First time at this parlor, very pleased with the results. Friendly staff, clean, an all around nice environment. I would definitely recommend and will patronize again.Thank you, Black Cloud for a wonderful experience, my niece is ecstatic still about her nose piercing.

Came here to get my septum pierced and this is what I walked out with. Originally when I first inquired about the price at the front desk the worker told me it would be $70 altogether, $60 for the initial piercing and $10 for the jewelry. After I got the piercing done the manager was at the front desk and informed me it would actually be $94. Honest mistakes happen but when I inquired about the conflicting prices I was met with an instant sour attitude from her, she snapped at me rudely about the price and I ended up paying and just left. I returned two days later to inquire about getting this botched piercing out and asked about also receiving a refund. Again, I was met with instant attitude as she rudely snapped at me that she could remove my piercing, but wouldn’t give me a refund. I did not want her anywhere near my fresh piercing with her unprofessional attitude, so I just left.I’ve heard they’re much better at the matthews location.

Dame pierced my nose and my daughter’s industrial. He was extremely professional and thorough. He explained the entire process to us, and also wrote down more instructions for cleaning and aftercare. We will definitely be going back for any future piercings that we will be getting.

Emily travels to many locations around Charlotte and mathews! She did not disappoint :) very happy with my ear cartilage piercing and will get the second one in a few months!

I recently got my first Daith piercing for migraine and, unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. I was quite nervous since this was my first piercing, but the piercer offered no greeting or reassurance, which made the experience less comfortable. There was a noticeable lack of communication, and I had to ask for aftercare instructions myself. On a positive note, the receptionist was welcoming and informative, which I appreciated.

Yesser was delightful and did a great job. He even offered me his number if I had any questions afterwards. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect experience for my daughter’s first piercing! Black Cloud was clean and the staff were extremely friendly. My daughter was nervous, but the staff helped calm her and made the experience fun and exciting. We will definitely be back!

Exzavior did such a good job on tattooing my twin and I. He ensured we felt comfortable during the tattooing process and his lines are are ridiculously clean. He is very talented. Exzavior did a fine line botanical tattoo on my thigh 4 days ago and it is healing beautifully. He also did a quote on my twin sisters thigh. both tattoos were finished in roughly an hour and he charged us reasonably. He is clearly dedicated to his pieces and made me feel very comfortable throughout my experience at Black Cloud, would highly recommend him!!

Each time that I come here, its always a pleasant experience. The customer service is always there and so is the professionalism. Though I can only speak for my piercing experiences, Im sure that if one decides to get a tattoo here, they will also have a wonderful experience.

Came in as a walk-in and was able to taken care of quickly. I pierced my ears, double forward helix on one ear and daith on the other. The piercer was professional and communicated the process well and made me feel comfortable. Truly appreciated the experience and would definitely come back

The entire staff was absolutely amazing. My first tattoo after 50yrs and they made my experience fantastic. Great artists, I dreamed of a design and they made it just as I dreamed. They were efficient and really clean. My tattoo looks great, and I’m thinking of getting another.

We got our 2nd piercing here! Jeremy was professional as usual! The mall however, didnt have the air working and it was a hit box in there! Not this establishments fault, but def something this establishment needed to address with their landlord.

My tech was great, cant recall her name now, but she took good care if me and took the time to be sure the piercings were well aligned and painless as possible. Thanks so much!

Atmosphere was amazing! There was a bit of a line at first but whom I believe was the manager pushed them right on out!! She was very quick and informative on what I needed to do from getting my piercing to taking care of it! She was awesome!

