Outlier Body Piercing and Fine Jewelry

I had a consultation with Christine that ended up impulsively turning into me getting the piercings I wanted, which was the best decision ever! She was so professional and kind when answering all of the questions I had. She did a fantastic job of walking me through the whole process as it was happening and making sure I was certain about placement as well. Thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness and overall vibes of the establishment. 10/10 would reccomended this shop and Christine!

I brought my 8 year old daughter here to get her first ear piercings and I was blown away by the entire experience, namely with Joshua the piercer. First, if youre bringing in a minor, you need to provide proof of guardianship before they can do the piercing. Once we took care of the proper paperwork, Josh let my daughter pick out the earrings she wanted to get pierced with and explained they would need to be left in for 6 months. He then took about 10 minutes to fully sterilize the room for the piercing. He then had my daughter sit up on the table and said doing the placement would take the longest part because hes very particular and wants to make sure both sides are marked symmetrically. He showed her the black dots and made sure she liked the placement, then he sterilized her earlobes and explained how it would go, from the needle to threading in the earring itself and adding the back. He also made sure it was very clear SHE was in charge, and if she didnt want to do it, or if she got one done and needed a break or if she wanted to come back another day to finish, she could. He joked around and spoke lightheartedly to make her (and our family) feel extremely comfortable, and he included her in conversation and in decisions, making her feel the choice was completely in her hands. Then came the piercing part, where he had her lie down on the table and do one ear at a time, giving her kudos for doing so well and saying it was totally okay that she needed to take some time in between. Afterwards, he made her feel brave and strong for getting her ears pierced, and even offered her (and her little sister) a frozen popsicle for being so tough. Each step in the appt (which took about one hour total) reassured us that this business does everything ethically and officially, and that above all, its CLEAN and they take the health of the piercing into high consideration. Not only was everything extremely sterile during the piercing itself, but Josh went into great detail on what to do and what not to do with the earrings once we went home. Its now been a week since our appt and Im pleasantly surprised my daughter has had no pain after the initial appt (my Claires piercing days certainly had different outcomes) and its healing amazingly. I would recommend this place for ANY age because the experience was 10/10. Thanks for providing such a safe space for my kiddo!

Everyone was friendly and personable!! Miranda explained everything well and was very sweet and fast. This was a great experience for a mom who was anxious!! My daughter was very happy with her experience as well and wants to return in the future. The website spells out their rules clearly for minors and who can consent. Their shop was very clean and the rooms were private. The pricing is very reasonable. I’m very happy with the quality of service and products provided.

I wanted a second opinion on how my bridge piercing was healing, and I left feeling much better about it — I had an appointment for Kali to check it out, and while she prefaced she wasn’t too confident with bridges, she was still able to answer everything! She was so patient with all of my questions, and she changed my jewelry to the right gauge (which I did not know that there was a recommended size to begin with). I was pleasantly surprised at the price for the jewelry, and Kali was helpful with her suggestion of seeing how it heals before buying a super expensive barbell. It didn’t feel like I was being sold to, and that’s always nice. My bridge looks better and less irritated, Kali’s suggestions helped quite a bit. While there was some miscommunication with initially setting up the appointment, I had luckily called ahead and we were able to figure it out. The shop was pristine and so pretty on the inside, a welcome break from usual piercing shops. Their selection of jewelry was dainty and beautiful. If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely be back to buy a new barbell for my bridge or see about getting a piercing! Thank you for the help :)

Absolutely recommend. Joshua was incredible with my son. Was cracking jokes and had a smile on my kids face the entire time. He walked him through every single step and important aftercare. Then did my dermal right after! There was a women -who I didn’t catch her name- that made time right then and there to change my nostril jewelry. Amazing place with an even more amazing staff. We hit the jackpot!!

Called to find out if they prefer walk-ins or appointments and talked to a really nice guy Josh. He let me know they do prefer appointments because they can’t always guarantee if you walk in that they will have time and gave me the website to set up an appointment. I set up my appointment and was able to get in the same day ( not always possible but was on this day). Showed up to my appointment a little early and was greeted immediately. The establishment is spotless clean and really comfortable. Josh ended up being the person who I got an appointment with and he was super chill and answered all of my questions and just an all around super nice guy. I would 100% recommend this place. Price wise for the services is about average with anywhere offering the same services! I would definitely give these guys a try!!!

