Walked in to see Raven after looking at her Instagram profile and Im glad I chose Raven to do my tattoo! I love everything about it from the detail, line work and shading. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process as well and I would definitely recommend coming here to anyone! Shop was super clean and everyone was super friendly as well!

Got an older tattoo redone and added a full background. Pat was excellent throughout the entire process. He took my idea and ran with it, making the whole experience awesome. Pat is super easy to work with and very knowledgeable to help get you the best product possible. Would definitely recommend them to everyone and will be back for other tattoo work.

I stopped in for my first tattoo. Chris P nailed my vision of a nautical fish hook on his first stencil. The tattoo was painless and Chris was awesome. The place was clean, neat, and the artists were in good moods and friendly. I’m already planning my next tattoo.

This place was great. I needed something specific done, it was done exactly to my specifications. Raven was very professional and she gave me the exact tattoo according to my specific wishes. It was done fast and that also helped. Lots of tattoo shop take weeks to call back, draw up, and schedule. Friendly, professional, timely, clean. This is the spot.

Earlier this week I had Erik do my forearm, my newborns footprint with her birthday and he was super quick, very professional, and exceeded my expectations. Always a good experience

While visiting my mother in law, my girlfriend wanted an American traditional piece. We walked in and when she asked which artist had the most experience with that style, the response we got was I have no idea what youre talking about and were encouraged to go somewhere else. I grew up in tattoo shops, Ive been to countless conventions with my home shop, I have almost 100 hours of work on me so I know how shops work and Im not sensitive to the way artists sometimes talk and act. The fact that anyone in any shop anywhere would not know what American traditional is, is mind blowing to me. Its one of the foundational styles of tattooing in this country. Even further, to suggest we didnt know what we were talking about and that we should just go to a different shop instead is also mind blowing. Im not giving 1 star because Im not judging the work, for all i know its very good, I just didnt have a very good experience when I was there.

Pete P. did a tat for me in honor of my Dad. I gave him my idea and he ran with it and I couldnt be happier. Lines are super clean and Pete is a great guy. Eric also did one for me for my kids. I showed him my idea and he brought it to life. Couldnt ask for nicer guys. Clean shop, great atmosphere. I recommend to everyone who asks.

I wish I could give zero stars because I just had the WORST experience at Neptune Tattooville. I have previously been here before and have gotten 2 out of the several tattoos I have done here, and absolutely love them. So when my husband and I walked in I was ready to have the same great experience, however, this was not the case. After telling the guy who greeted us when we walked in what I was looking for I was immediately put off. I was looking to get my son’s initials on my hand. He first told me he would not recommend that spot because of healing and sustainability, which I appreciated the honesty and expertise, however still wanted to do it. He then came back and told me they would not tattoo my hand because I am not heavily tatted, which was interesting to me since I had on jeans and a jacket, how he would know how heavily tatted I truly am. Then sarcastically he said because I didn’t have a neck tattoo they would not do it, and finally just said it was against store policy. If this was the case this should have been said right from the beginning, and there would have been no problem, and if it is the case, whoever we dealt with needs to learn to communicate with customers with respect. Safe to say after that conversation my husband did not want to get his tattoo done there, and we left. I will no longer recommend anyone to Tattooville.Also, I NEVER write reviews, good or bad, but because of how horrendous this experience was I made an exception.

I’ve been getting tattooed here for a while now but recently have gotten a bunch of work from Pete. Each piece has been incredible, they heal super vibrant (including one from 2016), and he makes the process quick and seamless. Couldn’t recommend this shop more!

Awesome experience at Neptune Tattooville. While on vacation I went to get some work done by my sisters artist Damion. I told him exactly what I wanted and he hit the nail right on the head. Damion was incredibly nice. During the session when I became light headed due to my negligence of not eating or getting fluids in me before getting work done, he stopped we took a break he then offered me a snack to get my levels back up and we finished the peice. Damion has amazing line work, use of color and his traditional style is impeccable when compared to most. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for quality work and a wonderful experience.

My cousin and I walked in to get our first tattoos together. Pete worked with me and did a great phoenix piece on my calve, he was very kind and and funny and helped keep me at ease throughout the process. all the staff members I met were super laid back and patient with my cousin and Is indecisiveness of what we both wanted. and from what I looked at, the prices for flash tattoos were shockingly affordable. Ill definitely be going back next time Im in jersey.

