The moment we walked in the door, Kate greeted us and made us feel welcome. We were there to get our daughter’s ears pierced and she made her feel comfortable and at ease. Kate bonded with our daughter and explained the different kinds of jewelry to her and answered her (and our) questions. Our piercer was Will, and he made the entire experience go so incredibly smoothly. He explained every step and gave our daughter the time she needed to be ready for her piercings. Everyone was thorough, accommodating and kind. We highly recommend Pleasurable!

Went for nipple rings. This was my third time for doing them and my first experience with Pleasurable Piercings. I was extremely impressed compared to the other places I have gone in the past (all reputable). From the booking of the appointment to me sitting at home with my new piercings and reading the aftercare literature, I became more impressed through each step of the process. The jewelry they use and the care that they suggest are superior to any others I have experienced. Sev provided an early consultation and was very knowledgeable and helpful but wasnt available on the day I selected. Will was my piercer and was fantastic - patient and caring. I highly recommend this business for any piercing or jewelry needs.

I have a friend who has gone to this shop for all of her piercings for years, so I decided to try them out. I got dual nostril piercings with Will, and the experience was great.The shop is bright and clean and very welcoming (especially if youre queer/trans/gnc). Everyone was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They have an excellent selection of jewelry available, and they sterilize your jewelry just before you get pierced. Will is a very accurate piercer and hes quick and confident.I cant recommend this shop enough. Ive been pierced at several other shops in north NJ, and this was by far my best experience. Now I know why my friend always goes to them!

Will & Kait are absolutely the best:) I got a double helix as well as my tragus pierced. They were so knowledgeable & guided me right through the process. Got a vertical labret with them after checking all their reviews. this place is super friendly, extremely clean & above and beyond respectfully. my piercer was very friendly and extremely patient with me. i tend to psych myself out a bit, he helped me calm down and get it done. :) easily the best, fastest, and quickest healing ever. they’re incre knowledgeable & their jewlery options are ENDLESS.

I’ve been coming here for 13 years and it’s still my favorite piercing place in the area. Will is an excellent piercer and very friendly, the staff is very kind, the shop is clean and sterile and the jewelry is stunning.

This was my home piercing shop for years when I lived in NJ. Everyone who works there is very nice and professional. I had a mishap that involved being sold the wrong size jewelry a few years ago; Kait, the manager, went above and beyond and took personal responsibility to rectify the situation. Would definitely recommend getting your piercings here!

It always seems to take longer than expected when we come here. Today was a nightmare.Daughter had a 3pm appointment which should have taken 15 minutes. Didn’t get brought inside until 4:20pm!Very frustrating. Plus half hour ride to this shop. What should have been a 1.5 hour roundtrip turned into a three hour ordeal.She said they made her feel like she’d be taken in any moment which is why she didn’t leave. If you plan to visit this establishment, make sure you’re not in a rush.

I took my 7.5 and 5.5 year old daughters here for their ear piercings and had the best outcome. Our piercer, Sev, could not have been more patient with my daughters. Sev did a great job putting the girls at ease and explaining the process in a calm and kid-friendly way. One of my daughters was VERY anxious and needed EXTRA coaxing, and Sev had more patience than most people in that situation would! Aside from the good experience, the outcome was great - the girls ears look great! The staff at the front desk were also very friendly and helpful. I live 30 minutes away and it was well worth the trip.

I love this place. I go frequently (every few months) to get a new piercing and I could not recommend it more. I send my friends who are searching to get pierced here. I most frequently get pierced by Sev who is absolutely wonderful. Clean & pleasing environment. The staff is friendly and funny and accommodating.

I came to buy new chest jewelry here. I was prepared to insert the new jewelry myself at home but it was offered to me by the counter staff for the piercer (Will) to do it for me. He didn’t even measure my previous jewelry he just glanced at them for a moment. I naively assumed bc of his years of experience he just had an eye for these things. I explained multiple times that I had originally been pierced at another shop. When I sat back in the chair to get the old jewelry removed and replaced Will barely said a word to me and just yanked out the old bar and went to shove in the new one with no lubricant. Instantly it was extremely painful so I looked down and saw that the new jewelry was a thicker gauge than what I was originally wearing. He tried to yank it out and it got stuck at first. Again, barely a word later Will storms to stand in the open doorway calling to the other staff to bring him the correct jewelry. Leaving me there my chest exposed and bleeding to the counter staff and waiting room he just kept the door open while waiting. Ever since he essentially dry stretched my chest piercing tearing it from the inside it never healed again and was constantly irritated after I’ve had to take it to multiple doctors and now I’ve removed it. I lost a piercing I’ve had for almost a decade bc of this careless gross treatment. It was a sickening and traumatic experience for me.

From the young woman who helped my 17 year old daughter choose the most appropriate (and affordable) jewelry for her piercings to the gentleman who did the piercing - the people who work here are absolutely the nicest, most thoughtful people I’ve encountered in a service role in ages. The store is very clean and the utmost care is taken to ensure client satisfaction. 100% will return.

I’ve gone here for a handful of piercings (ears, nose, belly button, etc) and recently got my nipples done. I was SO nervous and Will/Kait are awesome walking you through everything and making sure you’re comfortable.Super clean, has tons of options and makes sure you leave knowing how to clean them/care for them.Definitely a great place for your first or 20th piercing, I love this place!

This was my first experience ever getting my ears pierced so I was very nervous. When I walked in I was greeted warmly. Each of the staff member was so friendly and helpful from confirming my appointment, to helping me choose which set of studs for my ears, to explaining what to expect and finally the actual piercing. Everyone was so personal and welcoming.I highly recommend this place for anyone who would like to get a piercing.

The response to the original review was unapologetic and dismissive. I wrote the review originally to help others to better plan their days and time, seeing as how Pleasurable Piercings has no regard for others’ time.

