Rick and his crew have knocked every single tattoo I’ve gotten at their shop out of the park. Not only do they have a clean shop, but they have always made me feel comfortable. Rick always makes a point to fit me into the schedule last minute. I can’t thank them enough for all the amazing tattoos I’ve gotten at this shop.

Absolutely love this place!! I’ll never get a tattoo anywhere but here. Everyone there is so nice! I’ve got all my tattoos there and would definitely recommend going there!! Rick and Lily are my favorites!!

It was a very needed date night that ended up with spontaneous tattoos. We walked in and just wanted something fun to do and our artist Osiel did not disappoint. Very easy to work with and understood we weren’t looking for extravagant just easy and fun. His work was spot on as you can see.

This place and the people who work here are some of the best people I’ve met in a long time they made me and my wife feel super comfortable and very at ease and very supportive of working with us to make sure that we got what we wanted. We left extremely happy with what we had done and we will definitely be back soon. Dealing with Rick is a joke! He is no show to most the appointments and when he is there you spent a few hours just waiting for him to start your session.Very unprofessional and treats you like a convenience. Go somewhere else.

My daughter had a tattoo done by Rick and it was way overpriced and took several times of rescheduling to get it finished. Then within a week part of it faded and now he wont respond to messages to fix it.

Do not go to this place! As soon as I walked in dude was cussing me and then wouldn’t even let me explain what tattoo I wanted. Wouldn’t tattoo me because I stood up for myself. Do not go here.

Love, love, love, Sam Edwards at Tried and True Tattoo Company! She designed a beautiful piece and took her time to make sure it was perfect. She is very professional but also fun to be around. We laughed and enjoyed just vibing to music while she did her magic. The shop was clean and everyone was very friendly there! I will be back for more!

Went in earlier and because my girl wanted to get ideas and prices. We walked around for around 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. We asked to see the albums so we could check out their work. They nodded in a direction and had us go on a scavenger hunt for what should be the first thing any customer wants to see. After looking through, I realized they were very hit and miss. My girlfriend was interested in a small single line design tat on her ear, so beginner level stuff, and before the guy even looked at it, he said his price was $180! At first, I thought he was joking, and then he started trying to justify it by saying he bills at a minimum of 1 hour and his hourly rate was like $125/hour. Dude was way to full of himself for the work I saw.

They did a great job with my first tattoo! Its beautiful! They are really nice and helpful, too.

I cannot say enough about Rick, the art on my arm, and the experience getting exactly what I had visualized to complete the piece two years later. The finished design is stunning, the price was SO amazing, and the time spent in the chair is unforgettable. Rick is a dedicated and talented artist and my top recommendation.

I purchased a gift certificate during the toys for tats promotion. I paid 220 plus took in 20 dollar toy, so my son should have got a tattoo worth 440. We live 2 hours away, but I thought it was an awesome deal. So he made an appointment for today at 6 about a month ago, so he drives up there today and they did not have his appointment scheduled, they told him they could get him in at 730 so at 8 they finally start and at 940 they finish two very small tattoos that I could have got locally for under 200 so they overcharge for the toys for tats when you think someone is doing something good it was false. I learned my lesson and we will never go back to this place and I just want everyone to know that the toys for tats are a scam!

This place is amazing my daughter got her first tattoo and it looks incredible. The staff is so friendly and outgoing and the tattoo artist was just amazingly patient and kind shout out to Shawn Doodle! Your amazing!!

