Billy Powells Ink Works Tattoo & Piercing

Billy is very personable and does great work ! I have had multiple tattoos from ink work over the last few years. I recently wanted a tattoo cover up and he was able to fix it right up! Wish I had gone to him in the first place for that one or I would not have needed the cover up! He is very friendly and I could have stayed and talked to him much longer than I was able. I highly recommend him for any tattooing you would like done, even for a consult. He will give you an honest opinion and great work!

Walked in told them exactly what I wanted and Travis was able to help me on placement and how it would look on my body. I highly recommend will definitely be going back for future work

This is where I got my 1st professional tattoo. I got it when they were on 221.And thats been 20 years ago. Tribal across my right shoulder.mine is filled in my brothers wus tribal tattoo but his wus not filled in his wus outlined I cant think of the name of how they drow his or tattooed his tattoo.Mine has a few darker than the other ones but not bad for 20 years.It would all be the same if I would have gone back within haf a year. If I would have listened it would probably be better. And iv got 2 more from here to. Its relaxing. Call me crazy but it helps clear my head.

Billy Powell took extremely good care of me. As soon as you walk in this shop you know he is no joke, trophies and awards all around. He did the best Celtic line work on my tattoo that I have ever seen and I am always recommending others to his place of business. The pricing is reasonable, but you definitely pay for what you get. I have had my tattoo from him for almost two years now and it still looks just as stunning as it did the day I walked out of the shop.

This place is awesome! Everyone there is friendly and down to earth. Kevin did an amazing job on my tattoo. I couldnt be happier with the way it turned out. He really takes pride in his work. I would recommend him to anyone.

This was my first time getting my nose pierced and they did a great job let me looked at it to make sure thats where I wanted it before i got it pierced. Explained everything to me how to clean it and what do it if anything happens. Nice and clean environment. The staffs are very nice and polite. The price was worth it. With such a busy schedule myself...I was blown away times 10. The welcoming smile and Artistic decor took me back to the reason I fell in love with tattoos. Staying open late meant the world to me because I knew that it would be worth it. He may have been tired but completely professional he maintained. It exceeded my expectations...But to be tattooed by the Living Legend Billy himself, was the most amazing part. His skillset is unmatched and conversation was the most amazing ever. To know that people like him still exist is amazing. I went in with an idea and he sent it to the stars.. taking off with it and creating an impeccable masterpiece. Billy and team inkworks will forever be apart of my life. I am excited to return for additional piercings to my slightly pierced body in the up and coming days or weeks. Keep up the great work. Got my nose pierced at this parlor, I wasn’t shown the piercing mark before actually being pierced and he left the needle hanging in my nose while he got things together. He also pierced at an angle and did it far too high, I took the piercing out and decided to let it heal over since I can’t put any other studs in it and it looked terrible. Got another nose piercing from some place else and they did wonderful and only charged $25, my bad piercing was $40. Will definitely not be coming back to this place.

Scott started a cover up and never finished. I paid him completely for the tattoo. And it was a custom cover up that he designed.

I’ve been planning to get my daughter’s ears pierced here for months. When we showed up this week, they had a sign on their door forbidding masks with a derogatory reference to “sheep.” I understand a business like this not requiring masks in this area, but insulting people attempting to keep their unvaccinated children safe seems like a very poor business decision. I often see this business recommended in local forums for being one of few places that will pierce children’s ears, and will be sure to share this detail every time I see them recommended. For anyone looking for a place to pierce kids, we had a great (masked) experience with Wilkes Jewelers in Appomattox after leaving Inkworks.

They messed up a nautical star...Like how do you do that? And the flame lines are super sloppy. Pretty sure the artist was high the entire time. And I dont mean pot. To each their own, but this is what happens when you let someone in that state of mind alter your body permanently. I offered to let him try another piece I wanted if hed fix it (literally color it in solid black is all I wanted, because when you mess up a nautical star...ya know). He said hed fix it, but when I came back a week later, the owner said....nope! Forget you!

Me and my friend went in to get our piercings. My friend got her septum done and I got my diath. A month later my friend went to another tattoo and piercing parlor and they informed them that her septum was pierced too low and may have scar tissue. However, my diath piercing seems fine, I did notice that my skin around the piercing hole turned gray. Not sure if its the jewlry or not. The bottom line is that the ppl seemed nice, however, probably will not be going back.

I went today and got my nose pierced was really nervous but the gentleman was very nice and talked to me to calm me. Went very well im happy with it.

Took my Grandaughter,she got a beautiful tattoo today,,given by Scott.Wow what a sweet talented young man.I highly recommend going to Billy Powells and please ask for Scott!

HE IS THE SAFEST CLEANEST TATTOO ARTIST I KNOW. I HAVE 14 TATTS AND ALL BUT 1 HAS BEEN FROM HIS SHOP AND10 I BELIEVE HE DID PERSONALLY. I DONT TRUST ANYONE ELSE TO DO MY TATTOOS.

Very disappointed in this shop, have always heard very nice things about them, I call to ask a question and get yelled at for no reason, feel that a better manner could have been used, definitely would not recommend!!
