Rex and his wife are awesome. I went in for a cover-up with little idea of what I wanted. I gave him a little idea and he just made it so much more then I ever could have dreamed of. He was very patient and concerned that I was comfortable.

Jerrica (@jbabytattz) has done multiple tattoo pieces on me as-well as piercings. She is very efficient and passionate with the work she does. She is the ONLY piercer around that I will go to!I’ve also have a big tattoo piece done by Rex. He is quick and reasonable with pricing. I love the work these two do! Both are very welcoming, truly care about their clients, and are light handed.10/10 love this shop and the people in it!

Responded right away when I messaged and scheduled appt as well. Rex fixed my tattoo on my wrist to what I originally visioned 18 yrs ago. Very talented, very professional, and very kind. Highly recommend this place.

Black Bird Tattoo has been the best tattoo experience I have ever had! My sister, cousin and I walked in around 5 oclock with absolutely no ideas or concepts in mind and after about an hour of looking and going back and forth with Rexs wife Shana (who is now totally my favorite person ever!!) I found the perfect elephant floral piece to put on my arm. Not only did he free hand draw all three of our tattoos but he was so efficient with time and we had so much fun getting them. The vibe in their shop is definitely more comfortable and homey than other options. I was in town visiting family and I would absolutely make a separate trip out to Texas just for Rex to do some more work. Not only was the experience comfortable, welcoming and just wonderful, but they are the cleanest studio I have seen. If you are debating between here and any other place, go here. Dont even bother going anywhere else!

Honestly GREAT experience this was my first professionally done piercing so I was kinda nervous but he was very kind. He had AMAZING control over the needle, I got my industrial and he lined it up PERFECTLY 10/10 100% recommend this place.

Rex is an awesome tattoo artist. I tell him my ideas and he makes them even better than I could think up. So far Ive gotten 3 tattoos and plan to get more. Now 5 tattoos from Rex.

For my cousins 16th birthday, we came to Black Bird with fake tattoos from Amazon to see if Rex could give him the full tattoo experience. Rex set up all his equipment and even let my cousin listen to the tattoo machine. Everyone was extremely kind and patient. Definitely a great place to go!