Called prior to driving 30 minutes regarding a piercing. I was told we would need to arrive prior to 30 minutes before the store closed and they only take walk-ins. I confirmed that if we came today (Sunday), arriving by 5:15 would be sufficient. I was told yes. Arrive at 5:15 to be told, they didn’t have “any more tools” and we could come back tomorrow. Glad that wasn’t shared when I called 🙄and therefore wasted my time. Not sure how a piercing/tattoo shop “runs out” of tools. We won’t be back. Taking business elsewhere

Please don’t be fooled by all the good reviews and do your research. Check every piercing before they put it in you. I can’t speak to the tattoo side but I am very upset I ever went here for a piercing. I trusted the workers here and feel like I shouldn’t have. I got my helix done here and they used a curved bar bell (which I have since learned from other piercers and online research should never be used for this type of piercing). I kept it in for over a year to heal and had an irritation bump from it. I even paid them to change out the jewelry after 13 months and they said nothing about the bump. Luckily they use cheap jewelry, that new piece fell out, and I found an actual reputable piercer in Durham (where I live now) who put in the correct jewelry. After a few months the irritation bump was finally gone. Please don’t go here and make the same mistakes I did. I reached out a couple of months ago via email for a response why that type of jewelry was used and never received a response. Please do your research and don’t go here.

Went to get my piercing put back in my ear that fell out and they wanted to charge $10. I have never been charged to get my piercing out back in . I have gotten all piercing done with them and spent money and I can’t get any help . The girl at the front was dull, lifeless, and was stand-off and rude. I will not be retiring in and I will let everyone know if the poor service from your associate . Maybe if she more pleasant I would have paid the $10

I’ve been to Black Cloud once before for a nose piercing and went in today for a tattoo. Angel was beyond wonderful and was fun to work with. His line work and attention to detail is incredible. Definitely recommend seeing him!! This shop is amazing!

Im usually not one to write reviews but my experience on 3/17/24 with Lucy was not great. She was very passive aggressive and even dropped the jewelry. I came in to get a helix and when I got home I realized the back was completely off and crooked. In general I haven’t had the greatest experience at this location but the fact I had to get it taken out and repierced because she didn’t do it right the first time is unbelievable.

My daughter got her ears re-pierced after a traumatic experience. The shop was very clean and safety protocols were followed. The artist was very sweet and made my daughter and I very comfortable with the experience. Her ears have healed nicely with no issues. I will be returning for some piercings of my own.The pic is right after getting them done

We saw Dom last week for ear lobe piercing for my almost 5 month old baby girl. Dom was absolutely fantastic with her. She was kind, professional, skilled and the facility was very clean. She has also been super responsive on her IG for any questions Ive had. My babys ears are perfect and healing well. Thank you Dom and BC! Ill be back for my nose!Adding I went back to see Dom for a nostril piercing about 8 weeks from my daughters ears (they healed up wonderfully and look perfect) and it was the same phenomenal experience. The studio is clean and staff is friendly. Dom is awesome. So happy with my nose piercing! Thank you again!

I had a few tattoos done by Monea on Mon. 1/16. She was clean, professional, and sweet. She made sure I was comfortable while getting tattooed and informed me of the aftercare process. I even left with a cute aftercare kit. Look forward to having more work done by her in the future.

We had Miguel! He was amazing! I loved how he was very nice and professional! He’s very patient and He took his time to get everything exactly like how we wanted. I loved that he disinfected everything before, and in between me and my husband. We will definitely be back to see Miguel.

What an awful experience. Jess was very rude and snappy to everyone there. I felt as though we were being judged for asking questions about piercings. We were told to wait until our turn but were not asked for any information in order to get the piercing. We also felt as LGBTQAI+ we were not welcome. For some to say this place is a positive community is crazy for I feel this was not in any way acceptable. On top of this I had just seen a girl walk back in and the top of her piercing that Jess had previously did fell out. It would also not stop continuously bleeding.

Walked in wanting to get my third piercings done, and with Angie’s expertise, she helped me even out prior piercings and gave me beautiful, even results! She was so kind and helpful, I would not trust anyone but her to do my future piercings!

Kai added some piercings to myself and my 15-year-old daughter’s ears recently. She was incredibly helpful, professional, and kind. The facilities at this location were impeccably clean and aesthetically pleasing. Both of our piercings are healing very well, and look great. There was a slight hiccup with my helix piercing, and Kai immediately offered a discount. I didn’t think the discount was necessary, but I appreciated the acknowledgment and offer. Getting my belly piercing done was a bit of a nerve wracking but wonderful experience with the employee Emily. She was very kind and was very fun to be with. She checked on me throughout the whole process making sure I was okay.

