I love it here! I have extreme anxiety and they made me feel at ease. I have gotten piercings and the piercer is really good at what she does! She also gives you instructions and if needed some saline.I recommend this place!

Everyone there was super friendly and welcoming, I got a helix and forward helix on my left ear done by Stephanie. I love how they turned out, She did such an amazing job and was super thoughtful explaining every step of the way what she was doing. Great service!! I had an bad piercing from a different shop and steph took great care of me! Same appt, got 2 more done as originally planned and they healed beautifully! Went back some time later for a stud change on all of them. Everyone was super kind and welcoming. I was a minor and paperwork went through quickly and smoothly! Def recommend!

I’ve been tattooed by both Bee and Angie so far, and i absolutely love every tattoo I’ve gotten. I’ve also gotten multiple piercings by stephanie and i don’t think I’ll ever go anywhere else. I got a piercing there with Ms. Stephanie. She was super sweet! She was very open and honest with any questions I had . When I got there , I initially asked for a certain piercing , when she marked it I asked if I can change my mind . If youre going to get a piercing for the first time, definitely go here! i felt safe to voice my opinions and ask questions. The girl who pierced me walked me through the whole process. The only thing i could see people complaining about is the price, but i do think it is worthwhile considering all the services provided. The shop is super clean, and it has a great atmosphere i will definitely be going again:)

In 2018 got three tattoos there and loved it. always very clean and welcoming. recently wanted a tat and already knew i was going back to por vida. staff is super patient and encouraging. was a little nervous since i hadn’t been tatted in a few years but they walked me through it and eased me into it. brenda did my bee tattoo and she was super light handed and left me super satisfied! will definitely be going back. 5 stars isn’t enough!!

Got my first 5 tattoos here and am honestly addicted, never felt so welcome anywhere else. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere in general is comfortable. They have many designs and are understanding and the prices are fairer compared to some other shops.

I got a septum piercing today with Steph and she was SO sweet, she made the entire experience so easy. I kept forgetting to breathe and she was gently reminding me to and doing everything she could to make me comfortable. She definitely deserves more than 5 stars and I will be going to her again if I ever need another piercing done :D ❤️

Loved the friendly and welcoming environmet. Went in for a piercing and all I can say was, Stephanie is awesome. She had selected earrings suited to my style and I felt absolutely comfortable, this coming from a person with anxiety and has an issue with people touching my person. Por vida has been the most welcoming and safest shop I have ever been in. I wish I went sooner. I went in for a consult about a nose piercing I had and ended up getting earlobe piercings. Stephanie was very kind and non-judgmental. She was thorough with piercing education and with her work. I will for sure be going again for future tattoos and piercings.

Great service! Stephanie took care of my helix piercing (that I had gotten someplace else) that my ear was starting to reject. She was so polite and attentive, making my experience great and not stressful. She made sure to explain what she was doing, aftercare instructions, and what to do next time I get my helix repierced, which I will definitely come back for! :)

Great service. Was out of town from San Antonio and found Por Vida online and checked out their piercer Stephanie and she was awesome. Made me feel super comfortable, did a consult for a septum and nose piercing. Shop was super clean, she explained after care really well and overall was an awesome experience. I believe I paid $60 all together for both piercings.

I’ve been there for two piercings of my own and my little sister has gone to get her ears pierced. Our piercer was very sweet and very slow and caring with my six year old sister to make sure she had a good experience with getting her ears pierced. My little sister loves her piercings and I love my helix and nose piercings which I believe are healing nicely! I love going there and can’t wait to go back for more piercings!

