I have had three pieces done by Zac and one previous piece touched up. Every experience at Main Street Tattoo has been awesome! From consultation to design to execution, I’ve been more than pleased. These artists are all top-notch, the shop is clean and welcoming, and I’ve never had an issue at any stage of the process. Cannot recommend enough!!

Was new to the area and heard good things about Main Street Tattoo but my expectations were blown away from the very first session.The staff is friendly and willing to help you tweak/adjust your designs as needed, also offering suggestions without violating the customer’s wishes.Prices are fair for the amount of effort and detail they put in to each design, they’ll even fit you with the best artist based on the design/color schemes.Shoutout to Alyssia and the rest of the crew for an amazing sleeve!

Lexx was amazing! She could see my vision and made it even better than I could have imagined. This was the best tattooing experience and I cant wait to come back and get another piece done. This place is awesome! The customer service is above average and they take their time to get to know their clients. It was my first tattoo and the artist was Thomas. I would highly recommend Thomas at the Mauldin location if its your first tattoo. I plan to return to him for my additional tattoos. The process wasnt too painful and I felt ZERO pain after I left. None whatsoever. I followed the instructions and the tattoo didnt even peel as expected. You definitely want to choose this place for your tattoo needs.

I have gotten 3 tattoos by Lindsey and they have all been great. When I go back for my next one it will definitely be with her. Main Street Tattoo Shop is the best tattoo place. Everyone is always nice and it’s a great environment.

Ashley Inks did an amazing job with my first tattoo! She was very kind, knowledgeable, and has a keen eye for detail. Her line work is truly amazing, I did not think anyone could get the details I wanted but she got everything down to the letter literally lol. I had very little to no pain what so ever during the 3 hour session. Ashley explained everything up front and took the time to line everything up perfectly. I am blown away with how great this pice turned out.The environment in their shop was very relaxed and welcoming to new clients. Everyone was kind and gave good information on what to expect on costs and procedures. If you are looking to get good quality work I would definitely recommend this shop!I do plan to get a matching tat in the future on my other leg. Lex is one of the BEST designers in the Upstate. I have her an idea and 3 elements I required in my half sleeve( I went in for a 4inch design)and MAGIC HAPPENED!!!Are seeing the part 1 of the 3 part design I was completely SOLD! 3 sessions and 18 hours later. I am in love. My first big design. No one else will tattoo me.All the staff at Main Street are welcoming and HILARIOUS.

Kya is an amazing artist!! She has done both of my hands (the latter of the two is pictured below). The shop is always clean as a whistle, the artists are all professional, and I always leave feeling like a million bucks!! Amazing work, Main St. Tattoo!!

I will never go to anyone other than Jessica Richards for tattoos. Shes repaired and recolored a couple of decades old tats for me and has done five more since then. She has customer designed one for me that is amazing, as well as designing ones for my son who gets one every time he comes to visit from New Hampshire. Now I have had both of my sons go to Jessica for incredible designs. Her original artwork is mind blowing and her attention to comfort and detail will surpass your expectations. The Shop has a great atmosphere that is clean, professional, and friendly. I recommend making an appointment so youre guaranteed the time you need.

I came in December 2019 and January 2020. Jessica was my tattoo artist. The facility is very clean and welcoming. They were aware it was my first tattoo and answered all my concerns and pumped me up when I got my first tattoo. I came back and had a very special tattoo I wanted done exactly like the mold I brought with me. I couldn’t be more impressed. This facility will always have my business. Came in 2023 for a tattoo of my dad who passed and Thomas was very professional and welcoming had talked most of the session making me feel more comfortable.

Took me 69 years to get my first tat! Great environment, very friendly, immaculately clean and I was comfortably numb 😎 !

My wife and I have both gotten a total of 5 tattoos done here. I have only gone through kya. Her line work and color work is amazing. Im going to be going here for many more tattoos. We got our first tattoos done here as well and the staff is very friendly and was more than happy to answer all my questions regarding pre tattoo and post tattoo care. Also Ive gotten a full color anime tattoo a blackout tattoo and linework.

