If I could give more stars I would. Alyssa pierced my nostril in May and it was the best experience. I had it pierced and let it close almost 10 years ago and hated the placement. Alyssa agreed that it wasn’t the best placement and put it in a spot that was much more complimentary to my face. She made me comfortable and welcome. She also provided me with more education on after care than any other piercer I’ve ever experienced. I don’t even live in the area anymore and will be making the trip to get future piercings as well as going to her for my kids ear piercings in the future.

I have come to Beneath the Skin for both piercings and tattoos, and they are always so great! A sterile environment that leaves you feeling comfortable and confident.Alyssa (piercer), is the best to go to for piercings, and the only one I will use 😊 She works in a clean and sterilized environment, always leaving my piercings happily helping :) She also saved one of my piercings (done elsewhere) which was not pierced properly, and this one is now healing much better. She always puts her clients and their needs first and never overcharges. I highly recommend Beneath the Skin tattoo 😃

Extremely professional, very talented artist, Olivia, worked with us to achieve the perfect mother/daughter tattoo for us. She answered all of our questions and provided us with all the info we needed before our appointment, and then again with the aftercare. We were very happy with the results and would highly recommend!

Alyssa Jamsberry is the best piercer that I’ve had the privilege of being pierced by. Just got my daith and my nose done and it’s been roughly 2 hours since I left the shop and let me tell you, neither piercing hurts at all. Alyssa did such an awesome job with the process. She’s awesome with customer service, and she’ll make sure you’re comfortable and happy which is super wicked. She’s sanitary, and on top of cleaning her area anytime it needs to be wiped down, anddddddd she’s just an all around good time and fun to talk to. You won’t be disappointed with your experience, and if you are, it’s probably your fault. Go let Alyssa put holes in your body!!

I could not have asked for a better experience when it comes to getting my tattoo done. Danielle not only heard and saw what I was looking for, but she FELT it. I love watching my story come alive through her work.The location is clean, the music is well mixed, the conversation and atmosphere were spot on.

I went here with my boyfriend to get his ears pierced and let me tell you Alyssa is wonderful. You could tell they are a perfectionist and not taking the easy way. She ensured they were straight and symmetrical and took her time which is very much appreciated. She was super friendly and the whole environment is welcoming and they are very personable. I plan to go here for a piercing of my own just because of my experience today with them. Highly recommend. Very friendly very welcoming and overall an amazing experience.

Nostril piercing 8/7. It’s healing Nd it’s perfect. Danielle walked me thru everything with full explanation. She took her time & made sure I was comfortable. Couple weeks later had to return because I forgot bout piercing wipe my face & my ring hit my top diamond out. I panicked at wrk cause my nails wouldn’t let me put the small diamond back it so called Nd spoke to Alyssa she got me in to put it back in for me & also gave me da choice to choose shorter ring because my weeks was up for a shorter bar in a day or so.

I see Alyssa for all my piercing needs and am so glad I found her. Clean, thorough and always accommodating. I’m happy with all my piercings and jewelry upgrades. Highly recommend!

Hellos! Olivia from Beneath the Skin tattoos was great to work with as an artist. We went thru 2 different design consults before the final product. Everything was custom design! So she was able to create thru an idea, which is amazing! The tat process was great, we had amazing conversation! (That does not always happen, trust me). She’s a down to earth honest person, which is why I would recommend going to her. Thru her you both can achieve the result you are looking for in a tattoo. Thank you Olivia!!!

Went in last night on the recommendation of a friend since I couldn’t get into my usual shop, and my brother got work done there years ago and it’s incredible so I thought this will be great. Yeah definitely not. While the shop is beautiful, clean, and the staff were friendly. I’m wondering if I ended up with an apprentice for a few reasons. The biggest being the lines of my very simple tattoo are awful. The line work is shakey, ink is very uneven and, details were left out. Another artist walked over at the end and asked “finally starting to do more detail work lately?” Also the picture I sent very clearly showed the specific flowers I want, well guess who ended up with the wrong flowers. Which I will take blame for since I should have doubled checked but what I did end up with is no where near what I was hoping for. Overall I will not go back, I’ll stick with my usual shop, who did amazing work on me Friday night.

I came there today to get my Percing changed and i had an appointment set . They wait until after I get there to say they don’t have the threaded ring for my nose . I was there on time and was not seen on time either . They waisted my time and was very unorganized. They should have known that before having me come there for an appointment . Not to mention I was not seen on time . I arrived at 545pm they are very unorganized and lack compassion for peoples time . They didn’t even offer a resolution for the inconvenience.