My 8 year old daughter decided she wanted to get her ears pierced. Scheduled an appointment online and 2 days later we were in shop. Joey was who did her piercings and I cannot recommend him enough. He is incredible especially when handling a nerve-wracking moment for a child. He made it a safe, personable moment. He communicated with my daughter first then me. Checking with her every step of the way. Getting her permission and her feelings first. He built trust with her. He was very quick and professional. Thorough with his explanations on aftercare and any questions asked. The cleanliness and sterilization? Next level. It was amazing. The jewelry is also beautiful and great quality. So glad I stumbled upon this shop on google! I went in to have my nostril pierced and was taken care of by Joshua. He was really informative and very friendly. There was another piercer in the shop who seemed very friendly with her clients as well. Shop was very clean and decorated. The piercing itself went well and Joshua made sure to explain every step thoroughly. Will be back for future piercings!

We are so happy with Outlier. Miranda really took the time to educate my daughter on her nose piercing and how to care for it, and engaged her in the whole process which made her far less nervous. The place was so clean and sterilized. Couldn’t be happier. Definitely recommend!

Have been here twice now and had great experiences with Kali. She pierced my oldest daughters nose and middle daughters ears. She was incredibly helpful and patient (especially when I had my youngest daughter with us) and is very knowledgeable, constantly asking if we had questions, concerns, etc. Highly recommend this place!

I came in yesterday to get septum and vertical labret pierced and my friend also came in to get a piercing. My friends piercer miranda was super sweet and also let me sit in while she did the piercing. She was very talkative (in a good way) and made sure my friend was as comfortable as she could be before and during the procedure. Joshua was my piercer and he went into detail about what not to do and what to do after getting my piercings. He did a consultation with me about my septum and turns out I don’t really have the right anatomy for it but he gave me different options as to what I can do. he did explain if I chose to get it done it’d hurt a lot more or get it pierced normally and it sit weird so I settled for an eyebrow instead! He let my best friend sit in with me as well and cracked jokes the entire time and was SUPER patient when I couldn’t stop laughing bc i was so nervous. after the first piercing he told me I could take a break if i needed to and then we went onto the eyebrow. Overall BEST PIERCING EXPERIENCE EVER. I highly recommend miranda and joshua!!

I got my septum pierced and had an excellent experience. My piercist made sure the u shaped ring fit great and gave me clear after care instructions and expectations throughout the process. Exactly what you would expect from a specialty shop.

So impressed with This place it was sooo nice , beautiful . I took my 16 yr old daughter in for a belly piercing they were reasonably priced and the 2 guys were so knowledgeable and compassionate and got her right in . I really did not know what to expect. Scheduling an online appointment last minute was super easy! I am absolutely blown away by this shop! It is a clean, calm, and professional environment with individual exam rooms. Miranda got me checked in and went through pricing for the piercing itself and the jewelry. She helped me pick jewelry that was not only in my budget but also SO cute. She answered all of my questions and was extremely knowledgeable about jewelry and piercings in general. We picked a placement and jewelry in accordance with future plans I have for other piercings. She sanitized the jewelry I picked out and the needle she was going to pierce me with. The procedure was quick and easy and she walked me through every step of what she was doing. She was very thorough on explaining aftercare and what to do in situations if I were to hit or snag the piercing and how to prevent a bump from forming. Jewelry is a bit on the higher end as far as price goes, but this is a get what you pay for situation! The jewelry is high end quality and will last a very long time. I can’t wait to come back to downsize and get more piercings in the future! :)

Oh my goodness I am SO impressed with this shop!! It’s VERY clear that cleanliness is at the top of their priority list as everything is clean and you see them sanitizing everything. Also- the jewelry selection for new piercings is pretty darn large and FLAT BACK. Oh my goodness am I so happy it’s flat back.Joey did my piercings and everything was great!!! So just about 20 minutes ago I got my seconds pierced by Joey. Very nice, loved him! Got super helpful information from him and Amber. Amber was amazing as well. Helping me pick out earrings and the prices for them. Overall, great place to get your ears pierced. Definitely coming back!

Would not recommend… went in a couple months ago. To get a glass piece out in my nose because I needed the ring out for a medical scan of my head. The girl put a piece in my nose that was a waaaay bigger gauge size than my actual nose ring. Since then I’ve been left with a nasty irritation bump that won’t go away. I’m pissed. Who the hell does that?!

