My experience here was one of the best I have ever had! Dylan was so great to work with- he had a really light hand! Barely even felt it! He also did not seem irritated or bothered by changes I made to my tattoo, as some artists have been. I will definitely be coming back here :)

Anthony Z is an amazing artist! He takes the time to listen to what you want and will put his own spin on the tattoo. Im constantly amazed by his artistic ability and his professionalism. I will absolutely be back for another tattoo. Im so in love with my newest piece he did and have gotten so many compliments on it already. Ive been going to Anthony for 4 years now and gotten multiple tattoos from him and wouldnt trust anyone else to do my ink!

Me and a few girlfriends of mine decided on on getting a tattoo this memorial day weekend on our girls trip! Came up on this awesome place! Dorian offered to see 4 of us early before they opened! From the second we stepped foot in the parlor I loved the vibe, and the atmosphere! Dorian did an amazing job on our tattoos, he was fun to talk to, and all of the other artists made us feel beyond welcome! We for sure will be going back! #clams

Absolutely awesome shop. Prices are pretty good. Very helpful staff that explained everything very well, great music, and good accommodations for customers. Cant wait to go back again and finish my full sleeve.

Love, I came in to do a cover up on a stick and poke gone wrong, this was my first real tattoo and Kyle made sure to make me feel as comfortable as I could be throughout the whole session, he took his time to ensure the tattoo was perfect and i couldnt be more in love with the results. Emily Woodard @ art of war is AMAZING!!! i got to the studio checked in within 5 minutes she was there consulting w. me on the pieces i was wanting! freaking amazing at putting together what i wanted, i was there from 4-9 and she was so careful and made sure the stencil was placed perfectly and i was in love w. it! she has the lightest touch and is freaking hilarious, i didnt feel awkward or antisocial at all! after both tattoos were done she explained after care to me and said if i had any questions after that i could text her anytime! we love her art so much my hubs is going back in december to get a chest piece done! i HIGHLY recommend emily yall BOOK WITH HER!!

Ripped off. Paid in full, but still got charged for extra sessions. 3rd session consisted of stabbing and scarring my skin. No ink was applied, just created a session to over charge. After taking a break they come back unfocused on tattoo and sleepy. Expected this kind of service in back of someones garage or jail. Photo after 3 sessions and still no uv ink which I requested.

The service and friendly staff is exceptional. Each artist does great work and are really helpful in educating you on your tattoo and placement. My daughter and I purchased a tattoo from Gypsy at Art of War 2 and he went above and beyond what we expected. Thanks to Gypsy and all the staff for making this a great experience for my daughter and i, Definitely recommend for your future tattoo needs.

I recently had been wanting my first tattoo so I did some research on the places in New Braunfels to get it done. I found Art of War and read a lot of good reviews on Anthony so i decided to make an appointment with him. I am super happy with the results! He was very caring, friendly and didnt make me feel uncomfortable in any way! He drew up what I wanted and helped me decide a good area to put it in since I tend to be indecisive and couldnt figure out what part of my thigh I should put it on lol. Plus the shop itself is very cute and comfortable! He definitely made me excited to get my next tattoo, I will be going back to him soon to add onto my thigh!

Emily at Art of War 2 is a freaking magician. Her work is so amazing yet it keeps getting better and better! I’ve sat with her for over 20 hours, and she couldn’t be more professional and sweet. Her creativity blows my miiiind!

Anthony does a great job with his work! Finally done with another half sleeve and he absolutely killed it. I have been all over the world getting ink so please trust me when I say, Art Of War 2 is a great place! If you’re looking for a nice clean shop with a lot of options, look no more. We had a great experience with Duchess. I’m older and I brought my daughter along to help me navigate, however Duchess was there to me at ease. She was helpful and creative. Both my tattoos are more than what I thought I wanted. I’m very happy - I’m not a frequent tattoo person and may not get anymore but I would highly recommend her.

Honestly had a great time getting our tattoo at this studio; however the result isn’t my favorite. The artist assured us that his work speaks for itself when asked if he could accomplish a fine line tattoo. No shading; just an outline that needed to be traced. I thought it was my skin that was raised making the tattoo seem a bit uneven, but now it is healed and still crooked. The lines are crooked, varying thickness along the same line, jagged, all around not the best.

Dylan was super rad! Really kind and communicative. I got a shoulder tattoo done by him and he was really informative about the level of pain before hand, as well as care afterwards. Super rad guy! Highly recommend!!

Anthony, man. Where to even start. After 10 years of dreaming of getting a tattoo, three years of knowing exactly what I wanted, I pulled the trigger and chose Anthony. And I made the BEST decision! He took time out of his busy schedule to consult with me before setting an actual appointment up so I could feel more comfortable. I came back two days later and from start to finish head such a relaxing experience. He’s funny, down to earth and just so talented. His calmness throughout the whole experience made me feel so much better. I’ve found my permanent tattoo artist/shop!!!