I always go to alyssa for my piercings!! she does an amazing job, is so careful and kind and gives very clear aftercare instructions. everything ive gotten done by her has ben amazing and i couldnt recommend her more !!

Eric at Beneath the skin tattoo is not only a talented artist but an all-around good person who is fun to work with. Everyone at the shop is friendly and the prices are reasonable.

I got my first tattoo 2 weeks ago. Dan was fantastic!! He answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. The shop was clean, and well organized. All the staff were friendly. The whole experience from start to finish is what will continue to bring me back. Love my tattoo!!

Alyssa is Great! She’s done 7 new piercings for me, 2 of which were Industrial bars. I didn’t have any issues with them healing. She makes you feel comfortable and puts you at ease and personally that helped with decreasing the pain when I got my 2 industrial piercings done. I will never go anywhere else if & when I get more piercings. And all the staff at Beneath the Skin are very friendly and professional. And I will be contacting them for my first tattoo!

Had a great experience at this shop getting tattoos with my son. Dan did a great job engaging with us in designing the artwork and demonstrated wonderful skill and professionalism during the session. Both my son and I are extremely satisfied with the result and will definitely visit again! Awesome shop with great people and a cool vibe!

I’ve been seeing Dan for two years now for my tattoos and I’ve seen Alyssa for a lot of my piercings! Both do amazing work and very talented! Also the shop is very clean and the environment is welcoming and fun!

I got my first facial piercing here (lip) with Alyssa- and she was incredible. Answered all my questions and soothed all my worries and explained how everything was going to happen very clearly and gave very good after care instructions. Ill definitely be coming back for more!

Brought my kid in to see Eric, Great experience. Eric took the time to get proper placement and made sure my son was comfortable. The whole vibe was relaxed and friendly, customers older than me getting ink, younger folks getting pierced. Staff was super friendly and made the whole experience enjoyable. The piercer, Alyssa, was knowledgeable, experienced, and patient with our child as they got their ears pierced for the first time. She was available for texting when we had questions or when any issues arose with caring for her ears. Definitely recommend Alyssa!

Dan was amazing & same with the overall experience! The shop was clean and very professional. I wanted a chest piece and Dan drew up a couple of different options for me to choose from and the final result was gorgeous, more than what I couldve asked for!! They do a great job of making sure youre comfortable and the pricing is very reasonable for the work you get (beautiful, clean linework in my case). Same thing with my piercing experiences here, too! I had my first tattoo with Dan and he was very friendly and created a comfortable atmosphere, while keeping it casual with conversation and checking it to make sure I was doing okay the whole time. Had an appointment at 12:30 with Alyssa for a conch and tragus piercing. I didn’t have to wait at all to be seen. She was extremely sweet and made me feel so comfortable which is rare for me socially. She did a fantastic job explaining everything, making sure I was comfortable, and my piercings are beautiful! Alyssa pierced my 6 1/2 yr olds second hole in her ear. My daughter was all anxious before we got there and she eased her down a bit. My daughter let out a few cries but Alyssa jumped right into action telling her to take breaths in and out and ensured everything will be okay. At the end of it my daughter was so pleased with her experience and even got to take home coloring pages that explain how to properly clean her ears.My daughter is obsessed with her earrings and is telling everyone about her new piercing haha! I would go back to Alyssa in a heartbeat. She was so professional and did a great job with my daughter. I’ve taken my 15 year old daughter here twice recently for piercings (bridge and snakebites) and couldn’t be happier with the service we received. Alyssa is professional, ethical, safety oriented, straightforward, and really takes pride in her work. She takes her time, making sure placement is perfect and does a great job at explaining what she’s doing while keeping the client relaxed and calm. She verified my identity as well as my daughter’s before anything else occurred. Prices are reasonable and posted clearly . I would not hesitate to go back and would recommend to anyone seeking a reputable tattoo/piercing studio.

My boyfriend got me a gift card there and booked an appointment with Dan Dull . I was so glad I did. Dan shaded and did work on a older tattoo of mine that wasn’t really done right from another company. He made my tattoo look completely different. He was very personable and made us feel welcomed. I will be using him for the rest of the work I want done. I highly recommend Dan Dull.

