Sweet Trade Tattoo

Went to Sweet Trade Tattoo for a tattoo to honor my kids. Siobhan was great to work with. Her design was exactly what I had imagined / described. The finished product came out even better than I hoped for. I’m thrilled with the service I received and will definetly return for my next tattoo next time I’m on Maui!

Our first time here was 6 years ago with Adam, and we could not have been happier with our experience.....so we thought....Well, we just returned to Maui and returned to Sweet Trade for the second time to have more work done and met Adams sidekick, Athena, and we have to say, the experience was even better! Thank you guys very much for being so professional, personal and for laying down some awesome ink! We will be back again. Mahalo!

I was able to easily schedule an appointment for three people with them from Texas. I went in the second day of us being on the island to tell them what we wanted and it went very smoothly. On the day of the tattoos everything went well and Athena did a wonderful job! I would absolutely use them again!

Had an amazing chat and wonderful tattoo on experience at the shop. I had a crisis happen personally with my car being stolen and thought I would miss the scheduled appointment that he had so nicely arranged to get me in before I had to move. Felt like world was imploding. But he bared with me being late and got a seamless addition to my sleeve. Can’t say enough about the customer service and in the end it is fire. Perfect lines and story! You’re in the hands a true professional and artist but overall just a great human! Aloha!

My family and I decided to get matching tattoo’s on our last day in Hawaii. We found this tattoo shop and we are very grateful we did. Not only did they accept our walk in, they were both very courteous and polite. They were able to provide us with excellent tattoos. The work they did was neat, professional, and quick. 10/10 will be going back next time I am in Hawaii.

I made an appointment with Sweet Trade Tattoos in advance of our vacation on Lahaina. The appointment worked really well. I immediately felt at ease. The studio is clean and has a very pleasant atmosphere. Adam created a beautiful memory on my foot! Im totally happy with it.

My stepdaughter and I wanted to get tattoos while we were in Maui. We stopped in at Sweet Trade Tattoo and talked to Adam. He was incredibly accommodating to ensure we could get tattoos before we left. He worked with us and our ideas so we could get exactly what we wanted. We were in and out in under 2 hours with amazing tattoos that we loved. They are very personable and do great work. I can’t wait to go back to Maui and get another tattoo with them!

I would highly recommend sweet trade for tattoos when you’re on the island! Siobhan and Adam have professional yet laid back atmosphere and made me feel so relaxed. They are so knowledgeable as well. Siobhan did an amazing job with my tattoo, the color work and attention to detail was amazing. I went in for a consultation on my first day I was there and got my tattoo on the last day: per their instructions. It’s healing beautifully so far.

I had such a great experience at this shop!! I booked several months in advance, and emailed regarding a consultation and appointment. They were very quick to answer! When I went into the shop, I was welcomed by smiling faces and a great environment. I told them what I wanted and they brought it to life. I was tattooed by Jared, and he did a stellar job!! Such a fun environment to be in while you are there and next time I have a tattoo in mind, no doubt I’ll be going back again!!

Wonderful vibes! First tattoo and extremely pleased with the owner artist and staff. Came in on a promise owed. Talked to the daughter artist a couple days prior to ask questions and seek info. She was more than helpful and informative. Made the appointment on the day we were leaving Maui. Didnt take long and very pleased with the results. They know what theyre doing!! Coming back in August for round two and for the wife to fulfill her promise!!!

I would like to Thank Adam and Siobhan for responding to my email so promptly. My husband and I went to Maui for a vacation and to celebrate my birthday. I have always wanted a tattoo. I told myself for the longest time that one day I will definitely get one. I emailed sweet trade tattoo and received a response from Siobhan to stop by the shop so they can get more information on what I would like. Upon entering the shop Adam greeted me right away which made me feel at home. The energy once you enter the shop is so happy and positive, I felt comfortable and at ease. Adam did my first tattoo and I absolutely love it! Its perfect. Siobhan cleaned and put a clear dressing after. Thank you Adam for my first tattoo. I will definitely be back next year to get another one.

