Got my first tattoo by brandon. very nice & welcoming. made the whole experience easy. the design he did is better than anything i could’ve imagined & when doing the tattoo his attention to detail was amazing. 10/10 experience will come again.

I got my 2nd tattoo with Brandon and it was the most amazing time! I was hesitant to get this done since people usually say rib tattoos hurt a lot, but with Brandon’s light hand I barely felt a thing. He was so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable! Will definitely be booking again with Brandon for my 3rd!

I recently got tattooed by one of the artists, Brandon who was absolutely amazing! He was patient, attentive and explained the whole process as we went through. He checked on me anytime we went in the more sensitive areas! I ended up with amazing art! I would 100% recommend him! This most definitely wont be the last time I get tattooed by him!

Brandon the artist I got my tattoo from and it is amazing! He was super nice and works well with clients especially if it’s their first tattoo like me. Also he gave helpful information about parking. Lastly they go over care of the tattoo while healing and give you a paper that gives the exact same information.

I want to start off by saying this was the best experience I’ve ever had. I was searching for different tattoo shops to bring my idea to life. After getting brushed away from 2 other places that said it couldn’t be done I came across “Ink Different Tattoos”. I reached out to them via instagram and Brandon responded within the hour! He immediately was able to help me brainstorm ideas to make my tattoo work and I was able to book an appointment the next day! Once I got to the tattoo shop Brandon was incredibly friendly and helpful. He made sure I was happy with the design and the placement. Once he started tattooing we chatted the whole time! About everything and anything!! It was such a delightful experience. He would make sure to check in on me between chats to ask if I needed a break or anything. I highly recommend this tattoo shop and Brandon! It’s the best package deal you could ask for and I can confidently say this is gonna be my favorite tattoo I will ever get. I will definitely be coming back!

I had the opportunity to get a tattoo by one of the artists Brandon! He was so above and beyond sweet, talented, and made the experience so fun! He was attentive and checked on me, letting me take as many breaks as I needed, and helping me laugh my way out of the tender spots! And in the end I have a gorgeous tattoo (and my favorite one now!) and I cannot wait to come back for my next one! 100/10 would recommend! Beautiful place and beautiful people!

I got a tattoo today by Shamain and she did an amazing job. The tattoo came out so much better than I originally thought. Her communication throughout the process of selecting a design to making an appointment and then completing the tattoo was flawless. I have no complaints and will definitely be back again for another tattoo.

Brandon is an absolute angel! Came in as a walk in with my friend and we weren’t sure on what we wanted but Brandon was super patient and friendly and helped us come up with such a cute design! We spent the whole appointment chatting and laughing and he still maintained complete professionalism. Very clean, organised and fab attention to detail. The shop is groovy as hell as well! Would highly recommend Brandon to anyone - his flash sheets were insanely cool and he’s also open to drawing up your own ideas / designs. All around, this was as really great experience and we had such a fun evening with him. Will deffo be back next time I’m back in CT. Thank you so so much!

Ive already planned for my husband and my friend to get their tattoos done here and recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing experience! The staff was so great, just chit chatting and throughout the session I felt like I was with people who could be my friends - so relaxed and comfortable. I had the pleasure of having Sarah, from the Philly shop, tattoo me. This was my first tattoo and I couldn’t have asked for a better artist! Sarah is absolutely amazing. She made sure I was comfortable and asked if I was okay or needed a break. She made me feel confident in my design decision and in myself! A great thing about her was she wanted to make sure the tattoo was perfect. So, she took the time to go over any parts of it that needed more filling. In addition to her awesome skills, Sarah taught me a lot of great things throughout our session!Although she usually works in Philly, she comes down mid month every month to work in CT. Sarah is dedicated to her art and uses her free time to continue to do what she loves! I got the chance to catch her in CT and I’m happy I did! I would definitely go back to this shop and have Sarah do more of my tattoos. If you’re into botanical pieces, Sarah is the one to go to! It is her favorite type of design to do and her shading for them are beautiful. :) The shop itself is a nice big space that is very clean and bright!Thanks again to Sarah and Body Art & Soul Tattoo. Got a rad Luna moth done by CJ a year ago and it still holds up and looks fresh. It was a nice chill atmosphere and a great process overall. I would definitely recommend getting work done by CJ or just dropping by the shop in general. I’m very pleased with my art work.

