studio Manager, Stefano and all the rest of the staff there it was a very pleasant experience. The manager is very poised and easy to communicate with (very sweet and personable). Stefano was easy to work with and understood exactly what I envisioned and made it come to life. I cannot wait to come back for future visits to have my ideas become reality. Cannot recommend this Studio enough. Will be back very soon with my daughters and mother for a matching meaningful family tattoo. It was a pleasure to be clients of Art N Soul. Absolutely incredible, always love the service provided here. My most recent appointment was with the owner David and he did the matching tattoos for my mom,sister and I. They came out gorgeous and he was extremely precise and quick with the work. He incorporated the details we wanted and made it personal to us which meant everything ✨️. This is my 4th tattoo with them so far and I will certainly continue to be a customer and bring people here.

I had my tattoo done by Stephen. It was to remember a life changing surgery and I needed it to be special. He understood the task and he definitely delivered! Stephen took his time to draw it out and make sure it was what I wanted. I told him it had been several years from my last tattoo so, I wasnt sure how I would take it and he communicated everything clearly and it was a great experience. I love my art and I will definitely see him again and bring friends!!

Let me tell you… my family and I LOVE Yari & Tee! My sister got a nose piercing done with Yari which came out beautiful and healed really well. My wife and I got two matching tattoos with Tee and they’re gorgeous! They healed beautifully. Tee did our tattoos so quickly, but the line work was so impressive.I would highly recommend Yari for all your piercing needs and definitely give Tee a visit for a tattoo whether a big or small piece, she’ll deliver!

We came here on a recommendation from one of our closest friends when my man was in desperate need of a very large and dark cover up tattoo. We met with Grim who is an amazing artist and kind soul. He used his keen sense of perception to envision the opportunity to create an amazing piece and turned a complex problem into a stunning piece of art!

Art N Soul is a very clean and non-intimidating shop that is locally owned! Dave did a cover-up for me that came out perfect. The artist that work here are very friendly and each cater to a specific style. Dave is a fantastic artist and took his time! Had good conversation with him and enjoyed his background on how he got started in the industry. True risk and reward story. I am very pleased the way the cover-up turned out and will be coming back for future work! I would definitely recommend this studio!

Very disappointed with my experience. My artist was very kind but my ink tattoo has crooked lines everywhere! The design was extremely simple and small so I really wasn’t expecting it to come out so botched. It shouldn’t be that hard to make straight lines. It was only when I got home that I noticed how bad it was, since it’s in a tough spot to see. They did not provide any mirrors or aftercare. Will not be coming back here :( it was a matching tat with my brother Brandon

So i went to David for my first tattoo about a year ago. I loved the tattoo so i came back to get a whole sleeve. David rushed a lot and messed up my entire sleeve. The lower half of it wasn’t so bad but i still had to go to a different artist, 7 souls tattoo shop, to get it fixed. Now this half of my tattoo that im showing in the picture honestly makes me wanna cry. I paid so much for this for it to look like this. All because he wanted to rush and get onto the next customer. He should learn that it’s not about quantity it’s about quality. I highly suggest to anyone reading this to not come here unless you want to pay another artist to fix mistakes. Now i have to drop another thousand dollars to fix this. You’re all better off going to someone who knows what they’re doing

This place has everything! Great customer service, talented artist, jamming music and comfortable private rooms! Came here after reading another review about how well the artists at this location do cover-ups. Other locations told my husband that he would have to have his tattoo removed before they could perform a coverup. We went here and David looked at his arm and confidently said “Oh, I could do that.” And when I say he KILLED IT!!! He literally made my husband’s previous tattoo nonexistent. To say it was a coverup, would be a disservice. David literally performed a Masterpiece on his forearm! He listened to what my husband wanted and didn’t want and incorporated it in the coverup with intricate details.I was tatted by Tianna, one of the dopest and patient artist I have met. She wanted to ensure I was happy with everything from the font to the location of my new tattoos. She has a hand for detail as well and small art. Best decision ever!!! You have to check them out!

