Damm Nice Tattoo & Body Art

Was looking for shops by me and saw this spot had great reviews. On top of that, this place stuck out to me because he is 24/7 and can text the number on his website anytime. Very unique and a nice touch since nobody else offers that, and is appointment only. I appreciate the hustle very much. As for the tattoo- we went back and forth over text on a Sunday night at 10:30 pm. Fit me in the next day, and the tattoo came out great of course, even though it was just a quick one. I will be back!

This guy was terrible. He had such an attitude when I came. Unresponsive with the phone and wasn’t there the first time I came. I stood outside ringing the doorbell for 15 minutes and no answer. This was after speaking to him on the phone and being told to come in. Eventually he pierced my belly button with a hanging ring. Which at the time I did not know you were not supposed to do. He also pierced my belly button on the surface not on the naval with no indication prior. I had to take out my piercing due to these two things and I now have ugly scars on my stomach.

I just had my 2nd tattoo done with Damien and I cant imagine a better experience. His work is outstanding and made the whole process very comfortable.He took my original idea and made adjustments to make it fit to where I wanted it placed. When I saw it after completion I was overwhelmed because it just popped.I would recommend Damien to anyone looking to have any work done.

I went for a specific tattoo ( cross with names ) Damien was superb in making sure I was happy with the final design. He made sure it was the way I wanted it. The tattoo place itself is super clean and chill and I would recommend this place to anyone. Definitely give it a visit.

Had my first tattoo with Damien done the other day, it came out beautiful and is healing nicely! The place was clean and I had a good time chatting while getting it done, and Damien gave me plenty of breaks when I needed them.

I had a great experience I pierced my navel and nose both here. They have since healed very well I’ve had no problems with either piercings. The piercer was very kind, patient with me, and made me feel very comfortable.

The place is very clean, it has a cozy atmosphere and the pricing is reasonable. My first experience at Damm Nice I got my tongue pierced and a small tattoo on my chest. Damien made me so Comfortable I had to go back. My family and I went to get tattoos in remembrance of my cousin. Damien took his time and was very creative with our tattoos. We told him what we wanted he did what we asked for and also added his own spice to it. We all loved his artwork and left out of there happy. I would highly recommend him to anyone who’s looking for a great tattoo artist. He will definitely be my personal tattoo artist.

Damien is an excellent tattoo artist! He scheduled two people on the same day at the same time by accident, but handled the issue very professionally and got both me and another client done promptly.I know many people are concerned about artists scamming people out of their money by taking longer to get their tattoo done, however, dont you worry. I went to Damien twice in the past 2 weeks and am beyond pleased with the outcomes of my tattoos. Me and my best friend felt like being spontaneous and going to get a little tattoo we had in mind. We got there told Damien our idea and he took it and executed it just how we pictured. Damien has completed 4 pieces on my arm. He has also helped clean up and fix past stick and pokes. I’ve also received body piercings from him. I had my young daughter with me which I thought may have been an issue instead he took care of both me and my daughter ensuring that she was well entertained while I had my tattoo done. On a whim, I decided to get a tattoo while visiting New York. Fortunately for me, I could not be accommodated at another location because this enabled me to experience the awesome service provided by Damien and his staff at Damn Nice Tattoo. As soon as I entered the door, Damien was welcoming, caring, and attentive to my needs. This is my first tattoo and of course I was reluctant of the unknown and also due to my skin condition Vitiligo, no pigment on my skin. I expressed my anxiety concerning my skin situation and pain but Damiens patience and calming spirit quickly put me at ease. I showed the artist what I had in mind and she created a very beautiful and detailed butterfly just for me with colors of her choice. Even when I returned to Virginia and had questions concerning the tattoo during the healing process, Damien answered my questions immediately and assured me that I would be able to get a touch up when I return to New York. The establishment is clean, full of light, and a great atmosphere. Kudos to Damien and his staff for creating a atmosphere of top notch customer service and beautiful artwork! Damien is the man, period. I had two prior tattoos but had never gotten one at a one man shop. It made a real - and positive - difference. Working privately with Damien meant that we could just chill and get it done, talking, watching a movie, and taking a break for dinner. It was like hanging at a friends place, except that I left with a great tattoo that was exactly what I wanted. I chose Damm Nice in part because I needed an old tattoo covered, and I had seen on the website that Damien specializes in covering scars; I figured, same thing, practically. Im amazed by the job that he did - its as if the old tattoo was never there and I honestly cant figure out how he did it, even looking very closely. Bonus: dude has good taste in metal. Damien did such a great job with my tattoo. He was really good at making me feel comfortable since I was getting my first tattoo. My tattoo was very dependent on linework and he went over the lines multiple times to make sure it looked perfect. Definitely would get my next tattoo here.