I’m sure the tattoo would’ve been fine but my artist (Lexx) cancelled on me twice the day of my appointment. The first time she didn’t even bother to mention she wasn’t showing up until I had driven out to the shop - very cool

Went in for a consult. Artist was busy doing a tattoo while barely eyeballing mine. Left very disappointed to find out it would cost almost my rent check to get a memorial tattoo revived, and colored. Very pretty work. Head might be a little too inflated. So unless you make around $40/hr, you probably cant afford this shop

I had a great experience with this shop and Jessica(artist) from scheduling to finish. Communication was easy and detailed so I had no questions coming in for the appt. Jessica did a fantastic job and provided a quality experience. I will be returning in the future for more tattoos!

I’ve had three pieces done here now as well as accompanied a friend to get a piece done, and every time has been a pleasant experience. The tattoos I have from this shop are probably my three favorite and I get tons of compliments on them. Everyone is really respectful and the atmosphere is laid back. I’ll definitely be coming back for more tats in the future.

Me and my husband both came here for some simple line work of our dogs. LOVED our artist! She was patient, meticulous, and made us feel so comfortable. We love it and can’t wait to come back and add our new puppy to the tattoo!

Scheduling was easy and the process of getting my tattoo was great! My tattoo was done by Lexx and I am utterly obsessed. It was a tattoo to cover a surgical scar and Lexxs artwork gave me back so much confidence I had lost after surgery!

Ashley Ink did an incredible cover-up job on my old poorly done tattoo. She was kind and professional and worked with me to design exactly what I envisioned. 10/10 will patronize Main St again for my next piece.

I have been coming here for five years now and have not seen any better in the upstate. There is so much talent in each one of these artist. With variety of styles to choose from you can’t go wrong coming here. Fancy_Linzy is my artist and she never disappoints in giving me what I want and she has such a light touch.The staff are professional and the place is always clean.

Do not go here for a cover up. Im extremely disappointed and heartbroken with the results of what was supposed to be a cover up of a black and white fine-line tattoo, and am going to have to find a new artist to cover up a way bigger piece once it heals completely--no amount of layering of pinks and peaches is going to cover up my existing tattoo underneath. The part on the wrist underneath The Lovers was never even touched or attempted to be covered up. I asked for a colorful and vibrant piece and all I received was heavy handed blues that peeled off in sheets for days afterwards. It would have been a very nice piece somewhere else where it wasnt trying to cover up an existing tattoo, and I should have known better. Please save yourself the trouble if youre looking for a cover up.

I went here to get a tattoo and I truly don’t know why Lindsey is working in a profession that requires customer service skills. For some reason, she had an attitude from the beginning which caused me to walk out due to her unprofessionalism.

I got my first real tattoo there and HOLY, Zac is great, also if you’re looking to get color I’d recommend booking with him. He did an outline for me and did it in 30 minutes, I thought it would take way longer, but that dude is quick and good with his work. I will definitely be going back to start my half sleeve and get some finishing touches on my first one with him.

I have gotten two pieces from Zac so far with another scheduled soon. Awesome work and attention to detail, and always some great conversation while getting work done. Highly recommend both Zac and the studio!

Whoever the heavy set ze/zir rockstar is at the front desk oddly interrogated me about the meaning the tattoo I wanted before doing any work, I walked out immediately. After looking at her Instagram I’m glad I went elsewhere. Lindsey Hanniford do better 👎🏽

I walked in with a vague concept and sketch of what I wanted and Jessica used her creativity and skill to absolutely blow away my expectations. I came to Main St Tattoo in Mauldin looking for an artist to begin my half sleeve. They set me up with a consultation with Kevin Upton. He was incredibly kind and professional. My tattoo took him out of his comfort zone and he accepted the challenge. When my tattoo appointment came, he was very upfront with me. He told me that he felt like the tattoo was not as big as I would like, and he asked for more time so that he could redraw the tattoo into something I would love. Let me tell you, Kevin did NOT disappoint. I could not be happier with his work. He is so conscientious of your experience and does everything he can to make it a great one. Thank you, Kevin, for the amazing tattoo!

Have had Kevin Upton (IG @k.uptontattoos) do my last 4 and I will never go to anyone else. First one was out of the tattoo roulette gumball machine, second was a beautiful Sailor Jerry pin up, the third and fourth are completely one off custom designed American traditional pieces. He is professional, listened to what I was wanting and then made it better than I even knew was possible.

