Rum Thai Tattoo

I am so happy with the results. Pae brought new life to some old tattoos that I have hidden for years. Now I can proudly display them because they are beautiful. She provided the best advice for an amazing cover-up. And Scoop is such an amazing little kitty, and she gives high fives! 😃🐱

She was so gentle and regardless of the tough task I had her try to tackle, she handled it with such creativity and definitely exceeded my expectations with how it turned out. I went in not knowing exactly how I wanted to add to my work, but she took my only request of it being of the same theme my other tattoos and went above and beyond. Lovely person in general! The price didn’t matter much to me because getting a tattoo is a lifelong decision and being unwilling to pay for someone’s time and effort is unfair.

This is the first thing that finally got me to write a review. Pae did absolutely incredible work, the attention to detail felt like a mix of artistry and a skilled surgeon. I had a rough idea of what I wanted and Pae worked with me to design something even better than what I was imagining. It was worth the almost 2 hour drive and I will absolutely be going back in the future.

Pae is a brilliant artist with an excellent artistic vision, and an even better host. Going to Rum Thai has been by far the best experience I’ve had getting tattoos. If you want beautiful tattoos, this is the place for sure.

Ive been here twice and its always a great experience. She really makes sure the design is what you want and that youre comfortable during the whole experience. She is accepting of numbing cream and was willing to reapply during the session when I needed it.

Pae is an immensely talented artists with great attention to detail which is evident in both the quality of the finished product and the way she conducts her tattoo sessions. She works a little differently than your standard tattoo shop so those familiar with the process may be a little confused. Appreciated working with a trained designer and artist, who took her time getting the design right. Organized and attentive, she was able to take the general idea and work it with adobe apps to make it fit the space perfectly. Oh, and the cats! Sweet space with good vibes.

What an amazing and kind artist! I gave her what I had in mind for my design and what she delivered was way better than anything I could’ve came up with. Her light hand made it virtually painless. Not only that but her work area was clean , interesting and she has the most adorable cat assistant ever. Pae is such a talented artist. She does great detail work. The first tattoo she did for me was the flower cross. I just went back and had the sunflower and carnation done. I love them both so much. There is not enough I can say about Rum Thais work, she is amazing, her skill and her love of art clearly shows in all that she does. Im so happy with the work Pae delivered to me. I came to her with so little to almost no idea in my mind but she put my thoughts into the beautiful tattoo beyond my expectations. I have a great experience at Rum Thai Tattoo with Pae and I definitely recommend her to others. Pae was very responsive in texting, which made booking a breeze. When I arrived at the address, I realized it was her residential home which I didnt expect. Once I met her, I quickly felt comfortable and knew that I would have her utmost attention on my tattoo. The element that I wanted to capture was my dogs eyes and I think she did AMAZINGLY. The rest of the tattoo also look great. She has great bedside manner, a great conversationalist and always checked to make sure that I was feeling OK. She even brought my husband and I Thai tea while we were waiting. Pae was amazing, this was my first tattoo and I felt really comfortable. The environment was amazing and she always asks if you want water, or anything and provided a neck pillow along with having music playing. She’s really nice and really cares for her customers. I heard about Rum Thai Tattoo through a friend and was glad I reached out. Pae does excellent work from designing to tattooing. I was looking for a new great tattoo artist in the area that charged a fair price, and was recommended here by a friend. I had texted her phone number and she replied right away, even though it was late at night. From there, we set up a time within a week after a $70 deposit towards the tattoo. Upon arrival, she asked us to sanitize our hands and we got working on the tattoo. After we approved the tattoo and was beginning to start, I noticed she was very clean and sanitary. Its important to me to have a clean studio, but also clean practices since I do have very sensitive skin. As she was tattooing, she would constantly ask if I was okay, and how was the pain. She was very caring and her technique was great. She was very professional and my favorite part, VERY CLEAN. After the tattoo session was done, I was very pleased and happy with the tattoo. She had also quoted me the price before we came to see her, and she stayed true to her price, she didnt change it.Its important to mention that I got matching tattoos with my sister. Once I got home, I realized that a part of my tattoo was missing a couple lines of the tail. I texted her right away and she was kind enough to fit me in her busy schedule. I came two days after, and she fixed it for me, no charge at all. Thats the best part. She was so kind and sweet about fixing it for me, especially since it was two days after.I could not recommend Rum Thai Tattoo more, I would definitely come to her for my future tattoos. Fair pricing, listens to your ideas, professional, and clean. Thank you for your work.

