I love getting tattooed here. The environment is very relaxing but also professional. I feel very un-judged here which is not the case with many other tattoo shops. Everyone who works here is so nice and makes for a great experience. Lots of parking and convenient location with private rooms so youre not getting tattooed out in the open. You wont regret getting tattooed here!

Tyler is an AMAZING portrait artist. I’ve been working on a full leg piece oh horror characters and each one not only is executed perfectly but the life that each piece has is like you’re actually watching the movies. Also had my throat done by Tyler and it’s fantastic.Jose also did a lower back piece for me and it also is absolutely stunning with the work that was done.Everyone’s work I’ve seen at the shop is stunning and the atmosphere is not like any other tattoo shop I’ve been to just amazing people and amazing work

The shop and the people who run and operate it are amazing! Everyone is so friendly, its a very welcoming environment. Ive been seeing Juliette for my tattoos and she does amazing work, and my sister has seen Taylor for some great ear piercings. I havent been tattooed by anyone else here but everyone is professional and incredibly artistic. Definitely check this shop out!

The whole staff is amazing welcoming and very friendly. I’ve gotten work done by both Tyler and Juliette and they both did amazing jobs and fun to talk to. They occasionally have fun community events like gaming tournaments and flash tattoos. 100/10 highly recommend

When you enter this shop, you can tell that there is a lot of rich, creative energy flowing throughout this interesting, artistic space. I have 3 tattoos thus far, all completed by Jose at Black Shark Gallery. He is open minded, listens to your tattoo ideas, and provides feedback & suggestions as to the perfect placement and size of each tattoo. He completes all of his work with extreme attention to detail, taking into consideration certain attributes of your tattoo that you may not have even thought of such as how its shaded, choosing the right color schemes, and shadowing. Everywhere I go, I receive frequent compliments on each of my tattoos. I will indefinitely continue to go to Jose for all of my future pieces.

Came in recently for a piercing. The shop is welcoming and clean. Taylor is awesome! She was so friendly and made me feel comfortable through the process. Highly recommend!

I went for a realistic black and grey piece and Jen did an incredible job. I would recommend her to anyone interested in this style. As for the shop, it is completely clean, nicely styled, and all the employees are extremely friendly. There is an atmosphere of positivity and welcoming and it appears as if everyone really enjoys working there. 100% recommend!

I have been both pierced and tattooed here - the vibes in the shop are immaculate, everyone is incredibly friendly, affirming, and super talented. It’s also really nice to go to a shop where you can tell everyone genuinely gets along and has fun with their clients. They’re stuck with me forever!

I have tried out nearly every piercing shop in Connecticut just to determine which one is the best. This is most definitely my favorite thus far! Taylor is so sweet and kept complimenting my ears and it was such an awesome experience. I got a double conch done and it was a 10/10 experience! I will be going here from now on for the rest of my piercings. Atmosphere and vibes are immaculate!!

They are the best! The shop is very comfortable to be in and beautiful decorated. Ive gotten tattooes from Tyler, Juliette and Buk and they all made the experiences some of the best. They were all so pleasant and gave me some fantastic tattooes. Im sad I can no longer get tattooes with them after leaving the state , but they will be my recommendation to everyone i know still in CT everytime someone ask 😊

Tyler has done a few of my tattoos and I can’t recommend him enough. He is incredibly talented and takes the time to create a unique piece of art just for you. He also works hard to create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for all his clients. The good conversation, humor, and one-of-a-kind, crazy cool decor is an added bonus! If you want a tattoo, this is the place to go…you won’t be disappointed.

Tyler is one of the best artists I have ever met, and is probably the best portrait artist in the area. The shop is super chill and clean. Tyler has done several of my tattoos, and I will 100% go back to him for more in the future

Black Shark is a welcoming place, full of exceptional artists and great vibes. Tyler Morris is an amazing artist and a dedicated professional. He has been working on arm and leg sleeves for me over the last few years -- everything from photo-realistic b&w portraits to psychedelic fantasy. Hes a receptive listener who can help bring your ideas to life. Cant say enough good things about Black Shark.

I just got my septum pierced by Taylor cole for my birthday! She was so sweet and I really love going to see her! :) She has also pierced my nostril and my ears before for my birthday and when i was more nervous before she was so sweet and patient with me then as well! 10/10 definitely recommend, especially for your first piercing! ❤️❤️

Tyler is one of the greatest tattooers I’ve ever gotten art from! He’s kind and cares about the environment that he creates in the shop. All the people that work for him are incredible and it’s always a fun place to go and get incredible art!!

Tyler is the dopest tattoo artist out there. If you feel like getting a tattoo, a therapy session, AND a comedian, this is the place to go. On a real note he does amazing portrait tattoos and black and white tattoos. This is the place to go even if your visiting

Tattoos by Buk and piercings by Taylor! This is a great shop - I’ve followed Buk to this new place and absolutely love the atmosphere, all the other tattooers are super friendly and their wall hangings are beautiful. Highly recommend Buk and the staff at Black Shark.

This was my first tattoo, and Buk at Black Shark was recommended to me. From beginning to end, Buk made me feel comfortable and was so personable that I forgot how nervous I was. He is funny and answered all my questions. I absolutely love my tattoo!!!

One of if not the best tattoo parlors in CT! Owner and other artists are all extremely talented and nice! It may be a bit hard to find as it is in the back of the lot, so please look out for it! Its a really nice looking shop internally as well!