I have been seeing Olivia for my tattoo, so far we had 4 sessions and it’s the best experience I ever had. Personally, she is a blast to spend 4-5hour sessions with and has given me such an individualized experience. Words can explain how amazing her work is. We have a lot of work yet before we finish my entire right arm, but I get compliments daily on her work! Love to support local business and artist like the ones at Beneath the Skin!

Alyssa had an amazing “bedside manner” with my 11 year old who was getting her earlobes pierced. She was very calm and informative and answered all of our questions. She gave really good tips during the Piercing process and afterwards. She’s very great with kids, and even gives out a fun coloring book with post Piercing instructions. I would highly recommend her to anyone but especially those with younger ones.

Dan did amazing! I got 2 flower tattoos with fine line detailing and Dan was so patient and checked in with me every few minutes to make sure I was okay. The time it took and the price was also amazing!

The artist really showed her knowledge off and had a really clean and cozy space to work. Alyssa was very friendly and treat to have met. I was in and out without any hassle and was shown in detail how to keep my new piercings clean and what to do in an infection were to occur. I had my tattoo appointments with Danielle. Danielle allowed me to elaborate on what I wanted and offered suggestion and tips. She allowed me to make my own decisions with the creativity.I had a piercing with Alyssa and was educated on some of the pros and cons of different piercings, care and even a free follow-up appointment. The studio was neat and clean and the folks were friendly. The artistry is beyond compare.

A really great experience! My daughter wanted her nose pierced, a gift for her 16th. Because she was under age, we were required to bring her birth certificate and another form of ID. A parent consent form was also required along with my drivers license.Alyssa, the piercer, was super responsive via text and kept us updated as needed. The shop was cool and hip and all employees were helpful. Our appointment was for 5;30 and we were done and home by 5;45. Most importantly, it was sanitary. I definitely recommend this place!

Beneath The Skin Tattoo is always a great experience. I go there frequently and Dan Dull does great work and I always request him. If I need help with a design we always work to get it perfect and Im happy with all the work Dan has done.

My friend went in to get her cartilage piercing, and me my nostril. We both have not gotten a lot of piercings and were anxious, but Alyssa who did the piercings and greeted us at the store was so welcoming and kind. It eased our nerves completely. She clearly knows what she is doing and went at a pace that we were comfortable with. It was such a great first experience and we will definitely be coming back for future piercings along with tattoos!! Highly highly recommend

I am in the process of completing a full sleeve tattoo by Danielle. As of now we have my Forearm complete and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. She makes the whole experience very comfortable and a good time, even during the painful spots. Not only do I love my tattoos but others constantly admire them and her work of art. I have gotten my nose and ears pierced by her as well and that whole process was great. She was able to help me with the setting up the perfect post care products to help my tattoos and piercings heal properly. I would definitely recommend Danielle, but honestly the whole shop has amazing energy…a very welcoming place!

Alyssa at Beneath the Skin (“Tasteful Piercings”) is an amazing piercer and would recommend to anyone! She is super clean and meticulous so you can be guaranteed that you will get a perfectly positioned piercing as well as no risk for infection. She also does a great job at making you feel comfortable/ relaxed and calms any pre-piercing anxieties as well as educate you on proper cleaning and care afterward. So very happy with my results... she has done work on me and also many of my friends as well (all who were just as happy with their piercings) !!!

Danielle did my first color tattoo, and it was easily my best tattoo experience ever! She explained each step of the process so that I felt informed, and all of the shop staff are respectful and easy to converse with. This shop embodies everything positive about the tattoo community, and I can’t see myself going anywhere else for tattoos in the future.

Made my girls feel at ease for their fist ear piercing. Explained everything. Already booked to come back after 6 weeks so she can change out the starter earrings. So much more legit than going to a Claire’s or Sweet & Sassy.

I will probably never go anywhere else for tattoos or piercings. Everyone here is super accepting and makes you feel right at home. Alyssa gets me hyped about piercings and always gets me through even though Im terrified of them! Shes so gentle and patient. Danielle has done the majority of my tattoos and no matter what style you throw at her she ALWAYS kills it!