I found Damien over a year after I had a less than perfect shoulder tattoo done by another local artist. The other artist didnt share my vision for my OWN tattoo, and got hostile after i nicely told him about changes I wanted to make. This went nowhere so i decided to find someone else to fix his mess. After interviewing several other artists who actually refused to take my case saying it really could not be fixed, I stumbled upon Dammnice. I told him what I was looking to do and asked if he could, and would be willing to help. He graciously accepted and I set the first appointment. Fast forward a year.. I have gone to Damien a ton of times since then enhancing the original piece and then extending it down so it is now a complete full color, highly detailed customized half sleeve. I continued to have different ideas of things to add- and each time he was able to add the items on- usually on top of other things. The results are excellent, and the cool thing about him is that he never gets hostile or sensitive if i want to make changes. Hes been able to get me the results i was looking for. Go see him!

First let me say that Damien is a professional! My fiancé and I wanted tattoos before our pending nuptials. Somehow, I was charged with finding us a reputable place. I described what me and my fiancé was looking for and made the appointment. Two days later we met Damien. He was warm, friendly, charismatic and knowledgeable of his profession. This location is fresh, clean and has a good vibe. I couldnt have had a better first tattoo experience. This was my first tattoo so of course I was nervous, but Damian eased any doubts I had right away. He was very friendly, accommodating, and kept me updated throughout the process. He made sure I knew that all the equipment was new, and answered any questions I had. Damien is awesome! Went in for Friday the 13th specials and the flash sheet made it really hard not to get like, 10 tats and just choose one. The wait wasnt even long whatsoever, and despite getting inked in a painful place, i was in far less pain than expected (not my first ride at the tattoo rodeo) because he really knows what hes doing and did fantastic work. I love my little rocket and immediately discussed reworking a piece that needs some major help with him with plans to come in later this week to talk more in depth about it. Wish I could give more than 5 stars, I wish I knew they were here sooner!

I came here with my family for us to all get tattoos. The first thing I noticed was how clean the shop was... it was maticulous. My sister and cousin were getting their first tattoos and were super nervous but Damien made sure they were completely comfortable and they got through it no problem. By the end of the day It felt like Damien joined the family lol! He did an amazing job and we are all so happy with our tattoos... you can count on me going there in the future.

I’ve gone multiple times (before/after contacting whoever runs this place) for tattoos and they’ve always been closed, even if they said they wouldn’t be. One time the guy came to the door after we’d planned it, was angry, and gave my friend a terrible tattoo and was horribly rude and charged me over $100 for a 1 inch heart shaped tattoo on his chest. Tried to give them another chance because I live nearby and the reviews are good, but all I got were drunk texts at 3 am. So they aren’t good or professional and I’m done with them.

Damien really made this an amazing first tattoo experience. He was really informative and down to earth, you can really tell he cares about what he does. Damien did the most amazing job, but more so than his great artwork was his amazing professionalism, creativity and spirit. I had a major piece done, and he did everything to get to know me and make me feel comfortable for what he understood was going to be several hours over several weeks that we would be spending together(I had no clue, lol). I have to say first that Damien the shop owner, keeps a really clean and welcoming shop. He also does a phenomenal job teaching his apprentices to do excellent work. His apprentice Eclipsa has some of the lightest hands Ive ever had tattoo me, and made a meaningful tattoo all the more incredible. After speaking with Damien and hearing his ideas I decided to make an appointment and get the piece done. What a good decision that was! Hes professional, knowledgeable, plus a creative and gifted artist. This is definitely one of the best pieces I have ,and now I have a new Tattoo artist.

