Harley was the most patient person I’ve ever met when consulting about the designs I wanted. I have started my sleeve piece with her and ended up also getting a couples tattoo with my husband and an ear piece that I dreamed about for year? Her lines are so delicate and she’s always so gentle. 5 stars isn’t enough for her she deserves 10000!

I requested a tattoo and filled out the lengthy questionnaire and this was the response that I got.Hello there, we’re just getting back in town. I’m sorry about the delay.Unfortunately Richard doesn’t do religious themed tattoos. I’m really sorry about this and I don’t have anyone else I’d recommend.Thats okay because I couldnt think of anyone I would recommend to your tattoo shop. Very unprofessional.

Amazing staff. Stuart at the desk is friendly, thorough, and professional. My artist was Matthew Moore. Incredible talent, great table side manner, and punctual. His apprentice Brielle is enthusiastic, polite, and pretty too! Brielle and Stuart made me feel comfortable and excited about my experience. I am glad I met them and Matthew. Clean bathroom as well lol

My artist was Halle and I could not have asked for a better experience. I had previous gotten my first tattoo elsewhere and had a TERRIBLE experience, but Halle completely helped me overcome all of that previous mistrust.She spent over a month designing my tattoo and refining it to be exactly what I wanted. And come the day of the tattoo, she was extremely friendly and patient while we were figuring out placement.She was very nice throughout the tattoo and was constantly checking in to make sure I was okay and didn’t need water/breaks.100/10 experience and I will stick with her forever!!

Harley is an amazing artist! She’s very flexible with her work to make sure you get the design you want! She listens to your concerns and provides helpful insights and suggestions. She is also friendly and approachable for those of you out there who may be feeling shy or anxious about getting your first tattoo! She’s really great 10/10!

Harley is extremely professional and nice. I loved her fine line tattoos and requested a piece. I loved it so much, she has since completed four tattoos total for me with a 5th one booked in a couple weeks. I recommend Harley to anyone interested in a tattoo- her work speaks for itself. I got one of my dream tattoos here at the beginning of December, a lovely moth drawn and done by Halle. She was incredibly friendly, talked to me, joked - it was a great experience. However, a couple weeks after I had asked about a spot on my tattoo AND began talking about my next tattoo. Its upsetting because I never got a response after sending her a picture of the terrible scarring left behind that shows she didnt tattoo deep enough. The messages were deleted, her tag on my tattoo post was removed. I have waited two months almost to receive a response in case she was that busy but this is incredibly frustrating. The two branches on the bottom are really messed up and the line work at the bottom of the wing doesnt even line up.. I really loved the tattoo when I got it but not getting a response or having the decency of a good tattoo artist to respond or take responsibility about the poor technique is very upsetting.

Harley Lane was wonderful. She was so sweet and made me feel right at home. The space was clean and her line work is amazing. I’m so excited about my tattoo and I can’t wait to schedule my next one with her!

Kenneth is absolutely the best, although hes the only one Ive been to there I can tell that theyre all amazing, my tattoo of my sons name only cost me 80 then for my touch up he added some bad ass shading around it.

I’ve worked with Richard Hart for 10+ years & followed him across each shop he has worked in. He is the best portrait artist in the state & really rises to the occasion with challenging pieces while providing thoughtful consultation & expert medical safety knowledge. He is a professional & his work speaks for itself.Additionally, Rougarou has the best booking system & follow-up/reminders for making appointments that I’ve ever encountered in the tattoo world. Text the number, send the deposit & you’re locked in—none of that chasing around that is the awful norm with a lot of shops/artists. I cannot recommend Richard & Rougarou more highly.

I had a really wonderful experience getting a custom tattoo done at Rougarou. The staff are very professional and are accommodating to changes and modifications to your design ideas. James is a great artist and very detail oriented re placing my stencil to make sure it was just right and perfectly centered on my shoulder. The level of fine detail work in the tattoo itself also sets Rougarou apart from other tattoos I have seen. The line work and shading is fabulous. It is in a great location and very clean. If you are looking for a new awesome tattoo and a great experience dont hesitate to stop by.

Went to this shop for the first time to get 2 tattoos done by Halle their amazing apprentice. The entire experience was great from start to finish. The appointment booking process was so easy and Halle was super nice and understanding when I asked to switch one of my designs before the appointment. Couldnt recommend this shop enough, super clean and super professional.

I will forever go to The Winchester Tattoo company for any of the pieces I want. Matthew Moore did my tattoo and he did an excellent job. He is very welcoming and gives you exactly what you want (and makes it look great). The shop itself has a great feel to the environment. I requested an online consultation and received an extremely fairly priced quote within no time. The whole process was quick, easy, and I feel like you can’t beat their prices for the quality of work they put out. Matthew was my tattoo artist. He was professional, friendly, and very talented. I told him the general idea of what I wanted and let him take the reigns on the rest. I love my watercolor paw prints from my cat that passed away in the fall of 2020. I am already planning to go back for a second piece with Matthew. I’ve also recommended their shop to a couple of my friends.