Good environment. Lindsey has done most of my tattoos and I will keep coming back to her. She’s welcoming and always has an open mind for ideas.

An amazing, sterile, clean shop. I came here on 10/05/19 to get my first tattoo. My artist was Lindsey, and she was fantastic. Overall, the place has a spectacular atmosphere, artwork is displayed all over the walls. They have stalls to which if you are getting tattooed somewhere that is a little more intimate, you will have some privacy. I would highly recommend coming here. The photo attached to my review is my tattoo right after it was finished. :)

First time getting a tattoo and this place was full of kindness and information. Thomas worked on mine and had a steady hand, good ideas and did an amazing job on my tattoo. Love the fact that they have some TVs there with Disney movies playing. Definitely has the best atmosphere. Recommend this place and will definitely be back soon for another one.

Its very nice, clean, and friendly shop. Theyre very accommodating but still best to call ahead to book either a consultation or an appointment. Parking is a bit of a hassle, theres a small lot behind them or you can try to fit in front of the building. But not much can be done about that right now. Looking forward to figuring out my next tattoo and bringing it to them to get it done.

Had a great experience from start to finish, Thomas was a great guy to do a long session with, he made sure that I got everything in my sleeve that I wanted included and took out what I didn’t. He is very light handed and made sure I was comfortable for both sessions!

I researched tattoo cover-up artists for over a year before deciding on which artist to use. I was willing to go anywhere in South Carolina. I chose Jason Burris at Main Street Tattoo for his incredible work. He did not disappoint. He took something disastrous & turned it into something really beautiful. Not only do I recommend him, I will be back.The atmosphere in the shop was very laid back & relaxed. You can tell the people there really enjoy their work. Everything was exceptionally clean, which is of utmost importance. Main Street Tattoo gets a 5 star rating from me. I wish I could give them a 10. After picture attached.

If quality work is what you are seeking then Main Street Tattoos in Mauldin is the place for you. I was privileged to have the talented artist Lucian Toro work on my arm. His style is like no other! His tattoo work is superb. His quality of work matches his pricing and his attention to detail is beyond what I ever anticipated. If a great tattoo is what you lookin for, then Lucian Toro is the artist for you.

Jessica is a talented artist using bold color with the cleanest lines Ive ever seen. She gave my mom her 1st tat at 65 yrs old and she said it was quick and painless and absolutely loves it. Every artist in the building is on point. No catalogs or tattoo copy books, they do original works of art that are one of a kind. Check em out.

If there were 10 stars I would give this place 10. I was a walk-in on Sunday morning. First tattoo in my life. I was greeted by Lee behind the front desk. She was friendly, professional, and efficient. Answered all my questions and walked me through the process. Zack was my tattoo artist and although mine was a simple design, he took time to educate me on the process, asking me questions, and making sure I was comfortable. Thank you for a great experience. I am certain Ill be back.

Got my first tattoo here when I had just turned 18, I came in on my birthday and everyone was so cool and happy for me. Just such an awesome vibe for a business!

At the start I had a great experience. The artist was awesome and the work she did do looks great. However I missed an appointment due to work and now they are refusing to schedule me another appointment to finish the tattoo even after I offered to pay for the missed appointment and pay ahead of time for the next appointment. I’m now left with a half finished sleeve and have to find a new artist to finish the work this shop started. Crazy. So beware, they have no problem leaving you with unfinished ink and won’t hesitate to leave you hanging.

I will absolutely be back for my next tattoo. Ashley is so talented and kind. She understood exactly what I wanted and executed it beautifully.

And the artist I go to, Zac Kinder is genuinely the only person I would let tattoo me at this point. Getting in touch with someone is challenging & then to only talk to some via txt & only for them to tell me they don’t know a quote after sending a photo of what I wanted & what I was getting covered? Whew! Not the customer service I thought I’d receive

I have gotten several tattoos here from Zac Kinder. I have always had an excellent experience and my tattoos look amazing, I get compliments on them all the time. The store is very clean and the staff friendly, they always make sure that I have water or soda and I leave satisfied. 10/10

My first experience here with Kevin was great. However, after he left I decided on a different artist for my second piece, Lindsey. I wanted a tattoo memorial for my dog that passed, and our consultation was fine. It was odd, though, not to receive an image of what it would look like the day of. Come time to get it, it was haphazard and looked like she took 5 minutes to draft it. After not being able to figure out a way to improve it, she simply got up and left without saying a word! Incredibly indecent behavior that was not warranted at all. Shall not be coming back.