10/10 experience! Myself and 3 other family members were able to get work done at the end of our trip before heading home. The entire process from booking, to consulting about our pieces, and the work itself was a seamless process. I personally had the pleasure of having Adam do my tattoos, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I appreciated his honesty and expertise when it came to placement and sizing of the tattoo’s being done. My husband and I are on vacation in Hawaii, and decided to get a tattoo each to commemorate our honeymoon. Adam was extremely helpful and accommodating; explained the meanings and stories behind Polynesian tattoos and fit us in at very short notice. He actually created a bespoke design for each of us after asking us individual questions about our life, our dreams, our personalities, etc.. On the day, he remained super helpful, friendly and efficient. He completed our tattoos within a fraction of the time we expected but delivered stellar results. Very minimal pain, and clear aftercare instructions to follow. If we lived here, Adam would be our new local. We cannot recommend his work enough! Thank you once again and aloha ❤️

This tattoo was a pleasure to get. It was just about a half sleeve in Polynesian style. Trendy Polynesian tattoos with no real meaning are for some people but not me. Mine is completely real and in total respect for the Polynesian community. Every symbol has meaning and is placed appropriately with my Island friends and family approval. Adam has a pretty good technique and his imagination is quite creative. This piece was pretty awesome to me even though we didn’t have much time to go over the final design. I felt confident that he understood what I wanted. A few small opportunities on this piece but overall I’m very pleased. I plan on going back to get my lower left leg (Knee to ankle) done as well.

Siobhan took this from casual conversation to more focused ideation of a philosophical bent to reality with friendliness, efficiency and aloha spirit. I’m so pleased. I’ll be back again for my next Hawaii-themed ink. It’s a family punk vibe in this place which as oxymoronic as it sounds, it’s a father-daughter team running this place and the energy is just perfect. Five stars. This was a family experience. We came to spread my sisters ashes and 3 of us decided to memorialize the event with tattoos . Adam and David were very attentive to what we each wanted. My tattoo was the simplest but still exactly what I wanted. The atmosphere of the studio is more along the lines of an artist studio versus a traditional tattoo studio. Each of the artists are very talented and very supportive of each other. Just a great atmosphere and experience. Thank you all for making this a very special part of very our family event.

Beautiful and unique work, and super nice people. We went in a few days early and gave info about what we wanted and they did the design perfectly - exactly what we wanted. Mine had symbols that are personal to me and my daughter and son-in-law had Hawaiian Lego people (really cool looking).

These guys are awesome! My wife and I decided on our last day on Maui to get tattoos and both of us couldnt be happier with our decision to go with Sweet Trade Tattoo. For me it was my first time getting anything done and I had a vision of what I wanted everything to look like and Adam nailed it! We had a great experience at Sweet Trade Tattoo!! This is a very clean and friendly establishment. Adam is wonderful to talk with and is very friendly and easygoing. David did my husbands tattoo (Joltik- with a Pineapple). It turned out better than we could have ever expected and he was fabulous throughout the entire process. He was really passionate about providing the best piece of artwork for him.My tattoo was done by Siobhan, she did a great job on my tattoo (Postage Stamp). The shop has a laid back atmosphere, but assures cleanliness standards throughout the process. The were all friendly and fabulous and were able to get us in before we left town (After our consultations of course).

We highly recommend this shop! We took a sister trip to Maui and the three of us decided to get a tattoo and Adam and Siobhan were super friendly and extremely talented and we would definitely return for part two ;) they were patient, caring, answered our questions and on time and the shop is very clean and ran efficiently. We came together to Maui in 2013 with our boys. In 2024 we came again but the boys have grown and it’s just us. Adam was awesome! 3 of us wanted tattoos to remember our trip to Maui. It was the day we flew out and he managed to squeeze us in. He’s very talented as an artist and just a good guy. This was all of ours first tattoo and he made the experience wonderful. His shop is clean and Adam is professional, kind and fun!