Alyssa was absolutely incredible! We took our daughter to have her ears pierced and Alyssa could not have been kinder. I got my daughter Violets name on my chest done by Dan Dull and I couldnt be more happy with it. I lost her 3 weeks ago and I feel like I have a part of her back with me. This was my first time ever getting a body piercing and through recommendation found Beneath The Skin and am so glad I went with them. Everyone was so nice and patient and answered any and all questions I had. My piercer was Alyssa and she was absolutely great, talked me through the procedure, explained the different options I had regarding jewlrey and made sure I was okay and feeling good through the process. Got my tongue pierced by Alyssa. She answered all of the questions I had about what to expect as well as the dos and dont. She was very professional and friendly in dealing with the bit of anxiety I had just prior to the piercing itself.The shop itself is clean and well maintained. The rest of the staff were polite. If I find myself back out here I would likely give them business again.

The piercer here is absolutely wonderful! Not only does she give excellent service, but she also priorities the customer’s wellbeing and consistently checks in to see how you’re doing. She walks you through every step of the piercing process all while distracting you from the actual pain of the piercing. When I got my septum pierced and started feeling lightheaded, she immediately gave me water, sugar capsules, and a cool towel, and kept me comfortable until the feeling passed. Beneath the Skin is my go-to spot for piercings!

My first experience at Beneath the Skin was great. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, and the artists’ stalls were clean and tidy. My artist, Dan Dull was an extreme pleasure to work with! My tattoo art felt like a collaboration, and Dan executed it perfectly. He also smells really nice, and looks even better up close. I’m so happy with my choice to go there, and I love showing off my new ink.

I had a great experience, getting my navel piercing. It was a reasonable price and less expensive then most places. It comes with after care and a sheet to take care of your piercing properly. Danielle was very nice and explained every step she took during this process. It honestly only felt like a pinch and was over with in less then a minute. Highly recommend this place only went there once and will be going back again.

I took 2 of my girls here to get their ears pierced. At 9 and 10 years old, they were a little nervous. Alyssa was absolutely wonderful. She talked them through the process, was kind and patient, and took her time making sure the placement was perfect. She also made sure they were feeling ok during the process, checking in to make sure they were handling it ok. The place was very clean and I felt very comfortable. So happy we ended up here and will for sure recommend to others!!!!I also have to give a shout out to the lovely lady at the desk. She answered all of my kids questions and was very patient when they went down the entire list of piercings, asking what they all were. This is a clean and Friendly atmosphere. My experience was with Dan Dull. He was extremely patient and was happy to discuss my ideas and share his suggestions. I cant say enough how much I love the work he did.

My husband and I wanted to get a tattoo for our Anniversary so we reached out and was set up with an artist named Dan. I scheduled my appointment with him a week in advance with text confirmation from the artist about the day and time of our appointment. Out of respect for the artist and his time, we arrive 30 minutes early to assure we are there and ready to go at 3:30pm. After waiting 15 past our scheduled appointment time, our artist was STILL not there, and we believe he walked by us to leave as we arrived.This was so unfortunate and disappointing. This review is a reflection of the artist Dan, NOT the entire shop. While waiting we saw the other artist and receptionist engaging in friendly conversation with the clients. There was a client that walked in and was greeted by her artist and taken back in a timely manner. The other reason I am frustrated and disappointed is because this was my husband’s first tattoo experience (no tattoo unfortunately because we left) and he deserves a better first experience with an artist that respects our time as well. It’s our anniversary and we have scheduled reservations this evening , and this artist Dan clearly has zero respect for his clients. He could have texted me at least and said “hey look , running a little late.” Or “sorry can we reschedule something came up.” We are very understanding people and would have accommodated , no problem ! And what caught my husband and I off guard was how surprised the receptionist was when we said our appointment was with Dan at 3:30pm. That’s when I had a gut feeling that we were about to be stood up. So to put wrap this up, the shop seems great if you are working with the other artist, but due to Dan’s unprofessionalism , this was a one star experience. Never have I ever experienced this at any tattoo shops I worked with in the past. It’s a shame because Dan’s work actually looks great, but the lack of respect for his clients and their time is little to none.

Great atmosphere and energy!! All artists are professional and attentive to their clients and their friends and families and their needs/concerns/thoughts etc. I’ve personally had experiences for tattooing and piercings with Danielle (for both) and Dan. They’re awesome, fun, kind easy going people! 100% RECOMMEND!!!

Took my daughter her for her first ear piercing. This place was great, they took the time to measure multiple times so the piercings were perfectly even. They also took their time to comfort and explain everything to my daughter to put her at ease. I will be back when my younger daughter is ready and will definitely try them for a tattoo.

