The Tattoo Shop

I have been tattooed at many shops across the states but have never enjoyed the experience like I had at The Tattoo Shop. The proprietors are true artists with three decades of experience and a passion for what they do. My wife and I got ink across from each other and we both felt an overwhelming sense of hospitality. Their pricing is far better than we thought and they certainly earned the large tip we gave them. With a pool table and a great selection of music they make this little gem of a shop fun. Before we left we scheduled our next appointment and even that wont be our last. It was an experience that will stick with us the rest of our lives and well worth the hour drive from our home.

Ungodly disappointed with this shop. Went to Jon, a guy who works in there. Paid in full for a sleeve and didnt even get the outline finished and since has ignored my texts. Even called up to the shop to talk to the store owner Derrick. Who said he would take care of the issue and get back to me within 24 hours. Its now going on 3 weeks since I spoke to the owner. Still cant get ahold of Jon who is still ignoring messages after being paid full and a total of 3+ months have passed since my tattoo was started. NEVER will I recommend this shop to anyone!

In December I walked in and got my first 2 tattoos, they were simple designs. Chris did a great job on them. Decided to go larger and had a large crest put on my upper arm, gave Chris a few ideas and he designed my artwork for my arm. It looks so much better than I anticipated, he also designed a piece for my chest and it is an amazing piece too.I am a bit ocd, and I also tend to be overly anxious about things. Chris took his time and helped me a lot more than he probably should have.I would definitely recommend Iron Anchor!

Great place to get a tattoo. And great prices as well. Im very pleased with my tatoo. I would do it all over again and probably pay more money. 😁 Is very clean. Also was handled very professionally.

I had walked in to discuss having some work done and once I saw the guys who many years ago both had worked on me as well as being my friends, it truely was good to see them both! Peace to both of them!

Awesome tattoo shop, I spoke with Hank one of the artists and founders of the shop, Jolly Roger, his portfolio is diverse and truly artistic in nature. This is an amazing place not only to get some of the best tattoos in town but also the artists have the most down to earth and genuine personalities. The artists make you feel comfortable. The prices are comprable and the quality of the work would you lead you to believe the prices would be higher. Not only is the work 5 stars out of 5 but I give the staff 5 out of 5 stars as well. I also spoke to Derek, another founder and artist whos portfolio of work is amazing. I would say if you have never had a tattoo this is the best place to start and if you are tattooed this is the best place to add to your canvas of work. (There are several other artists at this shop whom have diverse and amazing catalogs of work as well, all your tattoo needs can be met at this one shop, truly incredible!! I was truly impressed)

Taylor is beyond amazing! She is so very talented. She did both my tattoo and my husbands. She added little details of her own to both of them that made them even better than we could have imagined. Shes pretty popular so she stays booked up, but shes worth the wait!

We went the 30th of December 2017. Lacey did my daughter & her friends tattoo & they had a blast! Everything was nice, neat & clean! They made us comfortable while we was there! All the artist were awesome, they all talked to us & made us feel at home. We will definitely be back!!!

I got my first tattoo here back in 2015. Came back this year for another. They still do a great job. Time was taken to draw the tattoo the way I want it.Below the hummingbird is MA 21. This tattoo is in honor of my mom and mother-in-law, whom passed away in 2021 with each of their first initials.

Went there to get 2 tattoos well they didn’t finish my first kept making appointments and she didn’t show up 2nd appointment no show again. Went down there tonight and found out she had quit. They took my money and didn’t offer to help so I don’t recommend jolly rodgers at all. Also if you try to cause me problems for an honest review I’ll do exactly like the guy you did it to and involve the police.

All time favorite tattoo shop, and I have over 20 tattoos! Taylor freehanded on my fingers on my right hand and did an amazing job!! She was so sweet and was great company while performing my interesting requests. I had a lot going on at the time when I had come in and her and Derek both went above and beyond to give me great tattoos at a phenomenal price. Derek recreated a scene from the wall for me and not only did he and I get along great, but he gave mw my favorite tattoo to this day. He drew it to fit precisely between other tattoos and he just genuinely loved his job and you can tell in his attitude and work. This shop is amazing across the board and if you live in the region or visit you should absolutely stop by!

Taylor has done 3 of my tattoos and I do not plan to see any other tattoo artist. The big piece on my hip that she did was absolutely amazing. I recommend her to all of my friends and to anyone who wants a high quality tattoo and a high quality artist!!

Came in off the street, with no appointment, they got us in quickly. Price was fantastic, and the artist had an incredibly light hand. Best weve experienced. Will definitely come back for the next one.

