I love this place. The owner is a great artist. Ive been getting tattooed from him since 2010. Great detail and cover ups. He has great staff with him too. All amazing and specialized in different styles.

The best tattoo shop hands down! Everyone is super friendly and professional and has their own special expertise in tattooing. I have been personally tattooed by Shawn. He made me super comfortable while he tattooed 1 arm sleeve and my entire stomach, of course in multiple settings. These guys make you feel like you are part of a family. If you are looking to get a tattoo call them up and make an appointment. I promise you wont be disappointed.

I got an apprentice tattoo here from Claire Connelly recently and I love it so much!! I absolutely recommend her if you are considering getting tatted by her, the line work is amazing and she was so kind and accommodating!

Ive been going to North Jersey Tattoo now since 2016. It was phenomenal then, and even more now. The owner (Shawn) has assembled an extremely talented crew of artists covering a massive stylistic range. The shop has always been clean, every artist has been professional, and their artwork is top notch. Cant say enough good about this shop.

My daughter and I decided to get matching New Jersey Devils tattoos as our first tattoos. Shawn was awesome and put us at ease.While painless, the sensation is odd. But I would do this again, and likely will soon.UPDATE: Went back and had two additional tattoos, this time with Jake. Another great experience, and excellent artistic ability.

I got two tattoos from Shawn, and I am always getting compliments!! My first by him was almost five years ago and the colors are still as vibrant as day one. This has been my tattoo shop for a significant sum of years. I travel an hour to have Shawn ink me. His line work is precise and steady. Anyone who has been inked by an artist with a heavy hand will know the feeling of pain I speak of. Shawn has a gentle touch, truly masterful.

This is my second time back to North Jersey Tattoo. Shawn is incredible. He did a cover up and I could not be happier, it looks beautiful. Picture below. He touched up another tattoo from somewhere else and its looks 100% better. He also gave me a new one and I love it. I had my daughter join me this time as she had a tattoo from somewhere else that faded within two months. You could not even see the lettering or any of the tattoo, Shawn revived it and it looks amazing. I highly recommend NJT and Shawn. Very happy customer.

This is a local shop in my home town. Shawn is amazing and very nice to talk to I’ve say through a few of my friends tattoos and everytime he blows it out of the park. I decided to go to Ryan for my moon and he was the coolest person ever. I felt so comfortable and had the most beautiful piece done. If you’re looking to get tatted here do it. Best decision you could possibly make.

Shawn had done some really great work on a friend of mine and his son. I was sold 100% on his beautiful artwork.I needed a cover up of an old yin yang with an American flag.I called. I came into the shop, met Shawn and was told Id hear from him in a week or two. After 3 weeks I called back spoke to Shawn who admitted he forgot and he was writing me down at the top of his list. That was a few months ago.I understand being busy, God knows I am too. However, I will always give people common courtesy and respect. I do not own my own business, but I imagine I would treat potential customers a little better. Especially coming in off of a recommendation.There are other shows in town and competition is fierce.Im sure you will get great work done here....if you can get in.

After visiting several tattoo shops in the area for a small piece I wanted tattooed, including a popular but overpriced competitor in Ledgewood, I decided to work with Shawn at North Jersey Tattoo. The artwork here is outstanding, in my observation unparalleled in the area. Additionally, the price is more than reasonable. The shop is clean and the tools are properly sterilized. I will return to this business again. Lastly, North Jersey tattoo is military friendly. I recommend all North Jersey vets check this place out first while doing their tattoo research. You will not be disappointed.

Ok so here is my experience. I contacted this shop through Facebook initially to let them know what I wanted and to see if what I wanted was something they would be able to do, then I went up to the shop to make an appointment in person and spoke to them again about what I wanted. The next available appointment they had was a week later. Fine, I set it. The day before the appointment I get a text about a family emergency and that they would reach out to me as soon as possible to reschedule. I was sympathetic and understanding to the situation. But then weeks go by NO call, no text, to IM. Then a month!! So I reached out to them.... Got an Oh my god. Im so sorry hahahahaha. I was apologizing for not getting back sooner. Ill call u after my appointment. On April 1st, well I guess that was an April fools joke because as of today, April 11th I still havent gotten that call from 10 days ago. This is ridiculous and I have never had such a terrible experience with a tattoo shop, and I have been to many. I had high hopes but I will take all the signs ahead of time for exactly what they are. I wanted a special tattoo done for a very special occasion, thanks to this tattoo shop, I was unable to do that. The worst experience ever.