I came for a walk in appointment a couple days ago and steven did my tattoo. the woman working let me text her what i wanted and get info over messages and made everything super easy when i got in. the staff was SO nice and friendly and made me feel super welcome and excited for my tattoo. Steven did a great job and I love how it turned out!!!! the other tattoo artist working was also so nice asking me questions. would definitely recommend this place to everyone. it was super clean and the atmosphere was so relaxed and welcoming.

I am giving 2 stars because my initial experience was good. However I have 5 tattoos. One from 3 years before art and soul and one from within the year after. None of my older tattoos are aging and blurring the way my art and soul tattoo is. Luckily its a small Friday the 13th piece, but had I gotten something larger I would be very upset. I am most likely going to have to get it covered up or removed in the future because at only 5 years old and visibly smudged. Im not sure if he pushed too hard or the ink is poor quality but either way I know that its not comparable to any of my other tattoos.Also, I went there because a friend of mine was working in piercing and I believe she was never paid her last sum when she eventally left.

I was not very happy with my experience here. My sister and I had booked our appointments for our first tattoos 1 week before with Stephen. A couple days before our appointments they had to switch the artist due to double booking. After driving an hour to get there, we waited about 30 minutes for Erick (the artist they switched us with) to arrive. When he arrived he didn’t even know he had 2 clients, which meant he didn’t have the tattoo ideas we wanted ready. We had to wait another 20 minutes for him to set up. After reading the reviews, i expected this location to be more professional. We will not be going back.

After searching through many tattoo shops during COVID this is the best one to go to. Not only do they treat you like family, they also care and love what they do. I was very happy on the way my tattoo came out I would highly recommend this to anybody looking to get any type of tattoo done. The environment in this shop is amazing as soon as you walk in, it smells new. They really clean and disinfect every little spot from the tattoo machine to, even the ink bottle. And there tattooing stations are comfortable for hours. Just make sure if you are under the age of 18 to bring your birth certificate.

My sister, cousin, and I all wanted to get a tattoo that resembled our family. All of our schedules are pretty opposite so it was important that we were able to schedule our appointment ASAP. The owner David was very helpful in getting us an appointment with Tiyana. The communication was very easy and we were able to get an appointment the same day! When we got there Tiyana was immediately welcoming and super friendly and funny the whole time. We all got the same word tatted in cursive, and she did beautiful line work on our tattoos. Overall it was a very pleasant experience from the moment we called to the moment we left. Will definitely be coming here again!!

Got my helix almost a year ago, still swollen to this day. i took diligent care of my piercings because i obviously didn’t want them infected or anything, however that didn’t mean anything because the piercer used earrings with backings (you are supposed to use internally threaded flat back earrings) which prolonged the healing process (which i wont be getting to since i just took them out because my ear is too swollen). first time experiences at this place are typically good but overtime you’ll see the work here is rushed & poor quality.

Was recommended by a friend to come here. Have gone to Art N Soul for 3 of my tattoos, specifically Eric, and have had 0 compliments. Everyone there is super cool and chilled out. Highly recommend

Go to Art N Soul for your tattoos!! I have gotten several tats over the past four years. David Pracises tattoos are on point, I love detailed designs and his hands are so light, there is hardly any pain and tats heal quickly. And they are long lasting. Four years later my first tat from David still looks as good as new.

I remember when I found his shop (hidden gem) and I walked in and saw his work I immediately said to myself I cant afford his talent because its impeccable. So a few weeks back my mother was diagnosed with cancer. A way that I have always expressed things is thru art or music. Since I can remember I have always too my mother that she is the Wind Beneath my Wings. After receiving this horrible news my first thought was that I wanted a tattoo that reminds me daily that she is in fact the wind beneath my wings. I was referred to David, the owner of art n soul. I immediately called and was told that it was his day off but if he happened to stop into the parlor they would have him give me a call. Other artists there were more than willing to do the tattoo for me though with something so permanent I wanted to go with a referral. Sure enough David called me that afternoon and after explaining what and why I was so urgent to get this tattoo, he told me to give him a few hours to draw up some things and for me to come in that evening. So first, he came in on his day off and was more than happy to give me the tattoo on that day. Were talking 3 and 1/2 hours plus the time he spent drafting pictures for me. Once I arrived we looked at the drafts he made several suggestions that (thank god) I took or else I may have looked a bit ridiculous. The shop was clean and everyone there was extremely welcoming. Had I gone into the parlor rather than call, I know now that I would have been more than comfortable with any of the artists there doing my tattoo. Thank you Art N Soul for accommodating me in such short notice and doing an absolutely incredible job on my tattoo. If only you could all see the feather on my abdomen you would be certain you are in good hands there!!!!