I just got my belly button pierced, they were great. The guy who did it, was super nice and easy to be around, calming my raging nerves. All in all I would hands down trust them to pierce me again, if I so choose.

When you arrive at Iron Anchor, the absolute first thing you need to do is request for Taylor Lepeard (You can find her work on Instagram @taylorlepeardtattoos).2 years ago my husband and I came in looking for an addition for me and his first tattoo. Since then she has tattooed other friends of mine for their first tattoos and Is simply amazing. She handled my exact requests for my addition very professionally (especially since it was something I designed) and went above and beyond the design work for my husband’s first tattoo (which was a memorial piece towards his great grandparents).Hearing how she has been a professional artist and studied/practiced the art of tattooing for a few years is astonishing due to the fact of how technical she is, how soft her hand is while tattooing, and her stunning works. Her designs are original, and her style is fabulous, it’s a MUST to check out her old style of tattoos and hands especially. Even with her unique style she still cares for her clients and will work and collaborate with you for the perfect and final piece. She went outside of her comfort zone designing a tattoo piece for me and was so caring and patient when it came to the nitty gritty details of what I was requesting.Since our initial meeting, taylor has tattooed me several times with her original works & my husband will be getting his second Taylor Lepeard Tattoo this year. Taylor is the best artist in Paducah and has turned into a wonderful friend to me as well. Plus she has tattooed me while 8 months pregnant!! If that doesn’t tell you how much she loves tattooing and her dedication to this form of art I don’t know what will.Go in but ONLY for a Taylor Lepeard original tattoo

My husband and I went last night and it was a very clean shop friendly staff they worked with us and made sure we were able to get in we were tattooed by John piper and we loved his work we will most definitely be going back from now on for our tattoos

This place was amazing loved the it these guys and gals do some of the best work I have ever seen I live in Arkansas there in Kentucky Id drive back there and get my tattoo there polite you can even watch them work see what there work looks like I highly recommend iron anchor tattoo

The girls and I went to Paducah today to get braces off. While we were down there we had a run in with an aggressive impatient driver. A guy with an advertisement for Iron Anchor Tattoos on his back window (large vinyl decal completely covering the back window, not just a bumper sticker), in a gun metal gray dodge magnum with tinted windows, and he had lots of old faded sleeve work, got mad because I was taking too long to get in the left lane, so he started swerving aggressively behind us, once I got over he got beside us, kept honking his horn, cursing, flipping us off, and then he spit on my car. Im sure the guy felt proud of himself for picking on a woman with a car full of kids. I notified the police. I contacted the tattoo shop to complain via phone, email and Facebook, telling them about the incident, but never heard back from them. They advertise as the friendliest shop in town. If thats their idea of friendly Id like to know what their mean looks like. Have pics, have proof, contacted the police, so there is a record of this event.

I got my first tattoo here by Chris and he did an absolutely amazing job and was very patient with me. I have high anxiety and was freaking out and he was very good at helping me calm down

Artist Chris did awesome on our tattoos mine was my first husbands third great guy great work. Will come back for future pieces.

Iron Anchor is by far the best in town! Ive been going there for the last 5 years or so and I always leave with an amazing tattoo! I will never go anywhere else!

Went in with my friend and her sister and had nothing but issues from the beginning. When we walked into the shop, they kept talking over us and each other, and it was hard to get any words in. All in all, very overwhelming and it put us off.

I have gone to a lot a tattoo shops but this one has been the best one so far. Pricing and quality of tattoo are good. Also they are so friendly

Lacey did a flower tattoo for me and she did amazing!! Its better than what I was thinking of. Very professional artist. Highly recommend

Alex and Jason took the money for my old ladies tattoo and never finished the work. I wouldnt recommend these artist because they dont keep their words or finish their jobs. They cheat people out of their money and they not people of their words.

Derek and Pat did amazing jobs on the ink that my daughter and her BFF got. Clean surroundings. Awesome experience.

This is what you get when you leave a honest review about them. They stalk you on Facebook and find out who you are and message you this. Had to get my father who is in law enforcement involved.

Absolute wonderful experience,artist was very kind and thorough,did a great job and his staff very curtious and helpful.

One of the worst shops Ive ever seen in my life. All the artists are rude, have no clue what they are doing and should not be behind a needle at all.

Wanted to be a client of them, but very poor customer service. We went on a Monday because the website says that they are open, but only to find out that they are closed. I have also tried calling them numerous times, but they had never answered and upon leaving a message, they had never gotten back to me. Very disappointed, but I think we really dodged a bullet with this one.

Have not dealt with this tattoo shop, but I have dealt with one of the artist (so called artist) Patrick which is not a very nice guy nor does he stand by his work, very rude !!!! would not recommend this shop !!!
