Walked in to get my ears pierced today and had a great experience. Megan was nothing short of excellent, informative, and had such attention to detail. She was also just great to chat with, made sure i fully understood the process and aftercare instructions.I generally get from the vibe of the shop and everyone I interacted with that they care very much for their clients.Im absolutely coming back to get a second lobe piercing when this one heals. Highly recommend!

Amazing quality and hospitality at this shop. Dave has been my artist for some years now and took my two brothers and I in and knocked out three pieces for us. Everyone here is super cool and talented but Dave has earned three loyal customers in my family. Extremely clean shop with eye candy artwork in every direction. I did my Daith piercing here today with Megan and had a great experience! She is very knowledgeable and precise. She talks you through the procedure and the aftercare well :) I’d definitely come for more!

I did a walk-in for a tattoo last week. I had a design that I had sketched out. I was unsure about the size and placement since this was my first tattoo. The artist @evanstattoo spoke to me and helped me figure out what would be the right call. They also helped clean up my design so that it would look good. The actual session lasted around 45 mins. They also gave very detailed instructions on the aftercare. Really happy with how my tattoo turned out. Would definitely recommend the place.

I was a walk-in on a Sunday and picked a piece of flash off the wall. Everyone was super welcoming and helpful. Wayne did an incredible job. We had some really nice conversation, and he made me feel super comfortable. Ill definitely be returning again for my next tattoo. Highly recommend you do the same!

Best place to get piercings done. Kyla is straight up the most knowledgable and wholesome piercer ever. I have gotten 4 piercings from her and wouldnt want anyone else. I flew to GA from CA to get more from her and I would do it again.

I love this place. Everyone that works here is very friendly and welcoming. Both artists, Wayne and Chris, take their time to work with you to make sure you like your tattoo image and placement. They arent afraid to let you know when something may not work well, which i appreciate. I like when the artist gives me their opinion as well. Both are accommodating and very nice during the tattoo session as well. They will make sure you are comfortable and offer water. The piercer, Megan, is also super nice. Shes always excited to do a piercing. She has a very gentle hand and makes the experience the least painful as possible. She tries to make sure you are comfortable during the process and explains what she is doing. Her technique reflects she is skillful and well-practiced. Morgan (I believe is her name), answers the shops phone and delegates when an artist is free and is very helpful on walk-in tattoo days. She is the liaison between the artists and the customer. She is very nice and informative. I always enjoy coming here for both my tattoo and piercing needs.

Just came in for my first ever tattoo with my niece (her 10th but first time at Lucky 7). Dave was our artist and he was humorous, understanding, and determined to do the best job possible. I LOVE my new tat! Looks even better than the original I found online. I’m sure I’ll be back!

Walked in on a Friday afternoon, greeted immediately. This shop is professional, polite and welcoming. Wayne did an exceptional job, was very friendly and kept talking during my tattoo knowing I was very nervous. The shop was clean, and the tattoo was very affordable. Fast process, wonderful result. I would recommend this shop to anyone near and far.

Best shop around! I went there for my first tattoo. Wayne was extremely helpful. He had me come in for a consult and talked me through the piece. He did a phenomenal job. The details are impeccable! Highly recommend!

Great space, awesome flash, so clean and professional. Wayne is a good dude. I sat for 3 hours and it felt like 30minutes. Overall a fantastic experience. It’s been a good 15 or so years since my last tattoo and I look forward to knocking out some sleeves.

Today was my first time here. I walked in and the entire vibe of Lucky 7 is unmatched compared to other shops. Their aesthetic is unique and I loved their atmosphere right off the bat. I got my nose pierced and Megan was AMAZING! she was so gentle and professional. she made my experience super comfortable, quick and easy. She was such a sweetheart! Dave (@nameinblood) did a great job on my feet. Experience was pleasant; I didn’t feel like I was being pushed around like some tattoo shops. Also, my wife got butterfly tattoos from Kameko (@katmeko) who did a great job as well. Prices are definitely fair. I highly recommend coming to this place vs others in the area!

Great people and atmosphere! I walked in for my first tattoo and felt super comfortable. Everyone is so professional and welcoming. Wayne, my tattoo artist, gave me exactly what I wanted and I just could not be happier with my experience. I had such a good time I went back for one more tattoo a week later lol definitely recommend!

My wife and I wanted to get tattoos with our childrens birthdays. We were able to walk in, and have Chris do both of ours. Chris was friendly and professional. We waited about 90 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. I did not think the wait was unreasonable. Our tattoos were done in about 45 minutes each. We were very pleased with the work. I thought the pricing was also incredibly reasonable. I would definitely return to this business for any future work.