I went there to meet a sweet, beautiful, one of a kind worker name jessenia. First I started having bad anxity and she calmed me down, she was so patient waited bout 20 mins for me to calm down. When I calmed down she pierced my nose and I got pale cause I freaked my self out for no reason she got me some sweet to eat and water and I sat there until I was okay to leave. She was so sweet 😍. She made me feel so comfortable and safe. when she put the needle in my nose it didn’t hurt anymore. ❤️ I’ll forever remember jessenia for her patience, and how kind she was being toward me. I sat with med tabron. I went in with an idea of what i wanted, and he delivered spectacularly. He did his homework and asked if i could let him work as an artist. I accepted, and was not disappointed. His work was amazing. He spent time.going over details and really focused on his art. I highly recommend as his service was excellent. If you get a chance to get some ink, med tabron is your guy.

I would recommend Kaylan to anyone that is on search of a piercing. She is knowledgeable, professional and super organized. She puts your mind at ease as well.

Highly recommend. They’re so nice and gentle. Personally I hate needles and shots in general. They’re so fast and gentle. I got my noses pierced and the pain I was expecting was a 8/10 but in reality it was a 2/10 didn’t hurt at all. Love them most definitely going back!!!!

I give this place 1 star because everyone in the store that I spoke to was kind. Aside from that, Im frustrated with my experience and disappointed with the service itself. I visited on 02/22/24 and paid for a jewelry change for my tragus. By 02/26, I had to return to get another jewerly change because the back end unscrewed and fell out out that same day. I requested for the same gold heart jewel and was told that is what I would receive. However, I didnt realize until I left that I was given silver. I was just happy to have a piece of jewelry so my piercing wouldnt close and left it at that. Unfortunately, not even 3 hours later, the back end fell off again. Called later that evening and was told the piece of jewelry is probably faulty so to return to get it entirely changed. I visit 02/27 and get a curved barbell rather than a flat back. I am assured that the back end will not unscrew. Few days later on 03/06, back end falls off. Now its 03/07 and the actual jewel of the barbell falls off. Each time I visited, the person providing the service was different. So, not only does there seem to be an issue with getting it screwed on correctly and/or tight enough but the jewelry is also cheaply made.

3rd piercing : ) Lower lobes pierced, then nose and recently mid lobes. Always amazing staff. Super friendly, accomodating, communcative, accurate, professional, prompt and of course sanitary.

I got my nose pierced on 2.11.24. The piercer was very nice and helpful. She explained what she was doing and made sure I was ready when she was and that I was comfortable. She told me that I can change it in 4-6 weeks, but from what I’ve read, it should be 4-6 months. They should have follow-up instructions and care information to give to their clients.

My husband and I got tattoos together. Black Cloud used their tablets to draw up our designs and get them done without an appointment. They had great customer service and they were awesome. They also changed out our teen’s septum piercing as a courtesy So we wouldn’t have to drive across town.

Frost did amazing. He made it an amazing experience and was very professional. We got matching tattoos and they’re super cute and Dainty just how we wanted.

I’ve already came and got some piercings. I wasnt happy with my experience. My helix was pierced from the back and they weren’t able to put the earring though. They tried to force it through and I was in a lot of pain 10x more than the piercing itself. The girl that pierced me ended up calling the other girl to help her where she said it should have been pierced from the front. So I had to get it repierced right then. They were really apologetic so I didn’t fuss and paid full price. My lobe piercings are uneven so I’m going to have to take one out and let it heal to get repierced. For being charged $200 for them that’s not really acceptable. They said nothing on aftercare nor did they try to sell me anything to clean my piercings with, which I didn’t think about cleaning it until I got home. And while I was at dinner my ear started pouring blood which isn’t normal. I’m just overall not very happy with my experience for how much the service is it didn’t equal out. The girls were very nice and apologetic but again I’m unhappy with my experience.

My piercer Dominique Davis was super gentle, clean, and fast with my piercing. I’m satisfied with my results i’ve gotten a 8 piercings here and i have had no problems and my healing process has been great! i 10/10 recommend if it’s your first time getting one to go here!