Amazing amazing amazing place! All of my piercings have been done here and they’ve turned out great! Super wide and interesting high quality jewelry selection. I always feel like the staffs entire attention is dedicated to me when I go in because of their appointment only policy, you don’t have to wait in line or fight for their attention because they’re ready to help curate a perfect vision of what you want.The staff was so helpful when I first went in almost 6 years ago now for my nose piercing and walked me through everything they were doing with clear instructions. I appreciated how high their standards are, especially as a minor at the time, requiring ID and a parent present to make sure everything was safe and approved. I’ve gone back for 4 lobe piercings and a conch since and am now planning more! Kait always provides super detailed and educated advice regarding the jewelry and how it will work with my anatomy. The biggest thing that will always keep me coming back is their dedication to keeping customers safe and happy. I went in in May because of a deal the shop was offering and asked if I could get pierced even though was scheduled to have surgery right outside of the healing window. I’m so glad that they said no, turning away business for my own good because the piercing would have gotten messed up with taking it out so soon. They told me they would find a way to work things out when I came back so that I could get a similar deal to the one offered in May so that I didn’t rush into a piercing that would inevitably reject. Not many places would turn down money like that or would have you come back and pay to be pierced twice because you weren’t informed. I love this place and can’t recommend them enough!

I loved my experience here! After having my nostril pierced at another shop, Pleasurable Piercings is above the rest! No other shop compares. I came here to get my nose re pierced because my piercing fell out (from the initial shop I went to). They took the time to show me the piercings and processes. I was assigned to Jasper, Jasper took the time to explain everything, sanitized the jewelry, and had a sterile work area. I loved that Jasper walked me through each step and made sure I was okay. They are certified in their field and I wish I would have gone to them initially for my first nostril piercing. My piercing is healing so much better and it’s healing great! Will come back in the future :)

Treated myself to a daith piercing for my birthday last weekend and got a little stacked lobe while i was there too! Kait was extremely sweet, and even though I was ridiculously nervous (I’d only had lobes and a nostril done previously) by the time I was done picking my jewelry, she had me feeling much more calm. Will did my piercings and I barely even felt them; I actually did a second big exhale on my daith because I didn’t realize it was already done, haha. He was very kind and didn’t rush me at all even though the place was fairly busy. I also saw Jasper interacting with clients up front and they had a very soothing vibe that I really liked. I’m about a forty-minute drive away but won’t hesitate to come back for future piercings! (My only small regret is that I probably should’ve asked about a cheaper option for the ring in my daith — it’s very nice, and it’s solid gold, but I don’t love it enough to have spent as much as I did. But that’s my mistake! The stud I got for my lobe is super cute though and was more affordable.)

Pleasurable piercings has been a spot we’ve used for over 25 + years for myself, my sister and my daughter, my niece. They are known for being one of the best piercing places in New Jersey. Every piercer was the most upright professional I’ve ever been to and The girl, Katie, who works there is always very helpful.

My 5 year old had her ears pierced here today and I can’t say enough good things! The shop is spotless and the customer service couldn’t have been better. The staff is lovely. So warm, personable, and professional and they truly went above and beyond to make it a fun and positive experience for my little girl. Our piercer Sev was wonderful with my daughter and really put her at ease while making sure she understood every step of the process. And the young woman at the front desk with red hair (I’m so sorry I forgot to get your name!) even arranged to have my daughter’s favorite song playing when she went in the room to make her feel brave. We traveled to get here because we were told they are the best and after today I definitely agree!

Went today with my friend and her daughter and friend. I cant say enough very clean and the staff amazing and very informative. Will was my piercer and he was so nice and talk me thru and very through. And the best was no pain!!!! If I could give 10 stars I would just awesome!!! The customer service is great. got my conch here and was originally scared because its supposedly one of the more painful piercings. will pierced me and it was a small pinch and there wasnt that much soreness after for a cartilage piercing. im currently a little more than 2 weeks into the healing process and the most painless healing process ive had. paid a total of $311 but you most likely wont find a good piercer in the bergen county area for less.

She really knows how to make you feel comfortable enough and find the pieces of jewellery that make you feel like youre looking your best! I have consistently gone to Pleasurable Piercing for years because the staff and the environment is wonderful and I have never had a bad experience going there for any of my piercing needs!

Staff is friendly, knowledgeable! I had my nose pierced a couple of weeks ago. The piercing is healing nicely with minimal pain which has not been my experience in the past with another place. The only thing I want to comment on is that they should tell you up front that the saline solution can be purchased for an additional price. Some places provide you with the after care stuff for free. It wasn’t until I was charged that I realized that the saline spray was $10 extra. But other than that, it was an awesome experience!

I cant explain how happy I was getting pierced here! from beginning to end, no complaints. parking was easy, the shop is super pretty & clean, & such friendly employees! they were able to custom make jewelry colors that I wanted, had perfect jewelry, and prices are reasonable. Kaylas skills are amazing, I expected so much more pain but I felt almost nothing. Im a student at Ramapo so this is my new go-to piercing spot!! AMAZINGLY sterile place. I took my 9 year old to get her ears pierced and even though she had been sooo excited her nerves got the better of her and she was scared. Jeff took so much time with her and made sure she was comfortable and knew that she could say no at any time and she gave her full consent. Thank you so much Jeff for taking the time she needed. Went here for a basic earlobe piercing and had a great experience. The shop was immaculately clean, all of the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The girl at the front desk (dark hair with coral ends) did a great job explaining the procedure and aftercare of my piercing. They had a great variety of earrings to choose from, that were very good quality. The piercer, Will, was very gentle and made the whole experience very painless and simple! He did a great job correcting the old placement of my mall piercing from when I was a teen. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

I have to say, I didn’t know what to expect when I went in for my appointment for a nose piercing. But I was blown away with knowledge, kindness and friendliness. Every step of the way was flawless! Then, the next day I emailed them because I forgot something lol and they emailed me right back and answered my questions! I would definitely recommend them and hope to be back for another piercing .