My girlfriend got a tattoo with color from David. The outline was great and we were excited to see what it was going to look like. But soon enough after the outline she was rescheduled 3-4 times with an unfinished tattoo sometimes him not even getting in touch. It took him months to finish this tattoo and now she have to get it redone. Colors are missing and in the wrong place some of the piece isn’t even colored in. When he did the tattoo on her it was rushed and if not that he was on his phone or walking away most of the time. This tattoo was supposed to come out looking fire but it’s ugly and off color.

I cant comment on any artwork because I havent had any work done. I met them at Inked Out NJ, took a card, and contacted an artist via e-mail. I received a response, but did not hear back after giving my phone number and asking for a deposit requirement and consultation. I called the shop and was told Id have to stay in contact with the artist; the shop will not schedule or confirm my consultation. I lost touch with the artist until he sent a text to schedule my appointment. I asked if we would review what I requested on the same day, but he said he already understood what I wanted. Upon asking if I could have the piece outlined in black he asked What do you mean? I sent an example and he said okay, but I never saw any sketches and he never responded with a confirmation that he understood what I was asking for, no detailed questions, just okay. I also inquired about using the Art n Soul Groupon, but I was told only the owner accepts the Groupon. I asked about pricing and received an hourly rate. After discussing this experience with friends it was suggested I cancel my appointment because this is not an acceptable experience when attempting to schedule an appointment. I was hoping I had selected a friendly establishment to go to for life, but I felt very unimportant and easy to ignore while trying to discuss the design and schedule my appointment.

I went here on Halloween for their special (2x4 tattoos for $50) I made my appointment 1 week in advance. I show up and the woman at the front desk says Oh I meant to call you but I got busy... the artist is running behind with his current tattoo and there is a line and he has people scheduled for later too. THEN when I asked for a refund after wasting my time & gas to get my first tattoo that I was so excited about, the artist comes out and says oh it will only be like 30 minutes can you wait? At no point then anyone apologize and say I am sorry we didnt reach out to you before you came here OR I am sorry I am running late Both the artist and the front desk woman came off as not giving a care at all and they were very rude. The front desk woman then tried to tell me that my deposit was non refundable. Thank goodness the artist said we could do the refund bc yall I was NOT LEAVING without my refund. The artist then proceeded to slam the door after looking very bothered that I asked for a refund for a service that he literally did not provide. Dont come here. I ended up going to Screamin Ink Tattoo and got my tattoo from Eric. It was a clean place with professional workers who are not rude!

I have been coming here for a few years now. I have had about 4 different artists work on me during this time. The work and art they each have brought to the table is magical, inspiring, and beautiful. I have about 18 tattoos. I have been to a handful of places in over 20yrs of getting tattoos and Art N Soul Definitely one of the best spots around hands down with beautiful Art and souls.

My twin and I arrived 12:45 this afternoon. We returned at 2 Bobby, my bff twin discussed the size, fonts and colors. We started about 3pm he was done with both pieces and my name in one hour. All the guys here where cool but i had a very unprofessional experience. first, i made an appointment at 8:30 and they didnt even start my tattoo until 10:30. Second, the artist (David) was on his on his phone for probably longer than he was working on my tattoo. yes it was only a 2.5 inch tattoo but once he was done i had to ask him to go back to fix things twice, things he missed. it seemed like he didnt put i much effort at all. again everyone there was cool and nice and the work of his i looked at seemed alright but overall had a bad experience. Im going to the guy i usually go to (Afflicted Ink in lyndhurst which i wish i went to from the start) to get it fixed because theres still something i wish where different.