Had 3 amazing experiences by Erik -one large piece and two small. His work is phenomenal and his focus on details have made each one of my tattoos look great. Ive brought a friend to get a tattoo by him as well and she was very happy with his work. Highly recommend and worth every penny.

Be aware, any deposit you leave, you may not get back. Reimbursement for deposit was not properly explained and they refused to give me back my money even after ample notice of appointment cancellation. This policy is not posted anywhere in the shop.

This review never posted prior. Came here specifically because it had good reviews. Ill never come back. I dont know if they still have the same piercer here, but I went here for my birthday and got 3 piericings, one of which was a nose piercing. He pierced me with a hoop/ring. I called to ask about it, since its apparently a obvious no-no among piercers to put a hoop in as initial jewler. Found this out when I looked it up and went to another shop because I was having unusual pain and irritation. The other shop told me this and took out the ring, replacing it with a high quality stud, since my nose piercing got infected and painful when it had a hoop in even though I was taking care of it as instructed. Once a stud was in, the uncomfortable symptoms cleared up and I had no issues of reinfection. Likely because it didnt move around as much, like a hoop does and can heal much better. I have returned to the other shop for other piercings instead since and they were great. I called this location to ask about the jewelry and spoke to a woman named Christine/Christina who was SO RUDE when I was just asking a question nicely and seeking advice. Had she not acted like an @$$hole and realized that maybe her employees are capable of messing up, I wouldve returned for them to remedy it and switch it out to a stud. This lady acted like my concern was a direct insult to her intelligence and to her business practice, when it was nothing personal. She wasnt the one who had an infected nose piercing anyway. She didnt ask me to come in (which makes way for a repeat customer...duh. guess they dont need it) ask questions or offer any resolution. No customer service skills, super unprofessional. Ill never go here again.

My husband and I got tattoos here by Bryan. He did a great job and was honest about what was going to look good without coming off as rude. This is the first time we both found a tattoo artist we both like. Those people looking for something that isnt the traditional American style, dont be scared off because my tattoos are not that style and he did an EXCELLENT job! My husband even returned to see Bryan for a memorial piece for his military working dog, and is planning on visiting again when he is home on leave in August. The shop itself is clean and well decorated. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming. My ONLY complaint would be for more comfortable seating in the waiting area, but that is being picky its a tattoo shop not a movie theater.

I just got my first tattoo ever this past weekend. I have been wanting to get this small script on my forearm for the past 5 years and couldn’t seem to get it together and just do it. So last weekend I got in the car and drove to Tattoville. My sister has gotten a bunch of work done here so I already knew the quality of their work. Brent talked me through the entire process. He was so patient and calm I almost forgot about the fact that he was actually tattooing me. One thing I really liked about him that stood out was that he told me not to go too small or too close together with the script. I wanted it to look exactly like the photo of the tattoo on this girls arm. He told me within a few years you won’t be able to read her R and L because they were right on top of eachother. So I really respected the fact that he was honest and was thinking about my tattoo long term. Looking at the tattoo I wanted next to my own, it looks pretty spot on! I honestly can’t see any differences except for that my 2 letters were spaced out just a little because of what he said. Thank you Brent, for all your patience, honesty and the dedication you put in to my first tattoo.

My mom and I got matching tattoos the other week (my moms first tattoo and my second) and we had a great experience! The tattoo artist, Pete, not only modified the design we brought him to make it more personal but was also very lovely to chat to and put us at ease! We are both very pleased with our tattoos and we recommend him highly!