Great shop and great people. The apprentices are really nice, and have a great teacher. But, its not just a school, its also a studio! So, If youre looking for somewhere to get ink done, give this place a call!Ive gone to see Shamiain 3 times now and everytime shes done an amazing job and is extremely friendly!

Came to check this place out for Friday the 13th. Their flash art sheet was minimal but I got a cute kitty w raging eyes, and a tiger that everyone whos seen it compliments me on. The pricing is amazing, and the artists really connect with the clients when it comes to what they want, always making sure the placing is correct and that the client is pleased. This shop was great and Vinnie was incredible! Professional, clean, and a relaxing and inclusive atmosphere. The experience was smooth and easy. I went in with a friend to get a new tattoo to memorialize someone we both had lost. Vinnie was accommodating, friendly, and genuinely enjoyable to be around. He made our appointments a couple days in advance and even offered to come in a little early so we both had time to get our work done. By the time I was leaving the shop, I was already thinking about what I was going to come back to see Vinnie for next. Thank you for this incredible artwork Vinnie! Wonderful tattoo shop! I got my first tattoo here, and it was a great experience. Paloma (Rabbit Tattoos) was my tattoo artist. Her work is beautiful, and she was so sweet through the whole thing. The shop is clean, bright, and reasonably priced.Importantly, the shop is visibly welcoming of people of all identities. They use vegan materials.Highly recommend!

I have been looking for an artist to collaborate with for two years. This tattoo was incredibly special to me, and although I only had a vague vision for what I wanted, I knew that I had to be able to trust someone. Rachel (@tattoosbyrachel on instagram) was so patient; kind; educational; & creative. She met me halfway with my budget, and was willing to be flexible when it came to drafting the design. I am so in love with my tattoo. She traced over my grandfathers handwriting (so dont worry- no cultural appropriation here!).There was only one other person get a tattoo during my appointment, and there was plenty of distancing. (They lock the door to prevent walk in appointments).I HIGHLY recommend this shop, and especially Rachel. Her style is amazing. Happy to support a local artist! I cant wait to come back in the future. :)

I recently had a tattoo done by Sam, she was amazing! I can’t thank her enough I love my new tattoo so much. She was awesome to work with I had a consultation with her first and then she sent me the sketch a few days before my appointment so I was able to see everything before hand. I just got my first tattoo by the artist Pete. He was incredibly friendly and had a lot of the same interests, so we had a lot of engaging conversations. I have been with people who have had artists who were very cold and unfriendly, so it was great that Pete was the way he was.His skills of shading and line work are very up to par with his great personality. It was easy to see that he sincerely cared about my tattoo’s quality, even though it was not a huge and intricate design. He also seemed excited about the finished product, which was extremely assuring.Don’t go anywhere else! You will regret not going here!

Came in for my first tattoo ever. Had no idea what to expect, but Id think twice before going anywhere else. Beck worked with me to make a really personal design and then finished it in one sitting.I felt like there was a lot of care put into making me feel comfortable. It really helped me have an amazing experience. Will certainly be back.

I was interested in marking my visit to New Haven--literally. Body Art & Soul was, coincidentally, less than 1/4 mile from where I was doing life-changing internal work. I walked in, invited by the sign of inclusivity posted on the door. I loved the artists work I saw in books in the waiting area. I talked to a couple of artists, including Nao, the wonderful creator whom I chose to ink me (I choose to have female-identified tattoo artists as a matter of course). She is a wonderful artist and a compassionate person, whose reverence for the experience of tattooing and the respect for the interpersonal connection it creates made me feel immediately comfortable with her. Highly recommended.

I came in about two weeks ago wanting to add on to my arrow tattoo that is on my ribs. I had the pleasure of meeting Rachel who took a picture of what I had and asked me if I had any ideas on what I wanted. I gave her my idea and my phone number before I left the shop. The week following, Rachel was very patient was me on developing this idea I have in mind. During the tattooing process, I was a little nervous. But Rachel was very comforting and helped me through everything. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the tattoo that Rachel has done and I feel that it really transferred what I had in mind

A great experience. Becks ability to put my ideas to paper and then to ink and skin was incredible, it came out exactly how I wanted. While I may have accidentally picked an uncomfortable area of my body to get tattooed, Becks care and diligence ensured the pain was as minimal as possible and the healing was the fastest Ive ever experienced with a tattoo. Cant wait to get another!