Steph is honestly SO amazing! I had gotten my nose pierced with someone else and my body didn’t react very well but she was quick to take care of me and eventually re-pierce it and it’s the best it’s ever been!! She also did my lobes (2 more on each side) and regardless of how my body reacts she always knows a solution to my problems and is so knowledgeable on how to take care of them! She is super gentle and sweet! 10/10

I got a third lobe piercing done by Angie at Por Vida and I absolutely love it! The process was super smooth and quick. She was very polite and super clear + informative about the after care I needed to do for my piercing. The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming. My artist was gabe, he is an incredible artist. Has a great personality and loved every moment I was there while doing my tattoo. I can clearly see he was enjoying every line he was doing in my tattoo because traditional Is his specialty.I will definitely be coming back for some traditional roses. The employees we so welcoming and awesome to be around. All in all, great energy in the room I loved every second of it.

Never have I been to a Tattoo shop in which I felt SO welcome! Everyone was so friendly and sweet. Truly felt like I complete judge free zone! Felt like I’ve known everyone but I’d only just met everyone. Sick place to get tatted! Def recommend to anyone and everyone! Been here twice!! First time to get double pierced (industrial and nostril) by Angie. She is very profesional, as well as the rest of the staff; I received excellent service. Went back one week later because my nose piercing had fallen out and they were happy to replace/fix it for me! I’d definitely come back for another piercing or maybe a tattoo next time :)

@Sweetpiercingsbysteph did an amazing job with my helix piercing. She was so happy that I got the little leaf since no one wanted it. It was a fun experience with her. I didnt feel any discomfort or much pain. She was so sweet and made you feel like your home. I recommend her so much. She is amazing 🥰

My daughter had her first tattoo done today at Por Vida. It took her days of research and it was the quality of work done by the artists that made her go there. She had hers done by Caleb. He was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He made my daughter feel comfortable and was very patient with her 😅😅 shes super happy with the results and were definitely coming back¡!!

Stopped by the shop last night as a walk in for some second lobe piercings with @sweetpiercingsbysteph. She was really nice and very professional. She made sure the piercings would be exactly where I wanted them. She talked me through everything she was doing and she was quick with the needle so I didn’t feel any pain. I definitely recommend her.

Worst customer service for tattoo shops in Laredo. No hospitality once entering and place gives off a very bad vibe. Went for 4th of July flash sale and they were being very picky about tattoo placement. They couldn’t even move the tattoo up 3 inches on the leg. Also weren’t specific in their social media posts about ”Only Arms or Legs.” All they had said was “No Face or Necks.” Would NOT recommend this tattoo shop to anyone. Better off going to Horikawa or Huaxtek

It was a great experience especially since Lilly Hernandez did my tattoo, she was very methodical and thoughtful as worked, she would check her work as was going along . Not once but several times until she finished the job. Would definitely recommend her to anyone considering getting a tattoo there. I’m sure the other artist are highly qualified, but Lilly worked on me , so my kudos go to her. Overall my experience was a great one!

Had a very terrible experience with angie. Seemed rush at doing her work and gave me something I didn’t want. Her attitude was very ugly and my experience there was horrendous. Not sure if she was having a bad day but the service was not great and what I wanted.

I got my very first piercing on both earlobes here! Steph welcomed us in and took very good care of me! The piercings themselves were so quick and as painless as could be! Steph took extra special care to ensure my piercings were aligned and even let me check the marks myself for that extra piece of mind! Went in for a consult and Angie was very rude and lacked every cust. Service skill. My tattoo was for my daughter that passed away and when I asked about the pricing since it was just her name, she literally rolled her eyes at me and shrugged her shoulders at me lol And the shop owner even laughed and said well don’t like it go to someone else. I’ve gotten plenty of tattoos from other artists and I’m not cheap. I have thousands invested into my tattoos and I understand quality for a price but 150 on a small name on my wrist when I found another 4 artists that would’ve done it for 80 🤷🏼‍♀️ especially looking at her work, Im surprised I was even recommend going to Angie. Just utter disrespect and no customer service skills whatsoever. The artist that actually did it, said he hears bad things about this shop all the time regarding Angie and her attitude.

Pura vida has amazing employees, great service and a comfortable environment. I got my tragus pierced with angie and she made me feel super comfortable! Both my friend and I got her cartilage pierced with steph and we had such a great experience with her, she wasn’t aggressive, and super caring!! 10/10! It is safe to say we will be going again!