This was my third tattoo, but first time at Main Street and it was my best experience yet! Setting up the appointment was a breeze over the phone. The moment we got there we were offered drinks and made very comfortable as we waited. Everything was super clean and tidy. Susan did both mine and my wifes and she was awesome. She was fun to talk to and an extremely talented artist. We were very happy with the results. If youre in the upstate and want a tattoo, go to here and ask for Susan!

Got my first tattoo done here and was fairly nervous. Jessica was amazing and made me feel at ease. She made sure I was comfortable and as relaxed as I could be before she started and to be honest I really didnt feel much of anything during the process. Very clean place and professional folks. Jessica answered all of my questions and made sure I was informed about aftercare and ensured me that she would be available for any questions that may arise during healing. I strongly recommend going to her especially if this is your first time. Her portfolio is amazing and Im in love with my piece. I walked out of the shop already planning my next tattoo!

The staff is very friendly & professional. We wanted to get small tattoos during a weekend stay in Greenville, we walked in & the receptionist told us they were booked for the day but put our name down on the cancelation list. She called us back within 30 minutes and said they had an opening. Lindsay did our tattoos quickly and they are so cute! I was recommended to check out Main Street Tattoo - specifically the Mauldin location.Ive been to dozens of tattoo shops throughout the united states. Ive quite a few pieces from different tattoo shops all over the united states California, DC, NY, etc, some work done in short a session and some with multiple long sessions.While attempting to discuss artist selection with the person behind the first divided counter - we dont have any artists books in the shop. All the work is online...While trying ask a suggestion for an artist to talk about an idea for an artistic custom lettering piece (after all tattoo is art isnt it?), I was interrupted again, Anyone can do lettering anywhere, just go onto [some suggested website] and pick out a font. Anyone can do lettering anywhere.So much for discussing collaboration. Remember, picking a tattoo artist isnt picking celebrity.I guess this is your shop customer service. This was the first tattoo shop to ever be rude to me. I was in store for less than 3 minutes.This happened tonight 8.24.2022 just before 7pm. The store sign on the front of the building is hours later than what google states.

I got three small tattoos in one session by Jessica a few weeks ago, and I love them each. The aftercare process has been faster than that with any of my other tattoos, and they only hurt for a couple of days or so. She was also very fast. Thank you!

Decided to go here for my first tattoo because it’s always highly recommended & had the best/most reviews around town. I got paired up with Susan and she did a beautiful job. She was comfortable to be around with a nice personality & made me feel more comfortable getting my first tattoo because I was super nervous. Highly recommend this place!! Especially for your first tattoo!

From the moment you walk in the door you are treated like family. Very pleasant, friendly, front desk and just a great atmosphere in general. The selection of artists is AMAZING. The only problem you will run into is deciding which one you will choose to give you an amazing piece of forever art. To me, Lindsey stood out. I could not be happier with my decision. She is very personable, made me feel SUPER comfortable. And most importantly my tattoo turned out greater than I ever could have expected. The end result far surpassed my expectations and I will never go elsewhere for tattoos again. She is also pretty light handed so would be great for a first timer as well. Overall great experience from start to finish with every employee involved.

I received a tattoo from Zac almost 5 years ago, and it’s still just as great as it was when I first got it! Beautiful colors and I still receive compliments on it. Very talented artist. Everyone was nice. Lindsey did my tattoo. She made sure I liked what she drew and was patient when I asked for changes. She was also very gentle and I was not tense at all like I am when I usually get tattoos other tattoo places. Reasonably priced. They also text you reminders of your appointment. I would definitely go again!