Wayne did my first ever tattoo last weekend at Lucky Seven and my entire experience was fantastic! I love how my tattoo turned out - its beautiful and exactly what I wanted! Everyone was super friendly and supportive. The shop was super clean and their covid processes were smooth and safe. I absolutely LOVE Lucky Seven and every tattoo I’ve gotten here!!! I’ve gotten multiple tattoos from Chris and he is so talented and kind! Megan and Wayne are so awesome too and I’m looking forward to getting more tattoos and piercings here in the future!! They are all so professional while also being lighthearted and fun and making the entire experience great! The walls are covered in so many possible tattoos, your choices are endless. Everyone at lucky 7 is awesome! I got my tattoos done by Chris and his work is amazing. I love my tattoos and will continue to come back. I have been recommending this place to everyone I know. They are very clean and make you feel very comfortable. The other artist there I met is very kind, and the piercer is so sweet and I will go to her for my piercings from now on. You will be very happy with the results of whatever you decide to get if you come here, 100% recommend it!

This place is great!!! My sister and I came in for matching tattoos. I didn’t catch the name of who was at the front desk but she was very welcoming, helpful, and accommodating! The place was clean and even though we came in during walk-in hours we didn’t wait very long. With that said Chris is amazing! Very personable, genuine, and talented! Myself and a friend came in as walk-ins last month for 2-3 piercings each. After a short wait we saw Megan, who was so fantastic. She did amazing with the piercings and implementing relaxation techniques and encouragement. She also was great about education regarding healing. Its been a little over a month and while Ive had ear piercings before, Id never done my nose and was a little anxious about the healing process. Everyone is different, but the nostril healing has been incredibly smooth and easier than all my lobes have ever been.Currently looking into what I want to do next. Next time Ill likely make an appt. just so I can consult about proper anatomy. Highly recommend Lucky 7 for piercings and there were quite a few in for tattoos while we were there too!

Lucky seven tattoo is a great shop! Both Chris and Wayne are great artist and friendly. Shop is clean and there is a great variety of flash on the wall to pick from. Its really dope to see most of the flash on the wall done by Chris and Wayne. I recommend anyone to go! Especially if your military!

First time at this shop and I cant convey enough what a positive experience I had from the minute the woman at the front counter answered the phone! Wayne my artist and shop owner was extremely personable and kind right from the get-go ... Fortunately he had a cancellation and I was able to get in right away! Then came my first conversation with Dave. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and down-to-earth. I knew this was going to be my new tattoo home and would be sending as many people there as possible. Between the establishment and Dave alone, it was everything anyone should want from a tattoo business but this also went for the other staff members. I would feel comfortable working with any of them based on observing them working with other clients. Everyone there is awesome!My tattoo from Dave came out better than the item I gave him to draw from! It meant something to me and he captured every beautiful detail. Its always nerve racking when going to a new tattoo shop or artist. Wayne not only was able to provide great sketches for me and my sisters tattoos on short notice but executed them perfectly, this along with covid procedures that made me feel confident my health and safety was at the utmost importance to the shop and staff. With that being said if you are looking for a good tattoo and a clean and well kept shop, lucky seven is a great place to go!

Just received my first tattoo, done by Chris Chapman. It’s a very simple design, so I’m not surprised at how well it turned out. (It’s great by the way) but I was, pleasantly, surprised by the fact that it didn’t hurt as much as people said it would! Chris told me a joke while he was doing the tattoo and when he was done with the joke, the tattoo was finished. Super fast and very well done! I will definitely be returning for the other tattoos I have planned!

My sibling and I got matching tattoos and they all came out great! My siblings tattoos healed perfectly (I just got mine this past weekend so Im still healing). COVID has put a damper on everything in the world but Lucky Seven has really made it so that everything/everyone is safe. They only allow the people getting something done inside the facility. The facility itself looked very nice and sanitary. My tattoo artist, Wayne, was super accommodating and did an amazing job!

For my my first tattoo, Chris was amazing!! Described how everything going to happen how it felt for the first tattoo, cuz tbh was really nervous. He was great for being able to reach outside of work hours for any questions. And was very knowledgeable about how to take care of the tattoo! I would most definitely come back again!!

Both of my parents got their tattoos at this shop many years back and I thought I might as well give it a try... Chris was very pleasant, kind, and aware during our session and I am very satisfied with the work. He also created my design and came up with exactly what I was looking for. Lucky 7 is an amazing shop! The atmosphere there is great, all the staff is extremely friendly and super helpful, and Chris and Wayne are phenomenal artist. I have a piece done by each of them and both are incredible! Couldn’t recommend this place more.

