Artful Impressions Tattoo and piercing studio

WARNING. PLEASE READ.So I was going to highly recommend this place, in fact, they did such a good job, and encouraged my daughter to get her first ear piercings and congratulated her when they were done, that I was extremely pleased and am still giving 4 stars for that. With that, I was a bit suspicious as to why the earrings themselves were so cheap, being supposedly titanium. Well, I found my answer after... I think just a week. I was wondering why her ears were so inflamed and why she was hurting so bad. I also wondered why my neighbors kid (though they recommended this place) got her ears infected so badly that it left scars. Turns out, they are only very lightly plated titanium, if they are titanium at all. After just a week, they started getting rusty and her ears were swollen twice their size. I took a picture of the earrings, and while its hard to tell in the photo, they are faded and rusted. I immediately had to dig up some of our white gold earrings and she has improved significantly over night. So, they are very good here, but I dont recommend keeping the earrings that it comes with until they get better products. I know sometimes it says it, but this review was made July 6th of 2024. I wont be getting anymore piercings through them unless my son wants his ears pierced, so I wont be able to improve this review if they improve their products. Again, its just the product thats the issue, not the people. The people were wonderful.

I was VERY happy with my piercing experience! Connie wasted absolutely no time. She was precise. Quick. And it was truthfully painless. Pricing is immaculate! Will definitely be returning here for future piercings! Thanks for being a beast, Connie!

Very clean place , smells good ,& friendly smiling receptionist...place looks small , til you start going back...I was surprised. Nice woman who done my daughtersnose piercing was so patient, sweet , talking her threw it , and made her 1st experience one she will always remember...& the fact shes tickled pink & surprised how quick she was... Connie did an amazing job on my eyebrow piercing, she was so sweet and knows what she’s doing. Everyone there was super nice and the process was easy. The pricing was super affordable as well. Best piercing place in the area.

The piercings i got was a nose piercing and snake bites. They were pierced by Connie (the one with purple hair) she did a very great job on everything and no problems happened. I came back today a week later to get my snake bite bars changed but the swelling was not down enough i guess because the woman who was changing them could not get them in so it seemed like she was forcing it after a while. I was in very bad pain on my lip and it was slightly bleeding. She got the first one in but that hurt a lot because she couldn’t get that in that well either. I cried and had to stop her and let it close and then try again in a week or two. This was a different woman (Connie’s daughter) i didn’t get her name. Her hands were shaking from when she started. She was sorry and gave me a free snake bite piercing card for when i come back. No hate to the woman that did that but it was a horrible experience for me. Will be coming back but i would recommend Connie for piercings and changing the piercings.

Took my daughter in for her birthday and Connie did her piercing. She was fun to work with and she was quick. Didnt mind silly questions. Great place and the best staff ever. The prices are awesome as well. Ill be going and getting my nose done very soon. Thanks guys awesome job !!!!

Such an amazing shop with the best vibes. They have the nicest and awesome staff. They do such an amazing job and have great prices and deals. I also got my dermal and Monroe done here and they look great and are healing amazingly.

I got my navel and nostril peirced there on the same day and it hasn’t gotten infected at all and their so cute I personally love this place

I got my first piercing here, a septum and Connie was amazing, she talked to me and my parents the whole time and was really friendly. It was almost nothing, I was nervous beforehand and wondered why I was after because it barely hurt, the main thing was my eyes watering. I will definitely come back here for more piercings. I recommend this place 100%Update: I got all of my piercings here, Connie did amazing and all of my piercings have healed well.

Benjamin Miles is pretty badass. I went for a new tat, but truth, I want a really girly tattoo and preferred one of his co-workers work for the piece. He was totally awesome about it. I decided to have him fix an old homemade tat. The look on his face hahaha. He was great and seriously so talented that my husband is seeing him next week to begin a sleeve. Stoked to see how it turns out!

If I could give this place a 10/10 I would. Everyone is so friendly Rick is by far the best tattoo artist he puts up with me for hours on end his ideas are amazing. Connie is just as wonderful she was super helpful with my son who was not pierced here but she fixed the issue she didn’t create.