I visited Maui last year and was interested in a tattoo but ran out of time. When I went back I scheduled an appointment when I arrived. The tattoo turned out great. Siobhan did a great job and had no hesitation when I asked her to add color to it. Would highly recommend the shop. Adam and his family/staff were amazing! I felt like I was with my own family. They made my SIL and daughter feel right at home. I loved my tattoo experience at Sweet Trade. This is the tattoo after about 3 days of healing and its doing fabulous! I got this one done with Adam and my mother got a matching one. We will definitely be coming back to this shop in the future!

Adam and Siobhan are amazing. Adam is the one that tattooed me. I showed up the day before and we talked shop for a bit have him artistic freedom. Trust me Im not very trustful but Adam made me very comfortable with his knowledge and suggestions. He was very excited and i could tell this would be a great experience. The next day i showed up right on time he was set and ready to go. We went about 2 hours maybe a little less but he got it done quite swift but the tattoo came out amazing. Ill let you guys be the judge.Will definitely be going back to Hawaii mainly to get tatted by this talented artist. Dont worry Si i will get something done by you one day as well. Much love to both. The staff were easy going and very friendly! My artist was quick and light handed, really made the experience enjoyable. The line work on the tattoo was a little wobbly but nothing that a quick touch up wouldnt correct.

The owners were nice when helping setting an appointment and very candid which is refreshing. His daughter was the tattoo artist and she did an awesome job on the art and the tattoos and was fast but efficient!! Very happy with our tattoos!

He was patient as we tried to figure out what my wife would like. I already knew what I was looking for.A Honu. A Sea Turtle with a fishhook. But I didn’t want a design that had been done before. Adam came up with two great original designs. Both amazing designs, but I had to choose one.Adam came up with a really great design for my wife also. But when it came down to it, she wasn’t ready. On our next trip to be continued for her.As for me, Adam made the experience very comfortable. He is great to talk to and share a couple good laughs. Wanted a tattoo for a long time. Used to live on Maui for many years and asked friends/locals who they recommended and they all said Adam :) And they were right! He did an awesome tattoo, no dreaded itching, no discomfort, healed perfectly in less than 2 weeks! Love it! He told me I would get another one now that I had one, and he’s right :)) I will, but only by him!Spent the whole time when I got my tattoo talking about his amazing artwork that he painted and has some pieces hanging in his parlor-he’s an absolutely incredible accomplished artist! My girlfriend and i went in to sweet trade while we were in maui to get matching tattoos. I told the owner of the shop that i wanted the tattoo lower on my leg just above my knee. He told me that based on his 29 years of experience i was wrong and where he placed it was right. I trusted him. But i wish my tattoo was lower. He was a little overbearing considering it should be my decision on where my tattoo gets placed. Other than that the tattoo looks great and the work is really clean.

By far the best tattoo experience Ive ever had. Adam is friendly, knowledgeable, and does outstanding work. Ill definitely be coming back to get more ink done here! Absolutely love how well he covered up an old tattoo I had and hated.

My boyfriend and I came in looking for tattoos to get before we left Maui. We came in a few day before and they were able to squeeze us in the day we left. The whole process was awesome. Amazing art works from both him and his daughter. My boyfriend got a Polynesian turtle and Adam really dove in to get to know him so he could get the right writing on him that suited him as a person. Very unique process. We both left with huge smiles on our face which is the best way to leave a place. Now we have beautiful tattoos to remember our time in Maui and Sweet Trade Tattoo. Adam and Siobhan were top professionals. I emailed them a few weeks before my Maui trip knowing what I wanted and they were able to tweak my idea to make it more unique. Prepped and ready to go upon arrival. 100% cant wait to go back for more! Make sure you eat before your session and tip them! Theyre worth it!