Great for one time go, bad for long time customers. Used to come in fairly frequently. Before, being able to make an appointment was easy. Then it swapped to an online form/email and I’ve had multiple requests to book, tried calling, different emails, and would end up with no appointment until I was told to reach out to Wayne directly. Now with the higher frequency of walk-in only days, it became even harder to try to request a specific artist or bookings are filled quickly the few times I called. I just gave up and I enjoyed the work and time while it lasted. I dont believe I need to chase an artist in order to get something set up especially even after years of patronage. Still great work though and wish them the bestAlso be aware (however not the shops fault) it tends to fill up with closed minded customers but what do you expect being that close to sailors and in the middle of nowhere

It was great experience. Very clean environment. Everyone was really nice. Had to set up an appointment online and they were great with communication. Very professional. Got 2 tattoos done by Wayne. One of them couldnt be like a pic I wanted due to the size because ink spreads. He did a great job interpreting what I wanted and finding a solution. Super happy with the results. Highly recommended.

I had my lower helix pierced by Megan this past weekend and words cannot express how GREAT my experience was! She was kind, courteous, thorough, and EXTREMELY patient. I’m very picky about minuscule things, and I think I may have asked her to fix the placement no less than 10 times. She never seemed agitated (even though it would’ve been justified) and helped me get the exact look I wanted. She explained what everything was/did, what she was doing the whole piercing process, and explained aftercare to me. I was a bit nervous to try a new shop, but i’m extremely glad I went (and not to mention this was a walk-in appointment that worked with my schedule). In all honesty, it was a bit pricey (starting is $50 for each of my piercings), but at the end of the day, the money was well spent and i’d 100% go back if I decide I want another piercing.**I listed below a reference picture I showed during my appointment and my final outcome.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I went in today being a little emotional for sentimental reasons, and realized they weren’t open for another hour. The owner, Wayne, came up to the door and asked if he could help me and I explained myself and he quickly asked what I was looking to get done and when. The short of it, he fit me in within 2 hours, and to be quite honest I knew I was in good hands from the start because of all the good things I heard about him and he’s been tattooing for 25 years! I did have a bad experience with line work before, and it being uneven, and different thicknesses through the writing, but within 45 mins, Wayne had me in and out! I literally could not be more happy than I am with this tattoo, and from here on out for my next 4 I know for sure he’ll be the only one doing them! This place is THE only place you should be going to.

Wayne is the absolute best. I just got my first tattoo, and I was *nervous*. Wayne was the opposite of pressure. He suggested I live with the stencil for a few days before I get something permanent on my skin. He just wanted me to be happy. I decided to stay, and Im glad I did! I got the worlds cutest tattoo and great conversation to boot. 5 stars just isnt enough for Lucky 7 Tattoo!!!

Wayne was patient and answered every question that I asked even the ones that I didn’t think to ask. During my first visit to the shop, Wayne suggested that I take the printout (after discussing sizes & placement) of the tat home and “live with it” a few days to make sure it is what I wanted.While getting the tattoo, he continually explained the process. Yes, the outline hurts more than filling it in. I admit that it was not as bad as I had made it out to be in my head. I’m more than happy with the finished product, especially the attention to detail.If you looking to get a tattoo and want professionally and welcoming service, I would recommend Lucky 7 Tattoo. The only thing I’d do differently is have them take a picture of the tattoo :).

Hi guys, so this was my first time ever going to lucky seven after following them on Instagram for a while. I contacted Chris through Instagram and he was very quick with a response and was very accommodating with what ever times worked best for me. I literally gave him a terrible picture that I found online that I liked the idea of, and the day of my appointment I walked in and he showed me what he drew up from that picture I showed him and it was so amazing. It definitely exceeded my expectations! I loved that I gave him just a tiny idea of what I wanted in my head and he brought it to life! He was amazing, very caring and very friendly. I was very comfortable from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. 10/10 would recommend and I will definitely be coming back when I am ready for my next tattoo! Was my first time here and first tat with the shop and just want to start off with saying how everyone is so sweet and kind and love the vibes and loved my tattoo !!! Chris did an amazing job on it and definitely will be back for way more!! I most definitely found my shop !!!🖤

Horrible customer service. First time I went, I just took my ID since it didn’t say anything about that on their website. The girl at the front desk was not very happy about that and told me to bring my birth certificate. I asked if I can bring my passport instead and she said “sure, it just has to be the real, physical passport”. A few hours later, I come in with my passport and she gives me the most disgusted look and says they don’t accept passports. She ends up rudely sending me and my dad away. A few days later, I went to a different place and they accepted my state ID with no problem. So don’t go here, it’s not worth your time and money especially with the rude workers.

What can I say? The second I walked in Wayne made me feel incredibly welcome. I had a very awkward gap to fill in my sleeve and Wayne took the time to make sure the rose I had fit as well as it could. Incredible work which Im super pleased with. Cant wait to go back for my next piece!