Ive gotten my nose pierced twice here. I walked in and was able to get my nose pierced immediately. It was $45 to get my nose pierced each time.Lots of jewelry to choose from. Love their Merch (t shirts, hoodies, etc) Very personable, chill atmosphere.I support Women Owned Businesses!! Definitely Recommend!

Thought I had to get my septum completely repierced, but she just had to push a taper thru and saved me 35$. She was such a sweetheart and made my experience a great one!

Ive been here twice for piercings and have had phenomenal experiences both times. Connie was wonderful with my daughter when she asked for her ears pierced for her 7th birthday. She even got to leave with a temp tattoo of her own😊

I wouldn’t advise going here, my first tattoo got messed up by an apprentice and then went to get it fixed by a different guy at the same shop, now I’m butchered and have to spend big bucks to get it completely covered. I would suggest going somewhere else.

Exceptional customer service at Artful Impressions! Went in to get my tongue re-pierced and found out that the piercing never completely closed. Concetta was able to open my piercing and just charged me for the jewelry. I was very appreciative and plan to go back!

Got my baby girls nose pierced here, the girl that did it was kind and even tho it took a little longer (not much) than I expected, service was great and it turned out spectacular. Pricing wasnt bad either. Thanks a bunch

I have gotten numerous piercings and tattoos here. The staff is always pleasant and so very caring. Connie the piercer is so very warm and gentle, and listens well to the most nervous of nerves. She has a way of making the experience more calm and enjoyable. Rick, who has done my tattoos as well as my husbands, is funny, warm, and precise on his work. I have watched him grow into an amazing and skillful artist! His technique is beautiful, turns our ideas into masterpieces, and it helps that he has a light hand. Matt who is the other artist there, is very sweet and also does very detailed, beautiful work. We have gotten so many compliments on our tattoos, I could not imagine a better experience! We always feel at home, and know we are not going to leave unhappy. Highly recommended for sure!

I don’t normally write reviews, but I just felt the need to after my amazing experience today! This is my first piercing besides my ears, and Autumn Davidson was my piercer, and she was extremely nice and very professional. She made sure to open each packet in front of me, and explain each step of the procedure to me so I knew what was going on. She also gave me personal advice on what she did with hers, and how I could improve it. Very clean store as well, and I was in and out before half an hour. Thank you so much Autumn, and I will come back again!

Both my son and my niece wanted to get their ears pierced for their birthdays. They are ages 6 and 9 and my niece got both of her ears pierced while my son just got his one ear pierced. My son was a little bit apprehensive but Connie was fantastic with him and he ended up going through with it and left feeling like a rock star. Im so glad that we went there and kudos to Connie for really knowing how to handle children. She was great with my niece also. And they got a tattoo while they were there so they were pretty excited about that too. Overall a great experience!

Our son wants a tattoo so bad so they set him up just like they would for a real tattoo and gave him a fake tattoo...❤️❤️❤️

I had my bottom lip pierced here, had to take it out but wasnt anything they did wrong!The lady with Purple Hair, was Great and very Supportive when I got scared. LolIll definitely be Back!

I had heard mixed reviews on the daith piercing. Some said it was very painful while others said the opposite. It wasnt too bad for me. The girl doing mine said, man! Your ear is really thick! So, it took a long time for her to get it done. I think it all depends on your pain tolerance level and how bad you want it done.I would highly recommend Artful Impressions! Theyre very clean and friendly!

My daughter and I walked in on a whim without an appointment and we were immediately greeted by the friendly face of Jennifer who started right away with preparations. I got my daith pierced and my daughter got both ears. Jennifer was so nice and put us both at such ease we almost didnt notice the pain. We were in and out within a half hour And the price was amazing! Jennifer is an Outstanding piercing specialist and I would highly recommend going to visit Artful Impressions for any body art work done!