Beneath the Skin is our family tattoo shop. My adult daughters, sister, cousin and myself have all been tattooed by Danielle and she exceeds expectations every time. Not only is she an absolute sweetheart as a person and super talented with the needle, she has a light touch and a calm demeanor, if you are a slightly anxious patron. She usually has a wait list but trust me, she is well worth the wait!

I had a rib tattoo done by Danielle and from consultation to aftercare instructions, I had a great experience! The tattoo was deeply personal, and Danielle handled my consultation with professionalism and empathy. She took my idea and turned it into a piece of art that was a perfect representation of what I wanted to express. Danielle continually checked on me throughout the tattooing process and made me feel comfortable. The tattoo itself is gorgeous, and I am proud to wear it. I cannot recommend Beneath the Skin Tattoo and Danielle enough!

I got my septum done here and had a wonderful experience! The shop was very cute and comfortable and the staff was amazing. I was told about the whole process of my piercing as we went through it and felt extremely comfortable. Aftercare was clearly explained to me and I left the shop happy and informed on how to care for it! I highly recommend!!

I spoke with a gentleman named Dan and he was able to help me select the artist that was right for me. Having the new tattoo jitters I was nervous going to a new shop, but once I got to meet the crew and see how welcoming and the complete level of professionalism that was shown to me those jitters quickly subsided.I never had an experience quite like this! They make you feel like part of the family and the prices are unbeatable! I left very satisfied and still think about that experience. When I had my lobes pierced, Alyssa was amazing! She really kept the pain and worry to a minimum, and was just so pleasant the entire time. After she was finished, the placement and style of piercing just looked awesome and tasteful 🤩

I do not recommend working with Danielle. I tried to make an appointment with her for consultation and she stated she would get back to me. When she didn’t get back to me I called and she was very rude and had an attitude over the phone. She stated she would get in contact with me, and once again she did not. It’s been a month.

I recently got some new ink from Dan and he did my daughters first tattoo. We went to him with ideas and he came up with some AMAZING artwork for us! Dan is great at what he does, very clean and personable.He made the experience great! Thanks!

Honestly I don’t review places much, but I walked in Saturday evening wanting a septum piercing done, they were able to fit me in the very next day! I was not expecting to be scheduled so quickly. Alyssa was friendly, upbeat, and very professional. It was my very first piercing, so as you can imagine I was scared. Alyssa made it as quick and pain free as possible (given that I got a septum piercing, there was quite a bit of pain lol) but she was attentive to me afterwards, I was very out of it from the pain and she walked me through aftercare and everything! If I decide to get another piercing, Alyssa will be my go to!

I’ve gotten 2 tattoos here both by Dan and i’ve had a great experience both times! The staff is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. The shop is also very clean and it’s a good environment.

Danielle is such a talented and patient artist that made my vision a reality. Had an idea for years, with having reference pictures and talking it through at the consultation I knew I made the right choice. During my first session she had connected with me in a way that truly meant so much. Cant wait to put the finishing touches but even the way it is, its beautiful!

My personal experience here is with piercing, they have a dedicated piercer here, which is exactly what you want if youre looking for a great piercing experience, having many piercings I can tell you someone who does it all day, rather than jumping back and forth between tattoos and piercings, in my experience makes a huge difference in streamlining the process of having the piercing done, aswell as appointment availability.Their piercer Alyssa is fantastic at her craft, extremely knowledgeable, I would 100% recommend her for doing childrens piercings aswell seeing as Ive seen her interacting with a young girl and she left after being pierced the happiest Ive ever seen a child after getting their lobes done, with her adorable little gift bag Alyssa hand packed for her with all of the necessary aftercare goodies. 10/10 will be bringing my niece to her when shes ready for hers to be done too!Thanks for what you do guys! I absolutely love it here. Ive gotten two piercing so far and now plan to get a tattoo in the near future. Is that is very down-to-earth and understanding of situations that may arise during piercing that isnt common for everyone. They are very time and put you at ease. I got my eyebrow and Monroe done here where it was the fifth time I was in my monroe done because for other piercers couldnt seem to get the job done right. I think her name is Danielle not sure but the owner or mean person is there with dark hair pierce my monroe and eyebrow pierced here and I have not had one problem with either one since I got them like 4 months ago. I highly recommend them for all your piercing and tattoo needs.