I have many tattoos and have been to several shops so I can speak from a place of experience. This studio is clean and I mean SPOTLESS. The staff was welcoming and polite. Emily was professional, personable, and straightforward about what would look good and age well over the years. I felt extremely comfortable giving her full creative license with a few tweaks here and there. She communicated quickly and effectively and really took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and knocked it out of the park. She only uses the highest quality products/inks and you can tell she takes pride in what she does. She is extremely talented and I will be scheduling many more tattoos with her.

Got my Dad a tattoo for Christmas. We had a family sigil done down the spine. Emily was very kind and had a wonderful demeanor. You could tell she cared about her craft based on how careful she was to get it right and check with us what we thought. She did a perfect line down the back with bold black. The scheduling was great, they got me us in there ASAP. Great people, fantastic work.

Emily is a phenomenal artist! She has tattooed me several times and she never disappoints. She is so helpful with aftercare as well. She always tells me exactly what I need to do to keep my new tattoo clean and vibrant! I will me getting more done my Emily, for sure!!

Love this place. Very hygienic and welcoming. Emily does the sickest customs and Im very happy with my sleeve. Her neo-traditional is out of this world and the color pops like none other. She will be getting slot of the space on my body. Highly recommend this shop and Emily if shes not booked too far out for you!

My Sister and I lost our mom this past May. We went to Emily to get our Memorial tattoos done. Emily is an amazing artist. She captured exactly what we wanted and also had wonderful ideas to make our vision even better. Not only was the facilities spotless..they are friendly and the shop vibe was fun. I will most definitely be going back for more work.

I called this shop asking if any artist were available, they said Kyle had a cancellation and could do a consult for me. Went in talked with him, showed him what I wanted and shortly after he got started. Did a fantastic job with my first lower arm piece! Kyle again you did a fantastic job my friend and I will definitely be coming back.

The place was very well kept and maintained. Not only did I have a great experience, the staff was very friendly and funny. I had no reservations about a bad experience with these people as soon as I walk through the door. Emily was my artist and in the end did not disappoint on the tattoo that I had been wanting for a while. It came out exactly the way I envisioned it and I do recommend going to her for your tattoo needs. All in all this is a great place for anyone to get a tattoo and I highly recommend it.

I get all of my tattoo work done here and it’s always excellent. Clean environment, welcoming atmosphere, and a lot of talented artists available. Definitely the top spot in New Braunfels!

Went in a and talked with Kyle about a tattoo idea I wanted for my daughter. He scheduled and when I went in for my tattoo he created a beautiful meaning strong piece. He is truly an amazing artist, pays attention to detail, and truly takes pride in his work. Strongly recommend seeing Kyle for any tattoo needs. Yes there are 2 other artist that were working and believe this shop has artist to fit anyone’s needs. I will be booking again for more work.

As its my first tattoo, my tattoo vocabulary is limited. But this place is amazing. Kyle Kranz was my artist and he blew me away. I gave him a very structured design with not a lot of stuff to work with. He took a few days and went above and beyond, blending in all the things I talked to him about. The detail -the line work, the shading, the coloring - is incredible. He talked to me about the process, checked in with how I was handling everything, and made sure that I knew exactly how to take care of his artwork. The artistry is impressive to say the least. Highly recommend.

My artist was Emily, and she was very helpful in figuring out exactly what I wanted and what could be done with my idea. I came in with an idea and left with a concrete vision of what I wanted. Shes great with color. We did it in two sessions as it is a larger tattoo. I love the color and would happily go back to her. They charge roughly $100 per hour, which is not a bad rate.

Why travel to San Antonio or Austin? We have serious local talent right here in New Braunfels. This is my seventh tattoo, and by far the best. I have had them done from Los Angeles to Virginia. Anthony is a very talented tattoo artist. He was able to take a picture of a color painting and turn it into a portrait black and gray realism tattoo with color infusion. Anthony caps off an awesome tattoo with detailing and accenting where needed to make it pop and shine. His talents far exceed any artist I have dealt with in the past. His customer service and professionalism are unwavering. He used a Lidocaine topical to make the session more comfortable. When the session was over he provided clear instructions and gave a take home bag with anti-bacterial soap and lotion. I am very pleased and will go back to him for future work. I strongly recommend you book an appointment with him.

Got my first tattoo here either Emily, she was great with communicating and fast with getting exactly what i wanted. i showed up early to my appointment and she even got me in earlier. great person, great artist, 1863/10 would highly recommend.

About a week ago, I designed my first tattoo in memory of my childhood dog who had just passed. Kyle took my design, cleaned it up and made it tattooable for me. He took his time, and made my first experience so memorable. I’m in love with my tattoo and will definitely go back for more.

Had an appointment with Anthony. Wanted to get the creation of adam done on my forearm. He put his own creativeness into the design and did an absolutely amazing job. Would absolutely recommend to anyone new or experienced to getting tattoos.

Tora actually corrected an old tattoo of a Longhorn. Perfected the color and the outline. I would recommend them to anyone that is seeking perfection. Thank you guys.