They make you feel so comfortable and welcomed, I came to get my industrial piercing done the woman who did my piercing was so nice all good vibes!! Went here for a walk-in tattoo yesterday and it was a great experience! The line work was awesome, tattoo was done quickly and was very well done. Definitely coming again. The location is very convenient, as it’s inside the mall and near a bathroom. You can get a tattoo/piercing and then shop - or vice versa! I recommend bringing cash for tattoos, as they don’t accept card but there is an ATM machine in the shop.

Dom was amazing! My daughter passed out after getting her ears pieced (through no fault of Doms) and she was patient and kind and very attentive. Her piercings came out great BTW. Highly recommend!

Ive never been disappointed when coming to Black Cloud. Ive gotten piercings from them over the past 5 years and have loved every single one. I went today because the stud in my conch piercing had fallen out and I wanted to get a hoop. The girl at the front was fantastic (I cannot remember her name)! Carolina place didnt have the one I wanted to she called the other 2 locations until she finally found the hoop I wanted at the Outlets. She advised that the clicker hoops are the best and explained why. Great experience!

Went to get my ears pierced for the first time and I feel bad for not tempering her name but she did and excellent job at helping me pick out which ones to get and did and amazing job piercing my ears!

I went here last week on Monday to get my septum pierced, and I have a low pain tolerance and was very hysterical but I appreciate the patience that the lady had with me … I made sure to leave a tip!

Dom is so friendly and chill, she really put us at ease and knew what she was doing. Everything was clean and the piercings for me and 2 friends were quick and relatively painless. Couldn’t have asked for a better first piercing experience!

I got my helix done here and am having to take it out a month later. After it was done I got told my multiple people that I had the wrong bar put in. So I went back less than two days later to have it swapped. They refused and said it was their shop policy to use this and I was stupid enough to trust them. It started to develop a bump a week ago. And today I had it checked my another piercer who said that it had to come out. He told me the wrong jewelry had been used and that was a huge reason for the bump/keloid that was developing. He also said I was not the first person to come to him from Black cloud with this issue. I’m super upset and in a lot of pain. Please be careful coming to this shop.

I went to get my very first tattoo here and the service was awesome. They took the time to listen to what I wanted and how I wanted it. They were very clean and detail oriented. I absolutely love the tattoo that I received from here. Great place to visit for a calm first experience.

I’ve come to this location multiple times for both tattoos and a nose piercingand I honestly find it to be the best out of all the Black Clouds. All the staff are friendly and ready to help you with whatever you’ve come by for. Andrew is an astonishing artist with great skills, lots of experience, and an extremely friendly attitude! I got my navel piercing done there and couldn’t be happier with the service I received! Lucy and Amanda were phenomenal and did such an amazing job, I never had a good piercing experience until now. We came in at 642 PM. They said they close at 7. I told her it’s 642, she looked and started shaking her head and said you can talk to my boss.This girl must have amnesia because we dealt with this same girl who was nice for a previous visit, and we came back for another piercing and I witnessed a whole personality change for a second visit and was flat out rude.SMH.

Camilo was amazing! He was super kind and communicated the whole time to make sure I got the tattoo I wanted. The establishment was very nice as well. If I were to ever get another tattoo I would go back to Black Cloud hands down.

It was spur of the moment to get my nose pierced and they were recommended. They were welcoming, very informative, as well as helpful. I can’t remember her actual name but K was extremely thorough, quick, and gentle. She made the process very easy and painless, for me. Shop is very clean.

My experience here was GREAT!! I didn’t catch my piercer name but she was amazing. I went to have a precious nose piercing reopened but when she seen where it was she recommended moving it up. The new location she put my piercing is amazing. She explained the aftercare processing and even asked if i had any questions. I would recommend this shop a million times. I walked in with no appointment on a Saturday and the wait was little to none. They were extremely patient with us knowing me and my little sister were nervous and they sanitized the chairs throughout our time. I came here before looking to get an industrial piercing and I was happy with how honest they were instead of just seeing me as an opportunity to make more money. My 16 year old daughter had her ears pierced for the first time. She wanted 3 piercings in each ear but the knowledgeable people at Black Cloud encouraged her not to as her body would fight having too many piercings at once. They certainly had our best interests in mind and answered all of our questions patiently yet thoroughly. I will definitely be back.