I have been coming here for years with the same piercer until he did my nose piercing to switch out the jewelry and change the size to my liking, the piercer left me a horrible puncture where part of my skin was hanging off. I called after a week believing it’ll go away and was told to wait it out a month and don’t do anything with it. So… I waited and waited and I walked in person to see if there was anything I could do about it but nope he just said it’s scarred and denied he pierced me yet told me he remembers my face but doesn’t remember screwing up my nose even though I told him he has me in the system to look me up but then he tried to put the blame on me as if the hole is part of my pores of my nose, then started not taking accountability and try to direct the issue as if it was a different piercer that recommended me to wait it out but never told me how to handle it when I asked him then kept being rude and said “what do you want” over and over again like seriously the dude changed. I didn’t care for a refund or asked for a free piercing or what ever. At this moment I don’t recommend going to him anymore especially since he didn’t see the scar on my face as a big deal which it is to a customer.(Response back to pleasurable piercings since I can only write 1 review)1. I understand you’re a small family own business which I supported for years2. I came back cause your piercer I been going to created a scar3. The fact you’re business is not taking accountability yet admits that there is a scar there even though your “professional piercer” denied it before I wrote the review is insane4. You only gave me a new jewelry because YOU ASKED ME TO TAKE DOWN THE BAD REVIEW which is sus as hell because the community should know what kind a business this is plus how I just posted it recently less than a few days 3 random customers that went to your shop agreed with me.Enough said.

I have been saying for over a year I wanted a nose piercing but I was too fearful to get one. I pulled the trigger and went today. I cant say enough good things about PP and my piercer Sev. Fantastic! Sev and the staff explained everything step by step to me. It was very comforting. They are also an extremely clean and sanitary place. Definitely recommend PP! Ill definitely go back there for another piercing.

The people who work here are knowledgeable, skilled, kind, and patient. My daughter has gotten all of her piercings here - she recently had surgery and they were so helpful helping her change her septum piercing before and after surgery. They really are the best.

I bought threaded earrings from here about two years ago. The other night - I had to take them out for work purposes the next day. I could not get them out and my wife tried and same result. I called Pleasurable at 7:52 pm (8 mins before they close) and asked them if they could stay a few mins late after hours to take them out for me. I live roughly 10-12 mins away. They agreed. Now, that to me is above and beyond!!!!! Also, I got the job!!!! So, to the owner please thank the two who were working that night to help me.

I set an appt for septum piercing on last Jan 5th and the workers who are very nice and friendly! I met my piercer Sev and Sev was very gentle and friendly also explained to me very clear about what to do with septum piercing! Recommend this place! I will come back whenever if I want to change piercing or add new one! 😊

Went here today for a septum piercing and the experience was fantastic from start to end. Front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with choosing jewelry, and Sev did a fantastic job with the piercing. Minimal pain, very quick, and they gave clear instructions on aftercare and the like. Great Place will def come back for a new piece when the time comes.

So friendly and talked me through the whole process and proved that everything was sterile. I previously had my nostril done 3 years back by Will and that also went amazing! Ive gotten multiple piercings done here over the years by various artists and all have come out absolutely perfect. I respect how professional, courteous, and helpful the staff consistently are, especially the lovely lady who helped me at the counter today. The jewelry options are phenomenal and because of the quality, they last for years without issue. In general, Pleasurable is the most credible and cleanest piercing spot Ive been to and their work definitely speaks for itself.

The staff at the front was great, showed her all her jewelry options and walked her through how to care for her ears at an age appropriate level. Sev pierced my daughter’s ears and had the perfect combination of showmanship, professionalism and pleasant chatter. Enough to keep her informed of all the steps they were going through, while also keeping her somewhat distracted from the fact that a needle was going to pierce her ear in the next few minutes. Overall a great experience.

I’ve gotten 2 different piercings here (rook and nostril) by two different piercers. I have no complaints about the piercers they were profession and explained everything in detail. However, both those piercings have had major issues, despite my following their after care instructions. I don’t know what it is about the piercings done there but I haven’t had issues with my 11 other piercings that were done at other parlors.

I took my daughter to get her nose pierced. The staff was incredible. The girl who helped her pick out the jewelry was kind and very professional. Will did the piercing and he was so calming and really made my daughter comfortable. I would highly recommend them for any piercings.

Bring your check book and be prepared to wait! I wasn’t sure I needed a re-piercing in one ear. I picked out 2-titanium earrings $45.00 each =$90.00. The backings which are a must are priced separately. 2-titanium backs @$15.00 ea.=$30.00. You have to pay in advance. I had to ask for a receipt. I waited 20 minutes before I was taken into room. While waiting you stare at a big sign that says ALL SALES FINAL. The man piercing decided he couldn’t reopen the one ear without piercing. He told me I had to go out front and pay another $40.00 before he would pierce. Paid cash - again no receipt. Had to ask for one. Total bill $167.96. Came home took out earrings they put in because they were so tight they hurt. A total waste of money and time.Anna Stephan

Pleasurable Piercings has always been my go to place for all my piercings . The place is clean and the staff is wonderful. I just took my 9 year old to get her ears pierced. Jasper did an excellent job keeping my daughter calm, informed of the process and was very patient. Very happy with our experience.

Had a very negative experience with this shop and my piercing process. The piercing experience itself was fine, but the aftercare left an extremely sour taste in my mouth. I was told to make an appointment to downsize the rod about a month after my original piercing, and even sent over pictures to the team to make sure it was ready. However, after driving 45 minutes to the store, I was told that it was actually not ready. This happened two separate times before I decided it was not worth the struggle. When I spoke with the team, I was told sorry that its inconvenient and was left at that. Because of this process, my piercing grew a large keloid I had to have removed by a dermatologist and, to this day, I have not been able to remove the piercing (even with help from the dermatologist!). I will be looking at another shop elsewhere to help me with the process of removing it or changing to keloid compression earrings, as Pleasurable has been far from helpful.

So I wanted to give several months after my piercings to properly review. Im very appreciative with my experiences. Even before my piercing, I was able to communicate with staff and Will who gave me plenty of information and good consultation. During the healing stage, Ive been able to keep in touch and theyve been very cool with my follow ups and assuring me everything is going accordingly.Everyones been very professional and assuring throughout my visits so thank you!