The adult males in my family wanted to go back to this tattoo shop to get some new tattoos when we were in Maui. 2 years ago they visited and had Halloween pineapples tattooed on their arms, based on a picture of a carved pineapple we designed on Halloween.This time they decided to go tribal design and our older son received a fish hook, our youngest son did a hammerhead shark tribal design and my husband received a tribal design shark, and had his soulmate design updated a bit because it had faded.Adam did an excellent job in taking care of most of these tattoos, and Siobhan also did the hammerhead shark design on our youngest son.Gina, our older sons GF, decided on a small hibiscus flower 🌺 that she had placed on her right back hip area. All designs came out well, and they were all happy with the final design outcome. Will definitely come back in the future when we visit Maui.

We had a good experience with Sweet Trade Tattoo. My Aunt and I were there on vacation and wanted to get a tattoo together for a memory. They worked with us and were able to schedule us on our last day there so we could enjoy our time there without worrying about messing up the tattoo. The only issue we have is my Aunt asked for water color and the artist said ok but the coloring that was done is not water color. It just seems to be random blops of color around the turtles. We both already have water color tattoos so we know how they should look. This tattoo was on the back of our calf so we werent able to see it as it was being done and we had to wait until it was fully healed to see the final outcome. Overall we are happy though, she just has to decide if she is going to get her color touched up at home. I was happy with Adams job on my turtles. I dont remember her name but it was Adams daughter who did my Aunts tattoo. Thank you!

Sweet Trade Tattoo is an amazing shop with oustanding artists. Adam got me in for a last minute tattoo during my trip in Maui and I am so happy he happened to have an opening. We had a short discussion about what I was looking for and he said I got you man and he did. His design was amazing and hope I can get back there for more work in the future.

On vacation in Maui, myself and a few other friends each wanted a small tattoo of our own to commemorate our time on the island. We found this shop near our resort online and were drawn to the artists styles and line work. We did a walk-in to inquire and were very pleased with the service we received from Adam, the owner. He was direct about his style and what he could do for us, but also friendly and accommodating. He agreed to fit us all in right before the end of our trip (which was only a fews days away) and collected our information and ideas so that he could be prepared. On the day of, we showed up at our scheduled time and Adam was ready to start. He got through all 4 of our tattoos within an hour, and we were all in love with our finished results. While waiting for each of us to get tattooed, we had also chatted with his wife Athena at the front desk who was lovely. We would absolutely recommend Sweet Trade Tattoo to anyone looking for a positive and efficient experience. Thanks again Adam!

We found Sweet Trade via Google and we are so happy we did! We went there as a family and the whole staff were so kind and thoughtful to deal with. Absolutely fabulous experience. I came in with a somewhat clear idea but Siobhan really helped me as she designed and created a beautiful piece of art. The actual tattooing was flawless, fast, and pretty painless. I couldnt recommend Siobhan and the whole team more!

Was visiting the Island for our annual trip to Maui. Have been wanting to get new ink for a few years but timing never worked out.This year made the time booked the appointment. Asked for a family hook, showed up for my appointment and was given 3 options to look over. Licked the most custom out of the 3 that was different from all the others.Could not be happier with my choice. Even on the Island locals where that is a great choice.The healing is now 5 days and is clean with little flaking or anything.

Amazing return visit to Sweet Trade. Siobhan did an add on tattoo to something we started 2 years ago! She was able to tie my previous flowers with additional flower and leaves. I’m so happy! I can’t wait to go back next year!

Came to maui as a gift from my husband for my 50th .. we talked about getting tattoos while we were here but unsure about where to go and the quality of work wed be getting .. we walked into the shop and Adam the owner was very good about informing us about his standards quality n ethics.. we were truly pleased n satisfied that wed found a great shop .. 2 days later we returned to book an appt .. we both got tattooed and were both very happy with our little momentos of Maui .. for anyone looking for a good decent shop .. this is the one to goto ! Love love love my tattoo! David did such a great job and was so kind. I was originally gonna see David at Blue Hawaii tattoo in Lahaina which David owned for 10 years! His shop was sadly affected in the Lahaina fire. So when you read the reviews about David just transfer that over to here. I also just loved that he still had his faith and kindness after all he has been through. Go see David! Such an amazing artist.