Recently got a small tattoo done by Rick that should have taken an hour. The tattoo took 11 1/2 hours!!! Why you ask? He was lolly gagging around the whole time. He would stop to take a break. No problem except his break was an hour 4 separate times so he could go smoke pot outside his shop. Great now I have a high tattoo artist giving me a tattoo 🙄. It turned out terrible!!! I should have left when I smelled the weed on him but my tattoo was unfinished. This guy is so unprofessional too. He slings the F word around worse than a sailor. He literally cannot use a sentence without the F word. He stopped working to play on his phone or use the bathroom. This whole thing was a nightmare. My husband called twice wondering where I was since it was 10pm at night. Oh and he charged me 375 for a small tattoo. Yes I’m an idiot but I will never return and I will never recommend him or his shop to anyone I run into. Did I mention he was yelling at his receptionist because she was scheduling touch ups which you are clearly told you can within 90 days? His reasoning was “people are swimming and f&$@$&@ up their tattoos. I TOLD YOU NOT TO SCHEDULE ANYMORE IN THE SUMMER!” 🤦‍♀️ You have got to be kidding me. If you go here don’t walk, RUN AWAY!!! hopefully I can save a few people from terrible experiences and save them some money.

Before they moved I got my panda tattoo done by Jacob, he did an excellent job...its been a year now. He doesnt work there anymore... But in the future Ill go back to tried and true for another one.

My boyfriends mom bought him a $220 gift certificate and a $20 toy and they said that would make the Certificate Worth $440 he got one decent size tattoo and the said they changed $300 to do that one and then he only got a very small rose. His appointment was at 6 we go at 5:40 PM and they said his appointment was at 7:30 PM we leave then go back at 7 PM and they acted like they had no idea who we was or who we talked to even tho we checked on his appointment yesterday and the day before yesterday.

Waited a bit to long for having scheduled then rescheduled but they apologized profusely and made it right with out me ever asking got a free tattoo and they didnt cut any corners either it looks fantastic i must thank the crew they did great work and were very pleasant

Absolutely beautiful work and and very welcoming staff. plus they do toys for tats during the holidays and take christmas presents to less fortunate children. Rick is like a real life santa claus. I recommend them to everyone.

Rick transformed a tattoo that I was embarrassed of so badly I couldnt wear my hair down into something beautiful that I am proud to show the world hes amazing at what he does I would recommend him to anyone

I can’t believe this place. Emphasis on TRIED. This place is a flop. I have been to many tattoo parlors and none have been this DISAPPOINTING. When I walk in the receptionist has an attitude off the back. While trying to schedule an appointment she proceeds to tell me that the artists here ONLY tattoo what the clients bring in. That they don’t do their own work and don’t have a flash. If that doesn’t tell you how untalented and unoriginal this place is then I don’t know what will. The artists here can only copy and paste tattoos from Pinterest. If you you want an original piece stay away from here. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. GO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

This is by far the WORST tattoo shop in all of Russellville and Arkansas for that matter. Staff and artists are very unprofessional. The place is a dump. Its dirty and very unsanitary. I got a tattoo from Rick which looks like absolute garbage. All I got was some lettering that healed awful because he punched the needle way to deep in my skin. If you have a brain trust me and just go right down the street to big country tattoos and theyll take care of you. Really disappointed with the outcome of this place and the fact that the artist didnt care the slighest about his kaboshed so called tattoo I received. Hope this helps!

Recently went there and got a tattoo that is beautiful. Rick is the guy to go to if you want it done! The detail is beautiful and it was a good price as well! I will always recommend them!

Go to Conway or red beards in hot springs people this place is a joke rick is a joke he uses toys for tots to drive up prices and waists time taking multiple breaks for pizza and blunts....i got this strength tat there last year during toys for tots paid 100$ plus sitting fee ....this year i asked for a word thats 6 letters and half the size and was quoted 300$ I will never go back and i will never recommend tried and true or rick to another person

Talented artists and the quality shows in their work. If I had unlimited funds this would be the only spot in Arkansas I would get my ink at. I love the atmosphere :)

Called 2 times and no one answered the phone. The answering machine said they were open until 11 pm, we got there at 8pm. We went to the door and it was unlocked, was greeted with a very rude “hey we’re closed.” Need to update hours and lock doors when closed.

Very awesome place. The guy that did my friend tat was kind and very gentle. He had an awesome sense of humor too. He did an excellent job on her tat.
