I cannot speak highly enough about Skin Worx. My artist, Brian, has been fantastic to work with, both listening to what I want and adding his own flare to the piece. His work is exceptional, in fact, he is easily the best tattoo artist I have ever worked with. Greg runs a great shop and this is the only place in town I would go for any of my tattoo needs.

Brian was awesome! My sisters and I wanted sister tattoos while we were all together. We decided on the Powerpuff girls and the whole experience was awesome. It was my first one and he made me feel comfortable and joked around with all three of us. It was a grade A tattoo and at a great price. Recommend them over and over. Everyone there was great. They did such a great job, my mom got one too!

The best tattoo shop! My husband and I went in with an idea of what we wanted and wanted to use our wedding flowers as inspiration. We spoke with Demi and told her what we were wanting, showed her pictures of my wedding flowers, with no idea where we wanted our tattoos to go. Demi went above and beyond! I cannot tell you how happy I am with the results. Not only was the service exceptional but they are great people and were a joy to be around. We had wonderful conversations and laughed a lot. I cant wait to go back for my next tattoo with Demi!!

This is only my 3rd tattoo but I would recommend Skinworx to my friends and family. The facility is nice and clean. The staff is friendly and I felt very comfortable throughout my visit. Greg did my tattoo of a sunflower and wildflowers. Its it beautiful. He is extremely talented and really cares about his work and how it will look on you now and 10 yrs from now.. Hes very professional and will advise you on what will and wont work. He is truly an artist and pays attention to the details. I absolutely love my new tattoo. Cassidy is an excellent piercer!! Very knowledgeable about aftercare and other things relating to a piercing. She was friendly and the shop overall had a lovely staff w/ a great vibe.

Bryan did an amazing job on my tattoo! He was very friendly and the passion he has for his work clearly shows. He made sure to take a few breaks during our session and made the whole thing as relaxing as it could be. I am beyond pleased with my experience and I recommend to everyone I know.

We went tonight to have my nipples pierced. Great experience, totally awesome people. Very clean, sterilized equipment and the whole process was easy. We left the shop and my car wouldnt crank. These people literally went above and beyond! Cassidy (piercer) helped push our car over to Gregs truck and he jumped us off. Wonderful people with great hearts!

Had a good tattoo done, had one the artist messed up. She offered to try and fix it or color over, but never heard back from her when I tried to schedule the repair work. Called multiple times to schedule but no luck

Make sure you check out the artist work before giving up a deposit. Policy says they can return it if you cancel within 48 hours of appointment. That’s a lie. $100 down the drain for not liking the artist work or drawings (never again) front desk lady was very rude will never return -

I finally decided to take the plunge. Cassidy took her time, made my daughter feel safe and explained everything in detail. She gave my daughter a squeeze toy for distraction and comfort, helped her to breathe appropriately, and was personal and empathetic. She was very skilled. My nervous daughter didn’t cry, and has been talking about Cassidy and her experience for hours now.If your daughter needs her ears pierced I highly recommend her. I imagine she’s this conscientious with all her clients as well. I highly recommend this business.

Cassidy pierced my daughter’s ears (6 years old) and was amazing. She was patient and explained every step. I thought it would be traumatic lol but Cassidy made my kid feel comfortable and it was seamless! So easy. My girl didn’t even cry. Definitely going to go back for other piercings!

Cant say enough good things about Skinworx! I went in on a Tuesday (after having several recommendations from friends), and had an appointment set for Thursday. Kenneth took my design and made some recommendations based on his experience, and then got to work. Three solid hours of tattooing later, I had an amazing piece on my forearm that was everything I was looking for and more! He even made some changes on the fly to make my piece perfect. I HIGHLY recommend these guys! Awesome work, fair pricing, and an attention to detail i didnt expect. I will DEFINITELY be back for more work!!!!