Girl trip to Maui called for a tattoo (duh) so we chose Sweet Trade to get our ink. I have quite a few tats from the same artist back home so I was skeptical about using a different artist. Adam was my a guy and I was very satisfied with him and his work. Clean lines, light hand and fast. I now have a little piece of Hawai’i with me forever. Came to Maui for family Trip; wanted an local mom & pop shop. Looked at several close to where we were staying, came upon this one after reviews and knew it was the spot. Great staff! Super fun personalities and easy to deal with. Great artists. Had Siobhan Hammon do the work; she was awesome, this was my very tattoo and she made the experience amazing!! Highly recommend this shop!! They do all Custom and really listen to their clients ideas; w/ great input

Everything about this place was incredible! I booked an appt in December, for March. Once we arrived on the island, we stopped in to get a consultation. The owner and his daughter are just the nicest people, the energy in the shop was great! At the end of our trip, we went for the tattoo; the owner had drawn out perfectly what we envisioned. The two of them got to work and were done in about 30 min! Wayyy quicker than I had expected. We laughed and held conversation the whole time. The tattoos look amazing, their attitudes were amazing, the shop was so clean, and Covid protocols followed. Thank you for the great experience!

Adam and Siobhan took great care of me and my friends start to finish. I emailed him a week before i got to maui to set up an appointment time and then met with him when i got to the island to go over what i was looking for. My buddy’s also wanted tattoos but aren’t as responsible as me and didn’t set up appointments but he was super cool and managed to get all three of us tattoos on the same day!!!!! Then the day of the tattoos we threw him a screwball and added a fourth member if our crew to get a tattoo and they made it happen. Super nice family tattoo shop you can really tell they enjoy the art of tattooing and its not just a money grab. I plan on coming back with my wife next year and i will definitely be letting Adam and Siobhan add more tattoos!!!! I will add mor pictures and another review as it heals. He knocked this one out of the park and i love it!!!

Adam is an extremely talented artist. He was patient with my ideas and brought them to life in a way that exceeded my expectations. The folks here are more that just tattooists; they treat you like friends and respect you for you. The shop puts safety first which made me comfortable and trust them more. Our family of 6 all wanted to get tattoos while on Maui and we happened to connect with David and the crew at Sweet Trade. They graciously and expertly handled all of us with our unique ideas and designs and we were pleased with the results. Siobahn did mine and it turned out great.

My partner and I went to Maui, and we looked everywhere for a tattoo parlor that speaks to us, and Sweet Trade did not disappoint at all! I got to consult with Adam for my tattoo, and the process was very smooth. Adam was able to come up with a design that encompasses all that the original photo expresses touched with his own creativity, and the best part was that everything was clearly communicated. The shop is very well lit and super clean too, so I felt super safe getting a tattoo there. My Airbnb was in Kihei and let me tell you: it is so worth the drive! I will definitely come back for another creation from the shop next time I am in Maui.10/10 for professionalism, artistry and cleanliness!

My partner and I went in a few days before to schedule, pay the deposit, and talk ideas. My partner wanted a tribal whale and Adam spent the time getting to know who we were to customize the tribal markings on the whale for my partner and when custom designing my tattoo. He found out what I liked, what I’ve done while on the island, and I gave him full control to run with it. The design he articulated was what I wanted without even knowing so. If you’re thinking of getting a tattoo while in Maui call before you leave or as soon as you land and get on his books. He’s busy. Had three walk ins looking for appointments while I was on his chair. His personality and intelligence will keep you entertained and engaged while you’re tattooed. The shop is family owned and he cares about his work and what he’s putting on your body.

She did a great job! They took the time to do custom work and every tattoo is different. They were all easy going and great atmosphere. Very happy with my tattoo and my experience. Highly recommended.