Well I have nine tattoos and this is the first time Ive ever gone back to the same tattooist twice. I feel like I can trust him. Im already planning on going back to him for tattoo number 10. I can easily imagine a long term relationship with him. After all, if youre going to have something permanent on your body, wouldnt it be nice to know the person and trust them? I came in on Friday the 13th for a small tattoo on my wrist and was in an out in no time! My tattoo has now fully healed and it looks great. Damien did a great job and has a great personality so he makes the entire experience enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tattoo shop!

The ambience Is comfortable and Damien the artist makes you feel at home. The man is a true artist he knows what’s needed to bring your ideas to life. Cover ups and corrections of prior tattoos is a thing of the past for him the work is authentic. Your money is well spent with Damien the new Picasso. After watching Damm tattoo one of my friends, I knew I wanted him to do my next body work. The atmosphere was comfortable and very relaxing. The place was clean. His vision for my tattoo was way better than what I orginally envisioned. His personally is amazing, which made it easier for me to brace how nervous I was. And of course I LOVE MY TATTOO!

Just got home from an almost 5+ hour session with Damien and I am completely blown away by the entire experience.First things first - the shop has a modern vibe with clean lines and an open plan. Its a very cool asthetic that lends itself to keeping you calm and relaxed in the chair. I cant speak enough about how clean and sanitary the place is. All of the needle packets were opened within my viewing and any questions I had about the types of ink and solutions were answered thoroughly.Now the tattoo and the tattoo experience, wow. Just. Wow. This is a one of a kind piece that exceeded any possible vision of it I had. I came in just 24 hours prior with a rough idea of a floral bracer with a few other symbols to add onto previously existing tattoos. I wont lie, tattoos are painful, they just are. Damien made sure to check in with me on how I was feeling and whether I wanted to take a break at regular intervals - even during a history lesson he gave on the art of tattooing. Hes a great conversationalist and super respectful, it made the time fly. He also made sure that I took a few breaks, to stretch or nibble on a snack or chug some Gatorade. Im so thankful for that, that just shows how professional he is and how he cares about his customers.Speaking of professionalism, a previous customer came in while I was in the early stages of my piece and had an issue with an inner finger tattoo. Damien spoke with him, explaining that that hell do the touch up but he was in the middle of working on me. He told the guy, specifically, that he either can come back tomorrow or he would call him once he was done with me, depending on the hour but it would be pretty late. Instead the guy came back, again while Im still being worked on and just sat there. Seeing that I still had almost another hour to go, I took a much needed break, but also so that he could quickly touch up the fine line tattoo - Damien needlessly apologized to me but Id rather he get this guys touch up done instead of him just sitting there watching me get inked for the next hour or so. Personal opinion, but why do people get ink in between their fingers when it fades almost immediately?? Especially if you dont follow after care instructions? (Side bar, how do you not tip? Like, seriously?)Anyways, I cannot recommend Damien and Damm Nice Tattoo and Body Art enough, he is truly worth every penny and Im already planning for my next appointment.Thank you, Damien!