Got my very first tattoo from Demi. My tattoo was very simple but she still showed an interest into why I was getting it. Her pricing was very reasonable. I was honestly expecting to spend more. She did a great job! I would recommend her to anyone.

My wife and I had small matching tattoos done here. The woman (Not sure what her name is) who done them did an amazing job! She did the tattoos in a room with Greg (I believe he’s the owner) while he was doing another tattoo on someone else. He was very cool and funny. I really enjoyed my experience at this establishment and will be back in the future! Whoever has a negative thing to say about this place clearly is just an idiot!

Last week I decided to get a walk-in tattoo & loved my experience! I had to wait awhile (but I didnt have an appointment) & it was so worth it! Kenneth came out & talked to me, listened to what I had to say, & told me how to take care of them. He tattooed 3 birth flowers on my arm for my passed family members & Im so happy he was the one that did this for me. Kenneth was great & I cant wait to go back!

I had an amazing experience getting my septum pierced with Cassidy! I was told by another piercer I didn’t have the anatomy for a septum piercing, but Cassidy took her time and did an amazing job! It’s been healing like a dream so far. I immediately felt comfortable in her piercing room and i’ll definitely be going back for any other piercings!

Absolutely the best shop around! Had two old tattoos to cover up and Greg did an amazing job! So amazing a shoulder blade and half sleeve piece turned into a full sleeve! His other artists are very talented as well. This will be the shop where all of my work will be done!

Tattoo artist was talented but not personable. The front desk lady was absolutely AWFUL! I know most tattoo places are not friendly but this place took it to a whole new level. None of them know how to smile…making my experience a pretty miserable one.

Im going to start by saying that Cassidy is the sweetest most considerate person I have ever met. And the Skinworx crew are the nicest people I have come across in all of Pelham my 6months being here.I got my nipples pierced at a different shop before moving to AL and the left one was pretty consistently giving me issues. I took the leap and went to Skinworx to have someone check it out (I must also say the woman at the front desk was lovely as well. Super nice)Cassidy looked at it for me and immediately went into recover mode giving me tips to try to save it even changing the jewelry to a higher grade of metal. Unfortunately it did end up rejecting (I think I waited too long to seek help because I was worried about going to a different person)Cassidy re-pierced it for me with no charge and it wasnt even her original work. It looks great and it actually hurt much less. She is very knowledgeable in her field and from first meeting her she answered all of my questions and was patient with me while I took notes.Please if you are getting any piercings done in AL come here. Cassidy will take care of you. If you are afraid I especially recommend Cassidy. If you just like chill people with a kind soul and a calming accent (trust me) I recommend Cassidy. I just recommend Cassidy period!

Went in to get my nose pierced and Cassidy was absolutely AMAZING! She talks you through the whole process and calms any nerves you may have going on, she was super awesome! Demi also did a small tattoo on the side of my wrist and she did great and was really laid back and nice!

I have had 3 tattoos and 2 piercings done here by Greg the owner. The oldest being almost 20 years ago at another shop he owned. Would never consider going anywhere else. Very clean and the people working there are always polite and ready to answer every question you may have. How anyone could ever give this place less than 5 stars is beyond me.

From the moment I stepped in this shop I noticed the friendliness and cleanliness of the shop. I was taken care of in a professional manner got to book an appointment easily. Greg was extremely professional which isnt what I was use to in a tattoo shop scene, it was surprising but it put me at ease. Getting a tattoo is always an exciting and nervous feeling. At first its hard to put your trust in a tattoo artist but I had seen his work on other clients and was too impressed to not use him. He didnt fail me at all. I got a cover up, a rose on top of a Celtic clover. After having it done for a couple of years now its still my all time favorite tattoo and wish he wouldve done all my past tattoos. I get so many compliments on it. Ive had people literally stop me in what I was doing just to ask where I got it, who done it, how long it took and so on. So yes. I feel I cant go no where else cause it would be cheating.