I recently had an issue with my nose piercing that I got done elsewhere. I couldn’t get the original piercing out and my nose was bleeding and red. All I did was call and they told me come right in. When I say they did everything so amazing. From helping me, to putting a new stud in. They were amazing and so sweet! Highly Recommend!!!

Visited to have my daith piercings changed and to have my nostril pierced. Had my appointment with Alissa (sp?) and she was honestly pretty great! She started by changing the jewelry in my daiths and took her time. I didn’t feel a thing! Then she pierced my nostril. She walked me through the process and explained everything she was doing and the products she was using. I can be a little fidgety so it took a try or two before she actually did it, but she got it done nice and quick. Whole process was maybe 45 minutes which is pretty quick in my experience! Would definitely recommend!

He is amazing his lines are steady he’s light handed so it doesn’t hurt as much, and he’s always adapting to what the client wants. He’ll offer advice and he is very sensitive to the clients needs. I’d recommend him 1000 times if I could, by far he’s the best tattoo artist I know.

Mike Brown provided a rework/cover up of a piece on my wrist and hand, that was not only beautiful for its clear steady line work, but also an all star level of color saturation that is parallel to artists with far more time under their belt. While at the shop the atmosphere was friendly, and the level of teamwork and communication I witnessed while at my appointment leaves no wonder as to how they run like a well oiled machine. The staff was warm, laid back, and easy to talk to, as well as, very knowledgeable in the field of various forms of body modification and after care. All in all, I would say 5 stars, 10/10. Will be going to them going forward.

Horrible customer service. Drove 40 minutes for a simple nose piercing based on a few recommendations. Hours for Sunday listed as 12:30 opening, arrived to be told piercer comes in at 1:00, OK might be nice to know that ahead of time, but we decided to wait. Biggest mistake ever! Piercer shows up, only to be grabbed at the front door by another customer, instead of acknowledging us and the fact that we were there waiting, she starts a consult with this other customer. After 15 minutes, we now need to leave, and I ask if there are appointments because I will need to come back, and now the piercer perks up to give me an attitude and tell me I need to wait until she is done is with Mr Cut the Line to make the appointment. Apparently she isnt capable of understanding that I NEED TO LEAVE, not continue to wait while she shoots the breeze with this guy about his cover up and vacation plans. So we drove 40 minutes, waited 45 minutes, and left with no piercing, and a crying teenager. Fabulous experience. Do yourself a favor and dont go here, maybe if they lose their business they will learn to treat people with some respect. Also beware of the fact that they dont answer the phone, you cant leave messages because the mail box is full, and they dont bother to post on any social media if they are closed....again completely lacking in customer service or simple respect

Last week I received my first tattoo in 14 years. The tattoo I wanted was for a memorial of my brother whose 1 year anniversary of his passing was July 17, 2014. I contacted Beneath the Skin Tattoo for a quote and spoke to Josh directly. I gave him my ideas that I was interested in and when I showed up for my appointment he made my ideas come to life in such a beautiful piece of art. I wanted to change NOTHING. I could not be happier with my experience at Beneath the Skin Tattoo. Josh had a wonderful personality and made me laugh several times during my 4 hours there. I was also very much impressed with the atmosphere of Beneath the Skin Tattoo. This wasnt your typical tattoo establishment. Everything was exceptionally neat, clean, and clutter free. Even the ladies bathroom was extremely clean! Everyone was friendly and welcoming.

Alyssa is very caring about her clients is very kind and talkative. Really attends to your piercing needs. That’s why I have two piercings instead of one and maybe more to come…

Ive gone for two tattoos now with Danielle. She is an absolutely amazing artist and Im so glad to have her work on my body. I recommend coming here to everyone who says they like my tattoos :)

Number one tattoo shop in the state garunteed, possibly in top 10 on east cost. My daughter wanted a new piercing and the last place she was taken the jewelery pushed itself out of her skin. But I go to this shop, theyre extremely professional, everything is extremely clean, every employee is very personable and welcoming, and the woman who pierced her was amazing. Every question answered immediately and all work is followed up with it needed for life!

Ive been here twice now, and its better every time! I see Dan for my tattoos and hes personable and professional. He does such a nice job! Im in love with what hes done so far. Im already thinking about what I want next!

I’ve been getting tattooed for years and Beneath the Skin is my favorite place! They play amazing music to set a fun tone, all of the artists are so friendly and funny, and the work speaks for itself! Dan completed a tattoo for me that had a lot of meaning to me due to being dedicated to my little sister. He completely blew it out of the water and came up with an idea I never would have dreamed up. If you want an amazing tattoo done by amazing people, you need to go to Beneath the Skin.