I think I’ve found my new go-to shop, as when my helix piercing snagged on my hair and was ripped out, Will pierced it again and made sure to use a bigger disk so I wouldn’t have the same problem twice. (My only question is where the smaller disk came from, since the jewelry I brought in was missing that piece 🤔)That aside, I think Pleasurable Piercings is a great place to get pierced. Will is amazing and completely non-invasive, and the jewelry selection is really nice.

The only place I trust for piercings. Spent so many years getting piercings on my ears at piercing pagoda for them to only get super infected and close. Once I started going to pleasurable, I’ve never had any issues at all with any of my piercings. All 8 of my piercings look and feel great! Highly recommend

I just want to address the experience this woman, Caroline, had below because I was actually one of the customers in the shop she referenced and I feel that her review was unfair, petty and untrue. My sister-in-law and I had appointments and the staff was so kind, they sacrificed their only lunch break in the entire day to continue to assist us. She was literally in the process of locking the door and when you arrived she KINDLY told you that the store was closed but would re-open at 5. You couldnt have waited 15 minutes? In a shop that clearly states appointments only but was willing to wave that for you if you waited? But you somehow made time to drive back and write a scathing review. And looking at your other reviews, there seems to be a pattern of you expressing your dissatisfaction with business and no reviews praising positive experiences you mightve had in the past. It just comes off as entitled and unhappy. Anyway, I was super happy with the service and with my cute pieces of jewelry. I never leave reviews but felt an obligation to come to this businesss defense as they did nothing wrong.

I went here for my nostril piercing and the entire experience was super solid. I spoke briefly through email with Jasper as she assisted me in making an appointment. I booked with Will due to soonest availability, and he was great! I walked in and it was a little busy, though i was still greeted right away. There were a few people working the counter and I was assisted by a gentleman there. He took my info and ran me down absolutely everything and anything i’d need to know concerning jewelry selection and aftercare. He was happy to answer any and all questions i had as well & pulled out just about every selection of jewlery available to me. This was quick and smooth without being rushed at all. I waited barely 10 minutes and was called in by Will and greeted happily. He ran me down the process, made sure I was happy with location, and made things super quick, easy, and painless without rushing anything. He’s a super friendly dude along with everybody else there. Building and piercing room were extremely clean, and the overall atmosphere was just good energy! 10/10 experience with some top tier humans (:

This is a very clean and professional piercing shop. You have to make an appointment online, they do not accept walk ins. I brought my 13 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. They lay out the ID requirements before you go. You buy your jewelry here (jewelry is pricey but excellent quality). Post piercing care is clearly explained. Will did our piercing and he was calm and friendly and set my daughter at ease. We will definitely return here in the future.

I got a nostril piercing at this place and it was so quick and easy. I was extremely nervous the entire day because the last piercing I had gotten was my ears when I was like 4, but I wanted to get my nose pierced. Will pierced my nose and he was so nice and he talked me through it and told me to breathe. I barely felt it at all and then he was done before I could even process what had happened. I got an opal nose stud which is absolutely beautiful and overall the place was so nice.

Super LGBTQ+ friendly, the person at the front desk used gender neutral terms when referring to me which was absolutely appreciated :) Sev performed a jewelry change for both of my helix piercings and they were wonderful, talked me through every step. Love that this place does jewelry changes with safe outside jewelry since I’m on a budget! I was interested in buying jewelry but their prices weren’t within my budget which was expected since it’s high quality stuff! The staff was patient with me throughout a few hiccups we experienced w/ my jewelry change. I’ll definitely be returning after the experience I had today!

What a great experience! I had heard great things about Jasper and their patience with children and so glad I went there. My 6 year old wanted her ears pierced and the whole staff talked directly to her. They explained everything as they were doing it. The place is spotless and every precaution is taken throughout the piercing. Highly recommend!

Great experience!! I am so happy with my piercings :) The staff here is professional, patient, clean, and super helpful. The woman who helped me pick out my nipple rings was very informative and detailed with my aftercare instructions and answered all of my questions. I had an extremely positive experience returning for a second time to get service here. My daughter had her ears pierced here about two years ago.one of the piercing seemed off once we took the original earrings off. We decided to let the holes close and went back for re-pierce. Will was very helpful in showing us that the holes were still there and we put back the original earrings back on and everything seemed to be in good shape. We didnt have to do any piercing. My daughter was very happy. I was very impressed with level of professionalism and integrity.

I had a great experience here with my piercer Will. The staff out front was excellent, friendly, and thorough in their explanation of the process. I had previously researched to find a piercing facility that was a member of the Association of Professional Piercers. The fact that they only do piercings (vs most places being a tattoo and piercing shop) aided in my confidence that I was in good hands.I started out by going over the jewelry options, getting aftercare instructions, and having everything explained while given an opportunity to ask any questions. Will explained the piercing process again and was very quick. It was over in no time. The placement was perfect.Even though this shop is about 45 minutes from me, it was well worth the time to get there. I could have easily chosen between 8 different places in my town. I highly recommend this shop and Will.

Very clean and professional establishment. Friendly and welcoming staff, all knowledgeable about every detail from picking out the right jewelry for you to the actual piercing process and procedure. Will, head piercer, did my conch and double helix and I wouldn’t go to anyone else but him as he is extremely skilled and friendly. Post-piercing of my conch was 1/10 for pain. Never experienced any swelling thankfully. I’m on week 2 of having the conch and already plan to go back for my rook. Thanks again!

Visited the shop today for the first time to hopefully get a snug (due to anatomy I couldn’t), but I got this beautiful new helix instead. I absolutely fell in love with this studio and how friendly very single member or their staff is. I wish I found them sooner and had all my piercings done by them. I will 100% be going back! I would highly recommend this place and wouldnt go anywhere else to get pierced! Ive seen Sev the past few visits and it was nothing but clean, easy, and wonderful. I recently was told I need surgery and they even have surgery- safe options for me to come in and get put in so that my newer piercings dont close up. AMAZING! Kait who was front of shop was personable, charismatic and super accommodating. Will the piercer was kind, experienced and made me feel at ease. Overall a 11/10 experience. I love this shop like nothing else. all appointments are structured so that there’s little-to-no wait when you arrive. Everybody is super warm and welcoming. So clean you can eat off the floor. Prices are reasonable. And they give you Ear Savers so that your mask doesn’t mess with your fresh piercings! What more could one ask for?!