The tattoo parlor was easy to find, clean, and welcoming. The artist doing the tattoo was Brian Harris. He was awesome! He was friendly, honest, professional, and knowledgeable about his craft. I would recommend this place to others and I will be going back! Big ups to Brian!

Greg is an awesome artist. I have one that he did and all of my friends have one or multiple by him. Hes always professional, VERY clean work environment, and an amazing talent. Greg encourages custom tattoos because honestly, who wants one like everyone else?! He takes time to discuss what you want and incorporates his artistic vision to make your tattoo one of a kind that youll be proud of!

My daughter wanted her ears pierced for her 7th birthday. We went to Skin Worx and Cassidy did an AMAZING job. She was so professional, caring and took her time with my daughter. She knows exactly how to keep a little girl calm! No tears, screaming, or even flinching.I have had many piercings myself, and this was hands down the best experience, I ever had!

I went to Greg with a thigh tattoo that I didnt think would be able to be salvaged, but he did his magic and delivered an incredible piece of art. Not only is his work top notch, hes incredibly professional and very nice to talk to. Some parts around my knee were giving me fits, but he kept my mind occupied with good conversation.Everybody in the shop is super welcoming, friendly and respectful. Im already planning my next visit and wouldnt even consider going anywhere else :)

We decided late in the afternoon to stop in an see if they had any availability. The staff was so nice and helpful and we were getting tattooed within the hour. Demi did our tattoos and the are AMAZING!!! She is extremely light handed so it wasn’t anywhere near as painful as I anticipated. Ive been going to Skinworx for my tattoos for over 6 years now and I wont go anywhere else. Greg is so professional and just easy to work with. The atmosphere is always drama free and comfortable which is very important to me. My tattoos are very sentimental so i expect the process to be just as sentimental and at Skinworx thats what I always get. You get what you pay for and here you will never regret your experience.

I’m so glad we found Cassidy! She is AMAZING. She pierced my 6 and 7 year olds’ ears and was so great with them throughout the entire process. My oldest was a little scared at first and Cassidy was so patient and talked her through everything. Now she only trusts Cassidy with anything that has to do with her piercings. Cassidy even helped us to put the earrings back in when my daughter’s fell out a few weeks later and the hole started to close a little. They absolutely love her and ask to go back all the time to get new earrings. I would use her again and again and recommend her to everyone!!!!!

What a great place if your looking for true artist. Very clean shop and a friendly staff. I have around 90 hours worth of work on my body done by Greg. And I dont plan on stopping there. I believe when your making permanent alterations to your body you should do your research and only invest in the best. I believe my choice to use Greg at Skinworx was beyond the best decision Ive ever made. I couldnt be happier with what I have and couldnt be more excited about what we will work on next.

This is my 2nd time coming here. My son had a tattoo done my 1st visit. I came back for mine. Brian was my artist. He did a great job on my tattoo. My son’s tattoo is also good. I like the time management between customers and how clean the shop is.

I was in Birmingham on business and had been wanting a tattoo of a drawing my 6 yo old son had made for me. I called and was told they would be happy to work me in. I am so impressed by the work he did. The tattoo is of a whale and Brian took every step to ensure my tattoo looked as much like my sons drawing as possible. He did a fantastic job. He was extremely friendly, respectful, and polite and I felt comfortable with him doing my tattoo despite only having met him that day. I would recommend this tattoo shop to anyone.

Just came in for some piercing ed on my forward helix piercing (I didn’t even know there was a term for the specific piercing). Bryan was extremely clean, professional and knowledgeable, talked me through everything he did during the process, and was all around a friendly, cool guy! Great vibes in his room too. Went to get a nose peircing 2 months ago , was over charged. paid 75$. my nose has been constantly infected and bleeding since even after following all after instructions and cleaning it 4x a day sometimes even more. went to get a second opinion from another piercer and was told they put jewelry ment for tragus piercings and the gauge she used was way larger then what i asked for. i was peirced by cassidy. overall a nice environment but not very experienced peircers and definitely a ripoff .

