Gage is a very professional and talented artist who has the ability to bring his pieces to life and who has incredible attention to detail. Gage has been working on Lord of the Rings leg sleeve on me since July. His work is some of the best out there that I have seen for black and white realism. I came to him with a basic idea of what I wanted and he was able to turn it into a piece of art I couldn’t have envisioned myself. I would recommend him and the rest of the people in his shop. The quality of all their work is top notch. Edit: He has since added to my calve and I could not be happier with the work he does.

I’ve now been tattooed by the owner Ryan Gage Gonzalez for a total of 20 hours. He and his studio are nothing shy of a great tattooing experience. Gage and all other artists have great safety protocols for clean tattooing and proper aftercare. I’ve been tattooed from Atlanta to Columbus and Solemn Ink is no question my favorite place to get tattooed.

I have been to Solemn Ink for two tattoos with Gage so far. I have to drive an hour to get to his shop. I got my first tattoo with Gage in June of 2021 and just got my second in January of 2022. I will definitely be back for more. Never having had a tattoo before can make picking an artist pretty nerve racking and not knowing the proper etiquette on price, tip, and communication with an artist can make it worse. A coworker recommended Gage and I’m glad I went with him. Gage is super easy to talk to. Gage runs a super clean shop at Solemn Ink. He opened the needles in front of me and is constantly washing his hands and changing his gloves when needed. You can trust him and his healing recommendations after getting tattooed. I’m a firm believer in you get what you pay for. If you are worried about his prices look at the competition. It’s night and day difference. Save your money and get a quality tattoo from Gage. You won’t regret it.

Gage is incredible. I have now used him for three tattoos and all are amazing. He is extremely professional and makes sure his client is comfortable at all times. Tattoos arent meant to feel like butterfly kisses but I have 8 and he has definitely been the most gentle. Seven years ago I decided to get my first tattoo. I’m a 59 year old woman who had never set foot in a tattoo shop and I was scared half to death, which seems funny now. I lucked out and ended up with the best tattoo artist ever. Gage is kind, professional and wildly talented. I felt completely at ease the whole time. I am in awe of his talent as an artist. His designs are simply stunning. I bought a print of his work that he sold in the shop he was working in at the time and it hangs in my living room now. I no longer live in the area, but I am delighted to see he has opened his own shop. No one deserves it more.

I went to Solemn Ink to get a tattoo done by Gage Gonzalez, best tattoo experience I have ever had. His shop is extremely clean and he makes you very comfortable while getting a tattoo. When I first saw Gage’s work, I couldn’t believe he hadn’t been a previous winner on “Ink Master”. His work speaks for itself but I’ll be glad to add to it. I wanted a family of bears in a PNW setting to represent my family and he took the idea and made it better than I could have ever dreamed. Wrapped up session 1 this past week and am already excited about the next. If you’re thinking “oh wow his wait time is so far out”, trust me….wait for an appointment with him! The wait will be more than worth it when you see your heart inspired designed on your skin with his skill that applied it! No matter how far you have to drive to get to his shop, you’ll drive back thinking you’d drive back twice as far to get his work again! He’s that good!Also, he only charges you when he’s actually working on you. He doesn’t do the whole “I scheduled you for this block of time so I’m going to charge you for this block of time.” Dude is as honorable as it comes with how he charges! Don’t waste your time on your local guy just because he can get you this week, wait and make sure the art being put on your body is something you’ll always be proud to display, and this is the guy that’ll do it!

I told Gage basically what I wanted, and he came up with something so beautiful and creative and perfectly captured what I wanted. The process was lovely, we chatted a bit and I watched some Netflix in between conversations. He was very efficient and it was my first big tattoo. He was sure to make sure I was ok, and he was very light handed. Overall I was extremely satisfied and I will only go to him to get any work done. I am a customer for life!The second picture is what was placed on the other side of my arm! Next up is space theme for my upper arm. Gage is an incredible artist with great people skills. I just received my 17th tattoo, and I have been using Ryan as a tattoo artist for over two years now. He has done both of my huge thigh pieces as well as my upper left arm.