I contemplated getting a 3rd ear lobe piercing for years now and I knew the minute I left my consultation with Sev that this was the place for me. Everyone here is so helpful and incredibly informative. Sev was my piercer and they were the absolute best! I expressed to them my fear of needles and they were so kind and gentle with me which eased all of my nerves. Sev walked me through every single step of the piercing and helped me feel safe. I left so, so happy! Definitely book here! Literally every single person left the shop so happy including myself.

I drove 35 minute to get here, only looking to buy a piece of jewelry and was rudely turned away. Rather harsh greeting considering as a paying customer I just wanted a quick in and out transaction. Their hours are clearly listed on the door Monday 12-8pm , I walked in the door which was unlocked and saw other customers inside, and the girl at front desk shouted at me that they’re closed. Won’t be wasting my time driving back here. Retrain your staff and if you’re really closed randomly in the middle of the day, post a sign and lock your front door. Very bad for business. Complete waste of my time!

I am posting this review because I was impressed. Although, the lady that gave us the consultation was a little short and snappy…she was extremely professional and knowledgable. My daughter got a naval piercing and my niece a nose piercing. Will was our piercer and I cannot say enough good things about him. He was professional, patient, kind and put these girls at ease. It was truly a pleasant experience with him. I would highly recommend!

The girl at the front was so so nice but they didn’t let me go in with my sister to get her piercing and they didn’t even let her have it recorded. I get for health reasons maybe but seriously? What are you doing wrong that it can’t be recorded?They also took so long to actually get us in. They’re not a terrible place but they’re not as great as everyone made me think they were going to be. I am not trusting them with my body lol

Unfortunately they will sell you on being a small family owned business and use it as an excuse when it comes to standing behind its frankly overpriced products.My experience with this business begins with myself purchasing a stud and post for my girlfriend, i was pleasantly surprised with how knowledgeable the staff was. Although the price was high I felt assured i was receiving the best product i could get.Unfortunately she ended up losing a stud and recently decided to purchase a new set. After getting home from the store she attempted to separate the stud from the post, and the stud stem snapped inside the post.She called the store immediately and was reminded of their “all sales are final” policy. She returned to the store and upon further inspection of the stud and stem, the staff accused her of putting the stud in her ear incorrectly. Of course, this did not happen and although she denied the accusation the staff seemed to believe they had seen “discharge” on the removed stem. This same residue was found on the other stud she purchased, that was never removed from the post.The staff also mentioned the purpose of making an appointment was so they could put the stud in her ear for her, to avoid situations like these. However, like I mentioned I originally purchased a gift of the same studs and they made no mention of this practice. If it was that important I am sure I would have heard about it then. Regardless, the studs will be removed eventually no matter when they are originally put in. It is ridiculous to try and pin blame on a customer, especially when the product is MEANT to be easily removable and put back in.This business decided to send the stud in for repair, and it is important to mention that they are not charging us for a repair. However, any business that needs to make excuses and accusations to defend their products is deeply flawed and unethical. The products can be flawed, quality control cannot catch everything. However, the staff took an already unfortunate blameless circumstance and assigned blame to an honest customer.

I recently got pierced by Jasper, and they were SO unbelievably kind and professional throughout the entire process. I got my daith piercing here during the pandemic. Everyone was very professional, wore masks, and even gave complimentary mask hooks to keep your mask from damaging your new piercing. The jewelry prices are definitely a little steeper than some places, but the quality of the jewelry holds up so you know that metal will not cause infection, as it cheap jewelry has in the past for me. Their selection is also large, offering lots of different options for every piercing they offer. The piercer himself was great. He was extremely amicable and did a great job. Definitely recommend this place!

I really liked the place! They had a very relaxed environment and Amanda was a great piercer! Originally, I wanted to get an eyebrow piercing but she advised me against it since my eyebrows were a bit flat and it could lead to scarring and long term damage, so I opted to get doubles and my right helix pierced. I only wished it wasnt so expensive (i ended up paying $208), but Id rather pay that much now for a good piercing than a doctors bill for a quick, cheap piercing. 10 out of 10 recommend!

My first experience at pleasurable piercings was wayyyy back in the year 1995....Lou was the one who did all my piercings, and ino joke, it really was a pleasure.(Wonder if that has anything to do with the name)?Anyway almost e decades later, Will is holding it down in the very same way . Just professionals from the time you walk in, to stupid questions about your friends questionable choice to get pierced and the first place place they could find ,and it got infected pretty bad, and even though they didnt get pierced at pleasurable, he still was there to help.You can probably go somewhere cheaper, quicker, and closer to your home. But you will not get the kind of genuine caring service and attention to detail that you get at pleasurable.Not to mention beat quality jewelry you can get!

Went in to place an earring back in my ear. The place is clean, front staff is friendly. My piercer didn’t clean the area around my piercing before placing the earring back, I don’t know if that was protocol..

Ive been going here since it first opened. Theyve always had the best selection of jewelry available. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The piercers have always been easy to work with. Understanding and gentle. Ive had 18 piercings done so far. More to come. I wouldnt go anywhere else. The cleanliness is above and beyond what Ive seen other places go to. I know Im not going to get a infection from being pierced there. It has a nice relaxing atmosphere. A great place to get your first or tenth piercing.