Well in all honesty, the shop is nice and the people who work there are friendly. HOWEVER I got my zodiac sign done here last November for my birthday. The price was 250, no problem, however over the course of two months this tattoo was illegible. I used to work in a day care and kids would often think there was a crab on my arm lol. I was very angered. My thought was to get it touched up by the artist, but then realized I would have to make a huge deposit on something someone already messed up, absolutely not. I went to my mothers trusted tattoo artist and she made it look 1000% better than it did before.

Very bad experience, David rushed my tattoo and finished it in 10 min because he had othe people waiting, on top of that he charged an extra fee, like most tattoo places do. They say can you give an extra amount I didn’t think I’d be so big.. anyway he messed up terribly on the line work , lobsided, and held the pen to long on my skin in one area where is made a circle that shouldn’t have been on there. Also left the tattoo less colored on some parts so it’s uneven.. do not recommend David

If you ever need a tattoo or cover up don’t look anywhere else. The people at Art N Soul are fantastic, very nice and very clean David is an amazing artist! Beautiful job with this cover up.Could not be happier!

They messed up my tattoo so bad I am in tears. Its been 4 days .first of my appointment was at 12 he was late and Didnt start my tattoo until 1 something. I should of left !! That was a sign . Second that tattoo shouldnt take that was fast to complete . No wonder why There is so much color mistakes such as shading and color itself put in certain areas and color coming out of black lines. It looks so messy and disoriented. There was color put on top of color because he tried to cover up mistakes on the spot and as the tattoo began to heal the mistakes start to show more prominently. He said that he Will fix it and help me with no cost . What help ?? Why can you just do it right the first time !!! Ive had many other tattoos and this is the worst experience so far . Please dont get any color tattoos here . Its very big piece and it will cost me more now to have it fixed or removed completely. This is so disgusting for someone to do this mess to someone body !!! Do it right or dont do it at ALL

First time at artnsoul and it was a overall great vibe, I couldn’t be any happier with the way everything turned out. I got an elephant done by David and it came out amazing. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking to get some work done!

Dont bother wasting your time with this place, I wish I hadnt. And dont let the claim of being a celebrity artist fool you when it comes to David Pracise. His clients are D list celebrities at best (people like fetty wap and juelz santana are the most famous) and if youre not one of them, he does not give a damn about your tattoo. He doesnt listen to what you want and forgets parts of your tattoo. On top of that, literally 30 minutes after getting tattooed, ink was already missing in some spots and there were too many crooked lines even though I didnt move while it was being done. Now, about 3 weeks later, even more ink is missing and Ill be going elsewhere to get a touch up and add what he forgot. I paid $100 for my tat, he originally wanted to charge $150 for a smaller version with even more details missing (the tattoo is a simple outline on my wrist, 2×2 inches, maybe a little smaller). When I tell people what I paid and what he wanted me to pay, they agree that it was a ripoff. THERE ARE FAR BETTER SHOPS AROUND THE AREA, CHOOSE ONE OF THEM. READ THE YELP REVIEWS.

This place unless your a celebrity rapper ..your not going to get the proper respect for your appointment. I was re-scheduled 2-3 times for an appt by david which was a simple sleeve (coverup) that david had 3 months to work on but ultimately I got no productivity out of him...smh ( Not even a sketch!) I understand artists are human too with families but your also a working professional and your word is your bond in this type of business. When it comes to scheduling ; PEOPLE HAVE LIVES TOO ! If your into wasting your time & money without actually physically getting a tattoo, then this is the shop for you! Not worth the trip , go to starlight tattoo not far from there or better yet inkstudio or tuffcity in the bronx! Art N Soul is a facade its more like Art is Poor!

I just went to art n soul for the first time and got an amazing tattoo from David. I have gotten other tattoos from other artist (I regret now) and they dont even compare to the tattoo David gave me, he was precise and paid attention to detail, this man was focused and ready to go the whole 8 hours of my tat.Ive read some reviews before even going to him, and most of them were bad trashing how he handles there time or had a bad experience which I find crazy. From my experience he kept it real from the jump and told me he tattoos to support his family which I respect, he also convinced me into getting a color tattoo (I was originally going to get black and grey) and I couldnt be happier with the results the color was the way to go, theres no other artist I could think of going to, he even reached out to check if anything was wrong and how my tattoo was healing so I definitely would say he takes pride in his work.