Was visiting a friend in Jersey who has gotten two tattoos done by Lil Chris. Both of her pieces looked great so I trusted it. I got a small cross on my wrist- which is a pretty simple tattoo. When I unwrapped it I was immediately unhappy with it, sloppy work. Some pieces of the cross were crooked and thicker than the other pieces. I went back and he was EXTREMELY rude and nasty to me. First he told me Id have to wait at least 40 minutes to get it fixed. My friend and I left, cus we couldnt wait. He came downstairs from the shop and told me that he never told me Id have to wait, that hed take me right away... okay. Go back in and nicely apologized and explained that Im probably being picky but its going to be on my body FOREVER. He pretty much slammed my arm on the table, told me I was being picky and was extremely nasty the whole time he touched up the tattoo HE MESSED UP. This isnt my first tattoo, and I waited until the tattoo was completely healed before writing a review on him. I never write reviews but I had to say something because this guy was a total jerk. I will have to go to another artist to fix it. I will NEVER go back to this place again, my friend got a tattoo there at the same time. The other artists seem like they do good work.. Not Lil Chris best work & his attitude sucks.To respond to the owner who replied- I was aware he was in the middle of a client but I was unable to wait. He first told me I had to wait 40 minutes, and then changed the story when he got me and told me he told me he would take me right away- I apologized for the misunderstanding. I dont deny that he tried to correct the mistakes he made in the tattoo- my issue was with his general attitude towards me. I know he does great work, hes tattooed my friend twice and his pieces on her are great. I agree we did not click but I thought Id shared my experience & I still stand by it wasnt his best work. Amazing! The staff is laid back and so welcoming. Recently Pete covered up some heavy handed mountains I got three years ago in Colorado, and turned it into this beautiful rose. I recommend this shop to everyone!

Damion is the best!! I send everyone his way when they ask about my tattoos. He’s done my arm sleeves, neck, legs and stomach. Only trust him!

Based off reviews on here and recommendations from friends, I decided to go to Tattooville for one of the artists to try and clean up some shotty work done in the past, a half sleeve to be exact. I was able to get a walk-in with Chuck (only because he had a cancellation), and Im glad I did. He was polite and had some really good ideas on how to fix up my arm. It took 2 sessions about 2 hours each and he got a ton of work done and performed it above my expectations. His lines are clean and his shading really brought out the images even though my tattoo is only black and grey. Ill be recommending him and using him for my future tattoos. Thanks Chuck!

I have been getting tattooed at Tattooville for almost 5 years now. I recently moved around the country and visited a lot of shops. None of them really compared to Tattooville as far as the professionalism, friendliness, good vibes, and overall welcome to their shop. The shop is full of some of the most talented guys in New Jersey, and all of them have their own style which provides a broad range of tattooing to suit almost anyone. The shop is kept extremely clean, and all work areas are very sanitary. I recommend this shop to everyone, you can not go wrong with any artist in this establishment.Thank you guys, for all the good times, and great tattoos over the years. It truly is appreciated.

Their work speaks for itself. I have gotten numerous tattoos at Neptune and have never been disappointed. To make things even better the artists that work here are all great guys that take pride in their art and customer satisfaction. Ive encountered plenty of jaded and arrogant members of the tattoo industry that dont produce tattoos half as good as these guys. People consistently ask me where I got my tattoos and I think that says a lot about the quality work that is done here. The fact that the artists are nice guys is just the icing on the cake.

Went there today so my husband and I can get tattoos. Not complicated just outline tats, mine very small flower on my wrist. The guy out front was so rude and nasty. My husband decided right away on the edits he suggested while I wasnt sure because he said they couldnt do it the size I originally wanted. 3 people walked in after us all Getting large expensive ones. I finally decided ok Ill go with the size he suggested. All nasty and making a rude face at me he tells me now Ill have to wait hours after these 3 other people for this 10 minute tattoo. My husbands tattoo took 15 minutes. Mine wouldnt have even been 10 minutes. He never said another word to us. So very rude. My husband got his tattoo which was done very nice btw and we left and will not return. Very bad customer service.

Very rude and unprofessional. Tried to upsell me based on my lack of tattoo knowledge. Will never recommend this place.From the owner himself... champagne taste, beer wallet like I said, VERY unprofessional. Money is not an issue what so ever, especially with tattoos being lifetime investments. However being in sales myself, I find it very strange how an artist can go from $150 to $80 after I start to walk out. Not to mention with the tattoo being only 2 small words no bigger than roughly the size of a stick of gum. RidiculousSpeak to your employees, pitiful. You should be ashamed

Pat Dean has done all of my tattoos, and it is A+ work. The rest of the shop/staff is/are clean, professional, and above all patient. They will bend over backwards to make sure the tattoo is right for you, and I have only ever been thoroughly satisfied.

Tattooville is AWESOME!! Damion hooked me up and everyone else there is just as good!!! Very professional, clean and chill enviroment. They have done 6 of my tattoos and i wont go anywhere else!