Chauvin (I’m not sure if I spelled her name correctly, I apologize if it’s wrong!) was my artist for my 4th tattoo. She was awesome! A little quiet, but still cracked some jokes, she was very respectful, very aware of where I was getting too tender/sore and was sure to be more gentle in those areas. My tattoo only took about an hour and a half, the lines look phenomenal! She made sure I was comfortable on the table before we started, very clean and sanitized area. When I wanted my tattoo a little bigger than planned, she fixed the stencil for me no problem! If you are looking for a great tattoo shop to visit in Maui, you HAVE to come here!! My husband and I came here on the last day of our Honeymoon as a walk in and are so thankful we were able to make an appointment. Adam sat down with my husband and I to really talk about the meaning of what my husband wanted in his tattoo. It was such an incredible experience. He wrote down words we were saying and when we came back later that day he had the most incredible sketch done. He labeled each piece for us to explain all the different meanings and where they corresponded on the tattoo within the turtle. We were able to take a copy home so we can have it forever..It was my first tattoo and he made me feel SO comfortable. I was really nervous and he kept me calm the whole time. My husband and I were on our honeymoon in Hawaii and decided to get tattoos very last minute. I had read sweet trade tattoos reviews and they were all good so we stopped in right when they opened. We were immediately helped and minutes later we were in the chairs getting tattoos. Adam did my tattoo and Siobhan did my husbands and we absolutely love them. They were both really great to work with and we had a fantastic experience overall. We will definitely be coming back to Maui in the future and would 10/10 recommend this tattoo studio.

My first time meeting Adam at Sweet Trade was about a year ago. He tattooed a beautiful lotus scene on my shoulder- during this trip to Maui I made sure to see him again. We added to the original lotus design and bridged it to another existing tattoo. I absolutely love the results! Adam is an amazing artist and an even better person- when I was talking about a larger piece, he said he’d be happy to do it but also gave me a recommendation for another tattoo artist closer to where i live in California. Found these guys in a whim while visiting Maui, walked in and they were able to get myself and my wife in the same day. Great experience at Sweet Trade Tattoo! My decision was kind of last minute but Adam was so generous squeezing me into his busy schedule. My husband scheduled a consultation and I had been thinking about getting the tattoo I got for a while. When my husband told me that he was planning on getting a tattoo; basically I thought; I want one too! When in Maui…I booked the appointment right then and there when Adam said he could fit me in too; didn’t even give it a second thought. Stumbled upon this amazing interaction with Sweet Trade Tattoo and Adam. His emotion, spirit, and deep respect for family and people in general, plucked heart strings. I contacted the store email address to see if they were 1. open (due to the recent events in Lahaina) and 2. able to do a tattoo. I was leaving Hawaii the next day. Adam responded and we spoke on the phone. Even with the difficulties of movement on Maui and the instability at the time, he did his best to accommodate. He told me his story, he asked me mine, and allowed me to come in. The shop has such a clean, cool atmosphere, sterilization techniques mastered, and knowledge of tattooing is amazing. Went and got this back in September, I wanted to wait til it was healed to write a review and then I forgot so here it is, so happy with my tattoo this was a spontaneous choice and I am just so happy with how it came out. I am from AZ and came to Maui for my honeymoon I already have tattoos so I knew what I was getting into. I didn’t know what I was looking for other than I wanted a pineapple showed him a couple of examples and boom this is what he came up with. Very easy going artist who is very reasonable for price and very easy going in general. If I ever come back I’ll be getting another tattoo.

