Cameron Dollinger is hands down my favorite artist! His work is very thoughtful and beautifully crafted.He has a lot of patience and provides above and beyond services and creates an awesome environment with a great music taste. I will continue to go to him for future tattoos and recommend him to all of my friends!!The shop is also very professional, clean and welcoming. An overall great experience all around. :)

I had an amazing experience with Cassidy getting my first tattoo! She was very professional and friendly! I gave her some ideas and she helped me come up with a gorgeous design! I will definitely come back and get more tattoos with her!

Ive gone to Cassidy 3 times now, and shes so sweet and always makes sure Im comfortable and that I actually love the placement and the tattoo itself. Shes very patient and always reassures me that I can move it if needed. She also has such clean lines and is so fast, I would definitely recommend her.

Cassidy was super nice and friendly during the entire session and the place overall had an amazing vibe! I just got a piece from her and I’m already in love with it and have gotten compliments right away! I 10/10 recommend coming here and I will 100% be coming again!

Super legit Artists and absolutely the best service hands down.The work Nick has done has surpassed my expectations and he continues to surprise me with his above and beyond Artistic Talent.My full arm/shoulder sleeve is 4 sessions (18hrs) in and I am beyond happy with how it is turning out.

Recently had an appointment with the artist Matt. He’s done 9 of my 10 tattoos (the one photoed is the cover up he did at this recent appointment). He always does amazing work and is very thorough in his consultations. Can’t recommend him enough! Everyone at this shop is knowledgeable and talented!

EXTREMELY PISSED OFF AND DISAPPOINTED!!!I scheduled an appointment with Matt. I literally prepared and took a day off of work, losing $200+ in wages. I showed up, only for him to tell me he didn’t schedule me and had someone else on his chair. No notice. No knowledge that I wasn’t scheduled. I asked if anyone else could do it for me and of course I was told no. I was to reschedule for WEEKS OUT. So I sucked it up and rescheduled.I work so much and also take care of my husband who has cancer so I can’t just schedule it on just any day. So either I lose work or have to wait for weeks on end!Yet again, I took today off of work. Today I received a text from him telling me he couldn’t do it today and so we need to reschedule and then tells me we can do it on Sunday. Ummmm well?? I WORK!!!I’ve lost over $400 in wages for a tattoo that would’ve cost me a little under under that. Yet I have no tattoo to show for my lost wages.They do charge a deposit in case someone doesn’t show up, but they don’t hold themselves financially accountable for when THEY don’t saddle up and show up.This tattoo is such an personal emotional gift from my kids. Even more emotional on a total different level was the fact that I wasn’t even on the books, while thought of showing it off to my kids as soon as I started, while doing it, and the end result. Instead, I had to leave and tell them that I wasn’t even on the I books. I stood in the lobby in from of Matt and we both made that appointment.

Amazing experience at Breaking Ink. I saw Nick Salzman to fix my cover-up-gone-wrong, and he made it look like a brand new tattoo! 10/10 would highly recommend. Great atmosphere and good vibes the whole time. I will be going back!

Beyond satisfied with my experience at Breaking Ink and Nick Salzman! He did a flash piece for me years ago, an unalome on my sternum. With me chest exposed, he was extremely professional and made me feel totally comfortable!I had a piece done by a different artist (never affiliated with Breaking Ink) that I wasnt satisfied with. It felt unfinished but I had a vision and I knew Nick would be able to execute it. When I reached out to him about reworking/adding to my existing tattoo, his books were closed but was willing to take on the project!Before we started, he made sure I was happy with the layout/design even making suggestions. It was very much a collaborative effort. When the stencil wasnt laying right, he FREE HANDED a lace detail that I never even thought about adding!! Ive never felt heard by any tattoo artist ever, the entire process wasnt rushed at all. It was supposed to be around 3 hours but we were able to finish 2/3 of it in 6 hours, WOW! Cant wait to finish it in a month!There arent enough words to describe how awesome he truly is. Incredibly authentic with such a beautiful soul!