Zac did a big piece in my left leg that took about 11 hours. The tattoo is very detailed and colorful and Zac did an amazing job. It has been 2 1/2 years and it looks as good as it did on day one, and I get compliments all the time. I have recommended the shop to friends and family and they have all had good experiences. Great experience! The atmosphere was so welcoming and I never had any troubles with anyone here in the amount of times I have came here. I received multiple solid tattoos that im extremely happy with and the artists that did my tattoos did them exactly how I imagined them! I went there about a week ago and got my first tattoo. They set me up with jessica. Everyone was extremely nice. Jessica did my hip tattoo and not only was she so sweet the whole time and made sure i was comfortable, but she did an amazing job ! I’m absolutely in love, it came out exactly like the picture. And i have already had soo many compliments on it. I will definitely be back for my others and will be requesting Jessica each time !

I just had my tattoo done at Main Street Tattoo in Mauldin with Susan. She did an amazing job. I came in a couple of days in advance to go over my ideas so that she had time to draw up what I was thinking in my head. When I came in tonight she was very well prepared and open to my suggestion. I never had a tattoo before but I knew what I wanted. I had a picture but wanted to personalize it. I talked to Rex first after I saw the good reviews the place got. He was informative, and helpful and calmed my nerves. When I went to see him he told me Lindsey was going to be my artist and he couldnt have picked anyone better. She took my ideas and ran with them giving me exactly what I wanted. I feel awesome in my old age now! They are great at what they do and I would highly recommend them to anyone! Tattoo shop is super racist. I came up here with my GF to get a decent sized piece on her leg. The lady at the front desk had the upmost disgusting attitude and wouldn’t even let me see the tattoo artist “Zach” to see his availability. Zach did my first ever tattoo so I was willing to wait months for a opening, she dismissed us out the shop and told us everyone is booked for up to “years” don’t know how true this was however if you don’t like your job or if it’s too stressful get another one, if you can’t handle people of other ethnicity’s coming to the shop to inquire about appointments, get another job.

I highly recommend Main Street Tattoo for any size tattoo. This was my very first tattoo. The receptionist was very friendly over the phone and helped me understand the tattooing process. I was unaware that it is a good idea to schedule a consultation and then an appointment. But I was determined that day to get my tattoo. The receptionist made artist recommendations for my design and fit me in that very day. Glover was my artist. He was very understanding that I was nervous and fearful of pain. He eased my nerves and talked me through the process. He was very patient and held conversation well. My tattoo was small and simple but he was very accepting of my idea. The atmosphere of the shop overall was VERY welcoming and the parlor was extremely clean. My overall experience was amazing and I HIGHLY recommend Main Street Tattoo.

I did my research. Looked at hundreds of pics (because Ive had ENOUGH bad tattoos!) and even though I live in NC, I decided THIS was where I wanted my next tattoo done. My artist was Jason. a very pleasant, professional man (who was not at ALL slimey, like -in my experience- I have found the majority of male tattoo artists to be). I made an appointment for the next day. Drove almost three hours and IT WAS WORTH IT!!! Exceptional work, great conversation, zero pain, perfect professionalism. Gave me exactly what I wanted, didnt try to up-sell me anything.Myself and my husband will definitely be back!

The tattoo shop was extremely neat and clean. I didnt have an appointment, so I just walked in. The staff was very professional, polite, and helpful. They close at 10:00, and I got there around 8:30.James was my tattoo artist. This was my first tattoo. I told James exactly what I wanted, and where I wanted it. He showed me what I wanted to have done. I wanted some color added to my tattoo, James suggested that the tattoo should be a little bit bigger because I wanted some shading. I completely agreed with him.He just about doubled the size of my tattoo. Im very glad James did this because it wouldnt have looked as nearly as good otherwise. I filled out the paperwork, and James got started.My tattoo is on the inside of my right bicep. I didnt feel any pain, and James was finished in about 30 minutes. My tattoo looks great, and I will be returning to see James in the future.Overall, my experience was wonderful!

I spent nine hours getting my very first tattoo from Zac Kinder. Not only did he do an amazing job, but he also introduced me to the Evil Dead, which is super dope.Extremely professional shop with artists who are very direct and easy to understand, and on top of that, talented.Will absolutely be back for more.

