Mad Tatters Tattoo & Body Piercing

I will ALWAYS recommend this place!! Not only is everyone super sweet, but also extremely knowledgeable!!! All of my tattoos and piercings have been done here and they always heal great! Also I am obsessed with how they decorated the new building.

Great group of ladies in this shop. They were lovely and all of their designs were beautiful! I got pierced and it was a great experience. Definitely worth the 1.5 hour drive we took to go.

My daughter had 2 piercings done here and I didnt want to go back after the very rude attitude from the piercer! But my daughter insisted so we did bad choice!!!! The people there are so rude and unfriendly and wouldnt even allow me to go back with my daughter! Do not waste your money it isnt any wonder why their parking lot is always empty with the way they treat their customers!!!! We will not be revisiting ever!!!!

I dont know how this is rated number one on yelp, how its first up on the search list, or how old this list is. Moved here two years ago and tried twice to get an estimate / appointment and both times was treated incredibly rudely by the staff. First time I wrote it off as guess someone had a bad day. But after the second time it was more like no these are genuinely pissy people who do terrible cursive tattoos, trampstamps, and babys feet tattoos of babys who dont know their father. Just the worst attitude mixed with the most hard-core white trash vibe on Earth. Finally found another shop and told the guy about my experiences with this place and he said yeah they get me at least half my business. Save yourself the trouble, go literally anywhere else. ​

First time going here and I will be back! Awesome work and an awesome environment where i felt comfortable. Tori was my artist and she did such an awesome job on my tattoo.

This place is awesome. They make you feel so relaxed and comfortable when you go in. Their work is top notch and they have an amazing group of people there. My wife is very shy person but when she goes there she opens up because they make her feel comfortable. We absolutely would and have recommended them to anyone and everyone who’s wanting a quality tattoo. We’ve primarily been tattooed by Harley. She’s an amazing artist and a wonderful person.

Sweet, homey, with a fabulous staff. Ive just gotten my first tattoo (at the age of 60) and I cant imagine a more pleasant experience. Macy was wonderful! I hope this is the first of many visits. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Very first time going into Alabama pricings and tattoo shop. This place is so wonderful! Ive decided to get new piercing last minute one day. Called and they got me in the same day! The shop is filled with ladys employees. Very friendly and honest also very clean place. I would recommend going here. Definitely my new favorite place!

My 5 stars is solely for the piercer. She’s done multiple ones for me and has always been caring. I went into shock once and my sugar dipped and she immediately stopped what she was doing and tended to my needs. She got me a snack and a juice and made sure I was safe to drive and even made sure I made it to the bathroom safely as I was unsteady on my feet. Pictured are the tattoos that I’ve had done here, and well I don’t really think I have to explain myself in that area. Otherwise, fine establishment.

I first went to Kim and had him do my first tattoo of my kids name on my shoulder 9 years ago. I went back yesterday for a recolor and I still received the same quality of work. The shop is clean and the staff is very friendly. My daughter also has been getting her tattoos here as well. The prices are great. Keep up the great work and ILL BE BACK

Literally did such a good job! Harley did both me and my sisters tattoos and she made us feel very welcome and kept our minds off the whole situation, and we didn’t even notice the pain. 10/10 recommend!!

A family-friendly tattoo shop?! Yes! It really truly is! Kim does phenomenal work! He is an incredible artist and I havent had a tattoo I love any more than the one I got there! He went out of his way to make sure I was happy with the design.

I have been to this tattoo shop twice and both were great experiences! Harley did my first tattoo and Amber did the second, both of them are so friendly and my tattoos turned out amazing!!! Cant wait to get another one! :)

About a year ago i went to get my septum done at a shop in scottsboro and it was horrible traumatic experience due to him doing it totally wrong. i went to lee yesterday and she walked me through the whole process as she did it and it was SO much better. she wasn’t hesitant to answer any questions about cleaning i had through facebook. definitely will be back!

I love this place!! I got one on my ankle and I’m so in love with it! I showed her the picture of how I wanted it and she drew and came up with something different and even better! I will definitely come back here again for my next tattoo!

Kim is the best tattoo artist I have encountered. He did my tattoo free hand and it was absolutely awesome. I took a photo of what I wanted. He took this photo and did the tattoo totally free hand. I have had others where they just copy it and paste the tat on your arm and trace it. Thanks Kim for taking the time and the patience it takes to be the professional tattoo artist that you are....

I got my first piercing here and the lady who did it was super friendly and very steril. This is definitely my go to place for any body mod work I want done!!

I went to Amber a little over a month ago for a large side piece I wanted done. In one sitting, I was tatted up and am still tickled with her work! Very friendly and talented staff; I won’t go anywhere else for tats.

I would not trust anyone but Mad Tatters to pierce or tattoo not only me but also my loved ones. I can take them an idea and have that idea made better than my original thought, & have it as a permanent piece of original art to be proud to show off. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. The shop is clean and all tools are sterile. Its nice to not be afraid to walk into a tattoo parlor.

Had two piercings done at once. They have a special on two piercings for $50 if done at The same time on the same person. The woman doing the piercings was very professional, took her time and it was very clean. The only problem I had was two days later, while I was at work, the bottom ball on my eyebrow ring fell off. It could have very possibly been because I was cleaning it with a cutip and it could have loosened the ball up, though. I called their sister shop in South Pitt and the owner replaced the ball for free while I was on my lunch break!

Mad Tatters is the only legit shop in scottsboro, AL. There are a lot of people who do tattoos in their house or in their shed, but this place is safe and clean and LEGAL. Very nice people, and i have not complained yet on the work i have recieved. There are a lot of people who wish they could work there i notice, but they really arent good enough, Kim is the best in town. There is another shop in Rainsville that is good, but if you want one in scottsboro, go to Mad Tatters. Everything is sterilized, he finishes the tattoo you want and you get what you pay for and more. They make me feel like family any time i come in, they may not remember my name at first, lol but they are welcoming and are always impressing me with their work. When my pipa died kim did a memorial piece on my upper back and i love it, it is beautiful and i wouldnt change it. Kim is the only one i trust to touch me with a needle. He is very talented, and I am so glad scottsboro finally has a decent shop in town. If i were you, go in and take a look around. The atmosphere and his work will speak for itself.

I got my first tattoo here, And i hate it, the lines are terrible, they were way too thin and broken it was just all around bad to be honest, now I am struggling to find a tattoo that will manage to cover up the monstrosity on my back =( The guy was nice, but Thats about all I can say.