I dont even know where to start. I love this place. Brian is a darling and he did this beautiful tattoo for me for less than what I thought it was going to be and it is exactly the color of my eyes because he stared until he found the exact color that he needed to use. Ive had three other tattoos done here and my next one will be here also. Ill also be going to see Brian. Everyone was friendly. I met everybody because he was showing it off when he was done and he was taking pictures with his cell phone for probably his portfolio because they have them online so they can see you know what they specialize in. I loved the fonts that they had available. I had a font that is able to be read but very unique. He took the picture that I emailed them and just changed the black eyeshadow to blue and change the blue gray eyes to the color of my light blue eyes. He was very talkative. He listened to me moan and grown about going through a divorce and he was very professional. Everyone was professional. The guy at the desk pardoned I dont remember his name but he was very very nice when I came in and I came in within 2 hours before they closed and I was going to have to go back and Brian said no Ill do it and he stenciled it out and it was too big I told him to make it smaller and it was perfection the detail in the tears and you can see that the eyes are welled up with tears and when you get really close you can actually see the bottom eyelashes. It is unreal This is probably going to be my favorite tattoo of the five that I have. It is again confirming that my divorce is done and I never cried one tear for that man but daily for my son. Greg the owner loved it everybody loved it he saw where I was allergic to adhesives and he used masking tape which only had to keep on for an hour and I had originally wanted it either on my forearm on my foot and he was like forearm all the way and its big I didnt really realize how big it was but I dont regret it I love it I cant quit looking at it. Go see Brian if you want you a good tattoo. He said he isnt going anywhere. It was a wonderful experience from the moment I walked in the door to the time I left. These guys know their job I wouldnt even say job Its an art. It takes an artist to be able to capture the color of my eyes perfectly. Its really the best place I would say you can go anywhere in central Alabama. Their prices were reasonable and I actually have enough to get another one left over that I didnt have to spend but not quite yet. Were going to weigh a little while. Anyway like I said go see them Im sure Greg he does the really like intricate huge like tattoos and he was walking around and looking and you know kept everybody happy and when they took me in there he was like wow man thats awesome and made sure he got a picture and I was very pleased. I give them five stars but if I could give them 10 I would give them 10.

Greg did my tattoo. He went above and beyond to make sure we both were very confident in the design. He is a true artist--the little details truly matter to him. The finished piece blows away the competition. Pictures simply fail to capture the small details that makes Gregs work so special. Nicest guy; cleanest shop, super professional service. Worth every penny!

Trey did a great job with me and my sister making us both feel comfortable and at ease and not an inconvenience like allot of places tend to do. Best tattoo ive gotten so far with perfect lines and this is my 5th tattoo. Cant find a single flaw! More then satisfied with my experience here and i found my new tattoo artist for anything else in the future

Ive been going to Greg for years now. He is the only person I trust to do do my artwork. his talent is in high demand so dont expect to be able to do a walk in. If you want it done right you must be patient, if you want it done right now and dont mind a lower quality tattoo Im sure there is a shop somewhere else that will provide you with a peice that may or may not need to be covered at a later time.. There’s no better tattoo shop than Skinworx, in my opinion! The shop is super clean. The staff is friendly, patient and knowledgeable! The artists are the best of the best! I trust that Greg vets each artist to insure of that fact!Todd Boling has done my last three tattoos, and he’s going to do a cover up on my foot. He’s got a light hand and that matters to me because I’m not a fan of pain! I’d said that I wouldn’t do the much needed cover up without an Epidural but because Todd has such a light hand, imma do it!! Another plus in Todd’s favor is that one of the tattoos he did for me is in Hebrew. I’d done all of my research to make sure that it was correct BUT Todd wanted to do his own research just to double check as well. He wanted to make sure that I had the correct spelling and such! That’s huge!! I didn’t take offense at all! It blessed me!!Oh and My daughter wants her nose pierced but I’m waiting on Greg to choose a piercer because I know he’ll vet them the same way he does his tattoo artists. I don’t trust her pretty little nose with just anyone! I trust who Greg trusts!!

