Expressive Ink Tattoo

I am SO happy with my tattoo! Mike Nelson did a phenomenal job. I went to expressive Ink for a coverup on my wrist. He worked with me on the design and really brought my idea to life with his own artistic touch. I’m obsessed. Thank you mike a thousand times for this beautiful piece. Saw Mike for 3 tattoos with my Mom. He has excellent line work and client communication. He was very fun to talk to and eases any nerves had. He also really listens to your input and tries to make each tattoo exactly how you want it.

Got a cute little froggie tattoo with Tyler and it was amazing and so much fun! Not only great work but he made it so fun!PSA he will scream everytime you scream if you ask 😂

Trent helped me out and he wasn’t even supposed to be there! I had hand surgery yesterday and was made to remove my nostril jewelry. It was darn near impossible for me to try to get it back in one handed so I swung by on my way home and he helped me out. I was so happy I caught him there and it’s the service like this that will always make me think of this shop first! Thank Trent! (It’s not the Percocet talking either…he was really cool.)

I stumbled upon Trent in the Expressive Ink booth at the New England Tattoo Expo in CT, and Im so glad I did. Among all the talented artists there, Trent stood out. He effortlessly crafted the perfect design on the spot. Throughout the process, he maintained a perfect balance of efficiency and attention to detail, making the experience surprisingly painless. What impressed me the most was how he made me feel at ease, despite the somewhat unconventional setting of getting inked in the open at an expo. I couldnt be happier with the final result. Trent is truly a skilled and personable artist, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top-notch tattoo experience.

Trent was absolutely fantastic today! I was having MULTIPLE issues with some of my piercings. He took time out of his schedule to fit me in and took care of me. Highly appreciative of him. Thank you so much! I will absolutely be back!*Editing my review*The original review is still accurate! Trent was super helpful and did help with my piercings that were infected from another place.However to fix those three piercings I was charged $105 which I thought was high but figured I paid for quality.Roughly two weeks later I had to have all of my piercings removed due to getting some mri and CT testing done. I came in and was charged $150 to have my seven piercings removed. I was given retainers that Trent put in for me. I have never been charged anything let alone $150 to remove jewelry. Especially for something like an mri, so this was a shocking first for me.3 of the retainers didn’t even stay in and when I checked to see if I could come in, Trent, the only piercer, wasn’t going to be in for five days. Three of my piercings have now closed.Now I’m going to have to PAY AGAIN to have my piercings redone whenever I find somewhere to have them repierced.Trent was super helpful with the initial infected piercings, and I do have to say their social media page is super responsive. It is just super disheartening that it is a money pit.

I have been going to Steph at the Randolph location for over 4 years now and she always does the most amazing job. Her work looks awesome, and she is so fun to be around and work with. Steph helps you bring your vision to life and executes the tattoos with amazing skill. Sometimes I am unsure of an exact idea I’m going for, and she helps me brainstorm to come up with the best version of what I’m envisioning. Steph is well rounded in her skills and can do any style you’re looking for in a tattoo, while also making it your own unique piece. I would highly recommend going to her for your tattoos because she will not disappoint!!!

Steph is an incredible tattoo artist. After a brief consultation she drew up exactly what I envisioned. This had to be the least painful tat I have ever received. I will be back. I highly recommend Steph and Expressive Ink.

I went to Michael to get a tattoo on my ring finger for my marriage with my husband. He did them both the same day and made it so easy. I got a letter “B” on the inside and it was a tricky spot but he made it easy!

Took my young daughter here to have her ears pierced and Trent was fantastic. He was great with her, explained every step of the process, how to care for it afterwards, and really put her at ease. Could not imagine a smoother process and there wasnt a single tear. Highly recommended.

It has been a month since my first tattoo and already planning a second, the staff is friendly, and immediately make you feel comfortable and part of the family. I worked with Steph we planned out the tattoo together, she added some modifications based on her expertise, I could not be happier.

Hands down the best shops in Jersey! Whether you go to the Randolph or Wharton location you’ll walk out happy with your piercing or tattoo. I’ve been tattooed by most of the artists there and I am stunned by their talents every time I leave! The atmosphere of the locations is so comforting. I walked into Expressive Ink about a month ago with my son, we had been talking about getting a memorial tattoo for my father who had passed away nearly two years ago now. From the first time I spoke to the staff on the phone, everyone was extremely professional. I spoke with Jade who was our tattoo artist before I came in to the shop, she was extremely personable helpful and passionate about what she does for a living. She is truly gifted and we couldnt have asked for a more pleasurable experience. This being my sons first tattoo and us going together as mother and son to get a memorial tattoo for my father was overwhelming in many ways. I highly recommend expressive ink and will be using them for future art. Thank you, guys!

Allison did a fabulous job on my tattoo! I wanted it to tell a story with an existing tattoo and her creative ideas were exactly what I was looking for. Her eye for color, shading and placement was perfect. She is such an incredible artist! I’m very happy and will go back again for more!

Trent was the best. He is super knowledgeable about piercings. Super friendly and an awesome experience getting my first nostril piercing I highly recommend anyone who wants to go there for piercings. The place is clean and quiet as you go in and has the proper sanitizing equipment. I was in and out in less than 30 min. Scheduling was a breeze called the day before and he was able to get me in quickly.