In the past, Ive walked in to pick up replacement jewelry and got good vibes from the staff, so I decided to come back for a new set of piercings. While the jewelry selection is top notch, the service from their newest piercer, Amanda, was not. I found her to be kinda rushed, and, not to mention, rude towards my cousin who was a potential customer. (This cousin is now going back to a studio in Philly for their future piercings). When I expressed disappointment in her work she offered to redo it, but I guess her offer was only good for a month. (I was scheduled to travel for a few months.) After about 2 weeks of not answering my email, to which I accepted her offer, I hit her up again to inquire about the jewelry that she had pierced me with. I wanted to make sure it would be safe for me to remove the jewelry myself of if it was recommended to go into a shop. Two weeks went by, and still nothing. Even if she wasnt up to honoring her initial offer, I had a legitimate concern that she completely ignored. So my take away from this experice is to come in for a proper consultation. Had she spent more than 10 minutes with me her work wouldve turned out as desired, and I wouldnt be leaving a two star review. Again, the jewelry selection is top tier so you can rest assured that this shop doesnt pierce its customers with junk.

From start to finish this was the best piercing experience I have ever had in my life. Sparkling clean, I’m fairly confident I could have eaten off the floor had I been so inclined. Of course every review is based on ones own personal experience and my own experience with Pleasurable piercings in Hawthorne has be nothing short of 5 stars. I’ve had Jasper twice personally and Will once for my son and both are excellent at their craft. The staff is professional and informative and will let you know if they feel that your anatomy would not do well with a piercing you desire. They are more worried with your ability to heal properly than a quick buck. I’ve seen comments on here with poor reviews for the cost of piercings or waiting time etc. which are unfair in my opinion. The piercings themselves are NOT expensive, it’s your jewelry OPTION that can make or break the bank. They provide a very wide variety of options for their clients so it can be rather inexpensive for any piercing you’re looking for. They aren’t a mall kiosk that uses the same gun for everyone that walks by and has little to no sterile procedures and fake jewelry. This is an entire professional & safe (health wise) experience at Pleasurable Piercings so you get what you pay for. And as far as time goes, it’s first come first serve so call ahead to see how busy they are if that’s your concern. Happy Piercing!

I went here to get my eyebrow done after years of wanting it done, but not committing. Its my 5th piercing and this place was by far the most professional place Ive been to. Jasper was excellent - they were clearly knowledgable, very patient and took the time to ensure I was going to be happy with the location of my piercing. They were also professional and kind while piercing. I couldnt be happier and I cant wait to go back for my next piercing.

I’ve had several piercings in my life, and this was by far the best experience.I went with my friend to get pierced together. She was getting her navel done and I was getting my nipples done.We were immediately greeted at the door and given all the information we needed, plus more. The place was clean, welcoming, and professional. It felt almost like a doctor’s appointment; that’s how safe and clean it felt.My friend and I both got pierced by Jasper. They were incredibly friendly, made us feel comfortable, and was an around great conversationalist and professional piercer.I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone.

Took my mom here to get her first earlobe piercing and she was very very nervous and worried about the pain (even though she had three kids!!!). Julie (front desk) was super patient and helped her pick out her earrings and explain after-care to her...even repeated herself super patiently because mom was so nervous she forgot within minutes and asked her to repeat it again. Ive had many piercings done before and I have to say hands down that this was without a doubt the best experience Ive ever had. Let me start with the shop itself. Its clean, well organized, stylish and comfortable. The staff. Incredible. They were all well educated, thorough and had an answer for everything without hesitation. I felt relaxed and not rushed at all which is refreshing. The man in the front was very detailed and took his time in explaining everything very well. Will was my pericer and did my dermal on my cheek. He was professional, sanitary and did an amazing job over all. Im extremely satisfied with my visit. I only get pierced here, and everything has healed no problem. It is the safest place around and the people who work there are the nicest and coolest people you will ever meet. It is worth every penny.

The covid protocols are great and allow for a really comfortable experience. I was pierced by Jasper, who made me feel really at ease. They explained everything they were doing and did a great job walking me through the process. Everything was super clean and sanitized. Overall, I had a great experience here and will definitely go back.

Jasper and Darling are amazing!! So professional, caring and knowledgeable! I am visiting from out of town and my nose piercing was bleeding and irritated even after a month from having it pierced elsewhere. I went in and Darling had Jasper assist me. My nose piercing is 10xs better then it has been. Their recommendations for a titanium 2mm nose stud is absolutely great. I haven’t had any bleeding or irritated and the swelling has gone down too! Thanks again! ♥️♥️♥️

Although I wasnt able to get pierced here due to anatomy contradictions, the customer service here was amazing. I came here with my best friend and she had a million questions and they were so patient with her in answering all her questions and recommending piercings that would suit her anatomy.

Had a great experience! i got my belly pierced! the guy who did my piercing made me feel super comfortable and calm. he was quick and easy and always kept telling me what he was going to do next, which i personally liked. before entering the room, the customer service team made sure that i was aware of all of the precautions when it comes to taking care of the piercing. definitely coming again for possible ear piercings!!! :)

I went here for my first cartilage piercing, and they really went above and beyond. The staff explained everything to me and were so nice and helpful. They have a large selection of high quality jewelry. The store is clean, and I would definitely go back if I decided I wanted another. No complaints.

So disappointed. I went there after I saw the reviews but I am disappointed .After speaking to the piercing artist, I let him know that I specifically wanted my navel piercing to be on the same spot my old one was (at least the top part) and he agreed no questions asked, matter on fact he marked it on the old spot and he pierced it above it!!Now i am left with a new piercing and a hole under it as if its another piercing. Me getting it re done was so that I can somewhat cover the old one. After I told him that I wanted it on the same spot he just said “it heels faster that way” because of skin tissue(if that was the case, he shouldnt have pierced me at all because that was my 3rd time getting it done, on the same spot where the needle first goes. Maybe that could have been discussed before getting it done! No.Skin Tissue is where the needle first goes in not on top. The top part was heeled fine.

I got nipple piercings here in January this past year. I walked in just to look around because I was thinking of getting them and they were so kind that I ended up getting them done there! Everyone was very kind and the prices were reasonable. I followed instructions of aftercare and had absolutely no problems since and even during it wasnt bad. Obviously it was somewhat painful however the piercer was very kind and patient with my own needs regarding the piercing. I would love to go back for other piercings in the future!

I got a dermal and rook done here and it was such a great and quick experience !! They were very nice and everything was clean, they made sure to inform me on aftercare and everything with the piercings. I also received cleaning solution. Overall very nice and polite, would definitely come back 10/10!!!!