Saw an ad on Google for it. The parlors where I live dont pay nearly as much attention to line work and detail (from friends experiences) thought Id give this place a go for my first tattoo. Best decision ever! James did my tattoo and I absolutely love his attention to detail , it came out so much better than I pictured it!! He was very funny and relaxed so I really enjoyed the process. I wasnt nervous about the pain since Ive always had a higher pain tolerance. However he definitely eased me into it to get me used to the sensations and I seriously appreciate that. Definitely was very gentle. The dyes in the ink he used were vegetable based and I think it sits so nicely in my skin! After 3 hours when I took off the bandage the redness was completely gone too. Definitely going back to work on future tattoos! And sending all my friends this way.

I just got inked by Matthew Moore and he did an absolutely wonderful job. The work is beautiful, He has a light hand in tattooing and is very fast. He also has a really steady hand so his line work is on point. Matthew is a great artist to bring an idea to and let him do his thing. I did that and now have a little bit of magic on my wrist. All of the staff were helpful and the artist I worked with (James) was great. I came in with a sketch and he cleaned it up and added some awesome color details. The tattoo’s price was comparable to other color tats I have gotten elsewhere.Very happy with the new ink and with the service provided by The Winchester.

My husband and I moved to Baton Rouge about two years ago from Colorado. We’re very selective about who we trust to do our tattoos and since leaving Colorado we just hadn’t found a place up to our standards of quality work, professionalisms and cleanliness... until ROUGAROU COLLECTIVE. The owner was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Shop was bright, open and clean. James was my artist and although I wanted a pretty simple tattoo he made sure the detail was exactly what I wanted. During my brief session my husband spoke with Matthew about a more detailed piece he is looking to get drawn up. We were both very impressed by the entire staff! Will definitely be back and recommend this shop to anyone looking to invest in their art. You get what you pay for and this is the place you wanna spend your money! Cannot say enough good things. Love this shop!! My boyfriend was the one who originally found the shop when doing research for his arm piece. After seeing how beautiful his turned out, I made an appointment to see Richard Hart about doing a thigh piece. We had a consultation and then the tattoo appointment was scheduled for the following month. Richard was phenomenal. He provided suggestions for improving my sketch without removing any of the primary features I wanted. He and the entire staff we warm, welcoming and wonderful. The finished piece that Richard created for me is so gorgeous. I couldnt be happier with the final outcome. This shop has some of the best artists Ive seen and I will definitely be returning for my next tattoo. Ill put it this way...I live in New Orleans where there are a million tattoo shops that I could go to, however I will continue to make the drive to Ponchatoula when I decide what my next tattoo is!

I am so happy with the tattoo I had done with Katie Palmer at The Winchester. I had a fairly detailed back piece done that took several sessions, and Katie made sure that I was getting exactly what I wanted every step of the way.I was also extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the shop and the friendly staff. I spent a good chunk of time there over several sessions, and everyone who was working while I was there made sure to chat with me and offer me water or make sure I was comfortable. Even though I now live an hour away, I will gladly make the drive to Ponchatoula for the quality service and artistry at The Winchester.

I love this shop! The first time walking in was in laughs because I decided to pull the door instead of push. Stewart was so welcoming and knowledgeable for any questions I had. My cousin and I decided to go back to get her first tattoo and to consult about mine. Matthew ended up doing hers and then somehow I decided to get a matching one. Fast forward a month or so our friend went in and got her first tattoo and then now I was able to start my process with Katie. This shop is so welcoming, funny and clean. I always recommend them when wanting to get a tattoo.

Matthew Moore did my tattoo last Thursday for me and It was my first ever! I asked for a realistic dragonfly with a circle of text (on my right back shoulder)and he did an amazing job. He was patient and spoke with me the whole time and before I knew it the time had passed by and my tattoo was finished. Today I got my very first tattoo! I chose The Winchester after seeing the amazing tattoo my roommate got from there (Kenneth). I was super nervous when I walked in, but was quickly put at ease by the friendly/funny guy behind the counter (so sorry I forgot his name). I was lucky enough to get Kenneth as my tattoo artist! I gave him a general idea of what I wanted and he quickly sketched up a gorgeous custom tattoo that I LOVED immediately. Kenneth made sure I was comfortable the entire time and was really easy to talk to. He was super professional and extremely talented and I am so beyond happy with my wonderful tattoo! On my way out, the awesome guy behind the counter gave me detailed instructions on how to care for my new tattoo (with printed out and highlighted instructions!). If you are thinking of getting your first tattoo or looking for a phenomenal tattoo artist in a super clean and friendly environment, you need look no further than The Winchester. I seriously cannot recommend them enough!

Got my first tattoo this week and was SUPER nervous. I had heard nothing but wonderful things about Rougarou Collective so I knew where I wanted to go. I was greeted with smiles and reassurances that it would be a wonderful experience. James did an absolutely amazing job of talking me though the process and explaining everything. We talked and joked the entire time and when he was finished I was amazed!! 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend!!

Im in the process of constructing an arm sleeve, and got my first session done by a very worldly Irishman named Matt Moore.Aside from being exceptionally artistic, this guy provided a confident atmosphere that seemed to have been missing from many of my previous tattoo sessions. Absolutely recommend him to anyone.The shop is very well kept, and emits a vibe that seems to perfectly balance relaxation and professionalism. Top notch place.

