My mom and I decided to get matching tattoos while in Port Aransas on vacay and we had the best experience. I messaged Squinty and he was quick to respond and very flexible to work with our schedules. The apt it was a pleasant experience with great customer service. Squinty talked to us the whole time and distracted my mom from the pain. Hands down would come back.

I had an old tattoo that was an incomplete outlining of a phoenix. I spoke with Mark and the work he did was amazing. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the other artists there are extremely talented, helpful and friendly. Just an amazing group of people. Thank you again Mark for bringing life into an outline. I look forward to getting more artwork done by you when I return.

This is one of the best tattoo shops I have ever been to while on vacation, and I’m a huge fan of “permanent souvenirs”. Squinty (stylist) and Leilani (apprentice) were two of the best people I have ever met in a tattoo shop. They love to banter with their customers and truly enjoy what they’re doing! I got a henna tattoo by Sabrina and she was very flexible on when I could get it and communicated very well. The work space was professional and she did the exact picture that I wanted for my henna tattoo. I totally recommend her if ur in Port Aransas or anywhere near by. I love my henna tattoo and would definitely go back! (first pic is a couple days after, second is right after I got it and third is a week after.) I absolutely love it!

Five stars just isnt enough! First off SQUINTY and LEILANI are amazing.bSquinty tattooed my wife and I. He is very personable, respectful and down to earth. Gave us exactly what we wanted and was super light handed. He made us feel comfortable the whole time. Way better vibe than the place next door. Leilani was very nice she was the one that answered the phone when we called. Her phone ettiquete is what made us choose Shark Attack in the first place. She was sweet enough to touch up my wifes botched henna tattoo from another place and do a henna on my back while my wife was getting her tattoos. She was personable and patient. By far the best two people we had interactions with while in Port A. If we didnt already have children we would probably name our first born after them and hope it was twins. They rocked!

I wish I could give Shark Attack 10 stars! I went to the tattoo shop next to them in the shopping center and they were SO RUDE! I called shark attack and Squinty answered and was so accommodating and KIND! He told me to come right over and they even let my 3 kiddos hang out on the couch and color while I got my tattoo done! Squinty did an AMAZING job and gave me exactly what I wanted! If you’re ever in Port A and want to get a tattoo this is your place! Ask for Squinty because he is the BEST! Shelby came in last minute last night to accommodate me. This is what a Tattoo place should be like. Shelby is an artist first and I now refuse to go anywhere else for my Tattoos. This tattoo shop was amazing! All of the artists in here very professional. I had my tattoo done at Island Ink right next to Shark Attack they messed up my tattoo. Bobby and his other artist offered to fix mine for free even though it wasn’t there art. My boyfriend got his tattoo done by Bobby and it’s amazing (this fish tattoo). My mother in law got her tattoo (sunflower) done by Bobby also. He did an amazing job shading the flower! We are very satisfied with Shark Attack! We are already planning on going back and get our other ones done!

Shelby did my tattoo, he did amazing. I suggest making an appointment, it gets busy. Shelby was professional. He was also honest, when informing me about the risks of tattooing sunburnt skin. He saved me from having possible ugly scaring and non-saturated color. I will be returning in two weeks for color.Sabrina did my daughters henna tattoo. She was nice and understanding. Especially, when we returned 5 minutes later after my daughter touched her wet henna to her shirt and removed a line from her henna.There was another gentleman (sorry cant remember his name), he is the piercer and other tattooer, he was very nice when I asked about changing daith rings.

Other Tattoo Shops in the area but I chose Shark Attack based on the positive reviews. Shelby (Instagram: Shelby13severe) was my artist. He was personable, knowledgeable, artistic and accommodating. I was looking to have an intricate Flamingo with lots of detail put on the inside of my forearm. Shelby quoted me a fair price and helped me sort out details while providing meaningful input. He scheduled my tattoo for the next day which he accomplished in a timely and very professional manner. Thrilled with the job he did!!! I would recommend Shark Attack Tattoo and specifically, Shelby.