Group of extremely talented, great guys. I’ve received countless tattoos from this place and will continue coming here until I run out of room. The hospitality of the staff and quality of work is unmatched anywhere else.

UPDATE: 10/19/18 The darker brown tattoo was Eriks work. The pic with the quarter is what I asked for. The lighter picture is an additional $50 later, which took longer than the original, as all lines were straightened, and white and gray were used (the colors I wanted in original pic) Tried to fix the area where the feathers were blended together and bottom feather looks detached. I never said Erik was not a nice person, but He was RUDE to me. I was just stating the facts of my experience. Entitled? I did not feel entitled, but after my second trip for this little tattoo, with a 2 hr scheduled appt. starting at 4pm, I did not expect to rush through everything in the last hour as employees were waiting to close up shop. Actually it was a 40 minutes spent with me out of the two hours. Whats sad is ... it is not what I wanted. It is still dark, and it can not be fixed. You turned around and blamed me for the bad experience? Lol That says a lot. I am sure Erik has had happy customers, but unfortunately, I am not one of them. I wish I could say differently. You see, it is MY arm.I have had quite a bit of work done in the past and decided to get my first tattoo in an area that is showing. My wrist. I chose Erik by viewing work he had done on the website. I called and asked if I can walk-in and I was advised he had a two hour appointment that is scheduled until 4 and he could probably do my tattoo then. I arrived and waited and was then told to come back the following week. He said he was doing an entire sleeve . So I scheduled a two-hour appointment the following week. When I returned I waited over an hour. Until 5:15...My appointment was from 4 to 6. Erik sketched the tattoo in 15 minutes while I waited in the lobby. It was not like the picture I gave him. With a pen he quickly drew in what was missing. I asked for no color and what was supposed to be angel wings look like dark bird wings. Where he put the nicks in the feathers randomly with the pen, last minute... the feathers look detached. Some look like swords. His hand was shaky and he had to go over the lines and this caused them to be a little thicker than they should be for a small tattoo. The shading has no Rhyme or Reason. I asked a coworker who has many tattoos for her thoughts and she told me it was not a good tattoo. Its not like the picture I showed him, but like pics I showed him what I dont want. The darkness and too much dark outline. There was another small tattoo I was supposed to get but I was asked to come back for a third time. He basically did my tattoo in a half an hour to forty minutes and they were closing the shop. I was charged $120 plus $8 tax and I actually tipped him $20 Erik told me that he would do both tattoos and if he had to he could stay a little later after closing.. but instead I was asked to make a third appointment. I drove 45 minutes each way for this small tattoo that was very expensive. I got my deposit back the following week .....another hour and a half of driving! (right after i had my second tattoo done by someone else) and when I told Erik how I felt about having to wait and feeling rushed he told me sarcastically maybe I should find somebody that works at my speed! Really? I literally just had my upper arm done a week after leaving my second visit to Tattooville . That man was spent three hours total going over drawings and his ideas. The new tattoo cost $120 and was a lot more work. I CAN NOT speak for the other artists there or past, but there are artists out there that care about the permanent art that they put on people. I had to pay more $$ to fix the tattoo. At least what could be done. I now found a tattoo artist and shop in Edison 5 minutes from my home. And Im going back for more work.

I jut got my third tattoo in Neptune this past sunday. first 2 times were by Pat......amazing tattoos and amazing experience. this time was by little Chris. Again, amazing tattoo and amazing experience. Chris is the man! professional, funny, and so talented. Place is top notch.

Be wary of the good reviews theyre 2+ years old. Theyve hired some not so good artists, not going to name anyone, just research their website before you go and make sure they do good work, good tattoos arent cheap and cheap tattoos arent good. Ill take my patronage where I trust every artist.

I had my 3rd tattoo with Zack today and as usual he killed it. The guys are great and make you feel at home. Awesome atmosphere, look forward to my next one!😉

Discriminated if you couldnt wear a mask for medical reason they said no service if no mask.Well myb u should read the cdc guidelines again or days unless medically cant. So then it becomes discrimination. Never said the world revolved around me thats for anyone who cant tolerate A mask.

I got a tattoo with a guy there name mike very friendly and nice but his tattoo Spread out of the ink and now it looks like a big purple mark in my arm and not to said nothing it was very itchy , he shouldn’t be working there .