Ive had my facial piercings done here many years ago. The quality of their customer care and knowledge has remained excellent even after 10 years of me last visiting the parlor. I went in for a jewelry purchase recently and the person who helped with it was so nice and knowledgeable. They have an excellent selection with quality jewelry. The parlor is also taking great care in covid-19 precautions so at no point in time did I ever feel unsafe. I cant reccomend this place enough.

Not so much on time (approx 30 min behind in schedule) but the wait is worth it. Very professional and the establishment is extremely clean! Once they have a few people inside, they make others wait outside to keep the 6ft apart rule. Felt good and they explained everything in detail. Once in the room for the piercing, the process was very quick. Definitely coming back! (My piercer was Will).

Took my 6 year old daughter to a typical ear piercing spot for kids and a few days later she mistakenly snagged one of the earrings and it fell out. I couldnt get the earring back in myself and the place where we originally went said they wouldnt do it until the hole closed, at which point they would need to recharge me for the piercing and a new set of earrings. I called Pleasurable Piercings and they couldnt have been more helpful. The daughter at the front desk and owner (I think) were amazing. She eased my daughters fears by telling the story of her dad piercing her ears in third grade. He was the perfect mix of calm and matter-of-fact that my little one needed to stay still. I think we were done in under 10 minutes. My little one said now theyre professionals mom...and they have style. Thank you, Pleasurable Piercings!

I was glad to find an APP piercer in my area who does not run by appointment! I was quickly taken care of by the staff at the front counter to select jewelry for my septum piercing. They even told me that I did have the right anatomy for it. They carry the aftercare wash I prefer so I didnt have to buy onlike. Ill be getting it from here as I always prefer to buy local if possible. Will was very professional, efficient and hygienic. Will definitely come again for when I need jewelry upgrades and for future piercings.

Cleanest piercing spot i have been in!! So happy i stumbled upon this place. I went here to get my a conch piercing, and from the second i went the place seemed super clean and sanitary and the women behind the counter were super nice and helpful, gave me before and after instructions and right away answered all my questions. Now my piercer Kayla was amazing! Loved her, she went over everything in detail about the process of doing it, she helped me find the best spot for the piercing and let me kind of move it to my liking as well. Room was well lit and SUPER CLEAN. Kayla also went over the aftercare again to make sure i understood everything and when i called the next day she was super nice in answering more questions that i had!! Would for sure come back here for more piercings, cant wait!!!

I have been going here for awhile for my ear piercings, but most recently I went for my navel piercing! Sev was very informative with the whole process (consultation to the actual piercing). I am so glad with how my piercing looks & cannot wait for it to heal :)

Came in for the first time to get my Daith pierced about a week ago and I’m very satisfied with the overall experience. The staff is SO friendly and knowledgeable, explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. The piercer, Will, talked me through the whole process of the actual piercing. They also have a very nice selection of jewelry. Definitely would recommend this place :)

Have had mixed experiences with this shop.I went in a couple years ago to get my rook pierced, and had a wonderful experience then. The piercer and staff were all super thorough and detailed.However, I recently went back in to get my daith pierced and saw a MAJOR downgrade in their service and quality. The piercer himself was a good piercer, but very quick and antsy to get me out of the room. I am now having problems with my daith, and emailed them. Their email person only works Sundays, so I had to diagnose myself. When I did get a response, they told me to just leave it alone- with no other options.After switching my piercer, I realized how their service is lacking and WAY overpriced.Dont waste your money. There are better piercers in the area that have better service and better piercers for less money. Do your research. :)

I have brought my daughter here twice for ear piercings. The staff is extremely helpful, kind and professional. It is safe and clean. We drove about an hour because we wanted to make sure we did this the right way.

Will did my second lobe hole on each ear plus a conch and helix on my right ear. Staff are super friendly and knowledgable - they checked my ear shape before agreeing to pierce it to ensure that the piercing would heal well and look great. The place is so clean! My piercings were virtually painless and are healing up nice. I am super impressed and would recommend this place to everyone!!!

I went to another piercing spot in Jersey city.They did an absolute terrible job!I had to close my hole and do my research and that is how I found Pleasurable Piercing.I AM SO HAPPY THAT I FOUND THIS PLACE!!The staff is absolutely friendly, professional, and they educate you very well.Will is a CERTIFIED piercer!If you have to take a drive to get to him. DO IT!The facility is absolutely clean.The jewelry is official and not cheap.Again, he is certified. He explains what he is going to do, the jewelry is sterile and it came out perfect!Dont waste your money on fake piercer who do not know what they are doing. They use cheap China made jewelry. Even though places say they do Tattoo AND Piercing go to a APP person like Will.

I came to see Jasper for the 4th time about a week ago.We met for a simple bead change a couple years back and I was touched by his patience, kindness and overall graciousness.This may seem like a very particular choice of words but I trust you’ll get it when you meet him.When I wanted my new piercing, I naturally thought of going to Pleasurable.The day after, however, I was not 100% satisfied of its placement and called back, a little nervous, to ask what could be done.Again, those three words describe Jasper best in the interaction we had over the phone, his listening, and offering make the situation right.I went back to have the jewelry removed.The hardest part was to wait to heal before being able to pierce again!Today, 6 days in, I am SO HAPPY.So, so, so incredibly pleased!!It went great and my new piercing is now 100% perfect!I like that he took the time to look at my anatomy to ensure the piercing would look good once all was done. I was actually discussing another one I was thinking of and he very clearly and gently explained why that may not be a good choice for me. It made total sense!The whole staff there is really nice to be honest, and make you feel at ease from the minute you walk in. The overall ambiance is great, no matter how busy. It’s hard to explain. I trust the staff here with my family and that in itself should say quite a bit. As a healthcare professional I expect a piercing establishment to be clean and make the customer feel secure and safe; Pleasurable is honestly cleaner than some of the clinics I have worked in and the steps they take to keep the customer safe and the environment hygienic are admirable to say the least. The staff is friendly, caring and professional and you wont find another place that is going to provide this level of personable customer service and fun. I brought my family here for everyone to get pierced and I would go back again and again. In fact my 7 year old who was afraid to get her lobes pierced actually had fun and my wife was elated at how painless Will made the entire experience for her as well. So far Will has done 3 of my piercings and I intend on keeping him as my only piercer.Update: Weve been back! Kayla is just as amazing, caring and professional as Will. You really cant go wrong here! Great staff all around!

