Absolutely outstanding job by JR piercing my 6 year old daughters ears tonight. He took the time to explain everything and the environment was extremely clean and calming. The most impressive thing was that he took the time to speak to her and get her consent. He was very focused on making sure she was comfortable at every step. His overall demeanor was fantastic and I would recommend him for anyone looking to pierce a childs ears or for a first time piercing. Thank you for a job well done!

Both of my daughters got their ears pierced by JR. And it was such a great experience. He took the time to talk to them about what the process was going to be, was honest when it came to the pain, and showed them the instruments he was going to use. One of my girls was ready to go and got it done the first time, while the other needed a few visits to build up the courage to do it. JR wouldnt perform the piercing until they were both 100% comfortable with their decision and was not pushy at all.He showed me the sanitization machine and had me sign the sanitization card to prove that it was the instruments we was going to use and not swap them out for something else. Very very thorough. I also felt 100% comfortable with the cleanliness and grade of earrings he offered.I am so glad I took them to JR and would highly recommend Golden Aura.

The team here is amazing as always! If you want a piercing and want it done right, Golden Aura is the place in Marion for you.The piercers are held to the Association of Professional Piercer standards which far exceed the state and general industry requirements.The shop space is bright and open with large, private rooms for piercings. It is a very calming atmosphere and overall beautiful. You can tell that much care and thought were put in to the designing of the space.Yes there are cheaper places you can go, but you pay for quality, attention to detail, and unique expertise that the staff has along with the personalized experience. You get the entire process explained to you and have the chance to ask any questions you may have.They use implant grade titanium and gold so that it minimizes the chances of allergic reactions to metals (which as someone sensitive to most metals is very useful). The jewelry is always top tier and there is a wide variety to choose from.Overall I HIGHLY recommend this studio and they will always hold a special place in my heart.

Jay R is simply amazing! Ive been to him for many of my piercings. Very knowledgeable, unbelievably clean, friendly and funny. Prices on jewelry are higher than some, but its high quality, gorgeous jewelry thats very well worth it.

I recently stopped in for a piercing and am always happy to find JR working. He is the most knowledgeable and best piercer in town. Just like everything, you get what you pay for. I do not mind spending a little more with him and the fine quality jewelry he carrys. I know that I have in turn hired someone that is highly trained and experienced. Do not just go to any piercing shop, head over to Golden Aura in Marion as you will not be disappointed.

Had the absolute most amazing experience at Golden Aura!!! Not only did i feel so incredibly welcome the second i walked in, i felt just as comfortable. Andy did my piercing... could have fooled me that he is an apprentice. The chemistry and comrade between him and JR was outstanding. I felt like i could be myself. I felt like my choices/wants mattered. I went in not being 100 percent sure what i wanted, and they were patient with me. I didn’t feel rushed or stressed in making my choices with my pieces. My past experiences at chain jewelry stores was nothing compared to the service i received here. I highly highly recommend Golden Aura for your piercings, holistic and/or energy needs.

Very clean and professional! My seven year old getting her ears pierced felt very comfortable because of JRs professional, yet relatable manner. Having taken another child to a place that used a piercing gun, I highly recommend Golden Aura for kids getting their ears pierced. The difference is how its done is night and day. Everything was so clean and sterile. I cant imagine well have any trouble with infection or changing out earrings when she is able to do so.

JR is wonderful to work with. He has a way to make you feel at ease and always lightens the mood. He is very patient and explains everything, which is awesome for people with anxiety. In all, it is always a great experience with JR. Great Job Golden Aura!

She was so patient and knowledgeable- she was willing to take the time to work with me to come up with a solution that would fit my anatomy and still give me the overall aesthetic I wanted. I’ve been wanting to work with JayR for a while now and finally scheduled an appointment online for a piercing. The location is completely zen and relaxing when you walk in, It really helps calm the nerves of getting a piercing. The professionalism, cleanliness and hospitality are unmatched in my opinion—not to mention the jewelry selection. Shoutout JayR and Matty for making my experience a great one! JayR has been my go to Piercer in Cedar Rapids since I started getting pierced in 2017. He is one of the most knowledgeable, kind, caring, and relatable Piercer I know.Every appointment I have had with him has been a great experience. My questions (which are many) are all answered. I am treated with the upmost respect. He makes sure the placement of the piercing is within the alignment of my anatomy and preferred positioning too.The shop has a bright and cheery atmosphere that makes you feel welcome and safe as soon as you enter the door. The jewelry selection is still growing but the available choices are great and can be somewhat modified/customized too.If you are new to piercings or a veteran of the needle. JayR and co. Are the best in the Cedar Rapids/Marion district.

My daughter and I went there for a consultation today. we heard theres a piercing to help migraines / anxiety. After talking to JayR we were convinced that was the place to get it gone. We both picked out earrings but I wanted purple more. They told me they could order mine so I waited but my daughter wanted to get hers done right away. Highly recommend them to anyone!