Very good artist, I could not be more pleased with my tattoo, His prices are actually very good for the work he does. I always feel like with a tattoo you shouldnt look at cost, but with him you get quality work at a good price. Also very important his space is very clean and private, and he doesnt press really hard with the tattoo gun like some artists, I sat for a 5 hour tattoo, and I didnt feel that bad at the end of it. My daughters and I had an AMAZING experience today! My girls got their first tattoos and I started a sleeve. He took his time with each of us and talked to us about our vision for our tattoos and what they mean to us. I absolutely loved my experience. My friend and I thought about getting our belly buttons pierced on a whim on Black Friday just because we’ve been saying for years we’d get them pierced together. We literally called and asked if they do belly button piercings and walked in about 2 hours later. We were nervous and a little dramatic ahead of time thinking about the pain that might come with it, but the owner really eased our nerves and joked around with us to calm us down. He did an amazing job piercing both of us and was very patient with us and made us feel comfortable. The shop was very clean and they took even extra steps to make sure that everything and every tool was clean or new and the same tool was never used on the both of us. Overall, great work, great customer service, and I would highly recommend to anyone. I plan on going there for future piercings and tattoos.

I contacted him on the 3rd at night, he responded right away and made an appointment for me at 9am 4th of July morning! I wanted an anchor on my wedding finger and was going to put my sons initials. This was my first experience at this shop. The shop was very nice & neat. The owner was very nice & helpful made me feel comfortable about my first coverup (scar tattoo). I made an appointment for August 7th at 1:00 pm online using your self booking feature to get my nose pierced, paid the 20$ required deposit for my appointment and then when I arrived at 1:00 pm the shop was closed. I had read another review saying you didn’t do nose piercings, but I still was able to make the appointment and confirm it over email and messages, so I thought maybe you had lifted your Covid-19 precautions. He never heard of him before and was poised to consider getting tattooed by him. Not long after, Damm Nice had tattooed a serpent fighting and eagle across his neck. The process was well thought out and they were done in under 4 hours. Uncle Frank wants everyone to know that Damm Nice is a kick ass tattoo master and is a stand up guy. I didnt know what to expect only that he does phenomenal tattoos and other art works. I live in Red Hook BK and there is a tattoo art movement happening over here now. However, up and down the Hudson, everything looks the same. Traditional old school or Japanese. Not much outside of that.For some reason I expected a regular tattoo setting- Store front, tattoo pictures on the wall, artists buzzing away. In fact it was the opposite and somewhat transcendent. Peaceful. Secure. Now about the man.I imagine he can be taken lightly. Hes short, and sweet and pleasant over all. But not the push-over type at all. As we were going over the details of my tattoo he let up another client of his to discuss their tattoo. This guy looked like Rick Ross should look like- tattoo wise. They handled their business and left. Out of curiosity I asked Damm Nice who the guy was because he looked famous and he he said, yea. You can read about him in Feds magazine.On the wall you will see paintings and illustrations, signage and the like.I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for something outside the box. Provided they are willing to come up to Yonkers. He does travel he told me any where in the world- if the clients are good money.Thank goodness he takes plastic :)

Very clean place. Definitely a shop you can go to, with your friends, or your signaficant other. A person could even schedule an appointment for a late night visit. I was real psyched about my tattoo. Very prideful of it. Dude got skills.

I made an appointment for March 27th at 3:30pm online using your website to get my nose pierced, paid the required deposit for my appointment and when I arrived at the shop, it was closed...conflicting information is posted is a few palaces that lead me to believe the shop was open.. and it if was closed I shouldn’t have been able to make in appointment in the first place.

Everything was seamless from booking the appointment to the actual appointment. He did a wonderful job on my daughters second holes. Highly recommend!

This guy is hands down the best. He made me feel comfortable from the very beginning, held a great convo throughout the entire process, and gave me exactly what I envisioned in my head. I would highly recommend him because after all he is damn nice.

Went here with my friends first time just to check it out, friend got a great tattoo, 2 weeks later get the tattoo I’ve been thinking about for awhile and turned out great. Great experience plus we watched almost 3 full movies by the time the tattoo was finished

This place says it’s open 24/7 and walk ins are available. So I called and they texted me back saying that if I want to keep contact, to text them back. They were not open when I arrived. They was no one inside the shop. The person who texted me from the business phone call, said they were not available for immediate service and that they would refer me to someone else. Keep in mind the business hours claim to be 24/7 and that walk ins are welcomed.
