Love this place! Went to get a dermal piercing removed due to it rejecting, well the lady who does the piercing took one look at my septum I had done a week ago and told me it was done wrong to please let her correct it. She was amazing at informing on the correct position. She didactic great job at removing my dermal to! Also have talked to Mark about working up a sleeve that will mean a lot to be. Looking forward to that! 10/10 recommend going here to piercing and tattoo! Very nice and welcoming people!❤️

So I am visiting Louisiana and wanted to get a tattoo to remind me of my time here It’s my new souvenir thing). I went in on Thursday and was able to book an appointment with Mike Dawsey for Saturday. I gave him a Google picture of the idea I was thinking of (I mean let’s face it: nobody just wants to download a pic of the internet & get THAT) and I gave him a direction of where I wanted to go with it. Mike did NOT disappoint!! What he did was truly amazing! Tattoo artists I believe a frequently underrated as “artists”. But Mike is truly a master of his craft. He took my rough “notes” and adapted it to EXACTLY what I wanted. Meticulously & precisely is the way he tattooed me. Thank you Mike!!

It has been a week since I got my tattoo and I still have as much love and excitement for it as I do after I got it done. Melisa was awesome with changing out my piercings and also, gave me good tips about how to clean my piercings! She was very sweet and gentle and I will definitely be going back to her🩷 I highly recommend her if you need any piercings done!

I absolutely love Turning Point Tattoos and my artist James Laing. I originally came in looking for color work done for my first arm piece. Eric recommended James and now I have 2 pieces on my forearms and working on a full sleeve on the right. James is always easy to work with and has a wealth of knowledge on composition, color and body mapping. Scheduling an appointing with James is super easy as he works with my sometimes crazy schedule and Im always happy with the result when I go! All of the guys who work here are super friendly and professional. For custom work, this is where its at and its what keeps me coming back for 5 years now.

Melisa is a great piercer. Ive been coming to her for years and bringing my kids and friends to get everything from nostrils to lips to belly buttons pierced and I couldnt be happier with the service. Everything has always healed really well and never once have we had any trouble with our jewelry. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who ask.

I lost my dog of 17 years on Saturday. Bruce did an amazing piece for me to memorialize his pawprint. On top of that, Bruce is so gentle tattooing. I have 9 others and I fell asleep during his! I look forward to coming back and using him again. Hes professional, friendly, creative, and listens to what the client wants and needs. Thank you again. This piece means so much to me.

Was talking with Mark about a cover up and waited 2 weeks for the results and they never came, asked for a follow up, said he was working on it, 2 months later asked for another follow up still no response and left on read. Terrible customer service

I got to work with mark and it turned out amazing. I did 2 sessions, back to back days, and both times were phenomenal. He was very professional and his quality of work is superb. He’s able to hold great conversation, or zone-in to the tattoo depending on the person. I will be going back for more work.

Went in for a septum piercing and despite my deviated nostrils my piercer did a fantastic job. Highly recommend.

I was pierced by a wonderful lady the service wasn’t a problem i was seated and pierced in 30 minutes. She pierced me with a 16 gage which is used for septum . i have witnessed her pierce other girls with this needle and type of jewelry which breaks very easy and isn’t used elsewhere . It has become incredibly difficult and expensive to find jewelry to fit in the hole. Also my mother and sister got horribly puffy ill detailed tattoos and they didn’t look anybetter after touch ups. they also were tattooed by a supposed trainee. this is a warning i have seem people have great service. It sucks having to run around town to find a piercing that fits in the side of my nose without falling out.

Throat tattoo, definitely the best/worse spot so far. Tattoo artist Mike was great he drew me something up and almost after 2, 4 hour sessions a masterpiece was born. I would recommend this shop all the guys/girls seem professional. A good tattoo aint cheap! A cheap tattoo aint good! 🤣

Im super impressed with the cleanliness of this shop. I made an appointment with Melissa to get my daith pierced and she was super friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel at ease during the whole procedure. The piercing was a lot quicker and less painful than I expected. I highly recommend! This girl knows her stuff!

After I moved to the Northshore I was very nervous about trusting someone else with my piercings, but Melisa is amazing! Melisa carries Junipurr (only place that carries Junipurr in the New Orleans area) and is knowledgeable and friendly. I had to get an MRI done and she replaced all of my piercings with plastic retainers for free (I made sure to tip her). She special ordered the out of this world ufo piece from Junipurr for me and called me as soon as it arrived, it took maybe two weeks. I plan on getting a full Junipurr set up eventually and cant wait to go see Melisa again once my current piercings are healed. Do yourself a favor and go see Melisa for your future piercings, I promise you wont regret it!

Ive gotten several tattoos from Turning Point and have never been disappointed.

Love this place. Everyone there had good and friendly personality. Everett Is great. Light handed, funny and respectful. I highly recommend Turning Point got all your tattoo needs and wants. Im already planning my next one.

I had an appointment scheduled with an artist (never got his name, but he did my wife’s tattoo) for 10am today (5/5/21) and the artist never showed up. I waited outside for half an hour before leaving. Called back after they opened and never got an answer or a call back, went into the shop to talk to the artist and he wasn’t even working today. 10/10 for my wife’s tattoos but 0/10 for mine seeing as it never happened. Thanks for the load of nothing guys.

Great piercer!!!! She took the time to see if my daith and tragus piercings were actually closed up (like another shop told me they were) instead of just charging me to repierce both of them. The stretching of both was horrendous but manageable (no tears just colorful language) she was as gentle as she could be to get the job done. Will be returning for any other piercings

I used to love Turning Point, I actually got four and a half tattoos there. The last one, I prepaid $300 to an artist who was later fired. I had half of the tattoo completed and was scheduled to get the other half completed before the artist was fired. The owner refused to give me a refund of my money, ($150) and the artist refuses to give me my money either. Also, neither would complete my tattoo. So basically, the shop/artist stole $150 from me. I will never go there again. They’re not an honest company and obviously the owner, Eric, does not take responsibility for his employees.

Had one artist start a tattoo for me but when I tried to contact him after he never responded, started another tattoo with a different artist and he messed up on the lettering.

Went with daughter to get a new tattoo. Shop is always clean and everyone is professional.

I have gotten tattoos by both Mark and Marx here including a quarter sleeve. I constantly get complements on their work. It is a clean place. I felt safe getting my work done there and Im a RN.

Ty does a great job and the entire building is comfortable and homely. The other artist are nice and the work seems jam up. Looking forward to my next piece.

EXCELLENT EXCELLENT interior decor. Amazing, friendly,, and knowledgeable staff. All of them so eager to help bring my vision into fruition. I definitely recommend anyone going here to get work done and its going to be my only shop from now on.

I couldnt see my tattoo to well yesterday but today while cleaning it others and I noticed what appears to be a smiley face in the middle of my tattoo that I didnt ask for and the shading was not done properly. Not happy at all with the tattoo that will be on me forever.

I got my first tattoo here from a really rad man named Mark, he was really respectful, listened to me, and made it as painless as possible! Im looking to go back soon and my tattoo came out beautifully!!

Eric and the team at Turning Point are the best artist to work with. Since Tattoos are permeant for the most part make the right choice and connect with these folks.