Came in during my lunch break to get some jewelry changed and the process was so quick and easy. Megan was absolutely fantastic; very informative, professional, and thorough. It was also reassuring to see that the establishment takes COVID-19 seriously, even as the mandates have been lifted.

Good for tattoos horrible for piercings . Got a bridge done and it was incredibly crooked , shop allowed a less experienced apprentice do a uncommon piercing went in and all that was done was switched for smaller jewelry to look less crooked and I wanted a tattoo that day the shop was hardly full at all and they couldn’t squeeze me in even after messing my face up . Piercing is now swollen the bar is showing through my skin and I have to worry about a giant scar on my face just Bc I have to take it out due to it being done in correctly. Giant scar at the center of my face to most likely await . Wouldn’t recommend anyone to get pierced here , I don’t understand how a piercer could even allow anyone to walk out with such a crooked piercing and I didn’t even get offered a refund

I’ve gotten 2 pieces done in the last month by Chris Chapman, his work is super badass! Everyone there is friendly and professional. Will definitely keep going back to Chris! I would highly recommend checking them out!

The front desk personnel was professional and squared away. My artist Chris was not. Before coming in there I’ve seen his work and was impressed. However he lacked the ability to listen and understand what I wanted. I provided detailed pictures and an explanation of what I wanted with examples. He simply ignored that and followed through with his own agenda. I don’t recall him making eye contact once. I’m sure other artists will give you a different experience there.

I was tattooed by Wayne. He was FANTASTIC! Knowledgeable, friendly, reasonable. He added to and improved a previous tattoo I had that was poorly done and it looks brand new. Really great experience all in all. The shop itself was very clean and a really nice environment.

Out of the corner of my eye this surprisingly pleasant and professional tattoo artist “Wayne” seemed to shift tactics in a sublimely and artistic way. Like the Mona Lisa, his emotions conveyed of complex and yet nuanced in his work. This is no ordinary tattoo artist he is a jewel of art worthy of louvre and unappreciated by most and the few that are fortunate to stumble across him.I’ve had countless hours of work completed here and will continue to do so. If your from here you already know to come here but if your not you’ve found the holy grail of shops to get your work done.

Wayne Evans, my artist, did a fantastic job with my ink. It was my first tattoo and Im terrified of needles so I was pretty nervous, but Wayne was awesome, talked me through the entire tattoo and Ill be proud to wear this for the rest of my life. 😊

One of the best tattoos Ive gotten by far! Danise is a true artist in her skill! She makes the client feel comfortable and talks them through pain. I had a thigh tattoo done to cover some scars which was probably my most painful tattoo and she was so understanding. She did my wifes tattoo as well. Needless to say I will be coming here from then on. I refer all my friends to Lucky Seven!

Dave was my tattoo artist at a different place that got closed down. When it closed I didnt know where he ended up. I happened to walk in to Lucky Seven, and there he was. Hes the only guy I trust to do my work, he will talk it through with you, and give honest feed back.

My wife and I did walk ins! We turned up early, like 20 mins before they opened to get a place in the line. Highly recommend you do that as it does get busy!Place was super clean and Chris was super professional! Highly recommend him. He gave great advice for after care and told me if I needed to ask any random questions he would happily answer.

Got my conch pierced by Megan and shes absolutely great. Very detailed in her work and process. Will be going for more once I heal.

Chris was terrific for this first time tattoo person! He was accommodating and had good suggestions for a positioning of the tattoo. I will be back for another one soon! Bravo Lucky seven tattoo!

Words can’t describe how this place is. First saw their ad in a newspaper on base. And from the ad I got their instagram and decided to take a closer look at their work and come to find out they were specializing in the exact style that I was looking for(American Traditional). So I messaged them not thinking they would reply for a day or two NOPE they responded within minutes. They were excited to work with the idea that I had so I planned a day to come see them and talk about it. I came in October 22nd which is a Saturday mind you. And they were slammed with sailors but that didn’t stop the EXCELLENT customer service that Jeff provided aka the coolest front desk man you’ll ever meet. From there Jeff got me in touch with Wayne who’s the shops owner I gave him a reference and told him I want your take in this and I let him run with it and man did he hit a damn grand slam. So we planned for the 29th for me to go under the needle. After 4 1/2 hours under the needle I’m proud to say I got a tattoo here. Single handily the best tattoo shop in the Chicago area you won’t find hospitality like that anywhere else. Thank you to the staff at Lucky 7!!! Y’all are amazing! Also Wayne if you see this keep a lookout for the postcards this tattoo is gonna travel the world! One day I’ll be back!

Im soooo happy I chose this place. The environment is very laid back and everyone is cool and chill. The owner did my tat of a lotus with a geometric backround and even made suggestions on how to make it look better than I planned! It didnt hurt much, the quality is awesome and I noticed theyre really good with using bright colors so come here if you want your tats to pop!!