I went in for a full sleeve to be finished/cover up 16 years after 2 artists have already bailed on me. I spent many sessions with Jason the owner and everything was going great. We got about 70%-80% done and Covid-19 hit. I completely understand the circumstances and was being patient waiting for things to calm down. Following this artist on Facebook I constantly saw pics of new pieces he was doing. I expected him to reach out to me to get on the schedule after the probably close to $1,500 I have spent with him on this piece. I reached out a few times and all I heard was Ill schedule you, never hearing back and still seeing new work he has done on Facebook I have decided that I will not go back to Main St and give him my business. Now after three artists and Id guess 24+ hours on his table I still have an incomplete tattoo. I will say the work is pretty good but not worth the headache and the money if its still gonna be unfinished! There are awesome artists in these shops and I would suggest picking them Id you go for Jason may just be to busy for you.

He sincerely apologized and promised it would not happen again. Moved to SC a year ago after leaving my tattoo artist with some work needed to be finished on my arm sleeve I found Main Street tattoo and meet Kevin. He worked with me to find the perfect fit to finish my arm the work was incredible so after the sleeve was done I went back to get my back done. And now working on my leg. This weekend I got my first tattoo, and wanting it on my ribs, I was nervous to say the least. Chris Glover did my tattoo and was so wonderful about everything. He sketched out my tattoo idea and made it clear when I was trying to tell him what I wanted that he was there to make me happy with my tattoo. He talked me through the whole process, and the place is great about making sure you physically see that theyre using sterile and new equipment each time, which put my mind at ease about it. He chatted with my friend and I during the tattooing and as silly as that seems, it calmed my nerves incredibly to see how calm and friendly he was. I had been to a couple of tattoo studios in Charleston for quotes and it was blatantly obvious that they couldnt care less if I was there or not. Chris seemed genuinely interested in having a conversation with my friend and I and it just goes to show how lovely and talented the people at Main Street Tattoo are. My tattoo turned out amazing and I couldnt be happier that I chose this place to go to.

So I went in for my first tattoo, was scared to death and nervous, being the horror stories people tell I was afraid it was going to be very painful. Lindsey checked me in, explained the process and was awesome. Between her and the guys in there, cutting up and joking with me, it eased my fears. No pain at all, a little discomfort was all I felt. Zero Stars. Have attempted several times by in store visit, text, voicemail & email, toaddress my concerns that tattoo was done incorrectly. Afterer removing saniderm the discovery of INK BLED OUT& NOT BRUISING. A picture was taken along with my contact info but never did hear back from artist or owner! Poor quality& customer services regarding tattoo & follow up!UPDATED:Although there was a delay in communications, I am critiquing my review with a 5 🌟. Concerns and accommodations were addressed by both artist and owner. The ability and willingness to listen and offer an unbiased opinion was satisfactory.**An artists and clients world **might not always mesh but in the end,the results should be a concerted agreement before services rendered.

Between my husband and I we have had 3 tattoos done by Jason. His artistic gift is beyond description. He transformed a photo of a flower into a piece of art on my leg. He did a cover up on my husband that is truly amazing. Saying that I would highly recommend Jason to anyone seeking a tattoo is an understatement!!! I walked in, talked to the visiting artist and had the best tattoo experience ever! We laughed and joked, and the tattoo is just gorgeous. Im getting so many compliments on it. Thank you, guys!! Will definitely be back.

After researching tattoo parlors on the web and reading reviews of shops and artists around the S.E. I chose Main Street Tattoo in Mauldin, S.C. for my first tattoo I had inked a few months ago. I chose Thomas James as my artist and will be going back to him for my third tattoo this week! I travel a lot and have looked at other shops in different states including Mexico etc.... and have not found any others than I am more impressed with than Main Street Tattoo. First Class, Super Nice Staff, thrilled with Thomass work so there is no need to go anywhere else! Love this place!

Ive been in many tattoo shops (with my wife), this shop is by far the cleanest , fun atmosphere, friendly and customer service orinainted shop. A quality which seems to be lacking in many other shops in this area. Dont change a thing. Zac did great work covering up my wifes wrist peice today. I had a bad tattoo that needed covering. Ms.Lindsey covered it very professional . Very satisfied. Then I had a bad tattoo of the head of Jesus. It looked like a cartoon - then Ms. Lindsey re- did it , it now look so real OMG. She is an outstanding artist. Amazing work. Happy , Happy , Happy.

Went there monday (3/5/18) got Appointment Saturday for my half sleeve. The staff was very nice and also got my first tattoo that day. Amazing artists and amazing staff will be coming back .