Spent several days in Kaanapali in November 2019 for a family vacation. Out of the blue I decided to get a tattoo in Maui. Its been 15 years since my last tattoo. I researched all the tattoo shops around the area and kept seeing great reviews about Adam. I decided to drop in to the shop and chat with Adam with the tattoo ideas I had in mind. He immediately took an interest in what I wanted done and gave me several great suggestions. I decided to let him design everything. The next day, he opened his shop up on his day off just to do my tattoo. His Titbetan Buddhist Phurba (dagger) design was so cool and authentic. It was more than I couldve imagined. He also designed a simple but yet cool meaningful turtle tattoo. I had great conversations with him and loved the music that he cranks up while he zones out and gets to work. He has a very even touch and the tattoo process did not hurt at all. I am very pleased with what he designed and the whole process. Adam is a very straight up cool guy and extremely talented artist. It is worth checking out his shop and considering him to ink you. I will definitely be back to get more tattoos from him each time I go to Maui. Thanks so much Adam. You rock!! \m/

Searched many tattoo shops on the island and chose this place. The shop was the cleanest tidiest tattoo shop I’ve ever seen. Both Siobhan and Adam were very professional. Great vibes all around. Adam was my artist and did took my simple idea and made it amazing. Was an absolute joy being ink by him. Really light handed to. If I ever come back to Maui I’ll definitely be swinging by again. May be my smallest tattoo but it’s definitely my favorite tattoo experience 11/10 recommend.

When I was on vacation in Maui back in Dec 2022, I had decided that I wanted a Polynesian turtle tattoo to commemorate my trip. I had looked up shops in Lahaina and Sweet Trade Tattoo popped up.I decided to go in to check out the shop and the artists. I met with Adam and discussed what I had wanted and booked my appointment with Siobhan.On the day of my appointment, Siobhan was ready and invited me in. She has a steady light hand and we shared a couple stories. Adam was working on painting a canvas and we chatted quite a bit as well. There was a couple points that I had almost forgotten that I was getting inked as the conversation was so great. I love my piece. Siobhan did a fantastic job. Thank you both for running such a great shop. I would recommend it to anyone in Maui to at least pay them a visit if getting ink is on your mind.

My husband and I were vacationing on Maui and decided to each get a tattoo to honor the passing of our 17 year old dog last year. We reached out to Sweet Trade via their website messaging tool and received a response within a few hours with details on how to proceed. We met with Siobhan who listened to what we wanted and assured us that she would have art work ready for us on the day of our appointment. When we arrived for the appointment Siobhan helped us tweak the artwork to exactly what we wanted and she was very patient and sensitive to the reasoning behind our images. I have wanted a fine line turtle tattoo on my ankle for sometime now. My husband encouraged me to finally get it while we were in Maui. After a little research I landed on a couple different tattoo shops that we went to check out. I knew right away Sweet Trade Tattoo was my place. The vibe is very relaxed and he understood right away what I wanted. He was also able to get me in on my last day there which was what I was hoping for. My daughter wanted to get matching tattoos with me while on vacation. She checked around and found Sweet Trade. We went in for an initial consultation on a Saturday with our design idea. my daughter’s tattoo was done on Monday by Siobhan. Adam did mine a few days later. The tattoos were fairly basic but they had a lot of meaning to us. We both were a little nervous but were put at ease during the process. We are both happy with the process and results.

First time in Hawaii, came to get a tattoo for a lasting souvenir. I got a small turtle on my wrist, done by Adam. He did amazing work. He was very experienced, and had a light hand, so it didnt hurt. He had great ideas making my tattoo even better. I will definitely come back to get another tattoo.

Sweet Trade Tattoo gave us the best souvenir to top off our visit to Maui. We were able to set an appointment for the next day which happened to be our last morning in town. We were able to get a custom tattoo for myself and my young adult son in about an hour each. Our tattoos look great and we will definitely be returning customers next time we are in town.

Adam is the best tattoo artist ever. He is truly a professional. I’ve never had any scarring, scabs or blood. I love sitting down over a coffee and collaborating on original designs that fit my personality and lifestyle. I get a new one from him every trip I make to Maui and I won’t get a tattoo anywhere else. His Polynesian inlays are rich in historical meaning, extremely detailed, and worth every penny. DO NOT pass up Sweet Trade. My recommendation is to do it right and make an appointment so you can get an original tattoo that you will absolutely love for the rest of you life rather than just settling for something you pick off the wall display (but he does those really well too ). And he has original oil painting. Looking to get one for my office.