Angie was awesome! She had previously pierced my daughter and my niece’s helix, and now me! The shop is clean and Angie is good at making sure she cleans and sterilizes each time she works! Most definitely recommend her services!

Everyone was super helpful and friendly, the area was very neat/clean, and the customer service was great! all of my questions were answered accordingly and my piercing turned out amazing ^-^ i cannot recommend this shop enough!!

Rarely do I post negative comments especially on an artist that deserves respect, HOWEVER one of the artist was not only rude but zero creativity and or positive reaction, instead his remarks were unprofessional, cocky, arrogant, conceited and excessively proud of one being to which he said the tattoo was irritated not colored pink.....mind you there were 3 pink flowers in the desired tattoo to which he claimed were not pink but irritated, he continued to claim the tatoo was Gray scale only and the pink was irritation with his 24 years of being a tatoo artist maybe he is irritated. Do not recommend this irritated Tatoo Artist at this location- unfortunately did not have the pleasure of his name just ask for the 24 years of irritated experience and NOT book with him.

My first, third, & fourth tattoos were done by Gabe! I love the vibes here. Everybody’s really chill & down-to-earth. They’re all really good artists and Gabe has always been able to take my ideas and turn them into badass designs. 10/10 recommend! They give you really clear healing directions, too.

03/06/21 Went today to get my “first” piercings ever, 2nd ear lobe&helix. Steph welcomed me with a smile and warm tone! I love how she made me feel comfortable and relaxed right away. She reassured me that I was in great hands. And I truly enjoyed and felt comfortable with my experience. It wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be. I’d like to say it was because of Steph’s reassurance and personality that made this whole experience for me wonderful and painless!!!I RECOMMEND STEPHANIE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the place I got my first tattoo and still come back to! I always recommend Gabe to friends and family. Whenever you’re in his shop always expect a good time because they make you feel comfortable and love to joke around. 10 out of 10 place to get permanently marked!! ✨

I visited this shop for the first time 3 days ago at the recommendation of one of my other artists who knew I would becoming to Laredo. The environment of the shop is amazing; gifted/knowledgeable artists, good, clean equipment, and an experience that is second to none. Gabe (the owner) is as down to earth as it gets and when I got my designs from the dice and the machine they have there I didn’t expect to be getting worked on by the owner himself. In my experience, shop owner is usually too busy or reserved for more “important” projects and bigger designs to waste time with anyone not lucky enough to get a slot. That in and of it self said a lot to me. The guy genuinely loves to tattoo, make clients happy, and tell some funny stories while he’s at it. Found the only shop I’ll be going to while in Laredo and definitely will be coming back for more after I leave

I dont always review stuff but i have to on this one. I went to go get my first tattoo. A few days ago the people were very welcoming and nice. But other then that my tattoo looks very bad done. Lines are very crooked, lines dont connect its just a very bad tattoo. I have to say that i wont be going back.

Got my first tattoo done by Gabe after being told “walk in’s aren’t professional” by another stuffy shop. Por Vida was visibly clean, professional, fast, and overall had an amazing first tattoo experience. Gabe was a very interactive dude that knew exactly how I wanted my tat done.

Absolutely recommend this place for getting ear piercing. I didn’t feel anything and the healing process is going well. Didn’t feel any pain. Staff is very nice and friendly.

Por Vida is an amazing shop. Gabe is the nicest, most passionate artist Ive ever been tattooed by. Im from San Antonio and its worth a trip all the way to Laredo to get tattooed here. The prices, quality of art, and just all around good vibes are worth a trip to this shop.

Amazing shop with some great artists. It’s owner Gabe is a great guy who won’t feed you any BS and who can take an idea and make it a million times better. If he thinks a tattoo won’t work, he’ll tell you and that way you don’t end up with a tattoo you’ll end up regretting. Integrity comes before cash at Por Vida.

Angie is very polite and provides plenty of after care information. The piercing was done in a quick manner. The shop is clean and the people are laid back.
