I had an excellent experience at Island Ink. The shop was clean and welcoming, and the artist, Squinty, did a fantastic job with my tattoo. Their skill and attention to detail were impressive, and the staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality work in a great environment.

Amazing, 4 of us walked in and decided we were all getting a tattoo. He was a cool dude and did all of our tattoos and loved him. So accommodating. Very clean inside as well!

Wish I had caught the gentleman’s name but Monday night 7-22-24 me and some friends stopped by the shop for some ink. My friend got a cross with a rose to cover an old cross, his wife got her first tattoo a simple cross, and I got the tattoo pictured. The artist worked very quickly and was very nice professional and funny.

Went in with my little cousin to get henna for her and like the vibes so came back to Leilani to get a couple tattoos done because we were impressed with the henna and she did an amazing job for me and my dad 10/10 would recommend

If I could give 0 stars I would.Tonight was our last night in Port A and my moms birthday. She wanted a simple beach tattoo and Vega seemed to have a good rating so we went with him. We walked in and he was immediately rude. He then kept saying things that were sarcastic and rude but we just brushed it off. There was a customer there in front of us so we asked ABOUT how long it would take so we could come back, he says an hour and a half. We come back an hour and a half later and when we walked in he happened to be wiping the tattoo he was doing and I thought he was done- I said “you said an hour and a half and it’s been exactly that!” meaning wow that was perfect timing. Well he wasn’t done yet and thought I was complaining that it had already been an hour and a half and his response was to just flip me off. It took me and my mom by surprise, honestly I was just so confused. My mom tried to clear things up and he then says something about her being disrespectful for being in the customers space while she’s paying for her time. This man literally flipped me off for one comment that he misunderstood.We will never try coming here again, and honestly I should have read all of the 1 star reviews before coming because that’s not someone I would want to be in the presence of.

Vega is a great tattoo artist, he did my chucky and my husband’s tattoo as well. We did not plan any tattoos while at the beach but hey here we are Vega did an amazing job and always made sure if I was doing good while he was tattooing me. Will come back for some more ink with him 🖤

Wife and I wanted to get new art and after looking through several shops galleries on the island we decided to give Island Ink a call. Spoke with Vega on the phone and knew this was where we wanted to go. He is an absolute character. Hilarious and personable dude. They were accepting walk ins and we met with Vegas brother Chris. My wife explained that she was nervous due to the shape of her piece being lettering on a circle and Chris professionalism and demeanor immediately reassured her. He knocked it outta the park on both of our pieces. 10/10 experience.9️⃣9️⃣9️⃣

This is the only shop on the island that does what they want. They closed at 9 pm even though they advertised being open until 3am. The tattoo artist that was inside was a complete prick. I just wanted to make a appointment before I left the next day. I’ve used this shop for a few pieces(I get a new one every time I’m on the island). He has never been my artist. And honestly I’m so glad. Sadly I won’t be using the tattoo shops on the island anymore. I’ll just drive back into Corpus Christi, to an artist who actually cares about their customers.

Me and my crew had the best time getting inked by Vega (aka: Daddy) today. He was so welcoming and we had some big laughs. We’ll be back, even just to pop in and say hi. Thanks for the fun and for the memories!

VEGA LOZANO’s talent is beyond amazing. I am absolutely 💯% satisfied. This is my first tattoo and it’s also a memorial tattoo for my son who passed away 5 months ago.He took the time to design exactly what I was describing and made sure I was completely satisfied. I had an amazing experience at Island Tatoo last Thursday, March 14th, 2024. Duchess created a masterpiece that she tattooed on my left arm. It is an owl with green eyes and it is perfection. I had come from Shark Attack, where they had refused to work on me, insisting that I make an appointment for the following day. Please go on Shark Attacks website and read the negative review that I left concerning them. I never even leave reviews, good or bad, but was lead to leave these reviews after my experiences at both places. I spoke at length with Vega , Chris and Duchess as Duchess tattooed me. My husband just died October 27th and I was on vacation at Padre Island. My friend wanted to come to Port Aransas for the tatoos and I am so grateful I did. I highly recommend Island Tatoo for all your Tatoo and piercing needs.

We had an appointment at Shark Attack, but the artist was late and then super rude, so we left and just walked in to be welcomed by Vega aka Daddy. He was very welcoming and did a great job! We showed up unannounced at 4:30pm and he worked on everyone until after 11 with little to no break. Thank you Daddy for accommodating us and helping us make memories!

I absolutely love my experience at Island Ink Studio! Our artist was Vega and he was wonderful. From his welcoming and joyous personality to his speedy yet beautiful work. The atmosphere was very clean and cozy. There was tons of beautiful art to look at as you waited a short time for your turn as we were walk ins. I will be traveling for tattoos now on!

Vega is awesome. Super chill and did some great work on us. We originally tried Shark Attack but we were greeted there with absolute disrespect and rudeness. So we wandered over to Island Ink feeling discouraged, but Vega was open to our ideas and made us feel welcomed. Will definitely come back.