Ive gotten 3 piercings with Outlier and each time it has been an excellent experience! I first stumbled upon them when searching for a shop that could replace my rook ring after it fell out. They got me in quickly and had a great selection of new jewelry. Since then, Ive gotten 3 piercings and they even helped me take out and put my jewelry back in after having to get a MRI. Their shop is clean and super relaxing. Everyone there is so nice too! I would 100% recommend!

Just got my 10 year old daughters ear lobes pierced by Christine and she was amazing! She did a beautiful job with the piercings and her bedside manor was perfect! My daughter was super comfortable and got all of her questions answered and Christine did a wonderful job explaining everything!!

I got my helix piercing on august 1st and it healed so quickly by just using saline spray every night. she was so quick with the piercing and it looks perfectly placed. would definitely get pierced here again

I dont think I will go anywhere else for a piercing ever again!I easily made an appointment online for a conch piercing, and when I arrived I was greeted by the friendly staff and clean atmosphere. After filling out my paperwork Miranda came up and helped me pick the the jewelry. They have a great selection and it was very happy that they offer gold pieces. After picking out what I wanted she went back sanitized it. Then had me come back to her room. She very thoroughly went over placement asked what my future plans were, and if i eventually plan to put a hoop in it. After that it was a quick simple pinch and I was finished. She went over aftercare and downsizing the post after the swelling goes down. This was a completely different experience that I have had from any other tattoo/piercing place I have ever been to. I am very happy with my experience, and sad I didnt know about this place sooner. I would definitely recommend!Thank you

I had a ton of questions regarding earlobe piercings I had done at a mall 25+ years ago, and options for correcting/re-piercing. Joey was very helpful and thorough in answering my questions. He was able to re-pierce in a better location, and I am so happy with how they look now! Im glad I went to a professional this time - you get what you pay for!

Lovely knowledgeable staff and the workspace is so clean! The ability to make appointments online is great. I do wish they had more options for jewellery (especially white gold). But if they dont have something you like they can order it for you.I had an issue with my conch piercing and they got me in ASAP to check it out and help me. They have the expertise to know whats happening and (as painlessly as possible) help.

Friendly helpful staff. Piercing only establishment. The variety of hardware is on the smaller side, but what they don’t have in quantity, they make up for in quality. Right on Mid Rivers dr about 1/2 mile from the mall!

If you have piercings you want to make sure are healing okay, come here! I got my nose piercings looked at and switched some jewelry out. If you get nervous asking for help, I recommend this place. Absolutely love this place! The jewelry is beautiful and everything is reasonably priced. It was very clean and they run your jewelry through a sanitizer machine first. Special shout out to Miranda.... Ive never had a cartilage piercing that was mostly pain free. She was very nice and explained everything to me, including the type of jewelry she was putting in so I knew how to take it out when ready. I will definitely be going back when Im ready for my next piercing.

Incredible experience. Took my 11 and 13 year old girls in for ear piercings, and I wouldnt take them anywhere else. They were polite, professional, and had great communication. The shop was very clean, and they did great work. Would recommend to anyone at any age.

Been here several times for several facial piercings, staff was absolutely amazing and super quick with everything, they constantly check on you and make sure you’re okay during and after the piercing process. The you get what you pay for applied to life! I will never go anywhere else. The environment is bright, and so clean. The owner is kind and funny, and you can tell could do your piercing with one hand behind his back and blindfolded. My daughter had one of the other piercers, also very funny and knowledgeable. Four of my seven have been here. I love it! Having a professional piercing artist calm you, and talk you through the experience is really priceless! These are great people, and very talented. Not just a trendy pick it and stick it place like most around here, lets be honest.

Absolutely amazing!!!! I went in to see Miranda for my navel and lobe piercings. Joey and Miranda took a look at my anatomy and were honest and gentle with letting me know I couldn’t get the navel piercing hahaha. Very clean! Like Dr.’s office clean. Individual “exam” type rooms. Private, professional, informative. Will definitely be back for future piercings. They only do piercings so there isn’t a tattoo shop vibe, you can select the jewelry you will be pierced with, and they really go the extra mile to answer questions and explain the process. Went here last summer to get my nose piercing switched out. Miranda did a wonderful job and was very helpful in answering any questions I had! I had an AWESOME experience here. I’ve had a few facial, body and ear piercings done at other shops, and this one is top tier. Miranda helped me out. I got a conch, forward helix and daith done. Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at a piercing studio. They specialize, so you aren’t just at a tattoo shop getting a piercing— they are focused on only piercing. The process was streamlined from setting an appointment online with notes regarding my piercing to walking through the door to a clean and empty shop. There was no distracting chatter and Joey talked me though some nerves about what I wanted and made sure the placement was perfect. No clamps were used, which I think cut down on the damage from piercing as well as the pain. It was a quick process and I would suggest getting pierced here to anyone that is first time or experienced. The prices were very normal for the industry— you are not being uphold for this pristine experience! You will not be disappointed.