Pae is great.Technically speaking, her technique is very meticulous, and every detail is very wonderful, which is important for a good tattoo.Her technique is also very good. My skin is very sensitive, so I am very concerned about the safety of the ink used. She told me that she uses color black and grey the most, and the fading effect is very good.The communication went well, I told her the effect I wanted. She quickly gave me feedback and would add her own ideas to make the overall effect of my tattoo look more vivid.Very satisfied, will go again.In addition, Pretty is so adorable, sweet little one :)

Pae is very professional and dedicated to her work. Her house/studio was very clean and inviting. She made sure the design I wanted was correct as well as the sizing and placement. I got my tattoo in a more sensitive spot and I was a little nervous about the pain but Pae made it very quick and easy with her skills as an artist. Pae is amazing! She’s a one woman does it all, responded very quickly to my inquiry within a day. She works right from the comfort of her home and her office is right there when you first walk in. Very clean and neat area secluded from the rest of the house. A very nice person and made the experience go smoothly. I got this tattoo back in February and it has completely healed since then, I wanted to wait until it healed to write a review and also because I’m coming soon for another piece! I also got a quote on my back from her in February but I don’t have a good picture. I can vouch that they both healed very well and they both came out everything and more than I had pictured it. Rum Thai Tattoo has got to be the best experience I have ever had with a tattoo artist and their studio. Pae is super passionate about what she does. She is a great artist and wonderful to share this experience with. She makes sure you are happy, comfortable, and she really takes time to get your art the way you want it with her own flair. My husband and I got matching ring finger tattoos and then some other small pieces and she was very happy to explain what she does well and also art/pieces that is not her style and will not do(which is understandable, each artist is skilled in different ways). My husband and I are already planning on our next pieces to be done. Her studio is out of her home, so if youre not comfortable with that, I suggest you look elsewhere. But if youre up for it, she keeps the place really clean and very professional. I honestly love it, she is a gem and Im glad to finally have found an artist that is so passionate about what she does. Love my tattoo! She took a picture I sent and added in all the fixes and details I wanted. Very patient. I found her living room more comfortable than most tattoo shops and we stopped by 5 before we got to Pae. You can’t beat the quality and the price. She treated my tattoo so well I didn’t experience skin irritation like I did with my first tattoo. She uses quality material throughout the whole process, from wiping my tattoo with aloe to applying a moisturizing ointment.

I gave my son the gift of a tattoo for his 18th birthday. I also decided to add on to my current tattoo. She also ended making my previous blossoms match the new ones and it looks fantastic. Pae is extremely talented. She can look at a pictures, as a few questions and then freehand a drawing, which ended up being perfect for both of us on the first go. She makes sure you’re comfortable, checking on pain threshold. I really like having them done a a small snd comfortable space, instead of a loud shop. I’m unsure if her fees are a good value. I went for high ratings while choosing and am happy we went with Rum Thai Tattoo. I highly recommend her.

My experience with Pae at Rum thai Tattoo was great. The space is comforting and I was taken care of, whether it be her asking if I needed water or a break and how comfortable I was with the pain. Shy was I was coming to a new spot, Pae made me feel very welcomed and offered tea as she pulled up the reference image Ive sent prior to the appointment (she runs a home studio, but I feel it adds all the more comfortability!). On to the process! She was very to the point on her rates, e.g hourly or flat rate, depending on the request. I was very concerned about my reference image due to it being a bit blurry but she nailed the line work meticulously!! Throughout the session, shed make sure I was comfortably resting on the chair and checking in on any pain levels, which she was very light on a majority of the piece, it was only until much later in the session it got a bit pained, but that was just due to soreness after a while. 😅Nonetheless, from the finished piece, as we had talked about in person, but even just looking, you could see how much she enjoys the art form and I was very very satisfied with the result. I highly recommend anyone going to her as she does a variety of styles, but especially for very contrasted greyscale pieces!

I feel like she EXTREMELY over priced a tattoo my niece got! I am so disappointed I trusted she would be honest and fair! yes the work was done and it’s nice but the size for 900$ ?!!!! I went to 6 other shops and they all quoted 400 $ less ! I trusted she would be honest and fair instead got over on my niece! I recently went to Rum Thai Tattoo for something I have wanted to do for years. Came for two sessions and am thrilled with the result. Pae listened carefully to what I hoped for and then used her own imagination to bring about an amazing result.

Pae is the best artist Ive been to in a long time. I found her through my son and have had a few things done so far. Now shes working on a piece that I had done somewhere else and so far its AMAZING! Shes got a super soft hand that you could literally take a nap while shes working on you. Shes a must for anything you want. I will never steer from her and will be a lifelong client. I get stopped all the time and asked where I go and I always pass out her cards. Plus she has the CUTEST Kitty named Pretty that greets you and says goodbye as well.

I read her info and browsed through Pae’s portfolio on her web. I immediate knew she was the person who could help me with a failed and unfinished tattoo I have on my forearm. It came to my impression that she is artistic and can work with anything you already have. I was so pleased when I scheduled with her on the phone. She was immediately responsive and worked with my schedule. On the day of my appointment, I met with her at her home studio. It was quaint, very calming and pristinely clean!! I love that and Pae was really sweet and accomodating. I would highly recommend her especially if you’re getting your first tattoo. She made sure I was at ease with her. She showed me her work and gave me a quick overview of her background and experience and yup, I was completely sold. I see her passion in her art. It comes across to me that she does what she does because of her love for the art, and that’s a Huge plus for me. I was confident that she would be able to help me.So we threw some ideas back and forth. I just gave her some key elements I want on my design but gave her the rest of the control and freedom because I knew she would rock it. And sure enough, she did! She’s very patient, thorough, attentive and skilled... She covered up my ugly tattoos and created a beatiful background of the galaxy to tie my tattoos together. I am so happy I found her. Excellent ability to freehand if unable to find correct image size and/or unsure of exact image you have in mind. She is superb with black and white tattoos and shading. I will definitely be back as well as recommend her if you prefer a one-on-one session In a relaxed setting. I wanted Ellies tattoo from TLOU2 and Pae nailed it.