Me and a friend came and got piercings yesterday and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I got my conch, rook, and Ashley done. We didn’t get the girls name but she did a phenomenal job. Answered any questions we had and made sure we didn’t have any concerns. Made sure we were 100% satisfied with the placements before going forward and then talked threw the whole process as she was doing it. Will definitely be back to get more done in the future.

Last Wednesday I got the Daith piercing.I have major anxiety and Amanda was great. I was a bit nervous even though I have many piercings in my ear. She and another girl I dont remember her name was so sweet and talked through everything they did and made me feel comfortable. Even told me I can contact anytime even after hours if I had any questions or need anything. Very Very professional. Im considering another piercing but havent decided what yet. Thank you so much.

After researching extensively, we chose Dom at Black Cloud to pierce my daughter’s ears. WONDERFUL decision! Due to hectic work schedules, Saturday was the only day we were able to do this, and I was worried about what the wait time would be with an antsy infant. However, Dom was able to get us back extremely quickly, despite the crowd that was building, and took her time to ensure the placement was perfect. Even though we were there during one of the busiest times for the business, we weren’t rushed at all, and my husband was able to hold our daughter in a “bear hug” facing him so that she felt as secure and comfortable as possible. Dom was extremely quick, confident, and efficient, and had the ear pierced perfectly in no time at all, gave clear instructions for after care, and gave us her card and contact information, encouraging us to contact her with any questions/concerns that came up. Went on a Saturday to get a Madonna piercing. They were crowded, but it took less than 15 min to fill out my paperwork and get called back. The tech that did my piercing was knowledgeable and calming. I felt like everything was clean and sterilized. I will definitely be back when I want another piercing or tattoo.

I felt so at ease and taken care of! I got my nose pierced and it was my first piercing since getting my ears done at Claires when I was 15. This was a MUCH better experience than that! Highly recommend. Alex was amazing!

My daughter and son both got piercings and it was flawlessly done and quick and easy. They made both of my kids comfortable and I felt all the staff were extremely patient and cool to be around. Definitely will be getting future piercings and possible tattoos here.

I got my tongue pierced here and the staff was incredibly welcoming and nice! They gave me instructions on how to care for my piercing and I was very glad that my tongue was checked thoroughly before getting it pierced. My artist was Dom and she did a phenomenal job!

We had a great experience, both of my daughters got different ear piercings. They did great and had great support and instructions for my girls. I think the only negative would be the jewelry prices not being more specific when you ask about pricing.

Oh my gosh. Me and my sister got piercings here together. I got a septum which was the worst pain I have ever experienced in my entire life. Id rather get my entire body tattooed then do that ever again.A young girl did it. She stuck the needle in halfway, slowly, stopped, and forcefully pushed the last half in. I am traumatized for the rest of my life. It took everything out of me not to cry. And Im heavily tatted and have piercingsMy sister had snake bites. The first piercing she did good, the second, ohhhhh myyy God. She did the same as me, stuck needle in halfway, then forcefully pushed the other half in.My poor sister had blood GUSHING out of her piercing, covering her neck in blood. Her mouth was full of blood. This was a very horrific thing to watch. I wish I could get my money back. This was absolutely a tragedy

My piercing didnt hurt at all, my piercer was very sweet and patient. She did a great job with what little canvas she had to work with😝. In and out in about 5 mins. I will definitely be coming in for another!!

Greeted soon as walked in the check in process waiver was simple. Staff was very courteous. Amanda the technician explained everything to my daughter and I we both were comfortable. From start to finish during my daughter’s piercing process it was quick and Amanda did a great job. My daughter was very pleased and happy with her dermis piercing. Overall the visit was very nice the business is very clean and they sanitize very thoroughly. We will come back future visits and recommend to others.