I went to get my tongue pierced there today. Very clean! Erika was the one who done it. She is super nice, answered any questions I had and was very down to earth. I will definitely go back for more piercings and tattoos!

Normally I get all of my piercings done by John at eternity tattoos. But this specific day they were already closed so I came to beneath the skin. Although the lady was very kind and kept everything sterile and clean, I was very disappointed with the placement of my piercing. It is completely crooked. It was not pierced on the dot that I had originally said okay to. There is a piece of flesh hanging from the piercing inside from being punctured incorrectly. Normally I pay $25 to John for my piercings and have no problem at eternity tattoos in royersford. Here I paid $60 for my Medusa piercing and I wish I hadnt even got it. If youre getting a piercing here I suggest you get a basic one like nose piercing or belly button. Other than that I suggest looking elsewhere.

Ive gotten multiple tattoos here all by Aleks and each one healed perfectly and look amazing. I always get compliments. I just recently went in for a piercing. This was my second piercing from here, first was my tongue which i had no problems with! Second, was my industrail. So far everything has been great! The initial piercing wasnt bad, a little pinch. Healing has been somewhat uncomfortable but i havent had a single issue. Everything is healing great! I have no bumps or pain! Great experiences here.

Im writing this review for a friend of mine since I know they wouldnt do it. I recommended beneath the skin because I have gotten all of my work done there and enjoyed the experience. After two of their top artists left it seems the business has started to quickly decline. My friend went in to speak about s small simple tattoo they were looking to get. She made an appointment and everything was good. Shows up to her appointment and the artist who was supposed to tatto her doesnt acknowledge that she is there for her appointment and instead he starts tattooing someone else. Seriously? After an hour of waiting he finally asks how he can help and she tells me she had an appointment. His response was oh I forgot. You forgot? Thats your job. You are supposed to know who is coming in, what they want and what time. Sad to see where this place is headed but I deff wont be recommending this place to anyone else and I also wont be returning.

Erika did an amazing job doing my nipple piercings. Was able to squeeze me in as soon as I arrived. Made it work cause I was not scheduled and she took the time to fit me in, and I couldnt be happier.

The owner of the shop, Joe, cares personally about the quality of the work that is done as well as the satisfaction of his customers. He enjoys seeing the progression of his staff and the work they are doing. My artist, Clarence, made a personal connection to his art from the initial consult throughout the design of the piece and even now as he applies his design. He invites customer involvement in the concept of the artwork and remains flexible to work with his customers scheduling needs. He is willing to adapt during the designing process when his customers suggest alterations to the initial concept, including changes to size, color scheme, and even adding removing elements from the piece. The open mindedness, inclusiveness and dedication of my artist as well as the owner make this shop a cut far above the rest. The picture is of a tattoo that is still in progress which was designed 3 different ways before any ink was done and although we have quite a bit left to do, I couldnt be happier with how much time Clarence is putting into giving it the dimensions of Realism while retaining some of the desired elements of an Anime piece, which is what it was inspired by.

Mike Brown did a perfect job of walking me through my first tattoo, and delivered exactly what I asked - font, colors, etc., and explained the after care several times until I understood it. Just a phenomenal experience. And the stuido is modern, clean, and well-lit. Recommended.

As much as it saddens me to say anything negative about a local business, I feel it necessary to share my experience so that others can not make the same mistakes. I went to beneath the skin almost a year ago for a belly button piercing. She did an awesome job and I thought the place was clean and professional so when I wanted a tattoo for my 18th birthday I decided to go back. I had never gotten a tattoo before so I was very nervous and confused about the process so I emailed them about a month before explaining that this was my first time and I would appreciate help in planning it. I never got a response. I called the day before and explained to someone on the phone what i wanted and made an appointment to come in. I wanted a small one word tattoo in my own handwriting so I wrote it beforehand knowing I would be too nervous at the time of the appointment. Upon my arrival I was told that the word was too small despite the fact that it was already written larger, so I had to get it bigger than what I intended. The man who did it was very shaky and the letters ended up being very wobbly. Not knowing what to do, i thought that maybe it would heal differently so I tipped him generously and waited for it to heal. Months later and my tattoo was faded in most spots and the letters looked horrible. At this same time I decided to get another ear piercing, thinking that I could get a new piercing and possibly get my tattoo touched up. I knew that the piercer’s schedule was unique so I called ahead of time to see when she was available. I was told to call back. I called back again, and was told that she would be in Sunday and to call that morning to see what time. I called again on Sunday and was told that she wasn’t in at all. I was very frustrated and ended up going to a different place because that was the only day I could get it done. I was so frustrated by these experiences because I feel like I was taken advantage of because I was inexperienced and did not know what kind of service to expect. I am sure that many other people have had positive experiences with this store, but unfortunately I did not.