On a whim I popped in and saw Cassidy for my 10th ear piercing (conch), and it was by far the best piercing experience I’ve ever had. Greg done my tattoo about 10 or 12 years ago and the awesome thing about it is it still looks as good today as it did when he done it... He is a very busy person and you do have to make an appointment but he is worth it... I havent met anyone that has tattoos that doesnt know him or heard of him. I told him once that his tattoos should be called body art because his work truly looks like art, very realistic...

I got my first tattoo done by Todd, he was very nice and it looks amazing. He took his time and explained everything to me and made sure the tattoo looked exactly how I wanted it. This place is very clean and welcoming, everyone I talked to was very nice and helpful. I definitely recommend going here!! 😊

Paid a 100$ deposit with an artist over cashapp. Was told to email to get scheduled. Waited for a response for 8 months. Went in person and got scheduled for that weekend after proving my deposit. Got a phone call the next day saying I need to pay another deposit because my old one couldnt be honored due to time spent waiting. I couldnt receive a refund either. So my money is just stolen at this point. Over the phone I was spoken to as if I was in the wrong as well. Unbelievable.

All the work I have seen come from this shop is freaking amazing!! Greg is a top notch artist. I am so very grateful I found him, my only regret is that it wasnt sooner. I had a horrible tattoo that needed a cover-up and I went to another shop in Montevallo, Alabama. The owner there took my money made my horrible tattoo even worse to the point several other local shops refused to attempt a cover up. One shop even told me to have it all removed and come back and hed be happy to start fresh.A friend seen my cover-up that needs a cover-up and recommended I check with Greg. I stopped in his shop on a busy Friday night, the guy at the counter was wonderful, answered all my questions, he showed me some of Gregs fabulous work including cover-ups. Greg has seen the ungodly task before him and has no fear. I cant wait until Im in his chair.Take it from someone who has been robbed of cold hard cash from a shop that is still in business today even though that shop owner defiled my body along with many others I have learned about in the past 2 years. Do the research and I believe you will see this mans work is fabulous.

Everything was flawless. Greg is the most amazing artist Ive ever seen and known. I have sent many of people from all over the the surrounding states when they seen the masterpiece he created on my left arm. If you think the price is too high just know you get what you pay for. I can guarantee the moment you set eyes on the finished product you will feel as of you didnt pay enough for your art.

I did a lot of research in Alabama before choosing Greg Ashcraft to do my daughters portrait on my hand. He is very well known for his portraits. I was very nervous about this piece but Greg reassured me that it would be perfect. Nearly a year has gone by and i still get asked to this day about it. It was identical to the picture I give him. I went for my second tattoo here, and told the receptionist and the artist what I wanted. They shot down the placement and color selection instantly. The tattoo I got was good, but I would have appreciated a little more explanation as to why I couldnt get the original one that I wanted. They were all super sweet and nice besides that.

By far the most polite and friendly atmosphere Ive experienced in a shop. Bryan took one look at what I was after and gave me a thumbs up, this is after having several local shops tell me I cant do art like that, its to photo realistic, would you like it in a new school or American traditional style etc. I chose Bryan from amongst their artist based on the beautiful pet portraits and wildlife art in his portfolio and he seemed legit excited to get to put this big colorful spider on me. They got me an appointment for less than a week after I came in, I was presented immaculate art (seriously I know its on me and I should be happy with it, but the tarantula I have looks better than any of the similar pieces Ive seen personally), he applied it pretty quickly to considering how solid the linework came out. I can clearly see the fine lines of each hair that adds this lush real texture to the piece, there are no bumps or hiccups or squiggles, the color is vibrant and bright in places and deep in other places with perfect use of shading so it doesnt just wash out at a distance. This piece was a memorial for my dad who had the same kinda spider tattooed on him, I have no doubt he wouldnt just be proud of this art he would be jealous. Im super thrilled with my piece, I cant suggest these guys enough. Thanks so much Skinworx, thanks so much Bryan. It means the world to me and Ill see you guys again soon for the highlight session.