Everyone here is so incredibly friendly but HUGE shout out to Dom! We had my 9 month old granddaughters ears pierced at a kiosk in the mall and one of the ears was horribly done. I didnt think she was old enough to have a needle piercing but when I asked Black Cloud (via text) what their advice would be, they said it wouldnt be a problem to take out the piercing that was done incorrectly, wait for healing, and then do a needle piercing. Dom was incredibly patient with all of my questions and my daughter and I were 100% confident that she would be able to fix it. It has been a full 6 weeks and we just left Black Cloud after getting the ear re-pierced. To tell you that Dom is amazing would be an understatement. She was meticulous when marking my granddaughters ear to be certain it matched the existing piercing on the other side and was able to salvage the ear piercing experience for my daughter (who was, of course, upset after the initial ear piercing experience). The shop was very clean and, even though we were there during a very busy time, the wait was minimal and the staff didnt make us feel rushed at all. I cannot say enough about Black Cloud and Dom!!

Mari is absolutely amazing! If you are ever nervous or scared she is more than willing to take a few minutes to calm down after the freak out! I’ve gone back many times for the experience i get with Mari, and the outstanding service. She takes time to make sure you have the jewlery, placement, and piercing just right for your specific ears!

All of the ladies working that day were super nice and very easy to ask questions to. I have now gotten 5 piercing from this particular store and the staff are always so welcoming and very understanding to nervous/new customers. They also always make sure I have the correct cleaning instructions and products. Can’t wait for my next visit.

I have been here so many times in the past and have gotten so many things pierced and re pierced! I am prone to passing out after getting it done but as soon as I met Amanda oh my god I felt so safe and in good hands. She truly made my experience so amazing. She is so professional and friendly. Awesome experience having my 4 month old babies ears pierced by Dom at the Carolina Place location. She was super sweet and patient and did the perfect piercings. Amanda was our piercer. She did a fantastic job! My 13 year old got her tragus pierced and was quite nervous beforehand, but Amanda calmed her nerves and was so sweet and quick throughout the whole process! I swear I dont even think it took five minutes and that was the waiver and all. We will be back!

My 17 y/o daughter had a navel piercing done. She was nervous and the tech explained each step and what to expect. The experience was efficient and the location sanitary. She was also told what to expect and cleaning instructions before leaving. Took 15 minutes from submitting the online form to leaving the store. Would recommend.

I just visited your new Carolina Place location for my second ear piercings. I am concerned about the price and feel as though I was overcharged. I was initially told that the piercing itself would cost $50 and then the total price depended on the jewelry. My total with the piercing and solution was $180 and I am just not sure where that came from. I felt that piercer was very rude and did not explain things properly. I felt like it was inconvenient to her that I was there. I have had my second piercings done before and I never bled like I did today. The whole process was just very uncomfortable. I was nervous to go in anyways, and had a poor experience. I would like to know if someone could explain to me what exactly I ended up buying that made my total $180.

Took my little cousin here to get an ear piercing and it was a good experience. She was happy with their artist and they were very polite and had great communication with their customers. The piercing turned out nice and their prices werent bad either. They also had a modern version of cleaning products for her ear that was more of a spray versus the old cotton ball and cleaner that was a hassle.

Skye was patient, professional, and pleasant. She did an awesome job with my first piercing and put my anxious mind at ease. I definitely recommend her!

My daughter and I both got helix piercings. About a week after, the ball fell off of mine. I called them and they said no problem, come on in. They added a new ball without any issue. Both of our piercings are healing beautifully. Great customer service.

Dom was amazing with my 8 year old daughter who was very anxious, but wanted to pierce her ears. She was patient, kind and gentle. The front staff was also friendly and even came back to help encourage my daughter with stuffed animals, dancing, and lollipops. 😁 She finally was able to get it done and was so excited! Though they had a long line of customers, they never once rushed us or made it feel like they wanted us out of there. The studio is very clean and professional.I had a reaction to the metal a few days later. I sent a message to Dom was she was so quick to respond. Came in the same day to switch out for titanium. I really appreciated that!Will definitely be back.

No waiting to get my belly button pierced. I had a tummy tuck so had a “fake” belly button and she addressed issues I may have with it taking but I went ahead with it and love it. No pain and turned out great.

Love my new tattoo. I’m glad that it was done by Miguel, who understood that my piece meant a lot to me that I didn’t want it altered at all.