Great place. You never have to worry about getting a piercing here. They’re on point and very sterile. Jewelry is pricey, so if you’re on a budget just make sure you ask for options within your budget. But the jewelry is beautiful.

The establishment was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. I actually fainted (due to anxiety) and the staff was very knowledgeable in how to handle the situation. They elevated my feet, gave me a lollipop and some water. They were kind and assisted me the entire time. The piercing itself hurt less than the flu shot. It was over in barely a minute. Very happy with the results!

Incredibly professional, patient, and kind staff. My piercer explained the whole process of what she would do before starting the piercing. She told me she would give me a countdown so I could take a deep breath in and out so as to lessen the pain. However, she forgot to tell me when she was piercing, and I had no idea it was happening until I felt the needle go through my ear. I wish she would’ve given me some warning because I was a bit shocked. Other than that, great experience and it is healing beautifully!

Ive been here twice in the past year or so. Once to get my bridge pierced, and again today to get some advice and buy a pair of plugs. Everyone Ive spoken to at the shop is great. Theyre all very friendly and helpful. The shop is exceptionally clean, the jewelry used for new piercings is very high quality (they anodized a titanium barbell for my bridge and sterilized it while I waited for my turn), and the wait was pretty quick. Theyve also got some really nice looking jewelry in stock and it was pretty hard for me to just go home with a single pair of tunnels today. The prices are a little higher than your average shop, but you definitely get what you pay for and its worth the extra cost for a better experience and better jewelry.

It was my first time going into an actual piercing shop cus my experiences with piercings have always been Piercing Pagodas in malls, but I definitely have learned my lesson! Will is pretty knowledgeable and very, very patient with my questioning in order to further educate me about placements and the anatomy I can work with on my own ear. He responds pretty on time for the most part; the staff are willing to provide options and honestly, they are very upfront with you if they see you hesitant about your options in a budget. Kait & Will as well as the guy who takes temperature checks and the other blonde lady in the cashier area are all so friendly and helpful! I’ve been going to them twice now, and going more for piercings after my first one! I highly, highly recommend despite jewelry being on the pricey side, but definitely worth the investment! They look at your existing piercings to select options of jewelry to compliment your ear(s) as a whole, which is a definite plus!

I visited this shop yesterday with my friends and we had the most amazing experience ever! We were helped by the sweetest girl named Kait. She explained the piercing process, DOs & DON’Ts, and chatted with us to help the time pass by. My piercer was Amanda and she was also a dream! She walked me through ever step and answered all my questions. I told her it was my first time getting a piercing (aside from the lobes I got at a young age) and she made sure to be as gentle as possible. Needless to say, I’ll be back very soon!

I got both of my nipples pierced here in June. One of them was slightly crooked (possibly my fault- it was the first one done and I was fidgety), so I emailed Will and he said to take it out and they would repierce it for free (and they did). Everyone there was so friendly and knowledgable both times I went. Place is very clean and comfortable. Will definitely go back if I want another piercing!

I have had 2 nose piercings and 1 philtrum piercing (prior to the pandemic) done at Pleasurable and would never consider going anywhere else for future piercings! I’ve been pierced by both Will and Jasper and each did a fantastic job of providing a fun and mostly painless experience. The entire staff is both knowledgeable and skilled in the art of piercing and they do a very good job of explaining proper care for your piercing after, as well. Today i went to this place because i had taken my daughter to get her 2nd ear piercing at a different place 2 weeks ago. Within a week, her earings started to get swallowed by her ear, it was so bad that we ended up in the ER twice, and ended taking antibiotics. When we arrived at Pleasurable Piercings, we were very pleased to see how great was the service, the cleanliness and the COVID protection protocol. They were so nice, listen to our concers, and were so friendly. They swapped my daugther earrings and now all is good. I really recommend them.

This place was great! Just went with my daughter to get more ears pierced, they were excellent! Took the time to explain what will work and what will not work with her ear type, even though they lost a few dollars recommending a cheaper earring that would work. To me, thats top rate in my book. Got a double helix piercing 3wks ago and it was a good experience. Clean / sterile place and knowledgeable staff. I had a helix piercing done 30 yrs ago and wanted a good quality earring since this piercing gets irritated easily with anything that isn’t SST TI , so I returned here to buy the earring and I had the pleasure of meeting Kayla. Even though all I needed was for her to put my hoop in, she was so nice and friendly and very knowledgeable. Kinda wish she had pierced me when I went for my double helix lol. No offense to my original piercer :) all in all, everyone is friendly & professional. Definitely will return if I decide I want another piercing:)

I came here for my second piercing ever . The last one I had, I was a fetus and had zero memory of it . Jasper was my piercing artist and was so sweet . I first came to Pleasurable Piercings in high school. (I had my mom present who had to sign release) I got a cute helix and didnt realize this would be my go to place after that. Fast forward to today and I had all 3 of my piercings done here. (I know sooo many LOL) I would like to point out a few things but first has to be how clean they are. Cleanliness is obviously #1 when you look for any type of tattoo or piercing studio. Next is the staff are VERY knowledgeable and professional. I recently went in on 7/12 for an anti-tragus but Jasper took a look at my ears kindly and respectfully advised it would not be a good idea. This was due to my anatomy and thats OK I rather be told no in a respectful intelligent way than Jasper just pierce me and I have difficulties down the road with it. Jasper made my whole experience super easy and stress free. We did a helix instead. I always recommend PP when my friends are looking to get pierced. I might have a high pain tolerance OR Jasper is just experienced and knows how to make it less painful. ANYWAY 10/10 would recommend again- also try to Jasper! THANK YOU PP for another life long pleasure. ;)
