Been going here since around 2017, and I have had an EXCELLENT experience every time. They have a friendly, talented, and knowledgeable staff, and they really feel like a pillar of the community.I’ve been to many shops in this area and beyond, and this is by far my favorite. You won’t be disappointed by the experience or the finished product. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I cant say enough good things about American Anchor Tattoo and Steve. I had a very sentimental piece done on my arm and Steve absolutely knocked it out of the park. I seriously couldnt be any happier.The shop was clean, and both Pat and Steve are super cool dudes that are easy to talk with. Ill be back for sure.

American Anchor Tattoo is by far the best tattoo shop I have ever been in. I am currently13 years active duty military and have been tattooed all over the country. Oklahoma, Texas, NJ and more. This is by far the friendliest, cleanest shop I have ever been in. Not only that, but they have done the best work off all of my tattoos. Steve was my artist and is so incredibly talented at what he does. I asked for a Japanese wave theme filler for my sleeve. This man free handed it, and it was perfect and exactly what I wanted. Steve does not have a heavy hand and the tattoo was even all the way around. Both Steve and Pat take the time to ensure both their areas are clean, and post tattoo care is taken and explained to everyone. My tattoo was priced extremely well. This shop will be open and honest with you about pricing. I enjoy a shop with not a lot of people around always peering over my artist shoulder and this is what you get at American Anchor Tattoo. It was just Steve and I talking for a few hours while getting my tattoo done. He took a great interest in what we talked about and is an amazing person who is extremely talented. A few people did pop into the shop when I was getting my work done and Steve greeted every single person in a very friendly manner. I can not recommend this shop enough. Everyone I work with loves the quality of work that was done on me. I constantly get complements on how great my tattoo looks. If you’re considering getting at tattoo in the central PA Area, you are doing yourself a disservice by not calling American Anchor Tattoo and inquiring about what you’d like to get done. I can guarantee that if you get tattooed here, YOU WILL LOVE IT.

Steve does amazing work and does it at a fair price. Easy to talk to and bounce ideas off of. Great overall experience.

My bf got a portrait done, amazing work!! Steve was awesome, polite and kept making sure everything was okay or if breaks were needed. Took time to discuss expectations and wants for the tat. Shop super clean, nice environment! Prices are very reasonable- will be back for more!

Steve is awesome. He takes him time on projects of all sizes to make sure he gets it exactly right. He is also very personable and makes his clients feel comfortable and welcome through the whole process.

I cannot speak highly enough of or tell everyone who asks where Ive had my work done about American Anchor Tattoo! Steve is my Go-to Guy but both he and Pat are Amazing Artists. They take time to understand what youre looking to get done and work with you to get it right. I am always so happy and blown away with the results! The shop is very cool with a relaxing vibe. Steve is amazing. Professional, friendly, and talented. I am having a decent sized piece on my calf and could not be happier with the work. We made a few tweaks when I got there. He is really easy to talk to and explain what I wanted. He also uses his own experience to help guide you so you can end up with the best tattoo possible.As I sat there getting tattooed yesterday a few people walked in and out. Steve was super nice to everybody and it really makes it a nice experience. Other shops I have been in are a little standoffish or not welcoming but this shop is great for anybody.I could not be happier with my tattoo so far and cant wait to finish it up at the end of the month. I would refer anyone to check this place out. Two thumbs up!

Pat and Steve are Great Artists first and foremost. Pat has just finished his second piece on me a full back commemorating the Friends Ive lost in combat. He did an amazing job. I had my first tattoo done and Steve was amazing.When he first greeted me he asked me how I was doing and I told him I was nervous. From that moment on, I felt like I was treated like a friend, he was easy to talk to, kept encouraging me to make changes to make sure that I was 100% comfortable with the tattoo and location and then told me what to expect for after care.The tattoo exceeded my expectations.

This was the absolute worse experience in my life. I asked if they could darken a tattoo and they told me I gave them bad vibes. They told me multiple times in front of people I had bad vibes, not sure the hostility. That made me extremely uncomfortable and they also asked me to cancel my appoint and said perfect absolutely pathetic and will 0/10 recommend to anyone! It is disgusting to speak down on someone in front of others and then ask me to cancel my appointment. If I could have recorded this experience and shared it, I would have.

I had been copiously searching for a new tattoo spot to get coverup work done on my stomach. Thankfully I found Pat at American Anchor Tattoo who listened carefully to what I wanted and did out an outstanding job! It’s perfect and I couldn’t be happier with the quality of the tattoo or the professional and friendly service I received! I know I will be returning here for my next tattoo project! Pat is an excellent artist. Pat did two of my tattoos: cherry blossoms with dragons and my peacock. Steve and Pat run an excellent shop, with amazing skills and customer service.