I went to Outlier for the first time today for a walk-in conch piercing and had a great experience! The shop is bright, well-decorated, and very clean. Kendall did a wonderful job from beginning to end- she helped me pick out the perfect jewelry and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. She answered all of my questions and gave me some ideas for future piercings that would look good with my current piercings and my anatomy. I’ll definitely be coming back when it’s time for my next!

This place is AMAZING. It is clean, well lit, and everyone is super friendly. I had my Daith pierced by Miranda and I swear she has a magic touch. Everything was thoroughly explained and cleaned well. 3 days after the piercing it barely hurts. The aftercare was explained so well. They have earrings to fit any budget and taste. The best thing for me is that my helix from a previous piercing shop fell out at work, so I came here and they got me an earring that wont fall out and put it in for me, then checked in on my daith and cleaned around it for me. I will for sure be coming here for all piercing needs in the future.

I drove about 1.5 hours to get pierced at Outlier and I would do it again! Walking in, you’ll notice how clean the shop is and how friendly the artists are. I was a little nervous however Kendal calmed my nerves and made me feel so beautiful and welcome. She chatted with me through the whole process and now I have a set of piercings that I love. Absolutely impressive! This place is unbelievably clean. Although I enjoy the tattoo shop type atmosphere, this is very much not like that at all. In fact its completely opposite. It has a very deep spa/boutique type feel. Very welcoming, comfortable waiting area. Ambient/relaxing instrumental rock music playing moderately in the back ground which helps with any nervousness you may have about your piercing (not super loud heavy metal like most tattoo shops). Top notch jewelry displayed nicely in the counter case and in the glass fronted cabinets. My wife and I both walked in to get our septums pierced. We were very politely greeted as soon as we walked in. The only wait time was to ensure that our jewelry was being sanitized properly. Everything thing from start to finish was explained very well and all questions were answered. Super professional. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The shop is really nice, great atmosphere, clean, modern, relaxing. I got my nose pierced here after a not so great piercing at a different shop. I was honestly not expecting things to go so great this time, but my piercing is doing great! No issues at all. Im really happy and will definitely be going back again!

So I have been dealing with an irritation bump for months. I went in to have them look at it and possibly switch back to a stud to let it heal longer and give the bump a stationary piece of jewelry to stop irritating it instead of a hoop. That’s exactly what he did! He helped me pick out a beautiful piece that would be flat and wide enough to cover the bump while it heals (because she isn’t not cute) and he was so patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. I emailed very early in the morning to see if they would look at the bump and he responded quickly, hours before the shop even opened to set up an appointment time. The shop is beautiful and clean and I have never seen a better selection of fine body jewelry anywhere! The selection is incredible. Can’t wait to go back and get a new beautiful piece of jewelry in a few months when this bump is done. Highly recommend!!!

1st review - December 2021, my daughter said her navel pierced was what she wanted for Christmas, it happened at Outliers Body Piercing and Fine Jewelry! As someone in the medical field I have to say how amazing this place is (grade of jewelry, cleanliness, professionalism, and explanation and the practice of their sterilization procedure as we were there) and how different this experience was versus getting my belly button pierced at 15 in a tattoo shop. Anyone getting a piercing I highly recommend Joey at Outlier Body Piercing and Fine Jewelry!!!2nd review - December 2022, my daughter said her helix and 2nd standard lobe pair piercing is what she wanted for Christmas. Again, I took her to Joey at Outliers, and I couldnt agree more with my 1st review this time around!! Her ears were pierced with flat back posts and the process was flawless! THIS is the way to go for piercings! We took our daughter to get her ears pierced for her birthday. Joey is so professional and kind. He talked her through everything he did and educated us on everything from the sterilization process to the cleaning process/what to expect with healing. He was so great with her! This place is SO clean and eloquent in appearance. There were many choices for jewelry. When our youngest daughter decides to get her ears pierced, we will be back here for sure! BIGGEST CONCERN I had was cleanliness and sterilization. They make sure you see that the equipment and piercing are sterilized. Adds great comfort in these situations. In addition the entire shop/store being very clean and well lite is important so you know their commitment to a clean safe sterilized environment. Bonus is they make sure to have proper documentation so no piercing are done without parents (when appropriate of course).

