Oh my gosh. Let me start by saying that I have never gotten a tattoo in a tattoo shop before. I looked up tattoo shops near me and the universe put “war paint” in my path lol. With the best rating on Google and them being the top runner, I decided to try them out. And I am SO GLAD that I did! they make you feel so welcome. They are chill cool and down to earth, relatable. At the same time, very professional, sanitary and clean.If you’re anything like me and nervous about getting a tattoo or picking the right place,. I’m telling you don’t pick one of these other five shops around here, go to John and Sarah at ”War Paint”!. You will not regret it! They got a new life customer with me and I will be making another appointment to come back soon:)Edit.. I know with this economy a lot of people are worrying about prices. So I wanted to edit this end… They’re pricing is very reasonable.❤️

I had two tattoos done by Jonathan. It was a great overall experience. I have been tattooed by three other artists and this was by far the best. Communication was great from the consultation through the tattoos. Jonathan and Sarah are amazing. I highly recommend them.

Donny has always been amazing! Ive known him for 15 years and hes still a great artist. My husband and I went to get a tattoo (my husband is 46 and NEVER had a tattoo) and Donny was amazing along with his staff and Nick who got us in the same day I called! Which was amazing because I didnt want time for my husband to back out! Husband felt great and didnt even squirm! Was so happy I went back the next day for my next 3 touch ups and another tattoo! Your the best Donny! Thanks so much!

My first visit to War Paint was amazing. Sarah Beans did a fantastic job, sketching my tattoo before I arrived and she made me feel totally at home. They are a small intimate shop with just Sarah and her partner (and their pups). I absolutely love my tattoo, which was planned as my last (but may be back for my bat 🦇).Their collection of antiques, toys, and memorabilia is also really fun!!

Sarah & Jon are not just great tattoo artist theyre great people! Ive only had a few tattoos and the experience is varied. Id have to say my experience with them as the best. Theyre professional, communicative, clean, and take the time to talk with you about your tattoo. For my most recent tattoo I wanted it in my own handwriting on my forearm. I was nervous about how it would come out. Jon did a great job and I am so happy with it! 🙏💛

Ive only had a few tattoo artists in my life and have about a dozen tattoos. For the past 3 to 4 years, Ive only gone to War Paint Studios. Im a bit picky, and I want the person that is going to permanently mark my body to not only be exceptional but also personable, kind and gets me. Thats somewhat a tall order, but I found these qualities with Jonathan and Sarah at War Paint Studios. Other than my first tat when I was 18 that I picked from a picture on the wall (lol), all my tattoos have been custom designed and hold a special meaning to me, and I share my story with them and, in return, they share stories and life experiences with me. Most of my sessions are 2-3 hours and, not only am I ecstatic with the results, I walk out of there feeling rejuvenated. I am very grateful that I met them.

The hospitality was great. The staff are pleasant to be around. They are very informative and have so much patience and understanding. I definitely recommend them. Especially if ur getting a tattoo for the first time. I absolutely love love love my tattoo! Thank you Dennis!

Very clean place! Great artists with a lot of talent; versatility, and amazing original art! They are extremely great people! The shop doesnt only offer tattoos! They offer original paintings, original hand made jewelry, original hand made decor, and clothing and accessories as well!! It doesnt have that typical tattoo shop feel where everything looks dark, demonic, or ed hardy-ish. Feels and looks much cleaner and fresher!

Not only are the owners amazing tattoo artists, but they are wonderful people to spend time with while getting some beautiful ink. The shop they have is full of unique items that make perfect gifts for yourself or others!!! All around, one of my favorite places to be!

Absolutely the best tattoo and art studio I have ever been too, and I have been to a lot. Amazing artists and the most kind hearted people. They have completely changed the stereotype of a tattoo shop. I walked in there looking for a tattoo and walked out with a group of friends. I highly recommend anyone looking for a tattoo or local art to check them out! I wanted to post an update to this review. This is no normal tattoo shop. I can say besides amazing artwork and customer service they provide a environment that truly makes you feel special and safe. Throughout Ohio entire shelter in place order I have missed their company more then I can explain. Jon, Sarah, Jenn, and Donnie provide a place where your mind and body can relax and War Paint is something Ohians desperately need now more than ever.

I got my first tattoo by Donny and I’m absolutely in love with it. He’s super nice and easy to talk to and his art work really stands out. Thank you Donny for making my very first piece. Can’t wait to come back for me.

I absolutely love my 2 new tattoos, only took a few hours get 2 sweet very meaningful to me. Dennis Naugle has done every tattoo I have, Im now at 5 and soon will be getting more. It was my first time at. Warpaint studio everyone was fun, I had a blast. Highly recommend this company.

In the process of getting my whole leg done. Every time I leave loving my new addition. Jonathan is so creative and turns my ideas into something cool every time. Owners are very welcoming and make you never feel out of place!

Jen did my daughters first tattoo ,She drew it up from my daughters ideas . Her rendering was perfect ! The tattoo on my daughter was perfect ! Sarah also did a tat on myself while I was there could not be more impressed with their artistry and professionalism ! The shop has much to offer . Will be coming back for more , no need to go any where else !

Sarah is a beautiful soul in and out, and you can definitely tell when you walk into this place...amazing energy!Donnie is an amazing artist and very informative.I will definitely be coming back for more ink along with sending others! :).