My husband and I booked tattoos with Cassidy, and did not have a good experience. She barely said two words to us during the appointment, and was even downright rude despite knowing it was my husband’s first tattoo and he was very nervous. I sincerely hope she had a horrible day and isn’t like that all the time.The shop itself seemed fine, but I do not recommend booking with Cassidy.

Erik was great! So personable. Very light handed, but work is still phenomenal. Can’t wait to get back on his books for more work. Shop overall is very welcoming and clean. Highly recommend them

Great place. Very happy with how my tattoos have turned out from here. I will come here for any future tattoos.Went to Cassidy for my first tattoo, which was a very simple and small line tattoo turned out well, I recommend her.For my second tattoo, which is a Medium size one on my forearm I went to go see Brian and he did amazing job, even with doing it in 30 minutes, which I was surprised. If you want an experienced tattoo artist, I couldn’t recommend him more.

My artist was way too modest. I cant believe how great it turned out, beyond what I imagined from my original design ideas. My biggest surprise is the complete lack of plasma, pain, and swelling (picture from 2hrs after).

Breaking Ink is a very clean and professional tattoo studio. Brian Long is awesome and very good at what he does. I had 2 different tattoos done on 2 different sessions. I chose Breaking Ink for my most recent tattoos because I have heard great things about them. Matt Ostella was great to work with. Very detailed oriented and down to earth. He has knowledge of his profession and does a great job. I will definitely make another appointment for more. Here are my babies actual paw prints. 🐾

I depend on the reviews before making an appointment. This is my first time to get ink and honestly i don’t like the artist that i got. She messed up my tattoo. Simple sunflower she can’t get it right. She told me to come back she will re touch then i came back, then looks like the same. She cannot get the yellow color, poor detail. And the words are too close together. She messed up also my friend tattoo, got infected and scaring. Never again!!!

Great service clean and organized shop excellent attitudes! Kinda hard to find from maps so you might want to call as you get close and the will guide you in, the person who answered the phone literally walked out to the street to meet me! Above and beyond!Not only that but one of the tattoos I got from Gerry was a musical artists logo, I took a picture and sent it to the artist through Instagram and they liked it so much they added it to their story! They have almost a million followers! Awesome work Gerry, even before that I scheduled my next appointment right then and there when I was making payment!Update 7/23: my wife and I both went and got tattooed by Jiyun and she was great! It was my wifes first tattoo and she was really good with her making sure she was okay. My wife originally wanted some clip art butterfly but we went in and Jiyun had another butterfly drawn that was much better than the one she sent in so she got that tattooed instead it looks absolutely fantastic! I got some script around my collar bone and it looks great! Will be coming back again

Booked an appointment with Gerry to get my first tattoo and it was a great experience. He is professional and knows what he is doing, he was very clean, and explained his process. I was visiting Oregon, he made me feel welcome and comfortable. All the other staff is also friendly, I will return to this location!

Just had my second tattoo done by Tony and I couldn’t be more happy. The shop is clean and sanitary. They follow COVID-19 precautions and I felt very safe and in good hands. My artwork is beautiful!! My tattoos are two very different styles and Tony pulled them both off flawlessly. Clean lines, flawless script, beautiful shading. I’m so proud to show off Tony’s work and that’s what you want in a tattoo!

Rory was amazing!! Fixed and added on to a tattoo that was lackluster from another guy who wanted to charge me another $80 to just fix his own mistake (which was to add a small flower). Rory charged me the same amount but added color and more detailing to the piece! Oh, and there’s free touch ups!! Very happy with the work and genuine kindness of Rory and the shop and will definitely will be coming back :)

GO SEE NICK!!!!! I have scheduled with Nick to tattoo the front of my throat/neck eventually turning it into one big neck sleeve. — I want to mention that I have Severe PTSD and the trauma that occurred with me happened to be right around my neck and throat right where I was about to be tattooed. With that being said..when arrived at Breaking Ink for my appointment I was extremely nervous and fidgety as I am about to get my throat tattooed. Walked in Nicks space and the second I stepped foot in all my anxiety and stress and nervousness just melted immideatley and I was a lot more grounded and relaxed. The energy and vibes are extremely peaceful, uplifting and grounding. Nick really did an awesome job at making me feel relaxed and comfortable while being tattooed. He also took his time and paid great attention to detail and placement and everything! What an awesome space with AMAZING energy!!!! Absolutely Amazing, you have to experience it for yourself!—Tattoo time now, Nick made me feel extremely comfortable as I was being tattooed and he explained everything he was doing, cracked a few funny jokes to lighten things up a bit and is such an super talented artist! What an AWESOME experience and I am looking forward to many more tattoos with Nick and especially finishing this neck sleeve. 10/10 for everything hands down 🙌