I came in for a walk-in tattoo a few days ago. I recently suffered the loss of a best friend and only had one day left in the area. Sam got me in that day. I sent her a picture of what I wanted and she perfected it.Not only was her work absolutely flawless, but she actually kept me laughing the whole time. I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon this studio, and to have had Sam as my artist.Highly recommend, will definitely return when back in the area.

Sam has done an three awesome tattoos for me. This week she did an amazing three eyed cat on my hand that immediately became my new favorite. She’s very talented and I’ll for sure be coming back to her for future ink!

I met Paloma at the Jersey City (NJ) location about 3 years ago and was referred to her by my cousin. Over the years she’s tattooed me 8 times and I absolutely love her personality, professionalism and the ambience she gives during her sessions. Although she moved to the New Haven (CT) location, I still travel up to her from West Palm Beach (FL) to be tattooed by her bc she’s that great!!!

I have gotten 2 tattoos from Vinnie at this Shop. Guy is insanely talented! I have 30+ tattoos including a whole sleeve and wish I found Vinnie before I got any of them. I live in Boston and with as much talent as we have here, I will be making the trip down to New Haven for all my tattoos from here on out. the guy is a true professional with the humor of a comedian. Cant say enough good things about this shop and Vin!

This shop is so special not only for the artistry, but also because of their dedication to inclusitivioty. This is definitely a safe space for LGBTQ+ folx in the area, or anyone else who might feel intimidated by a traditional shop atmosphere. I would highly recommend Body Art and Soul to anyone and cannot wait to get more work done in the near future!

I am coming to get tattooed by their Lead Artist Pete this upcoming Friday. Pete took the time to listen to my idea for the tattoo, came up with a sketch for a small deposit (he required I leave a deposit to make the sketch but this money would apply to the tattoo) & then worked with me to edit the original sketch after to resemble my exact wanting.Both times Ive been in shop I was taken care of with great customer service & all my questions.

Sam was incredibly personable and nice! She did such a great job putting me at ease for my first tattoo and was very patient with my font wishes. Id go back for more in a heartbeat!

My entire experience here was relaxed, welcoming, and very professional. I first went in with a lot of questions and specific hesitations - after talking through it all with Pete, I realized I simply couldnt go anywhere else. The end result was better than I hoped thanks to Petes recommendations and direction. I can only personally speak to all-black work involving stupid-clean lines, but 5 stars all around.

Paloma did my first tattoo here and made sure that I was comfortable/understood the whole process.Their sign on the front door explicitly welcomes people with marginalized identities, which is the only kind of tattoo place you should be going to.

I have been working with Nao for about 4 years at the jersey city NJ location. I havent been able to find a suitable artist since she left so i decided to travel to CT and get work done with her. I (unintentionally) always give Nao super vague ideas and she goes with it and always comes out with AMAZING work. She is crazy creative and always values your opinions and works tirelessly until you are 1000% excited and happy with it. Aside from Nao, the location is spacious and clean. Cant wait for the next time to come back :)

I am having the most amazing piece of art done on my chest. Pete not only incorporated an existing tattoo but he put Starry Night by Van Gough around it. Body Art & Soul provides and amazing relaxed environment for its customers. Pete, Rabbit and Nao are amazing artist in many different aspects. My fiancé swears by Nao’s work And I swear by Pete’s work. We are looking both looking forward to getting work done by Rabbit as well to incorporate her style! Their is not one fraction of a complaint or negativity I can think of. Stop in and check out there work and insane abilities to create a masterpiece of art on your body!

The shop is clean & artists are friendly/nice, however i was given a stolen design which i did not know at the time and later found out. Also, the design was executed very poorly & im honestly embarrassed to have it on me for life. Ive been trying to find someone to fix it/cover it up & it just makes it so much worse to me that the design wasnt even original. very disappointed overall.

A great and safty place to have the beautiful and creative tattoo. The professional tattoo artists(they are also the wonderful educators) and the motivated workshop is the best for the people who are willing to being a tattoo artist.

They don’t do piercings!? I came to get my piercing changed and they said that they don’t do piercings anymore or change them but they do sell the jewelry. About 10 dollars a piece. So don’t go if you want a piercing.