I had an amazing experience at street trade tattoo. I was in Maui on a family vacation and decided to get a tattoo at the end of the trip, they took my idea and drew something up very personal and custom like no other tattoo so it was personal to me. They were 100% upfront about the time it would take the requirements of healing afterwards and also the price of the tattoo which was reasonably and fair compared to other shops in the area. with getting a custom drawing and design, I feel like it was 100% fair and equal. They had a clean studio, great customer service, and an awesome atmosphere that was very welcoming. Adam, the studio owner did my tattoo and it looks amazing. He Checked on my comfort level throughout the whole appointment and making sure everything was OK. A beautiful piece of artwork, with meaning behind it, I’m lucky I get to have forever. Will definitely be going back, if given the opportunity to come back to the island and would recommend to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

Fantastic experience from start to finish! This was my second tattoo, and I had some anxiety about getting it while on vacation. Adam was professional and quick and I felt relaxed and at ease the whole time. The cost was very reasonable. I love my bird of paradise, and looking forward to returning on my next trip to Maui. Stopped in and was lucky enough to find they had an open appointment first thing the next day. Siobhan was expertly helpful get everything set up. My husband and I were looking for a simple wave for our ring fingers. She did a great job! The shop was super clean! The owners are an awesome couple that really take pride in their work. They will take their time getting to know you so that they can give you the best experience possible!! Best experience!! I had a butterfly tattoo on my shoulder I got a long time ago and had been wanting to cover it up. I saw many people recommending Sweet Trade Tattoo in a Facebook group about Maui. So I reached out to Adam a month ahead of my trip. We exchanged a few emails and I felt comfortable with setting up an appointment. I stopped in my first day on the Island and met his sweet wife Athena and set up my tattoo to be completed on my last day. When I arrived Adam was very professional, had a few options drawn out for what I wanted and I picked the one that I loved. Adam was very efficient and experienced. Just got tattooed at sweet trade by the owner Adam Considine. What a great tattoo shop and Adam is a great tattoo artist. He listened to what I wanted have done and because the tattoo was gonna fill my leg below the knee he got back to me in a few days with a hand drawn tattoo that was way better than I could have hoped for. He also was good conversation during the tattooing process. The shop itself was very clean and the vibe was very low key. Very happy with my experience with Adam and Sweet Trade. I emailed during my vacation and we were able to communicate that way until I could make it into the shop. When I came in Adam knew who I was and we had a great conversation about the ideas of the tattoo as well as in general. He made me feel very comfortable with him and what was going to happen for next steps. We planned for my tattoo the last day of my vacation so that I could continue to enjoy the water and sun until the last minute basically. I texted him some of my ideas and photos so that he could draw my design up.Once at the shop, we didn’t have to make any adjustments to the design and we were able to get started. He worked with me to put my ideas to paper and was able to schedule an appointment for me in a timely manner.I was lucky enough to have Siobhan create and ink my tattoo. Adam and Siobhan are an incredible father-daughter duo, both having their respective talents in the worlds of painting and tattooing.The vibes in the shop are immaculate, everything is clean and conversations are light and fun. You’re treated with respect and both artists work with you to find something that you’ll love for the rest of your life. Our group had a couple tattoo-virgins and both artists took the time to explain the process of tattooing, aftercare instructions, what they’ll experience beforehand and during, and to validate any fears the tattoo-ees may have. During our allotted times, a few walk-ins arrived and instead of turning them away, the artists made sure they would be seen at some point before they leave. Deposits and pricing is reasonable, I wouldn’t be upset if they charged more- their work is worth it and is done in a timely manner.Adam and Siobhan obviously care about and love their clients and what they do, I couldn’t recommend them enough.

What an awesome place with awesome people. We had stopped in mid vacation to schedule and Adam had explained to us that it would be best to wait until the end of our vacation due to the possibility of infection in Hawaii (the island is covered in bacteria) the fact he looked out for us and wanted to make sure we stayed healthy and the tattoo quality would stay top notch!