We got our kiddos ear lobes done here and they were FANTASTIC!! It was a little more pricey than I anticipated/hoped but honestly they are worth it. They explained every step to my kids and made them feel comfortable, safe and prepared for the after care.

After getting my ears pierced, and re-pierced, multiple times with a piercing gun, I was worried that there was no hope to save them. None of my holes lined up and many scars were left behind. When I decided to finally get my ears professionally done, I went to Outlier. If I could give them more stars, I would. Not only did the owner take time to walk me through the jewelry selection process, he also made sure to place the piercings in the best possible spot with all of the scarring. They focus on the best quality for their customers, as well as pay close attention to sterilization of all material. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

I had a 2nd lobe piercing done and love it! Miranda did my piercing. She was very knowledgeable and everything was very clean. She was able to answer my questions and provide great instructions for caring for my new piercings!

We got our daughter’s ears pierced here. It’s a unique piercing experience. Extremely knowledgeable and educational, the shop is inviting and clean. The jewelry is quality and there were lots of options. She loves her earrings, and we will definitely be back when her sister decides to get her ears pierced.

While this is a more expensive place to get ears pierced than a Claires or the local tattoo shop, it was completely worth the money. The gentleman who pierced my daughters ears was super friendly, knowledgeable, and good at his job. My daughters ears were pierced with very minimal pain and shes had zero issues with them. I wish I wouldve had my ears pierced using a needle instead of a piercing gun when I was a kid! The facility is super clean and they have a wide assortment of piercing jewelry.

Update: they are now APP CERTIFIED! YAY! Very professional, great quality piercing jewelry (implant grade titanium). While I do wish they were APP certified (just because I love me a certified place to go) theyre still super clean and very much adhere to regulations, and have everything they need (including the autoclave/sterilizer) right there in the piercing room so they can minimize any chance of contamination, my piercer changed gloves appropriately, had great people skills, went over aftercare with me and what to expect, made sure I knew they were always available for questions or follow ups if needed, etc. Very clean, very professional. Definitely recommend!

Joey was honest and professional about the piercings I was interested in. His amount of extensive knowledge regarding each piercing shocked me. He buys only the best jewelry, not cheap bulk jewelry and makes the whole process stress free. This is the ONLY place I will ever get piercings from again. They treat you with the upmost respect. They don’t mess around here and if there’s a chance your anatomy may not fit that particular piercing properly-they are honest and educate you on the healing process and instructions. They are 100% a quality shop. Joey has done a few of my piercings. Nostril, outer conch, Tragus, and tongue. This shop will ALWAYS have my business.

Best place to use for quality piercings and best possible jewelry to ensure no reactions. Don’t bother making an appt. I made one but was still put in line according to who arrived first. Wish they had told me how to take care of my piercings so I didn’t have to find out on my own. Wondering if it’s because I didn’t tip on the very expensive jewelry? Seriously, not one mention about care. Will still use them for next piercing.

This place is great all around! I am allergic to nickel so I was so excited that they have titanium and gold jewelry and quite a big selection. Place is super clean and friendly. Will recommend it to all of my friends! And will only go to Outlier to get my piercings done from now on.

I came in here a few days ago to get my belly button pierced, and they were SO helpful. they took time to answer my questions and calm my nerves. they explained different types of jewelry i could use for my cartilage piercing i just got a couple weeks ago from a different place. highly recommend!!

Not only does this place offer quality body jewelry (not the $5 cheap stuff that irritates your skin anyway), the staff are knowledgeable and kind. They helped me find what I was looking for and even helped me exchange something when they didn’t truly have to. I will definitely be returning when I had any piercing or jewelry needs.

The piercer was nice but was pushy about where he suggested my ear to be pierced. I got 2 and had to get the second one done again because I didn’t like it. I ended up removing the second one when I got home because it was too close to my other one. Not very happy and spent 200+ on two ear piercings which is way too much. I’d recommend going to a tattoo shop