I went to Shark Attack Tattoo initially thinking I wanted a cover up of a tattoo on my lower back but Bobby explained the details of what a cover up would entail and that he was not willing to even work on me the evening that my friend and I went to get a tattoo. Thursday 3-14-2024. Told me I would need to make an appointment for the following day. At that point my friend and I were considering getting matching tattoos possibly on our feet but I decided I did not want a tattoo on my foot. We had my friends daughter with us and another artist gave her 2 Henna tattoos but refused to tattoo my friend. I asked if they were the tattoo parlor that was opened until 3:00am because we had Ubered from Padre Island and at the time we arrived I believe it was around 8:30 pm. Bobby informed me of their earlier closing time that I believe was around 10:00 pm. I proceeded to walk to Island Tattoo that was next door to inquire about getting a tat from them. My friend stayed at Shark Attack and paid a lot of money for her daughters Henna tattoos that only lasted a day and Bobby talked her into leaving a 60 dollar deposit to schedule an appointment for the following day. We were leaving to return home to Houston the following day. We decided that apparently Bobby needed the money more than friend and just decided to pray for him. I am very disappointed in the whole experience at Shark Attack and I did go to Island Tattoo where I had a very positive experience with Duchess with my tattoo of an owl that wraps around my left arm. So, I am very pleased with my tattoo that I received from your neighbor, of whom you should spoke badly about. I never leave reviews but I had to this time. Sincerely, Trina

He gave me his genuine feedback but didn’t make me feel pressured. He did a phenomenal job and the tattoos turned out exactly like I hoped they would! The shop was very clean. Tattoo - Shark Attack is a little Port A gem! As recommended, I went in to talk to Porter and from the get-go, the staff was really nice and welcoming, even when busy with other customers. Working with Porter was GREAT. He was VERY patient and accommodating, and sat with me for a solid 15-20 minutes at first, to really figure out what I wanted, and then took that idea and ran with it. It was definitely the kind of experience you hope for, when getting a tattoo! Sitting with him for the actual tattoo was great also, he wasnt pushy at all and was really open-minded to ideas and changes. My husband and I came for our anniversary and got tattoos. Porter did an exceptional job, was super clean and made the experience fun and relaxing. My wife and I decided to get tattoos on a whim while on vacation. We found this nice little shop not really knowing what to expect not being from Port A. We have several tattoos from several different places but this place is our new favorite. We live 7 hours away but I’ll be making the drive for more work. We met all the guys there and they were all really cool people. Porter Hall did our work and he did it mostly freehand on mine and all free hand on my wife’s. Our tattoos came out amazing beating all our expectations. I truly couldn’t say enough good things about Porter. He was professional, clean, down to earth with a great attitude that was awesome to be around. The dude can Tattoo. We went in for tattoos but came out with so much more. If you’re wanting a tattoo, I wouldn’t hesitate to trust theses guess at all. They’re fantastic!

Really great experience. Poh is a super nice guy and makes the experience comfortable. His lines are super straight and consistent and I 100% will travel to him for another tattoo. Even though three of us booked last minute, he was able to squeeze us in quickly and help us out. Super grateful for him, thankful for his skill, and will update with a photo once its healed.

While visiting Port A for my girlfriends Bday we decided to get a small tattoo together... Nothing serious or hard or detailed... Just crossing hooks with a date...It took hours to get it done. The shop is disgusting. The guy did a horrible job on our tattoos after charging way too much... the numbers are barely there after healing... The line work looks like a 5 year olds drawing and the shading is... Well... Trash!!Poorly ran business by people that dont seem to care about return customers... I will never go back and I wouldnt recommend anyone else get a HOOK there either.

Porter did and excellent tattoo on my ear. I had a faded old tattoo remnant and he free handed a heart with a semi colon and paint splashes. It turned out gorgeous.

Super ridiculously cool guy. He talked us out of some piercings because it would not be in our best interest with some beach and sun plans ahead of us before it can heal. However I very much appreciate his honesty and will be back for piercings and tattoos. Kudos!

Bobby Trep is the best tattoo artist in Port Arkansas! His line work stands the test of time. I received my first tattoo from him about 7 years ago and it still looks like it was just done. I havent had to really touch up any of my 4 tattoos I received from him. He always seem to know exactly what I want. I will not go to another Tattoo artist!

Alley was wonderful. I came in to get a tattoo for a memorial to my sister who recently passed and it was exactly what I wanted. She was sweet and professional and made me feel comfortable. The shop is in a prime location, easy to get to and so cute.

This is the best place to go if your nervous or scared to get a piercing I got my cartilage done on my ear and it took like 2 seconds tops I love the way it looked and they were super nice and respectful…. Definitely recommend this place to anyone!