Vega is awesome! I walked in with a vague idea of a basic tattoo and he made it 100x better. He fit in so much more detail than I was expecting in such a small piece. I loved it so much I stayed for a spontaneous second tattoo! I will definitely be back next time I’m in Port A.

I got tatted by Vega today in a spur of the moment decision before leaving Port A and I couldnt be more in love with my tattoo! We walked in the first time and the environment was just so welcoming but of course we were just looking around at the moment and decided to check out shark attack tattoo immediately did not like that environment so when we went back and decided to get a tattoo we went with Vega and again the environment was just so welcoming very friendly he helped us trying to figure out which tattoo we wanted to get since my husband and I were very indecisive he even took the time to draw out what I wanted and I absolutely loved it we had a very fun environment with both him and the lady there. Im definitely not one to give reviews but his was very well deserved

Id have to say Vega was holding it down by himself. Super cool guy, hilarious. I came in with my cousin to get our noses pierced. We did appreciate his patience in trying to squeeze in several walk-ins but seemingly typical for this time of year. Our piercings were pretty straight forward. My only suggestion is discussing aftercare instructions. I know how to care for a new body piercing however my cousin does not. That would be my only reason for 4 stars otherwise a great place!

We went down to Port A for a little vacation and on the last night we decided I wanted a tattoo, and my friend wanted an ear piercing. I am in love with the tattoo we decided to do. I came in with some Pinterest idea of course but with a some brainstorming from the artist he came up with a beautiful tattoo. I would definitely recommend to anyone that needs a tattoo. I found the “owner” Vega to be very sexist, continuing to make multiple flirtatious comments knowing my friend was a minor. Over shared on his personal life (prison, girlfriend, other women he sleeps with). Overall really unprofessional, would not recommend to anyone, and will not be returning.

Walked in for a tattoo with my husband. Vega was patient of what I wanted as a tattoo and he put a special memory of what I had in mind forever to life with his art! My original posting, I gave one star and I really vented with a long post.Then I took a step back and realized that was not fair as everyone goes through their battles so I deleted it. With that being said the tattoo artist and I didn’t click and I got offended with his mannerisms. I got a little tiny wave with some color and it was about $100 which I thought was a little over priced but I love my tattoo. The place was very clean!

A few days ago while on vacation i got a flaming skull done by duchess & i love it SO much!! it’s perfect! she was so reassuring & overall amazing during the entire process. i felt very comfortable with her & would 1000% come back to get more tattoos in the future. ♡

Vega was personable and easy-going. I felt comfortable the entire time! He recommended the red ink, which is my favorite part about my tattoo. My friends and I had a fun time getting tattooed by him and we would recommend him to anyone in Port A!

I take back my previous review. While the shop energy was great, I believe that the piercer may not have all of the experience and knowledge needed to do certain piercings.Turns out after one week of having my nipples pierced, they started to get embedded into my skin! He used a 16g eyebrow barbell instead of the usual 14g straight barbell. This is not only too small of a gauge but it’s the wrong shape for the nipple, it left no room for swelling so my skin literally started swallowing the jewelry. If I hadn’t been smart enough to either take them out or go to a reputable piercer then I possibly could have ended up having them surgically removed. Just please be aware of what your piercer is putting in you. Yes, everything was sterilized properly but perhaps do your research first to know what gauge and jewelry style is best for your new piercing to save you time and money in the future.

Its our last night in Port A and we chose Island Ink Studio to get mother/daughter tattoos and its my daughters 21st birthday. Google shows their open, the front door has an Open sign in window but the doors are locked. We called and not only did no one answer, they havent even set up their voicemail. I posted this because people need to know they cant count on this place to be open just by checking online.

The two guys in there were awesome best experience and put the tattoo on all my live streams!!! I run 20+ Supercuts and they customer service was a 110%

This man was the worst business owner I have met in a very long time…customer service was horrible and my credit card was charged incorrectly!!! I was charged $129 for this, and he tried to charge my boyfriend $50 just for a leg shave(small) area. He was rude and unprofessional!!He also didn’t ask for my ID to prove I’m 18. Nor did he get me to sign consents.Vega was the tattoo artist

We started out by him showing me his guns, and I dont mean muscles. Ive never had a tattoo hurt this bad when getting or even 2 weeks later. Take a good look at the tat lines are crooked color is inconsistent. That is supposed to be a star? And really that is not the shape of texas. Bad decision on my part. When he said he was really high guess I should have left. Life lessons. Would fear ever going back!

Vega came out to try to get us to come in, which we were highly considering until he said that my friends girlfriend could get it and that he would give my fiancée and her his 12 inches when they came by. Ridiculous and extremely unprofessional. Lucky he walked away quick.

Stopped by to get a simple Roman numeral tattoo. They told me it would be an hour or so. I asked if I should put my name down or something. They said no, just come back. Came back an hour later. Told me it would be 45 minutes. Asked again if I should put my name down. They said no, just come back. Came back later and they didn’t have time for me. Not professional, and should have given me an appointment for my tattoo that they said would have taken 10 minutes. Needless to say, I didn’t get my tattoo.