Pae came recommended to me by my older sister and I’m very glad I was able to get an appointment with her during my visit to WA. She is very professional, friendly, and she made sure I was comfortable and the numbing spray was working when needed. Had to take my shoes off. First sign of a clean environment. Pae, then asked me what I wanted and created an awesome idea on the fly. Super creative. She then started my cover up tattoo and talked me through her idea while doing. I trusted her judgment though. She is easy to talk to and does great work. Everything is clean and she is knowledgeable about tattooing. I’d go back if I needed work done in the future

Pae is truly amazing! Extremely detailed, patient and light handed. I have been wanting this piece since 2016 and with the passing of my father in 2019 I wanted to add his name into it. Pae took the time to add it in free handed. I couldn’t be happier with her work! Pae is my artist moving forward and I will be returning in the near future.

Pae is AMAZING!!!!!! She just did matching tattoos for my husband and I, and they are INCREDIBLE!!! She’s the sweetest person. I also had my 7 month old son with me for the sessions, and she was so nice and sweet when he would fuss and cry, she would stop to play with him and make him smile. He couldn’t stop smiling at her and laughing lol she offered us delicious tea, and she made us feel extremely comfortable and welcome. I HIGHLY recommend her. I’m definitely getting my future tattoos done by her!!❤️❤️❤️

I cannot recommend Pae more! I am so happy I found her! My boyfriend and I were looking for a tattoo place open late (since it was a spur of the moment decision and where we come from it’s very normal for tattoo shops to be open until 1am sometimes 2am on the weekends). So for starters she was the one open the latest in the area. When we pulled up to her place I instantly felt comforted knowing I was supporting a hard working woman working out of her home and when we came in, we felt nothing short of welcome and homely. Her work was displayed beautifully all over her space both drawings and paintings. I cannot say enough how CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL her set up is! She kept us chatty, and got to know us. She makes you feel like an old friend! My boyfriend doesn’t do well with needles so she went the extra mile to make him comfortable with aromatherapy and a hand massage when he got a little light headed. I am absolutely in love with our tattoos! They are precise and the line work is solid! (and don’t worry guys we didn’t get our names tattooed or matching hearts lol) would 11/10 recommend her and will definitely going back for more work!

Pae is a skilled, detailed, and courteous artist. She actually has over 15 years in graphic design and 4 doing tattoos. Her equipment is clean, sterile, and professional grade. Overall shes extremely detail oriented and passionate about her work, she did one tattoo, and fixed two others for me.

I have nothing but AMAZING things to say , from the appointment to finishing the tattoo I have been respected , heard , and I have felt comfortable. Out if all the tattoo shops in renton and reviews I read she stood out because of the quality of her work. I showed her the artwork I wanted and she made it 20x more amazing , more then I could of thought of. I recommend taking a chance and going to her because she will do a AMAZING job.

I was a little nervous at first because of my previous experience a different place. She work is nice , she takes her time to make sure your tattoo fits where it needs to go . She pay attention to your wants and needs. Very good hospitality. Only thing price is slightly high. But the work and time put in it is good . We be back soon .

Im completely happy with Rum Thai. Pae took my idea and because I wasnt fully committed to it - suggested one of her own ideas and completely transformed the original. Shes an amazing designer and a highly talented artist and deserves the perfect score she has! I think Ive found my only referral in WA state.

Showed her what I wanted and she nailed it! I’m so so happy with my tattoo. I was in and out in an hour, which for me I loved because I’m a restless person, I don’t like being uncomfortable so I just want to get it done and over with. She kept making sure I was comfortable and what my pain level was, which showed me she cares about the client and not just the money. You can tell she loves what she does and she’s amazing at it! I Look forward to getting more done by her in the future.

I am beyond pleased with Rans talent and dedication. I explained what I wanted and (I cant sketch at all) tried to draw what I was explaining. She then sketched out what I described right there, with amazing accuracy! I found it wonderful to not be in a typical shop. She has a set up just like one, but without the interuptions, distractions and oddly curious customers checking things out. It was a one of a kind experience to have an artists undivided attention. Her talent and true natural passion shows in the beauty of her living artwork! I definitely will be back! And if your looking, I couldnt recommend her enough!

Such an awesome shop. We got in same day. This was my first tattoo and I am so happy with it. Rib cage and barely hurt at all. Even open on the 4th. Hands down would come back.

Tattoo artist is very professional and takes pride in her profession. She made my ideas come to life before my eyes. Not to mention she is really careful and light with her tattoo equipment which limited the amount of pain inflicted on the skin. Got my first small minimal tattoo done with her two years ago and never felt regret. She kept on drawing the pictures until I satisfied with it before she start working on it. The quality is also soooo good with the fair price, i never went back for a touch up but the color never faded.