I arrived at artful impressions to get my nose repierced. I have never been to this tattoo and piercing shop before. Walking in there was a good amount of people waiting for piercings. Which is fine I don’t mind a wait. I filled out the consent form and the man who is also a tattoo artist was working behind the desk. He seems to be very high and then passed out looking for a pen for me. At that point I became very concerned. He then took a client back for a tattoo. She came out a few minutes later and said someone might want to check on him he keeps nodding out. The piercer went back to check on him and clearly is just higher than a kite. It was a big ordeal. Pretty crazy. The poor piercer was left alone to do everything herself and deal with the the high coworker. She was absolutely amazing. She powered through everything and was absolutely amazing to her customers I would give her 5 stars without a doubt. Unfortunately I do not recommend getting a tattoo from this place. What you do on your own time is your problem but do not bring it to your place of work. Someone’s skin is not something to play around with. Someone could have been seriously injured or worse.

Every interaction has been great, the only place my wife will go for piercings. Connie is great and always so fun to talk to. Would give 10 stars if I could, 10/10 will continue to recommend

Jenn is great!! Got my helix done 5 weeks ago and havent had a problem. Even with having 4 other piercings she still took the time explain how to clean it even tho they were packed ($13 piercings) will be back for more!

I am one of 7 siblings and we have talked about getting tattoos together for a few years. We were together for my sisters wedding and reached out to Tiffany VERY last minute and she was able to fit us in. She made that experience better than we ever could imagine. Awesome experience. First tattoo

They seem very nice and gave us lots of information. But when we asked the lady when we could come back for a tattoo and piercing she told us she last appointment was at 8pm but the shop closes at 10pm and someone else would be there who had open appointments. So we told her that we would be back at 7:30pm and were told that was fine. We got there at a little before 7:30pm and the shop was closed. We thought that maybe they were in the back and had locked the door so we knocked loudly and called a few times with no answer. Im sure that if someone had been there for our appointment that they would have gotten a better rating.

A few friends and I went to get piercings for “galentines day” Our piercer Diana was AMAZING she was kind, extremely helpful with picking piercings and helping chose rings for my pre existing piercings. 10/10 would recommend this place! The area was super clean and every tool was sterile and the atmosphere was great. Diana was great too! Go Diana!!

Autumn is an awesome piercer! I cant wait to go back to get my mom & my other friend a piercing. Tattoos will follow soon!! We both got tongue rings and I got a nose ring. My gf also got her septum and smiley done there months ago and loved them!

I don’t understand. I called before hand to ask about getting my belly button Pericing and they said oh yeah we take our last appointment at 9. I said ok do I have to make an appointment and they said no just walk in. So I walk in at 7:30 waited a half hour just for them to tell me that they cleaned everything up because business is slow. I said ok thanks I drove 45 mins away got there at 7:30 and had to wait just for them to tell me they cleaned everything up even tho they still have an hour and half to do periceings. When I was walking out they said “bye Felicia”. How unprofessional! I always heard good things about them but after today that changed. I would not recommend.

It was great going there. Staff was nice and fun to be around and getting my nose done was quick and easy. The staff helped explain aftercare for getting the piercing which was extremely helpful since is was my first time and would recommend them to other people.

Horrible service, came here to get family tattoos with a personal for me, artist was high or intoxicated he misspelled family on my better tattoo days fummly. Shop world never return text or phone calls.

My wife wanted to get a piercing done. She called this shop on a Saturday morning to see if she needed an appointment. She needed something late, so she was told to come in at 2045. I was visiting with my family in New Albany, and left earlier than I normally would have so I could go with her. We got to the shop at 2040 only to find it closed. So not only did I cut time with my family short, I also wasted my time and my fuel driving across town for nothing, which needless to say made me quite angry. Disrespect for a person’s time is a surefire way to send business to the competition, of which there is certainly no shortage in the area.

My friend and I got our eyes pierced at this shop and it was a great experience! Staff was friendly.

Came here to get my snake bites done because they were having a promotion. The girl pierced the one side fine. The other side she literally pierced through my bottom lip. Then took it out, tried again and pierced way to low that time. Took it out asked if i wanted to try again i said no and they gave me a card for a free piercing to come back and get it done. I never went back. I went to a shop in bucyrus and the guy got it almost perfect 1st try.

I almost passed out after my piercing and they were so nice and helped me calm down!!