Jade gave me my first big girl tattoo. J is highly technical, and is a great partner to design with. I have a work of art I love, that is meaningful, and pretty much perfect.Photo realistic, beautiful lettering, and just gorgeous! Also, Jay was very encouraging during the whole process.If it means anything, Js equipment doesnt sound scary, and while very gentle, Jade gets clean lines and complete saturation of color. You so want to ask for Jade!!!

I recently got a tattoo on my forearm at this location. The experience was fantastic.Madie did my tattoo and was great through the whole process. She explained everything she was doing as well as maintaining a clean environment to ensure a healthy tattoo. The staff at this location was absolutely wonderful. kind and friendly. The tattoo came out perfect. It was a memorial tattoo for some pups that Ive had over the years that have passed. The lines are tight and well done and the shading was just perfect.Not only would I recommend this location but I would also recommend Madie to do the work. Thank you for the wonderful experience I have no doubt I will be back again.

I got my septum pierced here last week and everyone there was very nice. The place was super clean and the piercer explained everything he was doing as he was doing it. The process was way less painful than I expected and it is healing up nicely. I was also able to buy the after care supplies right there so I didnt need to stop anywhere else. Price of piercing included the septum ring he put in for me. Would definitely go there again.

I just left Expressive Ink and couldn’t be happier with my tattoo. Jade listened to my ideas( which were kind of all over the place) and she listened to my story of this being a tribute to my mom and dad. She designed the most beautiful tattoo. I have to say hands down jade is the best tattoo artist I have every had!!! And I have several tattoos done. My daughter and I went there for tattoos we sent her the description of our idea for the tattoo. Jade did a couple of drawing and made the tattoo exactly what we imagined. I got my first tattoo here and it was honestly one of the best experiences ever. I met Madi at the Asbury tattoo fest and when I saw her work I knew I wanted to get something from her so the next day I contacted her to set up an appointment. I have to say she truly made me feel SO comfortable and was so nice! She reassured me and explained everything so thoroughly that it made me less nervous about getting my first tattoo. My tattoo is healing beautifully and it’s the start of my half sleeve I honestly can’t wait to go back and complete it!!

Trent pierced my 4 year olds ears and he was very patient and spoke to her very kindly explaining to her everything that was going to happen and all the tools he was going to use. Very friendly and professional. As a mom it really put me at ease. They came out perfectly even. I would highly recommend for a piercing.

I showed up for a walk in to get my second lobe piercings, and Ryan was incredible. He walked me through the entire thing, made sure I was comfortable, and it was overall a great expereince. I am very pleased! Would highly recommend.

She was honest and provided her feedback in a professional manner. She is very personable and amazing at what she does. I would recommend her for basic, detailed or cover up tattoos!!!

They are always really quick to respond to any emails/questions and they really work with you to schedule a time that works around your schedule. I got my first tattoo done here and I couldn’t be happier how it turned out! After months of healing with no complications I’m still in love with it.I went back again to get an industrial piercings, which to my knowledge is a very difficult piercing to heal. Previous attempts of piercing my cartilage at other piercing shops have all rejected the earring however my industrial has healed and looks amazing!I can’t thank you enough!!!

I was getting a tattoo and was very nervous and walked in for a consultation with an artist. I walked in everyone was super nice, I told the girl I’m not that good with pain or needles, and that my tattoo was for my sister who is in the hospital. I forget my artist name but she was very sweet. I showed her my image and she drew it up. And told me her client isn’t showing up so she can take me. I was very nervous but I said yes. We got it the place we liked it. And she started, it was a very small tattoo on my wrist, only took her 7 mins maximum. But unfortunately I got sick I fainted and I threw up. She didn’t judge me at all, and took great care of me and made me laugh after. And made me feel not too embarrassed after words. It’s been over a week since I have gotten it. It healed so nicely. Didnt have any problems at all. I would absolutely recommend

I just went today to get my septum redone after a horrible experience at Tattoo 46, and Eric (I believe thats his name) did an AMAZING JOB!!!! He walked me through every single step, and he got right in my sweet spot so the piercing did not even hurt bad. I would highly recommend going there for a septum piercing, and will definitely be back for future tattoos and piercings!

First off, if I could give this place a billion stars I would. This was my first tattoo and Im terrified of needles, but Luis (my artist) was super chill and eased me into it. He also did great work and tolerated my nervous and annoying personality. So kudos to him. The place was clean and professional, very fairly priced, and was open later than most shops. 10/10 WILL go back for my next tattoo

Got 2 piercings at their Randolph location service Was EXCELLENT Piercer explained everything thoroughly Step by step keeping it clean etc the shop was very clean and everything was brand new piercing needles etc ..that is one thing I look at when getting a piercing or tattoo and I will definitely be back to this shop not only for their cleanliness but the way I was welcomed when I came for the first time they had patience for my million questions we even laughed

I’m sure no one else has had this experience however I arrived to have my septum pierced and whoever was doing my piercing wasn’t able to “get the jewelry to go through the pierced hole. Even after doing it a second time. I was offered a “free” redo if I came back but why would I.

Trent is the man. He did a custom tattoo for me back in February and it came out just how I wanted it and healed up beautifully. Can’t wait to come back!

I got my tongue pierced here February 2020 and the piercer was very professional, it was a last minute appointment and he was on his way out, but he took the time to make sure I was okay and sat me down for a few minutes before giving me my detailed after-care instructions.