Fantastic. I couldnt be happier. My shoulder piece went from a nice tattoo to epic, and looks to me like a rad, badass piece of shoulder armour. Nick is great, a super talented artist and good company today which is half the point. Well worth the the trip from Portland, but if youre on the far west side youve got a gem you probably didnt even know you had out here.

The little guy Rory in here GAVE ME THE WORST TATTOO OF MY LIFE. I had been kind to the dude and he was nothing but rude, and disgruntled the entire time. For over $300 This is some of the worst line work I have EVER SEEN.. Luckily Ive found a better tattoo artist. Be wary of this place and angry little man Rory, disrespectful for no reason. Very unprofessional.

I went in on a Sunday for my first tattoo, that was also a memorial to my husband, his 14 month anniversary was the next day and even though it was later that evening they made room for me to have it done. I walk in to breaking ink to get my very first tattoo and i must say i was extremely happy with the tattoo. Rory did an amazing good on the tattoo and every detail was beyond what i had imagine and spot on. The price was really good.

I’ve gotten several pieces done by Rory, both at the old and new locations. The new parlor is quite nice and well kept. Plus the talent and hospitality of the artists here are top notch!

I have a whole chest piece and started a sleeve today and I will not go anywhere else for my tattoos!! Very good priced (Nick charges me $250 for 4-5 hours or as long as I can sit), everyone is friendly and welcoming and over all good vibes! Recommended to all!!

Rory has always been so amazing! I wanted to get two impromptu small tattoos the same day on my birthday but knew I wanted to get it done with him--hes always super fast, efficient, kind, and a great person to work with. Andrea was also super great and booked me in very efficiently, even during these stressful times, and took extra precautions. He was able to squeeze me in no problem. Super affordable tattoos (such a great deal and SUPER AFFORDABLE PRICING, and free touch-ups?!). You can see how much he cares about the work he puts in his work, no matter how small. will definitely be coming back for future tattoos!A great small local business in Hillsboro. I have only been tatted by Rory but hes been so consistent and great. I have also heard great things from the other artists (my friend goes to another artist for her tattoos). A friendly staff of great artists and I have yet to find someone else Id rather go to.

Rory added detail and clarity to my wrist tattoos that I had done several years ago. The text had become unreadable due to the size, but he not only went over the black ink, but added white surrounding the text which made it pop! Now looking forward to going back for an autism tattoo in honor of my little grandson.

Brian is simply amazing. He has done my last two and will be my only tattoo artist from now on. He has always gone above my expectations and delivered pure gold. Amazing talent.

Not sure why they did a big Friday 13th tattoo for a discount for a small tattoo but couldnt accommodate the people but half the artists left early without the customers getting a tattoo

Have had 2 sessions in the last 2 months there with no problems, Great prices, Great People I have nothing but a good time and experience there (witch is hard to find in some Oregon parlors) that and the art and work they do Ive had no need for touch ups Ive finally found my home shop 🤘🤘

Every person I encountered was very friendly, and I love how the artists appreciate each other’s styles and would encourage you to see a different artist if they would do a better job of what you want. Finally got a piece started that’s been 18 years in the making and I couldn’t have gone to a better shop.

Theree talent and then theres talent. What is more important though, is the sense of connection; almost a spiritual aspect. Nick Saltzman sensed the importance and meaning of a simple line drawing artwork and translated that into something wondrous, beautiful beyond description, and one of a kind. He gets it! My husband and I got our rings done and I just dont think they have the skill set to do detail work at this shop....I would recomend going somewhere else maybe somewhere with more knowledge or time on job...Remember this is for life.... You dont want to be in my situation better off going somewhere else