I got 2 tattoos from this shop about 4 years ago from someone who worked there named Shannon. I had just turned 18 and was eager to get tattoos and didn’t really have any idea what to expect. I also went to the tattoo shop by myself. The first tattoo I received were the words “Love yourself” on my side. At first glance in a mirror, it looked ok. So a few days later, I went back to get a tattoo of 3 small birds on my shoulder blade. I then came home and showed all of my friends my tattoos. First, the “love yourself” tattoo..I trusted their opinion because they could actually look at it straight on instead of in a mirror. They all said it was uneven and sure enough..it was VERY uneven and also looked like a 5 year old wrote it when looked at closely. Second, the birds tattoo.. I already was unhappy with how they looked. The birds were too fat and not shaped right. My friends said they looked more like stingrays and they were right. I can’t tell you how many nights I cried over how awful these tattoos were. I eventually went to another tattoo artist who covered both of the tattoos up.. making both tattoos significantly much larger than I wanted and turned into something I didn’t originally want either. Hundreds of dollars went into the cover ups and I wish Artful Impressions or Shannon himself would reimburse me for all of the trouble I’ve gone through with these tattoos. I’m so upset I now have two LARGE tattoos that I didn’t want and I’m actually spending even more money now to just get removed completely because I’m so sick of looking at them. This whole thing wouldn’t have even happened had the artist known what he was doing in the first place. I want this tattoo studio/Shannon to pay for all of this cover up & removal work!!

Went to get my first large piece, which is on my ribs. Emmah is amazing. So nice, makes you feel comfortable, and cares about the art she puts out. This is the only place I will go to now.

Came here for my first tattoo and Rick did amazing! Couldn’t have asked for better follow up or service. I will be coming back for more very soon!

Got 6 ear piercings! Connie did great! Super quick and helped me figure out what I wanted

Ive been in alot of tattoo shops, some better then others, but what I experienced with this place was awful. We went in to have a daith piercing done. First of all it bled like crazy, which is nuts bc they dont normally bleed. 2nd when she pierced it with the needle, she failed miserablely at quickly replacing the needle with the bar. Anyone who has had a piercing knows that replacing the needle with the actual jewelry is sometimes worse than the piercing itself, discomfort wise. I am not stretching the truth when I say she dug around in this girls ear for all of 4-5 minutes. Now in the middle of this, the piercer makes the remark Im having a hard time bc I havent ate today, so Im a little shaky. Ok I dont know about u, but had that been me piercing, if I thought I wasnt able to do the job I would ask someone else to do it. Now after the 4-5 minute digging for gold adventure she still had to put not one but 2 balls on this bar. Small ear + 2 fat fingers + already tender ear= TOTALLY unnecessary pain and discomfort. Now mind u this review is coming from me, who only observed this, but I have recently had my Daith pierced (almost 2 weeks ago) and had it done at Moniques in ClearWater, FL, so I went into this with this 14 YEAR (This is suppose to help with migraines, which she has terriblly) thinking I knew what to expect bc my experience was Great, start to finish..WRONG!!! Anyway moving onLast but not least, THE CLEAN UP or lack there of. If Im able to post picture with this review, it will speak for itself. After reading this I dont have to tell u, We will NOT back here, nor will we refer anyone.

I have gotten three piercings at Artful Impressions. Always had a good experience with them. Piercings were done expertly and healed well.

Autumn was a great piercer did a wonderful job and explained what she was doing each step.and explained the after care and everything will definitely be going back.

Got a tattoo last week and was very pleased by Emmah. But was unsure about what aftercare was needed and such. Never once was explained the aftercare. It was never wrapped. My tattoo is bleeding to other tissue on my finger. Not sure what to do since nothing was explained to me.

Got mine & my daughters noses pierced here!! Worked with Autumn & Connie!! Great people & great comfortable atmosphere.

I had both sides of my top lip done and belly button which Ive had all done a few times before and never had a problem with any of my piercings then I went and got all 3 done there and had to end up taking all my piercings out because they started swelling so bad after a few weeks it was a horrible experience and Im so upset I had to have them all redone somewhere else and havent had a problem