I got my belly button pierced and my daughter got her hairs I barely even felt my piercing and it was the second time I had had it done so they had to pierce it deeper, we didnt wait the woman was available right away and we had no appointment, just walked in and in 3 minutes later we were both pierced and on our way!

I had been researching different tattoo places because I wanted to have a helix piercing or cartilage piercing (not sure what you call it but its the top part of the ear) and came across Skinworks. They had so many great reviews and that made me more comfortable with choosing them. Im so glad I went with them! Miranda did my piercing and she did such an awesome job! She was very friendly and made me feel at ease, answering any questions I had. Tbh I was a little nervous that it would be painful because Id only had my ear pierced one other time but it ended up not hurting at all....the only slight bit of pain was like how it would feel if someone pinched your arm. Anyway, Im very pleased with the hole experience, my piercing looks great and would recommend to anyone whose looking for a good place to get a piercing done.

Greg Ashcraft has done multiple tattoos for me. Each one he has done is an original piece that we sat down and created. He doesnt like to copy other peoples tattoos he wants to give you something original and just for you so he takes whatever crazy idea you have and makes a beautiful reality. 2 stars because this place is very clean being the positive but I went in to get letters couple months ago and realized after I got my tattoo that apparently the apprentice was the one who did it. Not only was I unaware of this but also paid full price for someone that is still learning to do my tattoo. I had to go to tattoo expression to get it fixed. I heard so much about this place being a christian establishment and Im sorry but Im disappointed.

Greg took my simple idea and turned it into something amazing. My tattoo turned out much larger than I initially imagined, but I wouldnt change it for anything. Love my eclipses.

Skinworx is your choice when it comes to tattoos or piercings in Jefferson county. In my opinion, its the only place in the state. The owner, Greg, and his staff, is first class! I will never go anywhere else.

It was the best by far, Bobby did my ink usually the artist is multitasking talking on the phone or just not paying attention to what they are doing. But, Bobby was completely focused on me and my ink and the end result was above and beyond what I expected.

99% of this place I recommend. There is one artist here that turns my 5 into 4. All I know is his name is Brian and he messed my wifes tattoo up big time because he cant pay attention to detail or simply instructions.

Staff was nice, but the artist was some elderly boomer terrified of rainbows. Lmao. Go 2 Revolution Ink for a way better tattoo and experience.

Way overpriced he told me 6 hours for a tattoo that took two hours. The tattoo I wanted was a lizard about 6 inches long an inch wide on my forearm said it would be 10 hours at 140 bucks an hour thats insane the tattoo would take 3 at the most if that. I have 10 tattoos the dude is insanely overpriced he must tattoo like a freaking turtle

I got my tongue pierced here and the people here are so incredibly nice and do take into consideration about being nervous! Wonderful place. A little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for!!

I have went in here with my brother and he ask a mothra tattoo the guy told him one price. So I was going to do it for that, but then I came in he told me a different price asked what I wanted then when I told him he told on no it basically was to detailed to put where I wanted it with a attitude. Loving my products (Glisodin whitening pils) for dark areas on my cheeks (melasma).. Taken this pills 4 months ago. Taken as prescribed. By Cheryl. Now taking this pills 1 pilll - 2 times a weeks for maintenance.If youre concerned about your dark spot asked Cheryl. Shes the best and sure knows her products. The place is too small and they only had one artists there that could not do a dragon tatt. I was the next in line and others was taken before me soon they walked in the door. and I was told that the person who does the tatt . is unavailable