Beautiful establishment. The people were very welcoming. I went to get my septum pierced and was in and out in about 10 minutes. I highly recommend!!

Got two tattoos done on Valentine’s Day, we had Dan as our artist and he did a wonderful job! I have already started working with him on another piece I want done!

I had a bad experience with one of the artist, but after I told the owner about it he was very kind and he made it right. Apparently my experience was an isolated incident although it was my first time there. All is okay now that the owner reached out to me. My advice is if you arent happy with the situation at all speak up or walk out because its a tattoo and it is permanent. Make sure you are 100% satisfied before the ink hits your skin, I learned the hard way that theres no going back once its done. But that goes for any tattoo place. like I said from what I hear this place is a good place and the owner made everything up to me he cares about his customers. I just so happened to walk in on a bad day bad time I guess.

Drove 30 mins for a piercing at 11 am. Waited nearly 30 mins. Left and drove 30 mins home. Wasted an hour and a half of my time and my gas of course. Common courtesy: someone makes an appointment and you honor it or let them know if you can’t. That’s good business practice. Won’t try this place again.

I know the review is quite late, but i just now had something spark my memory for doing it, so this is not a heat of the moment/misery loves company type of review.This isnt a review of the shop as a whole, or necessarily the artist, but only my experience.I had an idea in my head about a sleeve i wanted done. Knowing there were some shops in the area, i decided to do a little research, since im not very familiar with their work, only the names of the shops. I have a few tattoos, but they were all done out of the area when i was in the Navy.After some research, i found Beneath the Skin, and i was very impressed by some of the work i saw, and noticed i went to school with one of the artists. I wasnt expecting a discount on a tattoo or anything, but i havent seen him since 2003, so i thought itd be cool, and i liked his work.Over the phone, i set up an appointment to come in, and the atmosphere was cool. Artwork and decor was pretty awesome, they were playing Lamb of God, which i was totally cool with and it was loud! I figured, my kind of place.The artist basically asked what i wanted and set up a time for me to come in after New Years. He didnt really ask a lot of questions as to what i wanted it to look. He just gave me a quote and set up the next appointment. He said when i come back, he will be able to figure out what i wanted, draw it up and get it done. He made a mention to cancel no later than 24 hrs prior and i told him that wouldnt be a problem, im very interested in getting this work done.It seemed a little rushed and disinterested and i think my confirmation came a week or so later when he texted me 45 minutes before i was due to come in, saying something came up. Said he would get a hold of me to reschedule on monday. Yeah, it was a friday, and when i didnt hear anything on monday, i texted then called monday and tuesday, with no response.I probably could have called the shop, which was my fault, but if i had to chase someone down who probably didnt want to do the work anyway, i might not want that ink on my body.So thats MY experience and based on the reviews, it seems like a decent plalce. I however, may not be coming back.

Ive gotten a couple piercings here. I love the service and the staff is super nice, professional and clean. The music is great too. :)

Ericka was great. I got a hood piercing, which could easily have been an awkward situation, but she was professional and entertaining, which kept my mind off the pain and the awkwardness.

I will NEVER recommend or use this shop again first time was great second time great 3rd time the misspelled a word on my foot Always ok watever it happens but the fact that the apprentices was to fix it when he messed it up is ridiculous he drew it up and it didnt match the other style of lettering the owner should have stepped in or a lead artist and delt with it but instead i paid another shop to fix it and now im happy it all happened cuz i ended up at the best shop on earth hands down if you go here please please PLEASE read check and look it over 10 million times before you let them make it perminant the cursive made it hard to see till i got home but i was so upset i cried for 2 weeks till it was healed to get fixed im discusted with this shop and how unprofessional and uncaring the staff is that they almost ruined my body and didnt try to fix it but with the same person who messed it up I WILL NEVER EVER EVER BE BACK!!!!!!