I have been to many tattoo shops, Winchester by far the most professional with the best artists. On time with the appointments and straight to work when you get there. The best atmosphere and people there make you feel like you have been going there for years. I went to finish my cover up from 10 years ago and already a couple of sittings from other artist. A very dedicated Matthew Moore made my piece look like I just went in there for the first time. I will be back to finish the rest of my blank canvas, you only have so much skin so get it done right the first time at Winchester. I know I will from now on.

Ive gotten 3 tattoos from here, one from Kenneth, James, then Katie. I am satisfied with all of my tattoos, especially the one from Katie. Katie tattooed me & my friend and we had an amazing experience. She helped me with the placement of my tattoo and even gave my tattoo a super unique twist. A truly phenomenal shop right in downtown Ponchatoula! All the tattooists here are so talented. Five star earned! I requested a tattoo appointment Tuesday on their website, within two hours they responded with such an amazing attitude! The man I talked to on the phone was so kind, helpful, and actually was very excited to talk about the tattoo I wanted! We set an appointment so quick! The next day I was seen for a free consultation. While I was waiting I got a look around and being an artist for so many years I just want to say that at this company everyone is extremely talented! I study a lot of art, and I know good tattoos when I see them. Also,my tattoo artist, Kenneth, was amazingly really sweet and so helpful. He was connected with me about my tattoo, answered all the questions I was curious about, he knew automatically what he could do to the design to fit my personality, he explained everything in great detail! The day of the appointment was even better. I walked in extremely nervous..they told me I would do just fine and that it is worth it. Its good to know they care so much about their clients, you can tell automatically how such a great business it is! Great price also for the size tattoo I received! Great environment! All in all it was such an amazing experience! It was my first tattoo and I already know Ill definitely be coming back! So I recommend this company for anyone who is wanting a tattoo and isnt sure on where to go! So five stars to this company and thank you for such an amazing tattoo!

My husband and I went into rougarou collective to get tattoos for out 21st anniversary. We did a consultation a week prior and set up appointments. Stuart called to confirm our appointment and when we got there the stencils were ready to go no waiting. The artists got straight to work on our tats. I love the fact that they treated us as if our time was valuable too. The work done is outstanding , clean shop , good people , most professional tattoo shop I have ever been too ! We will definitely be going back !

Ive been to many tattoo shops in the Hammond-ponchatula area Id have to say The Winchester is the best. The tattoo artists are amazing, as well as the front desk.The atmosphere is pretty chill and friendly. Katie Palmer free handed me a water color background and turned my piece into a masterpiece, it looks beautiful and Im very happy with the overall experience. Ill definitely be going back for many if not all of the rest of the work I want done. Whether this is your first time or hundreth go to this shop you wont regret it.

After a lot of research and harassing my friends and co-workers for recommendations, I settled on Rougarou for my first tattoo. James did a fabulous job from start to finish. I showed him a photo and explained how Id like to change a couple of things. When I showed up for my appointment, he had it drawn out and it was exactly what I had pictured in my mind. He was patient and took the time to explain the process, knowing it was the first time for me. I couldnt be happier with the results and it is healing beautifully. The shop itself is clean and organized, and I felt welcome and comfortable the entire time.

Rougarou Collective is by far the best custom tattoo shop in the Northshore area! Extremely clean, great customer service and located in the heart of downtown Ponchatoula. I highly recommend the tattoo artist James C., all of his work is amazing, he works quickly, and makes sure you’re comfortable during the whole tattoo process. This shop also provides cosmetic tattooing by their artist Meagan, who I also highly recommend. I had my eyebrows microbladed by her, and was very happy with the result! Definitely check this shop out for any of your tattoo/ cosmetic tattooing needs!

Matt did a fantastic job of fixing a tattoo that was poorly done by another shop and looked terrible after 9 years (look for the dragon pic). I can’t wait to get back and have more work done by him. Not only is he an incredible artist, he’s a hugely friendly and sociable guy with a story that everyone should hear. 5 hours and 30 minutes flew by!Shop is clean, and thoroughly professional in all they do. It’s tucked away in quiet little Ponchatoula but it’s absolutely worth the drive up out of the cities to get inked there. Can not recommend enough.

I was on the waitlist for Brielle for 5 MONTHS! And she cancelled on me THE DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT. After I took off of work and paid a 50 dollar deposit. Also, after sharing my experience, multiple people told me how unprofessional she is and how she cancelled on them as well. I wish I would’ve known this before waiting 5 months for a simple spine tattoo. She is ridiculous and so unprofessional. A complete waste of my time, I could’ve had a full day of work. I cannot speak for the other artists but Brielle will WASTE YOUR TIME! 10/10 do not recommend. ALSO… she was seen posted on Instagram with no “fever” that she claimed to have…

Matt was my artist. This was my first tattoo and it was also a memorial tattoo, he did an amazing job and was completely understanding and made sure that I was comfortable and didnt rush me through and the care that the rest of the staff shiwed really made me feel good.
